I agree with Riddel. Over a year since last online visit to GC from owner, and they only found 11 caches. Must have left the game. Really not that many going spots, for it to have avoided the last few seekers.
This cache is bugging me.
The cache owner has been inactive since Sept 29, 2010.
Do we put it up for maintenance or can someone refind it?

Hmmm....even after reading all the logs and the hint we were unable to locate this elusive micro.
We found lots of bottles and leaf litter.
We also noticed that the bushes are being damaged in peoples search for this cache.
The poor bush next to the seat is copping a beating.
We would be interested to know if the cache is still there and will put a watch on it.
Also interested in knowing if the cache owner is still in the game or has abandoned it.

Only had 15 mins available to look. In between the layer of beer bottles, autumn leaves and fresh mulch in an urban park with people staring from most directions this was not a nice experience.
Found it on a chilly walk around town with some local friends. Log sheet was dry, but the plastic it was wrapped in was quite wet.
The water is ruining the log sheet. There's no message in the log sheet either that we could see.
Found in the company of PrincessDiala who had found this cache before. The container had taken in water which we emptied out, however maybe the location should be reconsidered? TFTC

Find #316.
Would have been foolish not to find a cache today?
After visiting my younger brother and his wife in hospital to celebrate the birth of their first child yesterday, I decided to make it even more happier and find a cache!
Visited the area to find a couple of kids going hell for leather after their footy, so a search was not as simple as would have liked, but the presence of my geoniors meant that I was able to send them in to make a relatively stealthy retrieval while I was wandering elsewhere.
Definitely not a 1 for terrain, as it's a fair way into the bushes, but a relatively simple find none the less.
Thanks for the cache and the diversion for the day.

Very first geocache ever. kids needed a bit of help to find it, but hopefully have got the hang of it for next time.
was sprinkling alittle when i arrived.
so the park was very quiet.
and easy grab.

[Another cache found on the way to the Leap Event nearby.
I had real troubles locating this one.
Unfortunately, I couldn't
I stabbed my way through the fallen leaves at the indicated GZ and event expanded my search to include near the path.
Cache found about 30 mins later] about one to two meters east of the bench.
[I am of average height, but I still needed to step into the garden as my reach wasn't long enough.
Thanks cachesearcher17 for this cache.
PS: I still don't understand about the 'magical letters'.

First 33 from the Woodlands 100 series, the rest on the way to 3rd Leap both in and around Fitzroy and Fairfield.

It took me two goes because my GPS was pointing to the roundabout side of the bench, and my first search was in the dark without torch (not ideal in hindsight). Also, I would not say the 5x10cm cache box is micro but perhaps that's a matter of opinion
Loved the park and although it is probably not "off leash" my hounds had a good time exploring the bushes with me.

Out to do a few caches before heading back to NZ tomorrow. Nice to be able to walk to a few parks close to where we are staying and track down some caches. TFTC
Set out to find a couple of caches near where my son lives. This was the first. Greetings from New Zealand. TFTC. - - Brought Australia trackable here from One T or Two.
Found after a quiet drink with friends in St Georges Rd. I can see why it frustrates people but I got lucky with a pretty quick find tonight, despite GPSr acting psychotic.
Needed a cache after birthday drinks around the corner at Monkey. Lots of leaves made my heart sink but luckily drjim7 had his finding eyes on tonight and we were soon signing the log without having trampled the garden.
Found on the re-return, TFTC! (20.52)

The kids and I were off to the zoo today and we needed to grab a cache on the way. This one was the closest so we soon had deviated to the nearby parking spot and we all jumped out. There were no muggles about so we had it easy to search, but we didn't need it. I was able to see something from the grass and once uncovered it revealed the little blighter. I can see how this one would be difficult to find, and how searching for it is going to destroy this garden bed, but I can say that it can be reached at a stretch from the grassed area so there is absolutley no need to enter the garden bed. Thanks cachesearcher17.
This one took some time to find and, while it filled in a gap day for me, I was still worried about the damage to the gardens.
This cache took Suscoe a while to locate today.
The damage to the plants is a bit sad, I hope it isnt cachers.
anyway after a few searches, the cache was located.
Signed and returned.
Thanks to cachesearcher17 for bringing us here.
Please try not to damage the plants when you search here.

