Logs
I'd been advised before the latest log was placed that this cache is missing in action again. I'll check it out ASAP, but fear it's gone for the second time.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! Couldn't make much sense of the hint - it appears a plaque is missing, so ended up utilizing PAF - we're a tipp'n it's a miss'n, as it wasn't where we were advised to look.
FEEDBACK TO CO:- Perhaps you need to check the co-ords again as the place where it was suggested we look was a good 8m from our GZ. Also, it would seem the reference in the hint has been removed!
Thanks for the hunt anyway glyn(the only one) .

Have been here before, searching in the garden bed with no success. Today, with new co-ords in hand, it was a quick find in the blustery weather. Thanks glyn(the only one)
My GPS was playing funny here, so after exhausting all posibilities finally realised there was one more place to look...and found the cache there, natch. I was glad to find this in the end as I was about to pull the pin.
Cheers glyn
Coordinates taken afterwards with Garmin averaging for about 5 minutes: S37 44.811 E144 59.876

GPS lead to a spot in the garden bed. Look all over to no avail. Read previous logs that said it was about 8m south of that point, which lead to the chain fence area on the path, but also had no luck there. Ran out of time for a more detailed analysis. I'll have to drop by again another time.
After finding the other one nearby came and had a look for this. Was a straight forward find with the clue and last finders offset. Had S37º44.811 E144º59.867 on the phone when found. TFTC

After a long detour for a dnf further north I was driving past so stopped for a look. The coords were pointing in the garden but I positioned myself in the closest position on the path (about 7m south) and used the hint to locate the well hidden nano. Took a while to pull it out of it's hide as it had slipped behind but I was soon signing the log.
Thanks glyn for the cache

Read all the logs and dnf's and expected a zip like all the rest.
But was lucky to spot it at the second place looked after 40 seconds.
Only had 8m out at gz, so that's ok .think the cache colour just makes for a tricky find and could see how many would miss it.
Many thanks for the hide in a park I had not seen before.
Found at 1.10pm between showers.

No luck for me this morning trying to find it. It was 2:19am when i called off the search. My gps was leading me to what i thought could be the correct area. Maybe just under torch light i was having no luck.
Now though checking back and seeing some other DNF's and maintenance log it might not be there. Will keep an eye on this cache to knock over in the future.
Edit: Now that i have looked over the gallery pics. I think i was looking in the wrong area and have an idea where the cache could have been. As it isnt in my local area. I might take me awhile to retrieve this one. So if the Ollave is still able to check and confirm that it is still there that would be great thanks

Today I was met with a spare Sunday, having done all of my homework for this weekend on the Saturday. Dad was free too, which only meant one thing. The question was: where to go? I decided to head up North and do a sweep as best I could across the Northcote/Brunswick area. Very minimal DNFs and a lot of new areas discovered meant a fun day was had in an area I have visited many times. This was the 3rd of 3 DNFs today .
Spent a long time here but no luck.
Thanks anyway
PS, sorry for such a late log (writing this on 1/9/13) but I guess its better late than never!

As the local mainter I'll go take a look. Three DNFs and one suggesting the coordinates are off; sounds to me like it's drifted. It's plain not that hard, if it's where it's supposed to be.
Due to "Real Life" it may be 7-10 days until I get to check it out. *sigh*

Find #4 for the day with Erin-Rose. This one was a nasty one, I'd been here several times and not found a thing. This time I got my hands on it, with help from Erin-Rose. The coordinates are off by some distance - maybe worth re-checking and re-calibrating? Still, cheers for the cache.
This is the second time I have tried this cache, and unfortunately nowhere to be seen. Might be that I just wasn't looking hard enough, though I did scour the area fairly well.
The GZ had me far too far into a garden bed to feel comfortable. The Hint is rather obscure but seemed to be dragging me about 10 metres away. Maybe I have a low tolerance level but I really can't be bothered spending my time searching for Nano's under such circumstances...
Very handy knowing the local maintainer who has replaced this one, but hasn't been enabled yet! Headed here today for my second attempt, the last time it was missing so this time I was able to just walk up and grab his one. Thanks to glyn for this one.
Searched for quite a while before reading some previous logs. A search in vain. Another time , another day
Stopped by for a look at this one on the way home today, but I fear it may have disappeared. There seems to be some maintenance under way around GZ and the bridge has bee taped off, the little extension path at GZ has been pulled up, the bushes pruned and some of the posts removed. I didn't have the picture from the listing with me, but I found no sign of the plaque, so didn't realize the significance of the cache name. There didn't seem much point in searching, as I had no idea where to start.
Thanks anyway glyn

Enjoyed finding this one. Definitely needed an extraction tool. Wasnt a fan of the huge spider guarding this one though. TFTC. Found with Erin-Rose and geopup
Took a walk through this gorgeous little park after finding the Phantom!
Cleaver little hide although I am not a fan of nanos!!

