Ok so the directions are incomplete do look at gum trees and a small tree with green moss and look down.
After I worked out which gumtree, I saw the tell-tale signs of a familiar hidden cache. 7metres out for me. TFTC.
Grabbing a few different hides while passing through the area.Poor horses, the track is so over grown. Eventually found what I was looking for, after expanding my search. Thanks coley_babee for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Scrambled into the bush with monica_is_evil and found cache also replaced log. all good. Thanks for placing the cache. TFTC
After attending an event in Nyora today with Skylizard, we stopped for this one on the way home. Initially wary of the long grass and snake potential, Skylizard realised there was a clearing a short way in. Cache located and signed before we headed home. TFTC
This cache needs urgent attention. Contents wet snd mouldy. Left blue smudge from my stamp
In the area for work and after finishing early, took a look at nearby geocaches that caught my eye. This was one of them.
The rain was holding off nicely and I timed it well getting to this GZ. However it started raining as I started running to the GZ. Thought I was jumping over the puddle into long grass, turns out I was landing in a larger, deeper puddle. Now my foot is as wet and damp, but luckily not moldy, as this cache and log. Needs TLC.
Thanks for the cache Coley Babee

The day was forecast to be one of those rare pleasant days in winter... so I took the opportunity to drive down to South Gippsland Shire and Baw Baw Shire to hunt out a few caches... the things you do when you take on *LGA Challenges*...
Nyora was my first stop... and this was my first cache for the day. Found it without much trouble... but the logbook was soaked and almost impossible to write on.
Thanks **coley_babee & wingsofanime** for the cache.

Found it first cache just around the corner for the young fella, book is a bit weathered.
Melbourne to Sydney Highway 1 Road Trip
Find the missing LGAs!
Day 1: Melbourne to Orbost.
I’ve made a find in Bass Coast and now heading to Warragul via this little town to collect South Gippsland. Cache took a while to find. Nice chips at the local shop.
Thanks for this placement coley_babee.

We had an overnight trip to Phillip Island to see the Penguins with the family. On the way home I made a plan to make a 10 min detour to grab this cache as it was in a LGA that I was missing on my map. So while the family took a little time to stretch their leg I headed into the bush on the hunt. It took a lot longer than I expected as my GPS bounced around. When I finally spotted the mossy tree I knew I was at the right spot. With the cache not being found for nine months it was well buried under so much leaf litter and mulch. eventually the log book was being signed and our journey home continued.

My pony tale probably has spiders and twigs and goodness knows what else after this search. But absolute miracle - I had given up and started to walk out but phone buzzed so I looked down. Unbelievable there it was! Log dry rest soggy but Ok considering location. Tftc.
Forgot to add - someone else wrote in log today as well which was also amazing as this cache hasn’t been found since last year

Grub62 was able to find the cache then I was sent on a mission back to the car to get a replacement logbook as the existing one was soaking wet and moldy. A replacement logbook was left in a plastic zip lock bag. Then Grub62 found a bison tube as well. The logbook for this cache was signed accordingly and positioned near the 1st. TFTC.
Find 9 for Bunadoorian and myself today. We were in the area for a Good Riddance 2020 Event - and after having lunch from the General store we came in search of a couple of nearby caches. We found this cache in poor condition - but did appreciate the significance of the cover of the log book. We have replaced with a new log book in a new zip lock bag keeping the cache in play. After signing this logbook and slowly departing GZ - I found a second cache which also had a log book on the ground. We have signed both logs and placed the second cache above the first cache. TFTC coley_babee and wingsofanime.
Took a few minutes to locate this one but eventually the cache was in hand
As previously recorded the log is in very poor condition and unable to be written on
Water emptied from the container (which appears in reasonable condition) but the log book unfortunately can not be saved
Needs URGENT attention if it is to stay in play
Many thanx to the CO for placing the cache

On a wet and dreary morning, I headed over to day1976's place and we headed down towards Nyora/Loch.
The weather had cleared up by now, but upon finding this cache, we discovered the logbook was very saturated.

Ilukaperi and I headed towards Nyora/Loch area for our day caching today. A nice drive, some spits of rain, but nothing to bad. First day being outside without masks on was a treat too.
Found the cache absolutley soaked. Not able to sign log book. TFTC!