Found it this afternoon on the way home from a business meeting. So was wearing my business stealth suit. Which made it easier to avoid the muggles coming from all directions. Old men with dogs, kids, ladies in cars, etc
I'd tried this one a couple of times already. And found it to be a "needle in a haystack" which isn't a lot of fun really.
Found it after using my iPad to decode the spoiler provided by Landau351.
Cache contents were totally wet.
While it's good to get this one off the list, and get me a step closer to 1000, I can't say that it was a favourite.
Thanks for the cache.

05/09/2011 23:34 It was with some trepidation that I returned here as it was the site of a DNF in June. I was having trouble getting the GPS down below 2-3m accuracy. Sadly 2 or 3m is quite a wide area for hide like this. I searched 'here and there' and finally returned to an area that I had searched before.

Nice little park, pity about the cache hide. A different hide could be a real winner.
I'm logging a DNF on this one as I didn't find it and don't intend to retry: it's a needle in a haystack situation (never my favourite) AND disturbing both the plants and the insects etc is IMHO too invasive. Never mind the constant parade of muggles ... at least they didn't seem interested in me.

Searched for a long while - lots of places it could hide, but area quite so was able to spend around 15 minutes looking. Nice little park.
Found on my second attempt. Finding a very small cache in such a position is difficult - but I got there this time. As other finders have mentioned, the co-ordinates are spot on, which helps.
Quick and easy find. There were some muggles around but the surrounding bushes managed to help conceal our activities. The contents was a it wet. After signing the log, I place the log sheet in a new zip log bag. I hope that will help keep it drier. Thanks for the cache.

A larger micro than I was expecting at this location. Good co-ordinates meant the location was easily searched and I spied a corner from the corner of my eye which led to the cache being found.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks cachesearcher for this location here today. Quite a pleasant location.

Forgot pen again. I think we should change our team name. This time the radar thing on my phone was right on the money.
02/06/2011 14:40 DNF: #483 This lunchtime I took the train to Clifton Hill station and then a nice easy walk to GZ where I was a little overwhelmed with the search location. 8m GPS accuracy meant that the entire garden bed was within the search grid so it was going to be very challenging. Looking all about and poking here and there whilst glancing over my shoulder meant that it was slow and difficult. With these caches you really need to be on top of it to locate it. The DNF means that I was unable to get it this time. - David
I was lucky today and found this in the second place I poked my head.
Thanks cachesearcher17 for the cache.

Found by Mary & David at 1600. The afternoon is getting chilly and the wind was tossing the autumn leaves everywhere. The coordinates proved to be spot on for us today, and we spotted a glimpse of the cache after only a short search. Our thanks to cachesearcher17.
Find # 1999 @ 14:52
Finally. I managed to spot a miniscule corner of the cache and the log was quickly signed. Thanks cachesearcher17.

Ok I can easily see why this comes up a fair bit as a DNF.
It could easily be a needle in a haystack.
Lucky for me the 3rd side I approached from I caught the cache out of the corner of my eye by luck.
The log is certainly wet.

Fourth today with team panamier. A bit soggy inside, but we turned the bag inside out and dried it as best we could before putting the log back in. TFTC!
As an aside, quite a few cachers have signed the log -- far more than the code letters which have been revealed so far. Is the maintainer still monitoring this cache?

Found a plastic container that could once have been a cache sitting on the bench. Perhaps owner could check it.
I have been meaning to come to this park for ages and today was the day.
I noted with dismay that there were rather a lot of bushes to search in.
However the coords were good and we had it in no time.
Thanks cachesearcher17

No. 12 of 12 found today on a caching expedition by bike with EuDes.
I'd unsuccessfully tried for this one previously, but today brought better luck. The cache was quite wet, so I dried it out as best I could before replacing it.

