Cool pyramid in the middle of nowhere, thanks for bringing us here!#414 for us
Quick easy find opposite a magnificent pyramid, very impressive tftc to bring us here
WooHoo!!!Hv seen this pyramid from the highway many times. So good to get a bit of the background & a close up view. Very impressive. Thx for the cache. Thats 7 caches today & 2x TBs. Back to camp we go
A quick grab with mnance101 on our way home from camping at girraween castle rock. Stopped at ballandean for lunch and wine
With a DNF last time we were here, Bennyboppers and I decided to look for this cache. We had just spent the weekend camping and hiking with other geocaching friends at Girraween and were on our way home. A nice easy find today. TFTC!
Out with LadySim and Micjor and starting the long road home back to Brisbane. After having been in the area many times I had hears of this amazing place, but never managed to visit. Happy to have changed that today, and it was well worth the detour! Cache was a quick easy find and in very good condition. Took a travel bug to move on.
Spending the weekend in Tenterfield with a 4WDing group. Saturday we did a car rally from Fernvale to Tenterfield and today we are out n about exploring on our way home to Brisbane. I love seeing this pyramid here. Thanks for the hide.
Out doing a loop ride in the area. Diverted a little further south after a pub lunch nearby.
Quick stop in to take photos just to check the app and realise there was a cache here. After around 5 minutes the cache was in hand log signed and travel swapped out for another. TFTC.
Seen from the main road before but this was the first time up close! TFTC
What a great spot . Liked what they have done with the spare rocks. The existing logs were all full. Installed new log and zip tie bag. Tied all the old logs together and left them in the cache. AFP from us . We are glad we stopped in. Tftc
Came for a little detour to see the pyramid and thought lets see if theres some caches is around. TFTC
Such a brilliant cache. And absolutely worth the 1.7km detour off the highway! Thanks!! Returned as found.
We have spent the day canoeing on Storm King Dam and we are now heading home via Ballandean. Then Geohubby asked, are there any caches along Eukey Rd? Funny you should ask that, I said. Not on Eukey Rd but just off it!So we came, we found, we signed and we conquered! TFTC!!
Just enjoyed a most delicious white hot chocolate this afternoon and now making my way north to Stanthorpe.I researched this spot once back, and before logging my find (this site was not co-operating for quite some time) ... a very interesting story and great example of doing something "because you can".After admiring the structure, I strolled a little further away to find the cache.Signed log.Took nothing.Left a couple of fun little swag items.Returned to hiding spot.TFTC ... might not have come here otherwise.
Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and I’m taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there.
So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so it is time to start heading west and get in to Qld.
I have never been up this way before so it will be interesting to see what towns I come across in my travels.
So after Tenterfield I noticed this one on my map and was curious about the pyramid.
I soon realised that I had crossed the border and was now in another state as well.
A very interesting pyramid and how it came to be.
Thanks Team Robins TFTC.

Great spot to see a pyramid. Heading to Muswellbrook for the great Australian cattle dog muster. Tft
That pyramid is crazy! Love when there’s something of interest to check out nearby.

What a cool pyramid! Thanks for the cache! Log is quite full and could use replacing.
Wow! Honestly had no idea this pyramid was here. What a cool location and a nice cache!
I didn't meet snapper, but I do meet the owners of this cache every once in a while, so the FP on this log is for the CO.
Thank you for encouraging/ entertaining me with wonderful hides, as this one.
Sadly, Scott didn't join me on the journey today but I look forward to showing him the photo.

Perfect place for a cache wouldn’t know this thing was here otherwise. After looking under the most obvious rock I spotted the cache.

This weekend, an overnighter at Girraween National Park was planned with the aim to tackle Mount Norman. An early start on Saturday had me attend Warwick parkrun and visit Warwick, Leslie Dam, Stanthorpe, and then Girraweeen to walk to Underground Creek. On Sunday, it was a walk/hike through Girraween's south vicinity visiting Mount Norman, Castle Rock, and Turtle Rock, before venturing across the NSW border, and then heading northwards via Ballandean and Stanthorpe, detouring past the *Elementary* series and *Stan's Apple* series.
Today, I joined Beardman75, Davinells, and wayn0, and we spent the morning with a hike in the southern vicinity of Girraween National Park. A tough expedition to Mount Norman's geocache, and after taking a breather with the group and then saying farewell, I continued north via Castle Rock, The Sphinx, and Turtle Rock, thanking the car shuffle for only making my journey a one-way walk. It was then a southern drive towards Tenterfield for a few geocaches, before proceeding back north targeting geocaches with high Favourite Points, in particular the cluster around Fletcher. It was then a detour towards the *Elementary* series, and lastly, I took a few more stops west of Stanthorpe finding a few more of *Stan's Apple* geoart, and completing the [Stanthorpe Art and History](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/99df815e-d7c7-4bde-8575-b2c5ff71d8cc) Adventure Lab, before fatigue and daylight got the better of me, and I proceeded home.
This geocache had been on my priority/target list given the high Favourite Points (with it having 43 FPs as of the time of my visit).
Driving the parallel road to the highway, it was soon made apparent to why it was such a cool spot - that pyramid was totally unexpected! Perhaps having seen some of the Giraween pyramids from afar, it was also even more fitting for something like this to be here. After admiring that manmade work, my focus reverted back to the geocache, and it was quickly found at GZ. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Team Robins for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Out looking at the pyramid, had a quick look for the cache when we seen there was one right near the site.
A quick grab which was good as it was quite hot out today.

