Found during nice afternoon walk from Eco Village to the border. Took me a while to locate the right stone. Even went over the 2nd wire fence, but then come back between the fences to the track and the right place. After a minutes I found the hiden treasure.
Want to follow the track, but it was overgrown so I decided to go back.

I used previous logs to find it as the GPS was sending me 20m away. Use the hint.
I do a class up here most Sunday’s and been meaning to come here for ages. Lovely peaceful walk up from the road. Plenty of parking about 170m away.

GPS was trying to send me 20m further south. After a long and fruitless search on the wrong side of a barbed wire fence I turned for home but then decided to look a bit more in a more logical place.
Found it after ten mins of looking
The GPS location and map is a little off but trust the hint! You gotta be on the NSW side of the fence. After being the first person to find it in over year it was pretty cool to see it well preserved, needs a new pen

The muggle man used to live in the area many moons ago so we're back visiting and exploring to see what's changed -- today he was going on about the "2 Pigabeen roads, 1 on each side of no-mans land"... He drove a big loop around the windy road through, down and up the valley and navigated us the end of pigabeen Rd on the Qld side, at which point I insisted we locate the gate and 4wd track I knew was nearby and go for a walk... I think finding that entry point probably took us longer than either the walk or the cache hunt, but I guess thats par for the course. Once we got to GZ it was all worth our while though. Thanks for the smiley to mark this spot on the geomap firstTimeCaller. A FP is issued in return by way of thanks.
Ok while on our walk to the Caleb cache I mentioned to Mr Rusty85 that there was another one nearby that needed to be found, his answer well we are wet so what. Hmmm after coffee with the other group we weren't wet but we went anyway. Great find. TFTC
You got the gist from DiamonJs log so a find was made much easier then we thought. TFTC
I was heading to the CITO event at Tweed Heads today and took a scan of GSAk looking for a few other interesting caches to fill in the afternoon. Before the challenge cache rules changed, I had considered creating a challenge based on caches placed on the border. So this cache had long been on my radar.
When I spotted than it was approaching three years without a find, it became my target cache for the afternoon. I chose the Qld approach and after finding a suitable parking spot, it was only a short walk to GZ. With thanks to the hint, I found the container quickly. Turns out there are a few names signed after the last finder to log the cache, but I suspect they are not cachers.
Glad to give this one some love today. Many thanks firstTimeCaller

I wasn't expecting to see many muggles here but I saw some at every stage of this journey!
I got to near the gate about 200m from GZ and there were a group of 10 people, kids and dogs enjoying a walk, so I drove up to the end of the road and admired the impressive view there for a while before returning. I returned to the parking spot and got out only to be barked at by a large dog on the road from a nearby property, luckily he didn't approach so I was able to crawl under the barbwire fence. I walked up the hill to GZ, I used the coordinates provided by Aussie Lahona which were pretty spot on for me - thank you. I retrieved the cache and as I was signing the logbook a man from the nearby property slowly drove his jeep past me (about 10m away on the other side of the fence). I wonder what he thought I was doing. Anyway I walked up the trail to the top of the hill and enjoyed the views and fantastic spot here. I'll have to check out whether I can walk more of the track in the future, that would be fun. On the way back to the car, a couple of people on trail bikes whizzed past me obliterating the peace. Oh well, it was eventful!
Fave point for the location!

While catching up on my logs i realised that a find today would take my caching streak to 125 days. Not really a milestone but it felt like one (every day that i keep it going now is a milestone) so i wanted to find a cache that is kind of special.
My finds over the streak have been equally found on both sides of this border so this one straddling both states looked just the ticket... and with almost a year without love this cache needed to be visited.
I checked the map and found, like many cachers before me, a road that took me quite close. I parked just west of gz on piggabeen road... don't know how i missed the gate that i see others utilised now that i am reading the logs... i followed my compass up a track till i got to about 20m and i realised that i needed to get on the bext track over... i sizes up the barbed wire fence and squeezed myself under. As i pushed myself to my feet a saw that my hand had disturbed an ants nest and the biggest ants ive ever seen came swarming out. I was quick but obviously one of them got in fast as my knuckle started throbbing something fierce.
Thats caching... buy the ticket, take the ride, as Hunter S. used to say.
My gps got me to about 4m (i only just now see corrected coords from other cachers but i didnt have an issue for some reason... dumb luck most likely) and found the cache in quick succession. Confusion reigned... which state am i in? I did some reading and realised that im most likely in neither haha oh.. theres the other fence over there.. cool to be in the famous no mans land between the tick proof fence.
Isaiah Rowland and Francis Roberts seemingly couldnt agree.
Cheers firsttimecaller for bringing me here today. Much enjoyed.