This cache was much better than the previous two I'd just done. A creative hide and I liked the pun with the name. More like this please glyn!
Found with jimmytherat! Wow today has been all about smaller & smaller caches! The question is how small can you go!!!??
This is the tiniest cache I've come across. Great location. Never knew this park existed. Cheers to Ray. Found with Noelle04.
Fun cache, the hardest part was trying to roll that tiny log back up with my large blokey hands! At least 5 attempts were made. I would recommend you get hand reduction surgery to accomplish such a task.
This has been on my radar for a long time now, and this morning I needed a quick find to continue my streak for the GeosportZ marathon. It took a lot longer to find than it should have, then a few minutes to extract the container from its hide. Very quiet around here this morning. Cheers!
Nice garden and park......didn't feel like the end of the road at all (except for poor old Ray!) TFTC
Found at 19.55, the second of the night. Still just a newbie, but feeling more confident about finds now and with the clue, found this very clever hide. Thanks again glyn (the only one).
2nd of the 3 on the way back to the airport. Found my pen that I had brought to sign the cache was a suitable tool for extraction. TFTC on a cold and miserable day of Melbourne work.
20/06/2012 22:06 There are still a few caches here in Preston I have not collected so I decided to swing by here and get one. This one might have been trickier than I expected as I didn't realise it was a nano till after I had found it. The clue was nicely vague and with a bit of thinking I managed to locate the cache fairly quickly after that. No more than 5 minutes hunting in all I am guessing. I managed to squeeze myself into the last spot. Log is now full. TFTC glyn(the only one) TNLN SL
Logbook is now full. As its a nano there is simply no where else to add a signature till its replaced. - David
Found 10.15 am
Lovely quirky little park. I drive past here a few times a week and never known it was here.
Great hide. TFTC

Out for a walk with MuggleWife and she takes great pleasure when she gets to find it before me. Ah well, you have to humor them!

A nice after-dinner walk....and a quick find in a beautiful park.

Found in the company of lochb, well she'd already found it, but left me to it, until I needed some help extracting the cache from its hiding spot.
Thanks again glyn(the only one).

Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.
Beautiful location, clever hide. The log is full, and getting quite fragile.

Had to be careful since there were gardeners around and one right on my tail. Glad there was a bush to hide behind. Couldn't believe how small it was! Didn't write on it because it looked full and didnt want to take it away to write on it and bring it back with the gardener there would have looked sus! TFTC
The first on the nano trip this afternoon. Beautiful place, great hide ! Thanks from germany!
Good find, though some muggle youngsters were sitting on the other side, the bush protected my handling! TFTC, nice park!
My 3rd quick find for this afternoon, I wondered over to check out Ray and found the statue had nothing to do with him. It was interesting anyway on the migrant history. A beautiful park and I am glad it was still light to enjoy it, thanks.
The park is fairly close to where we live yet we have not visited it before. We decided to look around and search for the cache on this lovely day. Thanks for the cache.
This one had me stumped for a while. After unsuccessfully searching the plaque, I cottoned on and located gz.

Spent forever looking for the plaque in the fading light only to realise it does not matter. Then found the cache, had some trouble extracting the little bugger. Pen made do as an extraction tool, just. TFTC.
Found @10:05 on a morning out caching, trying to avoid the heat. Nice park!

Whilst in Melbourne for a couple of days, I was going to have a look for this one.
I didn't have my GPSr with me, when I realized it was in a park I gave it a miss.
Will give it a go next time in the area.
Cheers

Thank goodness for High Vis for this one. Plenty of passers by. Made quick find with Troobloo. SL TNLN T4TC
Second look at it tonight and finally found it! We were over thinking the location and now it is a lot more obvious. Really got an idea of what "nano" means now.
Unable to find it in the middle of the night. It was my first cache attempt. I think we may have misunderstood the clue and over thought it.
Wow, how nano can the cache get! Coordinates exact, and the name of the cache also exactly right! Well done. Gardens lovely, and quite deserted. The dog I walked there had a good time too. Glad I was forwarned by another log to take an extraction tool.
First spot I looked, but got lucky! It's a good hide and another great park I never knew about. Thanks Ray! Only wish I brought a pen.
Found on a trip to Melbourne. My sister lives in Preston so took her and my nephew to find this cache. Thanks for the cache glyn.
3 quick finds in 15 mins after going to the Preston Market at lunchtime. My GPS was a bit all over the place with this one so I decrypted the clue and had a think. Thanks for the cache.
Found on the re-return, GPS coordinates seem a bit off, but it was cloudy. Great Hint Helped alot, I could of sworn i checked that spot last time but neverless found (21.14)
