Thanks for all sharing the day with me. Good to get the hundreds of emails with positive comments. FYI there have been some changes to the clues for several of the puzzles in the booklet so I suggest you check the geocaching site for the following puzzles No 1; No 9; No 16; No 17; No 32; and No 40. before attempting them. I have also changed the difficulty rating and hint for No 46 and 28 has had a letterbox removed (probably by *******'s over the weekend [:(!]) and will need some attention. Happy caching
Just thought that I would drop a few coins and TB's for a visit
BTW - Mr tmann421 here is your worm for being the early bird - LOL [:o)][B)]

Had a great time, enjoying myself without necessarily focusing on the FTFs - but the four we got were well-appreciated nonetheless! Cheers to bkj97 for organising this, as well as taybee for the caching team.
Cheers,
Vaudevillain.

Thanks for a great day out. Lunch was very nice and obviously lots of it! we found our first FTFs with Crystal Fairy which was a nice achievement for us.Thanks for the hard work organising so many caches too.
An excellent event - thank you so much. What an amazing amount of work to organise it all. Not only were we provided with a great range of caches, but well fed too. We've arrived home thoroughly satisfied with our team's efforts (ie: edvern, boogie-o & geodatum), and thoroughly exhausted after such a full-on day.
Awesome event, lots of cachers, lots of new caches, both today and in the next few weeks. Great organising and the day ran like a well oiled machine. thanks for all the time and effort that went into preparing the day.
Thank you very much for a very well organised event. We can only imagine how many hours have gone into this. Good to catch up with other cachers old and new. Roll on the next event. TFTC
A lot of time and effort has gone into this event and it is much appreciated. Great to catch up with and meet new cachers. An enjoyable day had. Many thanks.
Thanks John and Jenny for all your time and effort to put on such a superbly organised event. We had a wonderful day of geocaching and found ourselves in all sorts of interesting spots never before visited around the Kapiti area.
An awesome event, arrived home shattered. Thanks so much for an exceptionally well put together and successfully run day.
WOW, what a fantastic event !!! Great to meet some of the local cachers that we've followed around for so long
Thanks heaps John for organising such a great day.
Thanks heaps John for organising such a great day.
Great spread - both of new caches and on the afternoon tea table. Couldn't have picked a better option for my 1st event cache. Thanks for all your hard work.
Chirpy in the morning we arose and headed out to Paraparam. Met up with Buttels, Hangstrap and Maza904. Took our time to solve the puzzles on the site and get the token.. From there we picked clustered areas and headed out en mass. MyCroMan joined us for a few caches and then we split off from Hangstrap and Maza904. Four unexpected FTF's for the day..
A HUGE thanks goes to bkj97 for setting this event up. Having setup a number of events similar to this, we know the massive amount of time and energy required to make the caches, hide the caches, setup the documentation, print out and make answer sheets as well as solve and double solve all puzzles. No only did he do all that but he also made an awesome spag bol. We were really impressed with the turn out and the quality of the hides and caches..
So thanks again bkj97 for an event well done and hopefully other cachers will take the lead and setup events for everyone else to enjoy. Until you have setup one you really have no idea of the amount of time it takes and so we cannot say Thank You enough.. Brilliant work and Well done.
We had a great day out and have 60% of the caches left to find still over the next few months...

Had a great day out and all arrived home exhausted. Thanks for a great event and some great caches, particularly the chance to get some FTF's ahead of the "nocturnal" cachers.
Thanks very much bkj97 for a fantastic event, you must have spent hours setting this up. Also thanks to my two fellow cachers brucewwnz and SAROC for an enjoyable day and for 29 caches in less than 5 hours. Once again a big THANK YOU to bkj97
Thank you bkj97 for an awesome event. And also thanks to my (Lost and Loster) teammates, SAROC and skindo. It was a lot of fun.
I don't really know why I haven't cached in the Paraparaumu area before. I will have to return at least a couple more times to search for those caches we didn't get time to look for today.