Taken Grant61 daughter with me, she received a bike for Christmas & she wanted to have a big ride while also completing a couple of caches. It was good to have her with me because I was looking for another type of cache & was about to give up. She found this cache & she was very happy about it, so she should, job well done. TFTC / TFTH / SL
This was the first cache of 20 for the day on what was a frustrating day of nano's with cryptic clues. this one took a bit of rummaging around before I finally laid hands on it. My thanks to cachesearcher17 for the cache.
Found with my good mate Marty (quasar3671) on another night caching run. Well this cache caused some pain. After making the find, began walking out to the car, and I tripped over a low lying chain fence around the park. Net result, fell flat on my face, cracked both the GPS and Torch on the ground, bruised my ribs with my elbows and ripped the little finger nail off my right hand. Not completely off, but it had to be reattached - pushed back into its socket on the finger - with the aid of a first aid kit. Anyway, fingernail is now 50-50 if it will survive, but i did get another find from it. TFTC.
Found while out on a night caching run through Melbourne with Blacklegend (Marshy). Parked across the road to GZ. Took a little bit of searching before Marshy located the cache. I was heading back to the car with Marshy putting the cache back when I heard an almighty thump and crack and yelps of pain. I turned around to see poor ol' Marshy lying flat on his stomach on the concrete path, arms tucked under his body and both feet hanging off the low chain fence that he had just tripped over. Needless to say the first aid kit came out, no bones were broken, the GPS was not damaged but a finger nail had to be sort of reattached to a finger, which was ewwww . .
Having dropped CrobDes off for a goils night out just around the corner, I was able to talk EuDes herself into a quick look for this one. I promised her that it would be 5 minutes at the most and even though I feared the worst, I found it in the first place I looked (after reading the hint I must admit ) at 19:45.
What a glorious little park this is on such a beautiful evening .
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks cachesearcher17.
PS: The insides of the cache are a little soggy but the press seal bag is still doing its job at least.

A few locals doing homestyle things today but they weren't interested in what we were doing. Robmc located the hide after we had circled the area a few times. TFTC
A quiet small park today. Took us a while to locate the cache, but it eventually stuck its head out of the leaves.
Container we wet inside, but the logbook was still dry.
Thanks, Robmc.

After a previous DNF I was pleased to be with Rabbitto today. Not that that helped here as we both searched those b.....y bushes to no avail. Finally a call to a friend narrowed down our search area and a find was made. Nice to have this one off the list.
I found this cache at 5.00pm as the 13th of 16 on an Inner Northern Subrurbs caching afternoon with Alansee. On caches like this, even a few metres out usually seems like a thousand and with the GZ seeming to indicate behind the bench, we were done for. Thankfully, some help was able to push us that valuable 4m in the right direction. Thanks from D B-A.
First cache of the day, and I thought it was going to be a bad start. I looked all around for some time without any luck. I went back to my car and read the cache page, so at least I now knew what to look for.
After a few more minutes, I found a container behind the seat that met the description of the cache. The log sheet was the back of a receipt with a message from a cacher frustrated that they couldn't find the real cache.
After a bit more of a search, I found the real one. Phew. I hate failing on the first search of the day. Nice little park. Thanks for the cache.

Went to GZ & saw so many bushes! Gave this one a miss as geohubby has bad hayfever!
Quick find while in this side of Melbourne. THe nearby school was finishing for the day so we had to make the signing and replacing quick. No swaps TFTC
Having read some of the previous logs, I was expecting a difficult search and possible DNF. However when I arrived at the cache vicinity I didn't have much time to search as a nesting magpie began swooping me. After about the third sweep I decided to leave this one until nesting season is over.
Out and about with 80degrees for the day.
This was our second attempt at this one. Not to hard this time but gloves would have been a good option to go through the mulch. Better to approach this one from the park side
No one about which surprised me considering it was such a lovely day.
Thanks for the cache.

Found at 2.00pm. Out with Xambo4u and as we couldn't find this the last time we all went out together decided to take another look at this one especially as Rogmantosh had confirmed it was still there. Took a few minutes before Xambo4u came up with the goods. TFTC
Another blue heading. I turned over a lot of mulch. The cache is probably well buried now!!
In memory of this special date, 10.10.10 decided to do a few caches while on my way to a Square Dance Party.
Spent a little time searching for this cache. I was about to leave when I noticed the cache container.
It was a lot easier than I was expecting with so many DNFs.
Will have to had this cache to to watch list to see to clue appear.

after a few did not finds and a talk to 80 degrees at the event yesterday. today i headed out with my cousin to check the status of this one and am pleased to say that it is still in the same location as when i found it on election day. if you need help with this one email me in advance an i can give you some information and if it still doesn't help a picture may be useful, if it's a still dnf then i will come out on a weekend as it is not far from my weekend home in melbourne.
good luck finding this one
