Very clever hide TFTC. I had some spair time before going to a show at the Dunstan Playhouse, so happy to have found this one.
I couldnt work out the hint but also came up empty handed TWICE today after searching.Nevertheless we enjoyed the METAL BAND playing nearby, they were loud and awesome. Then went over the bridge and through the lawn and festival with food trucks.I LOVE ADELAIDE, first time visitor but ill be back
Today out and about on 289 of 366 days to get my daily cacher Dimond. Using my Garmin Etrex 22X, Garmin Montana 700 and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a different kind of a day. The youngest Husky went off for a very long walk, meandering in and around the CBD area, targeting many caches and a lot of adventure lab checkpoints. Over 40,000 steps were walked in total, which worked out to be a smidge over 30kms. Meanwhile, the two elder Huskies opted for a more relaxing day to rest and recover, hanging close to base with a handful of finds in between some shopping and a cafe lunch. An incredibly productive and most importantly, fun caching day, which if including AL's in the total, made for our biggest day of finds ever. We are all thoroughly loving Adelaide.Saw plenty of ducks, and ducklings on my walk today, but none in sight at gz of this cache. Quick find without many muggles about. Thanks for the cache
#24305. As I approached GZ I had a look at the hint. Hmmmm. We'd come across the same hint at a previous Adelaide cache, and had no idea what it meant. All of a sudden I had a light bulb moment (given the nature of that hide) and knew what to look for. Initially we went too close to the water, so backtracked to a higher level. I then spotted the type of object I was looking for, and there was the cache. Nicely done! TFTC.
We overshot this one then realised the cache was back thar. Hmm, we have met that clue before but had no idea what it meant, but having found a second cache, it now all makes sense! Another good hide. TFTC.
Great placement! And even with a pencil, after we had even bought a pen! A FP from us, nicely done! Tftc
Found at 1717 hours. Loved the hint. Just opposite the scene of the crime where the Swans lost by 112 points...
I don't think any ducks watched me find this, I can't be certain though.....
TFTC Sleepy Sloth 1 & 2 found it on 24.8.24 cable tie hints good. Not where we first expected
Den Hint haben wir nicht gecheckt, aber dann mit den Tipps von einigen Vorloggern dann doch noch gefunden! Tftc and greetings from Minimuff from Mannheim/Germany
What was planned to be find #500 was almost a DNF due to a muggle standing right by the GZ. But having explored some other options, and then read the logs and hints, I looped back around and eventually the coast was clear to make a quick find. TFTC Freddo.
Help! Large group of first timers with people with disabilities and Support staff.
Perfect height for Master A to spy! Beautiful afternoon for a spontaneous stroll along the river to fund 'treasures!'
Today was our last day in Adelaide (from Brisbane). Most of the day was filled with a roof top climb on the stadium and a drove to Hahndorf. Didn't get a lot of caches today. I think the holiday energy had worn off. Poked in and around with a stick but couldn't feel anything.
Found with Nubbutpro and our makeshift compromised team. This is simply a late log. TFTC! #109
Nice sneaky hide, found quickly but definitely could've caused headaches on another day. Cheers
#14005 15:55Our final day in the Adelaide area, travelling from Barosso to Adelaide for our flight back to Sydney. We made a quick find on this sneaky hide.TFTC Freddo.
Walking around Adelaide with the Compromised team, we arrived at this cache, and shortly after, Glacial1 found the cache, stating, our names shall forever be immortalised along the Torrens river. TFTC
Almost destroyed the irrigation system looking for this one. Save yourself the trouble. First cache, first find!!!
Duck that for a game of soldiers, must be quackers to attempt this cache on a game-day. No worries, put it on my bill. Waddled over and soon had the cache in hand. So long, and thanks for all the caches. Still here btw.A mish-mash of a day today as a couple of my group (me included) realised that our trip to Adelaide would be extended for up to a week, oh no, quel domage. So I headed out early doors for a few early morning picks down Mawson Lakes way. Then had a coffee and chat to farewell a colleague, then afterwards was a trip into the city to pick off a few low-hanging fruit. I filtered my app to Wherigo, Letterbox Hybrid, Earthcache and Virtual but flicked on Traditionals and off depending on where I was etc. A great day to get some awesome, and popular, caches under my belt. As ever, the appreciation to the COs is most genuinely respected.