Many thanks bkj97 for the hours of work that have gone into setting up the event. A huge undertaking, and we look forward to reacquainting ourselves with the Kapiti coast again to find the many remaining caches that we left untouched! A great day, and very well organised. It was also good to catch up with many other cachers - old and new.
Great fun and very well organised. Tons of work involved in finding good locations and researching history of the areas. Really appreciate your efforts and managed to get some *FTF* finds too. Thanks again - Regards Todd (tmann421)
Teamed up with top team of Richargr and Down Hill - my brains their beauty (??) no worries. Lots of FTF's as the orienteering skills and map reading came into play. Decided to bypass don't do this cache as thought bkj97's devious ways would deduct zillions of points... didn't need to worry as 9 FTF's nailed the podium. Thanks richargr for the coffee and down hill for the readings for the day. Thanks bkj97 for a knackering day.
John — A big, big thank you for all the work you have put into this. You've made a memorable day for a large group of cachers.
Huntleigh
A BIG thanks for the hours of work & expense gone into setting this event up for everyone.
We had a very enjoyable day, & learnt a lot from our first "event" day. The feed afterwards was a very generous & much needed re-fuel after a hard days "hunting". Thanks heaps.

Thanks very much for organising such a great event, and it was nice to come away with the prizes, if not quite the top score.
We managed to get 30 during the event and then headed back out to pick up a few others afterwards, having not cached here before there were plenty to choose from. We, like an earlier log, avoided “do not find this cache” for fear of negative points.
We’ll definitely have to come back in the near future to clean up the remaining 15 or so caches from the event that we are yet to find.

Well done, excellent event. Still plenty of the new caches to find, sometime soon. Weather held off for a really pleasant day with GIHB2000.
Congratulations to "Little Blue Hen", "Richargr" and team for so many first to finds.

This must be without doubt one of the most enjoyable days I have spent Geocaching since I started caching just over two years ago. Joined up with gonefishing, Yeetrees and agcnz for the day. Thanks very much to John and Jenny for all the effort they put into organizing such a wonderful event.
As always events are a great way to catch up with other cachers for a chat and exchange of ideas, and this one was no different.
Stayed on afterwards to grab some of the caches we didn’t get to during the day, I managed to get home just before pumpkin time. TFTC

Big thanks to John and Jenny for a superbly well-organised day - that must have taken untold hours of your time in placing all those caches and doing the organisation. Take a bow, folks, it was really appreciated! Was really great to team up with boxhill, -gonefishing- and yeetrees for cache-hunting for the day and also to continue well into the night for a post-event caching spree that finally netted us 46 out of the total of 50 caches placed. Met many cachers who had been only names to me and had some really interesting chats. One of the longest caching days I have spent for a while, and definitely one of the most enjoyable!
Enjoyable day out. Great to have a load of caches in the area to take the time and enjoy doing them without having to do the extra travel. Have to say that two of the bridges used in this event for caches had we not been asked to stop putting out caches in the area I had both already marked on my gps do the final drop for others to enjoy this area as well.
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
Thanks John (and Jenny) for an excellent event, superbly organised and catered. It was a fun day. Teamed up with Boxhill, Yeetrees and agcnz for a bit of daytime caching, but no caching day is ever complete without a few nocturnal caches as well, so we carried on after the event to collect a few more of the newly published caches (including some extra FTFs) for a nice total of 46 for the day.
It was great to see so many familiar cachers and also see heaps of the newer faces behind the names. Nice to finally meet SAROC and realise we knew each other many moons ago at uni.

Of course I was there - how else would the spag/bol have been ready ! Also made a significant number of caches with this one - 666 - how beastly - better move on and nab a few more caches
Attended with tmann421, Hugo the dog and all the other nutbars who spend their spare time finding plastic containers hidden under flax bushes! Excellent event, lots of fun and big thanks to bkj97 for all the effort.
# 309 T4TE. I had some fun and laughs. Nice putting names to faces. I learnt many tricks. I had a wonderful day out with my wife who introduced me to geocaching.
Thankyou John (and your supporters) for an absolutely awesome day. All credit for the time, effort and organisation you have put in for this day . For a new cacher it was great to be able to meet way more experienced bods and put faces to online identities. To my team mates (Skindo and Brucewwnz), CHEERS! it was a fast paced and energetic number of hours.

