As the previous visitors have noted, no cache to be found, despite a very thorough search. Geokids very disappointed
This cache does indeed appear to be missing as we (hccatcher11415, the geomunchkin and I) searched all the likely spots. It was our only DNF amongst 11 finds for me today.
We will return when it has been replaced.
We will return when it has been replaced.
Thought we would stop at this one on the way back. Found the likely spot however no cache in sight. I'm guessing this one may have been muggled as lots of people walk through this area. Will come back another time once it's been fixed.
I searched, but all I found was an empty stump with a pile of rocks. I left a piece of paper with my name on it in case that is meant to be the cache. Is it?
This was a nice quick find on our way home - it is nice to get a good sized regular container - these are too rare around Canberra! We dropped off Brian the alcoholic TB and Sevilla GC and signed the log. TFTC
Last break on our long drive from Lake Entrance to Canberra.
No. 7 today.

The container has seen better days, but still suffices. Container was empty except for logbook. We filled it with trinkets. TFTH. TNLNSL.
A quick find - always find these sorts of containers very satisfying to find TN, left a lego magnet. TFTC!
Nice little stop, I wonder why they would close this down, with all the road safety and stop and revive schemes. Anyway a nice little place to stop, thank you
A weird thing with this cache. I tried to select it with my GPS and everytime I did my GPS froze. In the end I gave up and used divine guidance. Lucky the place to stop was obvious and the cache was easy to find. When I tried to pull up the cache from my GPS a moment ago to get the GC number so I could search for it and log it, my GPS froze again. I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem with this file? Anyway, I'm glad we stopped. As I said, it was easy, and the only ammo tin (apart from one of those cute tiny ones) that we found the entire weekend. Thanks
#1402- I love these old road caches- Great to see an ammo tin- we felt quite at home! Watch for the cocoon under the clasp on the lid- just in case there's something live in it!
TFTF quick find on way into Canberra train station. First cache found on the Cooma -Canberra road many to go as its usually night when we do this trip every month
I vaguely remember a rest stop around here, maybe this is it. Quick find, but took a lot more time to rebuild! Grabbed TB. Thanks for the big one.
Slowly catching up with my late logging was here in May with Code 1. We enjoyed the view after a short stroll along the old road. Had thought about doing more of the CCC trail but have left it for another day.

Its neat to visit these old roadside site that don't get used anymore.
Nice easy find, Enjoyed the view and off we went again to make our way to the airport.

Today was the day we decided to head south and collect some smileys in Cooma and surrounds.
We decided to do this one on our way back from our Cooma run. By the time we arrived it was dark, once we found our way in, it was a quick grab.

Anzac Day was the ninth day of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland. The day was fine but, at times, a very cold wind was blowing. As it was a public holiday, it was an ideal time to tour around the centre of Canberra to complete the Canberra Virtual Tour series – with the exception of the National War Memorial, we were able to complete these before going off to the Anzac Day March and Service. We then visited MtBikerOz before heading off to complete the data collection for the ACT windmills in Great Aussie Icon Hunt series. Finally we were able to find a few caches. Overall, a very busy and enjoyable day.
After being successful in finding "GC1H5V1 TV Trouble" we noticed that this cache was nearby. We set off for this cache but discovered that we were on the wrong side of a barbed wire fence. So back to the wombat hole in the fence (see the log for TV Trouble if more detail is needed) to get onto the right side of the fence. It was an easy walk to GZ where a quick find was made. #120 Loved the hide, some might call it architecture!. How many screwdrivers did these guys have? I have seen heaps today. TFTC
=) Found this on yet another epic caching adventure in Canberra with awesome caching peeps zita&enzo ... TFTC =)
50 of 50 caches found today on a mission with geo-bro ayepeacee, found at 2323h - yay our final cache today! And a great hide to end on. We love finding these containers and the gz proved to be very sweet as well. Ayepeacee was homesick for a hide of his own which is almost identical, we could only think of getting home for some sleep. It was an emotional moment for us all, we all defeated our most finds in a day PBs and visited places we had never been before. Thanks for adding to our experience with the CCC Black Bunny, we have two now which are unfound, we will be back to claim them before too long. TNLNSL TFTC!!
26th of 3429th total find at 11:13
On the spur of the moment, being awake at 04:00, we decided to do a cache run from Cooma to the outer suburbs of Canberra. After suffering "Cabin Fever" for the last few days, as we have been forced to stay indoors because of the rain, it was a really welcome change to get outdoors and enjoy the fine weather.
It is a real pity that the lookout here will become forgotten in the mists of time.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks Black Bunny for the cache