Looked for half an hour but couldn't find it anywhere. Very pretty spot and a lot of fun.
Out and about today for my daily cache.
I followed the road in, not too sure if it was going to go where I wanted to go because there was so many 'No Through Road' signs along the way.
Eventually I found a good spot to park that was close by, crossed the fence and made my way to GZ.
A short search and I found the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

After a great weekend on the coast I really wanted to get this cache before heading home. I had to drive south (even though home is north) and found a nice spot to park on the Qld side. I had no idea there even was a border trail. This is an awesome little area and one day want to walk it I think.
Anyway, I parked and scrambled over the fence then squeezed through the next one. Arrived at approximate gz (gps wouldn't settle at all) and found a spot with something white poking out...could it be.....No, someone's rubbish left behind!
I attempted to climb back out of that spot and realised I was surrounded by thorns - I have no idea how I got in without being attacked, but I certainly didn't get out painlessly.
Time to rethink....I sat down and re-read all the info....ahhh, now I know, or not. Half an hour later and I swear I flipped dug and checked every possible spot. I sat down AGAIN and re-read the logs.....oooh I wonder if I made the same mistake. Gps and water was put down and I started searching in a different area that the GPS had excluded. More spikes and thorns embedded into me and some really cool spiderwebs were found and then I spotted it....the cache!!!
Hooray, signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache and the awesome spot - thorns and all.

Beautiful cool rainforest. I parked at the round area on Piggabeen Rd Andrade the 150 m interstate walk to the cache. Gets a favorite point from me. TFTC.
Looked at this GZ a dozen times. GPS was having trouble deciding where to send us. Ok enough says I but let's check this again. Woo hoo found it!
I have passed here many times before. Each time has been on my bike and I have been busy pedalling like fury up the hill.
This used to be the part of the bike leg of the Anaconda race. It started on a farmon Currumbin Creek Road, headed up Bains Rd, straight across the road at the top and along the border track almost all the way to the Pacific Highway before riding through a tunnel under the road and finishing in Currumbin Waters at a school.
A nice quick find today with the help of the clue.

Geo Wife and I had today free so I plotted a route and some caches that would give a great day out.
I had checked out the map and I was sure we could drive to within a reasonable distance of GZ but when we were getting there we came to a dead end of private roads (or so it seemed).
After going down a private driveway (luckily no one was home) we spotted another road very close.
Upon investigation we found that there was a gate that had no visible signs of being private and it was unlocked.
We headed through and found that we were on the road we were searching for and the gate had been the only obstacle.
We drove along to a point where it seemed we could approach and were able to park off the road.
We checked out the possible approaches and I picked one which seemed find till we got to within 20 metres of GZ.
Oh rats wrong side of the fence!! We held the wires open for each other and soon were on the right side.
It didn't take too long to spot the hide and then we headed back the way, I believe, we were supposed to come up.
Thanks First Time Caller TFTC SL TNLN

Decided to go on a drive in an area South of the Gold Coast today, collecting mainly drive by type caches, with 3 of the kiddies on board. Grabbed quite a few finds for the day, and one DNF, but that happens. Good weather, good time driving around. We even grabbed three of those finds at night. Thanks to all cache owner for hiding and maintaining their caches. TFTC.

Awesome cache, great location, and a nice walk to GZ. Love these sub tropical rainforrest settings. Used the updated coords provided, and made a quick find. Fav point for the location and subject material. TFTC.

Oh the things that get discussed in a history buff's household... We've been researching the border fence and realized that some of the measurements we had found of the width of the buffer zone didn't correlate. To see if we could work which was was more correct we decided to head to our closest piece of the fence which of course just happened to be within striking distance of a cache.
On our way to GZ we found a clear space for our measurements, once taken it was off to search for the cache. Getting closer, the GPS wanted to take us closer to the NSW fence, actually it wanted to take us over the fence, so we headed back to the main track and now being on the right angle the container was soon spotted.
Logbook signed, cache returned, and as we walked back to the car we wondered if we were actually walking in Queensland or NSW? And for the record the section we measured is 63ft wide.
Thanks for the cache.

Goodness gracious, the only DNF and three of us looked for ages on the previous occasion, then this time only me,father ferg and I found it in half a minute, well at least we finally got a smily here.TFTC.first Time Caller.
The Captain of Terror and myself had been finding a few urban hides up the Coast a bit when he had started whinging about mozzies and rain and blah, blah, blah! So I suggested we go for a drive, that way we'd spend a little more time in the monster truck and not so much being made lunch and getting wet. The Captain was happy with my suggestion, so we headed down this way. We were headed for a cache that promised a remarkable drive, but the Captain noted this one was on the way, with only a slight detour.
We turned down the road and started the drive up the hill, a lovely scenic area to visit! We were close to the cache so I parked our vehicle in a safe spot and we jumped the fence. We travelled up the path between the rainforest and the neighbouring property until we had found GZ. Not sure where the Captain was headed but it gave me an opportunity to beat him to finding the cache Cache safe and well.

