I'm going to be replacing this cache with a Mystery hide in the same park area, so watch this space

It was time to eat and this location had some great facilities and views, an easy find.
Found this one by accident before I actually signed up, which I did today. I was near the dam seeking a trig station listed on the Australian Geocaching site & drove down here for a break. I walked around stretching my legs when I noticed your not so well hidden location & checked out of curiosity. Signed the logbook just in case. My first find no matter how unconventional.
Find Number 635, found at 8:37
I came to the highlands to take part in a bridge congress. Travelling to and from the event I attempted to find some caches.
After my overnight stop at Robertson I headed back to the match with plenty of time to spare. I have driven past this cache several times so i was pleased to have time for the detour. What a great spot. The GPS was all over the place but I soon spotted something obvious to a cacher and there it was. A very pleasant park with great water views.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found.
Thanks Muppet95 for the cache and for bringing me to this lovely location.

A nice spot. Can't believe we walked straight past the cache to start with, it's such an obvious hide!

Checking this one tomorrow morning!
Been a long time running since I've been back to this cache (since I placed it! - 2010)
Last time I remember, I was going to make it a multi hahaha, shows how much I know.
Okay, I'll be out there tomorrow just to give it a check up and the green light again
Enjoy

Yep, this cache is in fine condition, right where I left it 4 years ago!
Might need to re-think hiding spot or cache size as it doesn't blend well.
Might also need to top up swag/trinkets etc
Thanks,
Hayden

No one around today so a quick find. This is a nice spot for a picnic.

Found this one with the help of GeoSon. There were Muggles from overseas nearby so we worked together to out fox them. We used the birdwatchers ploy. Saw a white throated tree creeper and some spinebills. A great place for a cache and birds
Another good cache on a great day out with the WEEO, some Japanese tourists were watching us for a bit so the WEEO did a great job of diversion while I replaced the cache unseen. Great spot for a cache! TFTC
walked the wrong way but then realised my mistake and tracked it down. Ute Dog II didn;t mind tho'as she just loves walking.
Thanks Acko and Ute Dog II

Quick cache and dash on our way back to Bowral......water water everywhere is very apt! TFTC
A couple was having picknick at the nearly table. cache was found and signed and when Zargfinders replaced it the couple had already left.
Came to this beautiful spot this afternoon for one of our last caches for the day. Annoyed by the pointless barbed wire fence that we had to go around - I guess they weren't always planning to make it a reserve.
Walked up to the GZ and there were some muggles picnicking nearby. They must've thought we were weird but didn't know what we were up to. We made the quick find and moved away to sign in - then read the sign about the atrocious $44000 fines for jumping the fence.
When we came to replace the cache the muggles had (abruptly or not) ended their late meal - maybe because they thought we were weird - so cache replacement was easy. Then had some cookies and left.

What a beautiful spot. We would never have seen this location without the opportunity to find a cache, so we thank you for bringing us here.

Found this cache some months ago-not exactly sure when. So here goes at logging it. Lovely spot and thanks for bringing me to this cache.
Quick find as we were driving to kangaroo valley. Dropped a tb that we found earlier in the day but forgot to record the tracking code so can't log the tb. TFTC. Like the reservoir!
Boys raced to this one and yelled 'found it' . Lucky there weren't too many people around! Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot.
the park has been cleaned up and was an easy find once the batteries replaced in gps. [D:]
Illawarra Feb 2012. This looked like a very neglected picnic spot. Being blocked off from the water must reduce the attraction of the area. No problems with the cache here today. Thanks.

A nice looking area, but it certainly looks under used.......but thanks for the cache and showing us.
It certainly was an easy cache. I'm amazed that it's lasted so long, since it's fairly exposed. I guess the locals may not use the park so much. Anyway, we were happy to claim an easy find on a day when the water was not only in the reservoir, but falling steadily from the sky, also. Thanks

This one gave us a giggle, at how open this cache is. But it has lasted for over 2 years, so I guess it is hidden well enough . This spot could be nice for a picnic in good weather, but we were there when more water was coming out of the sky to add to the reservoir, so I guess we didn't see it at its best.
thanks