Lucky number 13 for the day so we called it quits. Who would have thought something this size would hide so well. Thanks Black Bunny for a fun filled morning.
My GPS went a bit crazy first. Maybe some ghost from older times. But then it was easy to find GZ. TFTC. TNLN
Super Cacherday Afternoon in Canberra! 50 finds. Signed log: TNGD. TFTC!
Last find for the day. A pity to find this attractive spot abandoned.
Thanks Black Bunny

8415 A quick stop and grab while out enjoying a walk along the Old Road.
Thanks for the cache Black Bunny

Our last caching day in Canberra with dreadful cold and wet weather but it didn't stop us from grabbing a few caches Mr Bushies2 walked up there by himself as it was raining slightly. Thanks Black Bunny.
Ok I'm a lot behind in my logging only about 80 since sep and this is the first one.
Thank god the garmin has field notes to remember it all.
Traveled down to guises creek for a remote controlled heli day.
After watching the heli's we decided to pick up some of this series of caches.
We enjoyed them all and I truely apologise for the copy and paste I am going to do to the others.
I just can't remember that far back, sorry.
However we did enjoy them so much that a couple a weeks later we finished all of the series.
Thank you for placing these caches, I love power trails.
Cheers GUIO

kitcatt +1 found it without problems. took the geocoin.....well not a real geocoin, only a copy. thanks BB
Gotcha !!! Thanks Black Bunny for all your efforts in placing a series of caches along this road.
It certainly gives others a chance to grow the numbers in a big rush.

Took the scenic route from the suburb rather than from the highway. Took Optical Illusion GC, left Templar GC. Cool spot, TFTC.
A nice easy find from a distance. Convenient broken fences made the walk more pleasant. TFTC.
Discovered this one already, however I dropped back and placed my first Trackable into it.
Enjoy

Looks like it would have been a good roadside stop some time ago.
Shame about people using it to dump some of their rubbish. A car bonnet and some chairs amongst it all. Cache was safely located.

Last of this series for us... thanks BB for putting them all out to break our trip up.
Nice lookout... pity there's a bit of rubbish on the way! Found the cache - love this type of container! TNLNSL
Last one (we think) for the great CCC series-thanks Black Bunny. Found on dusk, took green mouse left trading card. TFTC
A nice easy find after parking close to complete a few other local caches with Steeba.
Thanks
Thanks
Found this as the first on my walk up Tuggeranong Hill. After a bit of a fight with my GPS, I managed to track down the cache and discover the spiders that were very diligent with their guard duties.

I heard someone found a dead body here.
That, or they just kept on finding too much rubbish to handle here.
But in other news, i can totally see my own house from here. dont think i've ever been here before, even through i live around the corner. Ahh, geocaching will do that, i guess.
Thanks for the excuses to break up a drive!!