A couple of years ago I came in search of this cache but I feel the ducks were watching me and I didnt have any luck. Today I ducked by and Ill be ducked, there it was TFTC FreddoKeep smiling
I spent the morning kayaking around the dolphin sanctuary, mangroves and ship graveyard. As this will be my last opportunity to come into the city before i go home next week we are back to visit a few more places on my must do list, and of course pick up any caches we come across along the way. TFTC Freddo#16579
Found it I had looked for this one previously, today with more experience it was found in the first place I looked. aka the coloured mint tin by the sea peopleaka Minty ManTFTC
Found whilst in Adelaide for the mega on 29 Feb, The Great Leap Forward. Nabbed this one after my paid guided tour of Adelaide Oval, what an incredible place. Quick find at GZ, nicely hidden. Next to the river here is lovely, too. TFTC!
Out with Tankengine and Dty73 on a last day in Adelaide grabbing as many caches as possible. Cross this one off the list. Kutgw
Day 5 - Tankengine, Youban and I decided as this was our last full day in Adelaide we would target a few further out choice caches, counties, events and then a few for numbers. This cache: Quick find. Between muggles. I wondered if anyone notice I tied my laces twice?? Tftc!!!
**Today**Another long day of caching in Adelaide! We made a new recruitment to the group today, welcome Brain! So myself, Brain, DSD, pantspeople and Muppet95 all squeezed into a car and headed off to clean out some more bucket list caches! We started off with the morning event, before heading off to the North Adelaide precinct for plenty of TOTT caches and others nearby. This area alone kept us busy for 4 hours! Muppet95 then had to be dropped to the airport, farewell friend, thanks for the laughsWe then headed out to Urban Easy as it was an old date we didnt want to miss, whilst also getting another old cache nearby that started interstate! It was then time for pantspeople & Brain to be dropped off at the airport via a couple more caches! That leaves just myself and DSD! We decided to grab a few more caches in the south east corner of Adelaide park before calling it a day! Thanks to all the COs **This Cache****Signed as AB! for Adventure Boys which included Loci612, DSD, Muppet95, pantspeople & Brain on this occasion***I lost my fishing pole sometime on my walk around this area & it was gone by the time I went back to each stop. If you were a mega attendee that found it & would be kind enough to return it, I shall reward you. Thanks!*Its a little bit embarrassing when you have 4 people searching for a 1/1, even for 5 minutes! Thats 20 minutes if you add the people + minutes together! Not sure why it took us so long, but Brain eventually landed his hands on the goods! Maybe I should have listened to the T1 a bit more literally & the spots would have been more limited!TFTC
Found during a somewhat spontaneous and impromptu trip to Adelaide for 'The Great Leap Forward' Mega Event. Made the most of the unique opportunity and had a very memorable experience! Teamed up with Loci612, DARKSIDEDAN and pantspeople. Thanks to all Cache Owners for their contribution to the game.A quick find here after walking around Adelaide Oval. TFTC
Sneaky spot for the geocache to be housed. Fortunately we dont suffer from Anatidaephobia. Found with the AB! - Adventure Boys - myself, Brain, DARKSIDEDAN, Loci612 and Muppet95. Brain came up with the goods here, after a little bit of wandering and searching by the bike path. Nice day for a stroll around the areas adjacent to Adelaide oval. TFTT (thanks for the traditional)!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to Traditional Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Hey thanks for placing this cache. I have enjoyed finding this cache and many others during the South Australian MEGA. I have signed this cache either DSD or DARKSIDEDAN or AB or Adventure Boys depending on the logbook size.

6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.During our 5 days in Adlade, we visited the centre and around while following the caches and labs. We resolved some mysteries before our trip. We made some great discoveries and great experiences.Multi simple, i like. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
Finally time to be in Adelaide and we arrived a few days early. We set up camp in Walkerville and settled in for a few days.Today we joined forces with Robmc and headed towards and into the city on the bikes. A day of mixed fortunes but this was one of our successful finds. It was a big day of riding and caching and we were pretty tired at the end of it all.Gotta love a duck - or maybe not in this case. Love a cache thoughA beautiful day to be out riding along here. Thanks for showing us the sights.
Found at 12:32 with allrounder. After getting off the Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) ship, we headed into town for a look around and grab a couple of caches. After making the first two finds we decided to hire a scooter to zip around and look for a few more and cover a bit more ground. A pretty quick find. TFTC
Found @ 12:32pm with hccatcher11415, our third for the day after arriving in Port Adelaide on the Queen Elizabeth. After hiring some scooters to save hccatchers feet, we extended our wander across the river. I was searching elsewhere when hccatcher spotted it. Neatly hidden! Thanks again Freddo
In the area to take a tour of Adelaide Oval. Has enough time to zip here to find this cache. Nice hide.
On an west to east and back roadtrip, on our 2nd visit to Adelaide this trip, staying in the city for a few days. Out for an early morning stroll along the river this morning, and took the quiet moment to pass by this GZ. While there was no muggles about to be bothered by, I'm pretty sure there was a duck or 3 keeping watch. Thanks for the hide Freddo