Found after an awesome visit to TrickBots. Cache was found easily enough but was totally wet and pretty smelly.
Found after attending an even at Nyora, sadlly the log book was rather wet and soggy. Thanks for the cache.
Today’s frosty morning made for a sunny Sunday drive and a chance to find a few very spread out caches while enjoying the beautiful views of the area. We were pleased to turn this unfound cache into a smiley.
Thank you for the cache.

Headed up to Nyora for the CITO and after cleaning up this part of the road I came back to find this one.
A nice part of the world around here which I have never visited.

Find #4147. Found @ 09:51 with The Good Lady Wife.
What better use of a long weekend getaway than to have a relaxing couple of days on Phillip Island, and to target some caches.
Leaving the Island and on the way back to Melbourne, and I made a detour to collect a cache in the South Gippland LGA area. I needed this for my LGA challenge and as we were passing so close it seemed an opportune time.
The Good Lady Wife investigated the nearby cemetery while I made the short stroll to GZ. The kids remained glued to their electronic devices in the air conditioned comfort of the car as it would have been an awful inconvenience to actually participate is something other than what they want to do.
I made a quick find, and we were back on the road shortly afterwards.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache coley_babee

Oh, boy have these logs been on the back burner……… with the combination of a long hiatus and my phone with all my saved cache data of the ones I had yet to log being supposedly lost. With my eng/comp sci friend who managed to mess around with the phone and recover the data….. hooray time to celebrate. So that's why these logs are so late…. either thanks for the cache and the adventure….. and sorry for the generic log.

Since I did the Oxfam Trailwalker event (and numerous training walks prior) with Lost_and_Found_79 we have threatened to arrange a caching day out together. We finally agreed on the Grand Final public holiday and we headed south east to an area where neither of us had found many caches previously. We were on the way home here but we still had time to divert via Poowong and Nyora for a few more caches. This one was along the way so we parked nearby. The GPS was jumping around a bit and the hint seemed to fit a number of spots. In the end it was just a bit of diligent searching and I found this one. Our 34th find in a busy day of 35 total finds and a couple of DNFs. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache coley_babee & wingsofanime.

Annoying Tarbit and I decided to head to this area today for some caching. It ended up being quite eventful, with a rather diverse range of caches attempted (and mostly found!).
It was getting to the point that we should really hit the road to be back in Melbourne at a reasonable hour. But hey, there's always time for one more cache. Right? It took a bit of time to find this even with the good hint, mostly because the GPS was spinning. In fact, I had pretty much walked to GZ before turning away and looking elsewhere (caching fatigue!). AT made the discovery as I was off searching somewhere else! TFTC

Finding what appeared to be a good looking entry point, I was soon wandering along the little horse trail. Arriving at GZ I commenced searching and was pleased when expanding my search area to find the original container. I was so pleased, I took a photo of it! The satellites had me 5 metres north, but it was jumping about a bit.

On our way to an event at Nyora this came up on our radar. We pulled up behind a vehicle, and I noticed somebody I recognised get out and start walking in the opposite direction. I queried his driver and was told I needed to follow him.
So glad I did, and that I didn't attempt to bush bash. Together the cache was found, signed and replaced.
And we all continued on to the event.
Thank you for chance to stretch our legs and another to our maps

My horse Woody spent a couple of years agisted down the road, just past Loch.
Now he resides up the Yarra Valley in Three Bridges.
After we attend the geo-event in town we will go and visit our friends on the farm where Woody was.

Found it on our second attempt. Also found my hike boots aren't waterproof lol
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which is to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory (where we are heading to at present), Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
We approached this the difficult way, but once at Ground Zero we moved on to a nice quick find. We then found the easy way back out! Thanks so much for the cache.

Of course The Rustys and I took the hard way in to find this cache! Note to others - there is a wide path if you walk enter up near the electricity shed thingy . . .
The day has finally come for me to use my night away at Jongebloed BnB in Wonthaggi, which I won at the Wonthaggi New Years Event for my Lolly Log presentation. When I won it my husband kindly donated his side of the bed to a friend of my choice and suggested I make it a geocaching weekend away. Ummmmm okay!!! No arm twisting required.
This was one of the caches that we picked up on our scenic round-about trip to Wonthaggi via Nyora, Poowong, Korumburra and a heap of other quaint little towns. I had a mission to get 21 caches during the day so that I could end up getting my 700th cache out at Cutlers Beach for an epic milestone pic I had pre-planned.
We parked next to the cutest cemetery that I've ever seen and did a bush bash to the cache. It wasn't until we were at GZ that we found the pony track that ran close by. That's always the way with us!! This pony track is actually on the edge of my friends in-laws farm. She always talks about Nyora and "the farm". It's certainly a very charming town. Thanks for bringing us here.

