This was along way to come to be muggled out on a couple of occasions looking for this one.
I was staying at McGowan Island Camp and came up to Honeymoon Bay and Happyhour is not a good time to look for this one.
Who knows I might be back one day.
Thanks Liz and Bruce TFTC.

Enjoying 12 days at Honeymoon bay found cache as part of our stay a very beautiful place.

Kids didn’t find it in the evening so we returned in the morning to find it quit quickly in the morning light. Few muggles around so be patient. Lovely spot here but a bit of a mission to get to Honeymoon Bay. Dare I say it but this is probably one of our most remote geo’s. TFTC.

Sadly we could not find this one spent a while looking for it. A clue could help if anyone can update unless it was stolen

Out and about with Megawat60 and M4YB on our northern adventure to conquer the GRR and claim caches along the way.
This should be the northern most cache of our adventure and what a lovely spot. We are staying at nearby McGowan beach but will aim to stay here next time. The road in was a little confusing and the cache nice and tricky but with some local help we got there.
Thanks for the cache

Day 20 of The Northern Adventure with megawat60 and Two + Four. Yesterday we made our way to Kalumburu where we spent the night at the Mission campsite. Today we drove to McGowans Beach, our stunning camp for the night, then off to Honeymoon Bay for a look and of course this cache. After a little help and a lot of laughs with a regular camper we located it, SL, left pathtags and replaced as found.
Then on the way back we stopped at the “Office” met Lancho and his family, and bought 2019 calendars, coconut and mango icecreams, and a very special jar of Rosella jam made by Lancho’s Mum.
Thanks Liz and Bruce for leaving this cache, our northernmost cache in WA! A fave!

Out with m4yb and the Two+Four team on the Gibb River Road. Well today we are quite a bit north of the Gibb but really on a grand adventure. After a fairly grueling drive in towing Jonathan the geocamper we spent a good night at the mission then headed to McGowans for our next night, fabulous spot. Then a quick drive to this one with loads of laughs with some regulars, who did assist a bit. Finding the blighter and struggling with the magnet we completed signing duties and left a path tag. I also gave Lancho one after meeting him and his family and enjoying a beautiful ice cream snack. Such a lovely place well worth a fav.
Thanks for the hide & smiley Liz and Bruce

What a great trip to the top. Meet George (on site manager) who took us fishing and had fish for dinner in no time. Place a bit run down these day, but well worth going here as the people and location are just fantastic. When out with a fellow traveller fishing to george`s fishing spot and in no time had lots of snapper on board the boat. Great eating. Well worth the effort to get here. Christine & I had this cache done in no time, or I should say Christine found this one. TCTF Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce.

A fantastic place !! Big GrinBig Grin So so 70's lifestyle !! A long rough ride up to the top end but worthwhile. We unknowingly camped just about ten metres from the cache. Unfortunately, my iphone was out of range in the area so we borrowed a GPS device from a lovely couple who came with a boat and stayed in the area for 3 months a year for ten years. We had to satphone Bushies2 for the co-ordinates and thankfully she was able to send them. We looked everywhere where the GPS has stated and took us about 30 mins and found it after a break. Got so excited that we are a third to find it.

Stayed there for 4 nights and absolutely loved it and meeting George was special as he has a heart of gold and everyone was just so friendly at the camp as there were only several of us camping there. Caught some amazing fish we have ever caught. Thanks to George !

Definitely will be going back there for a longer holiday in near future.

Thanks Liz and Bruce for this. It appears that your cache is found once a year for this one LOL.

Found at 2.30pm GAFF4. One of the highlights of our 5 month trip was to be the trip up to Honeymoon Bay/Kalumburu - Western Australia's most northern permanently inhabited area, however for months we had heard that the Kalumburu Rd had been badly damaged during the big wet and that it would probably not open this season.
So you can imagine our utter delight and amazement as we approached Drysdale Station just 2 kms south of the turn-off a convoy of heavy machinery heading south led by a front end loader scraping the heavy corrugations. We stopped and asked one of the drivers what was all that about and he told us that they just finished opening the road to Kulumburu!!
What luck! So the next day we headed out without the van, although we probably could have made it to Mcgowans with the van such was the state of the road, and arrived after 4 hours at an ideal location. We camped just 18 metres from the cache and we had sea and island views right at our door step.
We met George - Les was in Kunnanara much to George's disgust. George took us fishing and gathered bait for us and spent some time telling us about the area.
The camp is somewhat tired and run down now and it seems that the owner has lost interest in maintaining it. The water pipes leak badly and water is not available after about 8.30am! A camper who has been going there for 30 years said that he will not be returning again.
The famous Wolf was not there this year! What a disappointment - how were we going to catch those big fish? However we were lucky to be there in the first place considering the dramas of the road situation. So instead we swam in the beach and fished off the rocks for a few small trevally.
A huge adventure that we really enjoyed. We also learned a lot about the local community and it seems that all is not the land of milk and honey, so we will be interested to learn what transpires.
Thanks Liz and Bruce and thanks for your briefing on that evening that seems so long ago now!

It is a long road up to here with some magnificent scenery. We got out of caching mode due to the lack of caches and too much swimming and lots of gorges. Consequently we had lunch about 10 meters from the cache but didn't do it. It would have been our most northerly cache too. Oh well, we left one down the road the next day and this will just have to be a lesson to us

Well, this was my first FTF! We had been at Honeymoon for a week, and were packing up to leave, when I spotted a big huge GEOCACHING Logo on the rear of a car! What is going on? Up here in No-Man's-Land I had come across Geocachers? Circling the auto I was looking for a Travel Bug Number but couldn't spot it. So I very rudely interrupted a conversation between people who had their heads under the bonnet of a ute, and asked "Where is the Travel Bug?" Well, Liz and Bruce were as surprised as I was that a fellow Geocacher was up here. We had a great, but short, visit and it was very refreshing to get together with fellow Geocachers, after not having any contacts with any since leaving home around a month before. You just never know what is waiting around the bend. TNLNSL TFTC

A great place to visit but it does take some effort.
