Logs
Should have read the logs before heading out - lesson learned. We will be back.
Thought we'd have a bash as we've been known to find "missing" caches before today. But no sign of it. Looks like the river may have been thru here so unless it was hanging, probably washed away. [^]
will be back up in Blenheim in 3 weeks, so bookmarked and will check this one.
A place of great historic interest which I've passed many times. Thanks for making me stop here

The riverbed was a popular spot but thankfully GZ was quiet and unoccupied. TFTC

Quick find, guess it is lucky alot of the caches are still in place after all the flooding. Had extra bonus of watching model planes being flown nearby. TFTC
talk about soggy, I am sure the log sheet was doing the crawl around the clip-top, how can they leak so badly? Cleaned up the cache and put the old log in a sealed bag, then a replacement log in 2 bags, should keep things OK for a while.. Looks like the site got the worse of the recent flooding. TFTC it's still there and that is the main thing.. Blenheim Bear
Out and about exploring the Marlborough area. Nice spot by the river. Quick find. +TB SL. TFTC.
leap year, leap day. This was the first of 9 on a quiet day looking for landscape-suitable rocks for the garden. Found the rocks too!!
Had been to this area before so last time we were surprised that the gates were all closed off - but this time all was good and we were soon at GZ a quick find log signed thanks for the cache
Last time we came to do this one the entry gates were all locked off due to some work being done in the area. swe were glad today they were all open and we could dash in and grab the cache Co-ordinates were spot on so a quick recovery and return of the cache TFTC
Pulled out the thermos for coffee here before heading for the ferry.
+ a marble, - nothing.

First cache of the day, and a nice easy one to get us (figuratively) warmed-up. Cause it was a bloody cool day with a frozen start and high cloud keeping the sun away! Cheers Gav [9208]
3pm 9 1/2 hours of caching and still a few more to do,this was a great litle spot out of the way.no one around so was a quick easy find,Thanks for the cache
Once we got on the right side, and found our way in at night, the log was signed.

Logbook is saturated and found the cache exposed and ajar. Put the logbook back inside plastic bag but probably needs maintenance. TFTC
Ignore that call for maintenance. There is a nice new log sheet in the cache and everything is dry. SL TFTC
Today was tidy-up day for the caches in the Blenheim area before moving on to Nelson for two days. I was out with BaldEd again this morning. There were three young blokes camping down here.
The cache was very wet as was the logbook which was a soddne mess and unable to be written upon. Dried out the cache and left a temporary logbook.
Cheers for the cache.

First cache that I found whilst out caching with Tufty today. The cache was wet and the logbook was sodden. Dried the cache and contents and left a temporary 3 page logbook in a new baggie.
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
Oooops...theres more flooding in the cache than on the reserve. Log book too wet to write in. TFTC
Jr taybee is geocaching again in the south Island without senior taybee he is doing a road trip geocaching with this Nana and Auntie and look's like he is having a Good time TFTC #0764
First for the day while exploring in the region. The cache is intact but it has most certainly been inundated recently - the logbook is completely sodden and is becoming slimy. It was disintegrating as I tried to open it but I managed to extract the latest page and dry it sufficiently in the sun to be able to write on it. I have placed this in another ziplock plastic back that I had with me, unfortunately I didn't have another logbook or I would have replaced that too. I suspect the container leaked because the lid was not clipped on fully - I removed a lot of fine sediment from the clip grooves before I could push them home and lock it properly. Hopefully it'll be a bit more waterproof now - but it really does need some maintenance. Signed log, TFTC!
Was at some caches further along this river earlier today. Interesting to see these flood protection structures from a different angle. TFTC, Biggles.
Only one other vehicle there and they were further along the river. No problems with the cache. TNLN TFTC
Had to use the hint as the GPSr was playing up and seemed to be pointing to some nasty undergrowth. After that, it was a quick find.

A great spot and a quick find - missing smeyes today. Took ugly fly (kids have weird taste) and left harmonica. TFTC.
A nice quick find in an interesting spot, quite a bit of work has gone into flood protection obviously.

a rather dull day but another new place to explore is good. TY. + ausi geocoin.
The new Nuvi got its knickers in a twist trying to get us here, we resorted to looking at the map and commonsense. TFTC.
Know the area well, have borrowed stones for landscaping projects in the past, quick detour and find. FTF at 10.15.TFTC.