We found this cache today at 4:55pm as 9 of 9 on our short but sweet Koo Wee Rup to Nyora caching tour. Our last find of the day and our second ever in Nyora with the first being SGR2 way back in 2006. Parking was a bit tricky but we soon had the cache in hand and we were on our way. Trivia - our 5th cache find with the word "Pony" in the name and our 4th with the word "Tales". Thanks from D, H & A B-A.
Nice little walk from the cemetery where there is good relatively safe parking and access to trail. Shiny new tower nearby spoils the ambience a bit but still a lovely spot free of Muggles. TFTC
Easy find in a lovely secluded spot. Relatively safe parking at nearby cemetery which gives good access to horse trail. Cache in good condition and coords spot on.
Suscoe was heading to the coast today.
A beaut day with good sunshine, a mild breeze and magnificent countryside to travel through.
We found a range of caches in size, type and placement.
This was our 26th find for the day.
A pleasant wander and find.
Lots of work going on over the fence.

29/09/2015 - 3.25pm - No. 513 - 1st for the day with dgfb33. This one has teased me with saying it was the closest for a while, while travelling between here & there. We decided this one was a good one to start our afternoon of finding. Thanks for the cache. Hot & cold weather has given me a head cold from the second day of my holidays = no internet for me until today (02/10/2015) so sorry for the late logs.
Clip clop clippity clop
The horsey plods along
Clip clop clippity clop
The horsey sings his song
When I was a little boy
How I did my trains enjoy
Then one day my horsey came
Nothing's ever been the same
Sometimes at the break of dawn
Dew drops kiss the front yard lawn
Horsey cooks me toast and eggs
And cracks the shells between his legs
My horsey took the family car
Drove down to the corner bar
Tried to drink a trough of beer
Got so drunk that he couldn't steer!
Fist Day of Spring!!! Love love love the first day of spring, went for a little drive to grab a daily cache and ended up here, in a bogy waterey road side near fresh smelling freesias.

We did not find the sistema container, we found a small bullet hanging from a tree. It had old logs from 2013, so not sure if we found the right one but it had the right title.
It was dark when we diverted to find this cache tonight. We are trying to get as many LGA's as possible. Luckily for us, it was a quick find under torchlight at GZ. Caching with Glanville Girls, ST37E and The Tritonz.
Found this one under the cover of darkness with McLookers, ST37E and The Tritonz. We detoured to collect this one as it filled a hole in our LGA challenge. Thanks for the hide.
Made a quick detour for this one as we headed for our o/n accommodation not to far away, as it will fill in another area in our LGA Challenge. Thanks for the hide.
Found in the company of Glanville Girls, McLookers and The Tritonz at the end of a massive day of caching along the coastline, this one was a nice quick find, although we most certainly chose the gardens possible route to GZ

I headed into Gippsland with Stemicmitsar to tackle a particular night cache that we'd been wanting to do for several weeks and also pickup whatever else we could whilst there.
Once again our GPS's didn't agree on the location of GZ. Mine showing one side of the track and Steve's pointing to the other side. Fortunately for me, on this occasion mine was correct and I found the cache quickly. [^]

While out and about searching for caches with Biggles1024 and this one was found.
Tonight we headed towards Korumburra to pick up a few multi's and whatever else was in our path.
This one was slightly out of our way, but we went for a look. We found our way through to the path and headed for GZ, my GPS was indicating one side of the track while Mark's was showing the otherside, it was Mark who found it.

That's a great one! Thank you! As one of the treasures was a bit lumpy I made sure the cache was properly shut to avoid dampness getting into the container. Swapped a marble for a marble, love those things. This was a great test needing to use open minded geocaching thoughts. Mindset changed with this and not very often taken by us so really enjoyed it. Thanks again x
I was glad there was a hint for this one. The GPS was all over the place and given it has been a wet morning and I had already negotiated a few wet patches on the trail, I didn't want to get too messy in the undergrowth! TFTC
