Found near camp site 3, roughly 15 meters easterly direction towards the estuary
Day 26 of my trip to WA from Adelaide.
After spending 3 nights staying with my sister-in-law in Bunbury, I visited a couple more caches near the city, headed out to the Leschenault Peninsula, then inland to Collie and Darkan before rolling out the swag at Queerearrup Lake. There was plenty to see slong the way as well as a few caches that interested me.
I was nearby for the letterbox hybrid cache and thought Id check out the picnic area and this cache.
Lid has come unattached from the container, which needs replacing. However logbook was still dry.
Thanks rjm1 for the cache.

Today's exploration took us to some places on the Leschenault Peninsula where we found several caches, along with ilook4geo. There is some interesting history to discover and great views as well. Our return trip to camp took us on a run along the highway, heading south again. Each log found was signed, mosly as GP2, ilg. Thank you to rjm1 for placing this cache which was quickly found.
Caching today gave us a run around the Leschenault Peninsula to see some beautiful sights and find some caches along with goingplaces2. We also cached along the highway heading south again, when we were going back to camp. TFTC.
It took a little bit to spot the cache, because time made his disguise even better

2nd try. Found it easily this time (not 40degrees!) Log wet - put in plastic ziplock with 2 silica packs.

After all my time in WA I have never been to this peninsula nor known about it's unique history. Thx for bringing me to this spot. Fascinating. Beautiful.
We thought we would try an area that we had never been to before. So here we are on the Leschenault Peninsula. So glad we came. A simple find. Be gentle with the delicate lid. TFTC
Nice view that I didn’t realise was there
Found log and signed but accidentally grabbed a highlighter instead of s pen sonwill go back and resign
Log lid is fragile

Quick find, cache was right out in the open and log on the ground. Re hid cache in what looked to be the right spot, TFTC
Not at all sure what we are looking for here. Searched the obvious places but no luck. Conditions not ideal so we left it for another day.
Amazing place! Could have spent all day exploring. Stayed the night in the campground. 10/10
We looked everywhere but couldn't find. We came back later with 6 pairs of eyes and... found it!
rjm1, we enjoyed the little walk to grab this one. Thanks for setting it up and bringing us to such an interesting area. Some history indeed.
A blustery morning in Australind. Koala53, ChickenHawk07 and I headed from the caravan park early to grab some caches before heading home.
Quick find here this morning.
I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at
[WA GOES BIG 2017](https://coord.info/GC6TD11) in Rockingham, WA.
Perths big event is on again.
**See you there**.

Spent the weekend camping at Belvidere Campgrounds.
Had a nice walk around the "interpretive walk" and read some of the history.
Mozzies weren't too bad but march flies were a problem. TFTC.

TFTC! Had a mission today. Day trip to Bunbury to complete some goals, some more important than others! We had a couple of archived caches to grab, one in dardanup and another south of Mandurah. The second was a cache to fill a square in our jasmer grid in the Wellington Forrest and the third a little less (or more) caching related depending on how you look at it, collecting steves pillow He left at our accomodation from last weeks mega caching weekend.
We met in Byford this morning, heading down South West Highway towards Harvey where we had a couple of caches near Harvey dam to collect which we didn't have time to grab on the way home from our trip on the weekend. All found relatively quickly except for running out of reception as one of us, who is in charge of the days list and saving offline etc forgot to do!!
We made our way around coming down to pickup bowling C our archived cache which was on better condition than most active caches I've seen lately, if I must say.
We then went down and grabbed Lenard Zinn cache which fills in yet another jasmer grid for us, we've nearly maxed out our potential squares we can fill in WA without venturing to the Northwest.
We then moved our attention to the leschenault peninsula and a few older caches on the list there which have always been in the too hard basket. Unfortunately we were left with a locked gate which meant we had to leave three behind as it was getting late in the day and we didn't have time to complete the 14km return walk from the potential parking spot.
We then were on the home stretch towards Mandurah where a cache Steve always had his eye on lives, the legendary "spider island", a lovely cache by "the explorer", love their hides. A nice walk exactly a kilometre from shore and a nice quick find once we got into the middle of the island.
I do recall having the mickey taken out of me for wearing "me swimming shoes", but only one of us was laughing when the other was complaining about stepping on and getting bitten by all these crabs in the area! Should bring a net back I think!!
Thanks to the local COs for an awesome day out. Only 20odd caches, not a huge day for numbers, but a good day for the stats. Thanks

Another great weekend in Bunbury caching, and running riot with friends and Family. Tftc,sl,tnln.
Great cache to do while camping at Belvidere. Interesting reading about the recent history of the area.
Not the type of cache we were expecting but an easy one to find all the same.
Excellent find! Took my parents geocacaching for the first time! Dad found it first! Didn't have a pen to write on the paper
Thanks for the hide rmj1. Fantastic name for this cache the tune is going around in my head now. Thanks for sharing this story with us.

Very easy to find as had already walked up and seen the information about "smoke on water"
Found with K.B. but forgot to log. A revisit to Bunbury has prompted me to make an effort to catch up on online logs. Thanks for the hide.