Well this is certainly not a place I'd have come to without this cache. Nyssaflutterby and I were headed this way to head across the border into Mexico and decided to make the detour down Piggabeen Rd. A fun road to travel down and a lovely area it heads into. Just after we'd passed the cache on the left there was a good parking spot and gate to get onto the crown land and follow the track up.
We threw shoes on and I grabbed my umbrella as it was still raining and we headed onwards and upwards for about 100m. I was surprised how good the quality the track is along here. Certainly felt familiar, following the border fence again. As always in this area, very green and naturally beautiful.
We got near GZ and I began following my GPS into the bush, but behind me, Nyssa spotted the beast. Ah.. that's a bit embarrassing, I'd walked right over it. As she pulled it out and I watched I noted I was standing in a giant ant nest, so we quickly moved away for the log signing ceremony. All in good condition here. Now just to slip back down the muddy track to the car. An excellent spot for a cache, I enjoyed this one. TFTC firstTimeCaller

I thought this would be a good place to put a little mountain bike TB that I had picked up. Only problem was that the neck of the cache was not wide enough for the wheels to fit in. This track would be perfect for MB riding. I'm not sure how long the track is bit interesting to be on walking the border. Thanks firstTimeCaller.
Had wanted to do this for quite a while and finally found the time to do the cache today. The clue made it a nice easy find.
Thanks
Thanks
Wasn't sure about this one given the cache description and the previous DNF. But fortune favours the brave! Found easy entrance point up Piggabeen road, crossed the gate then strolled up the 4WD track to the GZ. K spot the hint item and went straight to the cache! Bang! That easy! TFTC.
Hmm, wasn't sure how to get into this one and after being given the run around by the SatNav, Kaisho53, Bubbly_One and I had somewhere else to be. Not before we ended up in someone front yard with nowhere to go though...
We obviously missed the correct road in...

Thanks for the cache found it nice and easy but as we got the cache we found some ants on us but that didn't stop us.
Well we were right on the border - scary to think those Mexicans were only metres away from us! Pleasant walk and should have been much easier find. Look for the little ponies as you drive further down the hill. I think they're near the corner of Kyte Road and the main road down. Adorable. That's what makes caching such fun, the adventures and beautiful sights that can await you anywhere.
1st note: Geocachers - This cache is easily accessible and you can drive your car to within 200 metres and there's an easy walk up a track. Go get it!
Ha, ha. Hadn't read Fangsoki's log before now, but I see that Bristracker and Aussie Liahona agree with his co-ords. You will do better to look at S28 11.109 and E153 26.515. After stumbling through some undergrowth, trees and vines, trying to match up with the co-ords we finally came back out to better light, right by the track we'd walked up, and saw something likely, and yep, there was the cache. We positioned our gps over the cache location and by the time we'd both signed the log our gps's agreed on the reading above. Thanks for the cache firstTimeCaller. We enjoyed the walk to GZ.
Note: Along the road, just past GZ, you will find a gate and track up which you can walk with parking across the road.

I was in the area with Fangsoki heading for another cache on the border.... luckily this one was a lot easier than "The Cougals" that we were heading for.
The tree cover had the GPSR's jumping all over the place and also had decided to fall on top of the rock at the GZ.
Fangsoki came up with the find after removing some fallen braches... while I searched the totall wrong area.
Thanks for the cache firstTimeCaller.
While signing the log one of those pesky cache stalking ninjas hopped on in.
There was a note from a muggle in the cache. I will post a photo.

This poor old cache deserves more finds. Despite Radnoski and I not realising there was a gate down the bottom of the hill, we still arrived at GZ a-okay. We hunted for about 15 mintues looking in likely areas that matched the clue. Nada. Randoski attemped to get some hints off Mr Herbz but he was unavailable. I decided some of the areas at GZ had been affected by recent large branch fallings - so I excavated the area of the large branches and finally - a cache came to hand. It is in good condition. No more muggle signings. I found this area interesting - and do enjoy anything to do with the border. The tree cover was horrid for us - but I have attached the co-ords that worked for me. FTF (sort of). On a very wet Sat morning we spotted this one on Google maps. Not sure why we didn't get the normal email notification when it was first published, but seeing it was still unfound we headed off from Herbz HQ despite the terrible weather. Not really relishing the 1.5 hour walk in the rain, we decided to carry on along the road and park a bit closer. In fact we got much , much closer and in the end it was a quick walk and a nice easy find.
Hoping for a clean log we were initially alarmed to see someone else had signed it, but it was obviously a random muggle who found it and wrote a note saying "good game kids"!!!?. There was no stash note in the cache so the muggle probably had no idea what it was. We went back and put one in.
Well done FirstTimeCaller on your first hide. A nice location with some lovely views to be had on a good day. We enjoyed the hunt. Keep 'em coming we need more caches like this. Don't forget the stash note for your next cache. TFTC.