Cache was lying out in the open so replaced and hid it again. Dropped off a TB aw well. TFTC.
This was a quick find with no muggles in sight. Nice spot for a picnic. Found with snorris. Thanks.
A easy find, now that the works are finished and there are no muggles about on a misty day. TFTC
Found with ticktock19 after a little searching around. Cleverly hidden as muggles wouldn't likely go around that side.
Found this cache a bit tricky as the GPS was not very accurate under the trees. Once we had found it we took the TB and will give it a new home for in Sydney. After we left we found a family of new cachers looking in the wrong place. We nicely gave them a hint and they quickly found it. What fun it is in sharing the experience with others. Have fun Captain Ryan and family.
Wow, we found it! We are so happy to find our first geocache! Thank you to John and Dale for helping us out. Captain Ryan Sparrow is very happy with his new plastic dinosaur. He left a brand new ring!
Took us a little while to find this one as our GPS wouldn't settle, but we eventually spotted it.
Wow!!!! That's a lot of water!!! Dropped off "just add water" travel bug.. Cache was very exposed so we covered it over a little more TFTC
No problem after GPS settled down. Nice spot. Dam full. Thanks

Disappointed that we were unable to look for this cache as it now is a construction site, however, we did enjoy the beautiful water views of Wingecarribee Dam.
No construction workers around today so it was over the fence to retrieve the cahce. Everything is still OK. TFTC (563)
GZ was fenced off & workmen were around the area making it too risky to attempt a quick find.
4794 + 542 = 5336. Went on a nice caching run through the Moss Vale to Robertson region today...
As others have said the hardest part about this cache is the access issues. All quiet on a Sunday arvo so a quick run in, find, sign, and return and I was out of there !! cache needs some drying out. Thanks Hayden-nedyaH !!

Part from the area being closed and workmen leaving from a nearby gate. I made a quick find today TFTC
Having a day ticking off localish ones. This has been on my list for a while but concerned me due to the access issues previously discussed. After reading more recent logs I returned to see if I could gain access without jumping any fences and, while strictly speaking you can, I still don't think they want people in there. But I confess to being able to tick this one off after a quick search on a quiet Sunday afternoon. TFTC!
Not sure we where supposed to go in there due to construction site DID ANYWAY and a quick grab TFTC
After making my way to the picnic area and finding an unimpeded access point the cache was quickly located and log signed.

Area is partly fenced off,a walk way space between the fences allowed access. After a Long hunt and gps bouncing its location cache was found...a little damp on the inside.. TFTC.
Beautiful and quiet spot. Log book was damp looked like it had been sweating in the bag? Swapped a pack of cards for some small bells for our Bell Popcorn. Cheers!
The facilities and the road leading away from GZ are closed because the dam wall is undergoing some modiications. This work is not effecting the grased picnic area where cache is located. I was able to walk into the area without touching any fencing and made my way to GZ easily enough and made the find.. SLTN TFTC
Took the naughty option and did this just before dark, had to walk down the road a little to the gates and jump the fence. park is definitly closed until December 2012.
Did some poking around at GZ and geo kids and i soon had the cache in our hands
When the park reopens this will be a nice spot for a quiet picnic.

Let’s just say we’re really naughty. That cache is still there and holding up absolutely fine. This is a very nice spot. Looks like the area is fenced off at the front until December 2012. It doesn’t look like they’re doing any work though, maybe they’re just rebuilding the toilet block. Thanks Hayden - nedyaH for a great cache.
It's definitely, absolutely 2012. I can take a photo tomorrow if needed as I'll be in the area. But I double-checked the sign before posting my note below. Edit: photo attached.

Didn't read the logs on this one until we were at the GZ.
The signs on the fence say that this one is going to be out of bounds until Dec2012 so maybe it should be archived until then?

To expand on the log below, the sign actually says the area is closed to the public until December 2012! No idea what they're doing there, but without jumping a fence covered in warning signs, this cache will be unavailable for quite some time.
Area was fenced off for building works when we visited today.
Could have jumped the fence but that's not a good example for the kiddies is it?

Found on a run with paegle boy through the Highlands.
We were just lucky here- the GPSr were bouncing all over the place and darkness was almost upon us. Eventually relying on the GPSr and moving a bit of leaf litter the cache was in hand. Thanks!