Sadly there was a lot of rubbish in the area and we would have needed a trailer to remove it all. We found the cache easily but had a little bit of trouble actually extracting it but didn't take long after a bit of adjustment to slide It out. Was a nice size Regualr cache. TFTC
Found with Stormcatchers. With a bit of direction from Miss Stormcatcher and a lot of grunting from Mr mnjontour, the cache was extracted from its tightly secured spot. Last cache of the day (and #18) and what we thought was the last find of the CCC series. However have since discovered that there are still two/three to find (Peter Rabbit and Br'er Rabbit...and perhaps Kelly Road Railway Crossing if it is replaced) . We shall return Black Bunny....
surprised to see one of my own rodeo screen savers as a swap in this one. took a geocoin and topped up with swaps....thank you black bunny for a great series
It was a very easy find. Cool and huge container, lots of cool stuff in there too (except a little real life spider which might be still in there). On the way back to the car we saw a big and cool caterpillar. Took hotwheels car in exchange for a trackable. Thanks.
We just brought our new car and what better way to celebrate then going for some caches... Decided to go up the Monaro till Williamsdale, 13 caches all up! Not bad for an hour, TFTC!
It's funny the things geocaching has an impact on. We now have a 4x4 for those caches the old car wouldn't handle. Fraggle_Rock, T-Rex05 and I went for a drive with a picnic in the back. Sadly we didn't find a nice place for our picnic on the trip, but we did rack up a few numbers with some drive-by caching. TFTC
Had some free time, so went for a drive. This was find #29 of the day, and well and truly into PB territory for me. Found a TB here which I now know is Adelaide bound. I'm not going there myself but perhaps it is more likely to move in the right direction if I leave it somewhere in the urban area. Let's hope.
Thanks for the cache and the series.

#649 - Was glad to find a local unfound cache big enough for the TB I needed to place. Quick find ...
Left Bert the Bug (who is in a dinosaur incarnation After dropping him off I note his owner now wants him returned to Adelaide, so maybe the next finder could help?

Missed this one on the last road trip to Cooma so inlcuded it in a quick wander in the area this morning. Not heading anywhere near Adelaide however so the TB can stay here for now.
First Canberra cache
Liked the Ammo box for the cache.
As for the lookout, Tree's have grown in front of the lookout since it use to be one. Guess the area in front of the outlook may be Caberra reserve and they are not allowed to cut them down.
Also I heard once that people kept dumping cars there so they closed it.

12th and final cache on my 700th GC cache run to Cooma. Very ornate packing of rocks around Cache. It began to pour while I was here so I didn't dilly dally more than I usually dilly dally ! Thanks for the series, I still have 2 to do but one was too play groundy for me at Bredbo and the Micalago one I just missed.
3845. [green]One of the Greasemonkey scripts I have installed adds a button near the Send to GPS and Send to Phone buttons on the cache page when there is hidden text. I noticed on a few of these that there is hidden text. Interesting. Anyway sad to see this area in such a state and wonder why it isn't done up a bit for the view.

[blue]Forgot to thank you for the whole series, it's certainly broken up the last few trips I've taken down this way. [/blue]

Shame that this area has become a dumping ground - I wonder why it was closed in the first place? Awesome cache container - stocked up the swaps and signed the log. TFTC!
Started to dsassemble the camo on the wrong side before realising what I was uncovering.. Picked up the TB
(7:35 AM) 1 of 33 caches found on a numbers run to Cooma.
Took me longer to get the ammo can out of its hide that to find the bugger. Rain was falling at this point and it was all I could do to deposit the TB and get back to the car.
EDIT
Just realised this was my 900th cache!

The first stop on the way to Cooma today with mr_roo and this one was a nice easy find, although mr_roo initially tried to retrieve the cache from the wrong side. The south side removal is the go! TFTC
Our 4537th overall find. This was my 38th find of 137 total finds for our Canberra and surrounds caching spree with FarmerFrentzen
Found at about 5:44 PM. I wonder why this rest area is all shut off perhaps the noise got too much for the residents? The cache was a nice quick find.
Thanks to Black Bunny for the cache.

Found during a mini invasion of the ACT and its surrounds with Big Matt and Shell.
Our last find for the series before heading back into the suburbs. I used to live only a few hundred metres from this spot and didn't even know it was here. Great to see yet another type of container too.
TNLN and thanks Black Bunny for an excellent series.

Shame that this lookout has been closed off, I wonder why? Anyway, makes for a good hiding place for a good sized cache and I wasn't disappointed....great spot and out of eyeview of passing traffic (which is all important when you need more time to decide what to swap for what). No swaps today though as the bag was empty but happy to sign log and enjoy it. TFTC