#1689. A great event. Huge organisation and an enjoyable day. Very much appreciate the months of work that has gone into this. Now we'll have a whole new collection of caches for future excursions. Many thanks.
This was a very well organized event, congratulations MUST definitely go th bkj97 for his great organising skills and the blue hen for her great support. Love this event, thanks to all the cachers that attended, that made it fun, also thank you for the prize that we got, finally got into our stride once the sun went down and managed to tidy up a few of the final caches, definitely looking forward to the next one where we will be better organized. TFTEC, picking up a few TB and GC to move on.
Fun day caching with Knight Teddy, and afterwards picked up a few with Horsediva and Skeeintnz
If anybody using a Garmin GPS that connects with the company's new chirp device would like to test-drive one, I'm happy to bring my as-yet-unwrapped chirp along.
All ready to go for tomorrow's event wet or fine. All caches will be published as the event kicks off by arrangement with the reviewer which means FTF's are available. Over 50 people have confirmed by email their attendance although some others are still trying to get their bearings.Email confirmation appreciated for food preparation for the spag/bol, salad and french bread afterwards. Brucewwnz is flying solo and would like pair up or join a team so if you can help drop him an email.
Sooooooo Sorry I wont be able to attend......chest infection etc Not a good idea to be out in weather all day..hopefully next time!!!!!!
Would you believe it, likely to be in Paraparaumu on the day before but as stated before not on the day! Maybe I could sneak around some of the likely hides and FTF some of them before publication
Hope the forecast southerly holds off long enough for you!

Thank you for the instruction memo. I've already logged on for the event earlier.
I hope to have one other person (a non-Cacher) with me so that is two for Arahura. We both have mobility injury - my wife is likely on crutches and I'm on a stick some days.
Boy you've sure put in a heap of work for this event, Which I'm sure won't be like my first event in New Plymouth about two years ago where the assembly point was in the middle of a lake.
Most of us who attended didn't even find or contact the organiser at that event.
Thanks

A change of plan means Boogie-O can now join in the fun, will probably tour with Edvern, Geodatum and Co.
have been looking forward to this since I was first told about it by my wellington family, so will be traveling up the line to attend with them
Now that we have sorted out our timetable for November we are pleased to say we will be attending. Looks like it will be a great event and we look forwrd to catching up with caching friends - old and new.
This sounds amazing -pity I live on the Mainland -would love to join you -currently have my brother from Waikanae here and introduced him to geocaching today - would an event like this be good for a beginner like him?
Love your artwork! I so wish I could join you all -hope you have a fantastic day! Well Done!

Newsletter for October now on the site. Less than a month to go. I suppose it means I'll have to put some caches in place.
September newsletter added to cache site. Those already entered should spread the word.
Awesome, good timing bkj97! This is the day after I arrive home from University. Will be good to revisit some fond memories....
This date is ringed on the calendar to keep it free - look forward to it, and expect there will be a group of us coming from Palmerton North.
All going well, we hope to attend. Won't no for sure till closer till the day though.
We certainly intend to be there. Good to see the evidence that geocaching is, in fact, much older than 10 years. We are obviously part of an ancient and noble pursuit! Thanks.
If posibble I would like to attend? If Numbers are full can you please let me know.
Number of reviewed caches now 50 and as they used to say in the cartoons "That's all Folks"
Need to increase your number of found caches ? If you are good there will be (at this stage) 47 new caches on the day.
Update on new caches that will be available on the day. Now 11 traditionals, 13 multis (usually quite short and close) and 6 puzzle caches that can be solved over coffee without internet access. If my maths is up to scratch that makes 30. Update 25th Another 7 traditionals awaiting review.

Update on reviewed or submitted caches for the event. 9 traditionals, 8 multis and 4 puzzles = 21 so far. More to come.
Yeha my first caching team event, looking forward to learning heaps, hopefully something doesn't get in the way in the meantime. thanks Taybee for the heads up or I wouldn't have found this.