After summiting Mt Norman, I still had a few caches on the list to collect. It was a surprise to see the giant rock feature across the road from this cache, was not expecting that.

Had some time to kill between bookings so decided to call into the pyramid. Thought we’d check for a cache to find while we were at it and got this one nice and easy. TFTC!
This has to be seen to be believed. Incredible! So much larger than I had expected.
I spotted this popular cache over lunch at Brass Monkey, so we swung by on the way home to see what the fuss was. There had been a fire through here recently, but the cache was fine. The landmark here is amazing & we never would've seen it if not for the cache. Thanks so much for placing the cache & bringing us here!
Wow. Was not expecting that! Super cool. A grass fire has been along where the cache was hiding and I'm pleased to report that everything is in good condition. Logged as R1BG. TFTC
Another find on Peppa and PirateLinda's Brisbane to Stanthorpe Jaunt.
Amazing pile of rocks over the road.
Amazing pile of rocks over the road.
PirateLinda and I have come down for Beardman75’s Catch-up in Stanthorpe event tonight… Apparently people come here in the middle of winter… for fun… Being our only full day in town, it’s all about Girraween…
Having conquered Girraween, or at least some of it, a group of us are making our way back towards Stanthorpe…
What a totally unexpected feature to find in the middle of nowhere… and the cache description told us all the details we needed…
Tftc…??

After a very early start to the day yes 4 am on the second coldest day in the year. Willis007 and I left Brisbane and headed to Stanthorpe and Girraween for a walk and catchup with a few other crazy people. It got to -4 degrees at one point of the journey but that did not stop the enthusiasm of the group.
We finished our big trail walks and started to collect caches around the area. We headed south to a particular challenge cache for Willis007 and then we headed north back towards town, collecting more caches, timing it to finish before our dinner event at 5.30pm.
We bumped into Peppa and Pirate linda at this cache and suggested we cache together for a while. It was a fun little caching time. It was good for Willis and I, as we got to clean up a few more caches of Stanthorpe that we had missed on our last journey here.
This was an easy find, a quick sign of the log and cache replaced as found and we were on our way to the next one, thanks.

A great day out in Girraween National Park with chamad, Peppa, Pirate Linda and Beardman75. The main focus was to visit some of the waypoints for the earthcache in the area, and to attend the event in the evening.
Of course, there are always plenty of caches to visit while in the area, we made sure we made the most of the beautiful day.
A quick find at gz, thanks Team Robins for bringing us here.

Really cool seeing this pyramid which I've only heard about before. Thanks for the cache
The Kingdom of the Sun, The Old Kingdom of Djelibeybi.
At two miles wide and one hundred and fifty miles long this is a narrow country along the river Djel. It is almost completely submersed during the wet season. It is on the Klatchian coast of the Circle Sea. Djelibeybi has spent seven thousand years building pyramids for her monarchs, and has driven herself bankrupt. The two most recent monarchs have been more eager for international trading and technological advances like plumbing and bridges/viaducts, ideally with crenellations from which the formerly sacred river crocodiles may be shot at/have large stones dropped on them from a suitably great height. Pyramid-building has ceased, freeing the rich soil along the Djel for agricultural uses, which will probably boost the country's economy. After all, a lot of loose building stone is now available, most of it cut up into handy-to-use pre-squared blocks of masonry, so why waste it? Especially now it's going to be needed for all those bridges and aqueducts and things.

With a funeral to attend tomorrow, my wife and I travelled down from Brisbane to Stanthorpe a day early to do some sight seeing. I was actually down this way a week ago, over the Easter break, with Crookedpete and knew the local waterfalls were all in full flow after the recent rains. Undercliff Falls was the closest one to visit, with the added bonus of some unloved caches nearby, so we headed out that way on our way into town. Afterwards we looped around past Storm King Dam and called in to this one on the way back towards Stanthorpe.
Across the road at the pyramid there were a number of rows of chairs set up, presumably for an ANZAC day ceremony at some stage (not sure if it had been held or was still to be held at the time of our visit). No other cars around so I was able to search without fear of being spotted. Cache quickly located and dropped in some trackables after signing the logbook. TFTC

*Finally catching up with my back-logging*
My partner and I came down here yesterday for a valentines retreat. I've always been so fascinated with all the granite boulders. How amazing is this pyramid! I traded in and out some swag. We traded for a little green alien which was very fitting haha.

Well I've got to admit we didn't expect that! I want one of those in my back yard too.
