Out to Caboolture with MinkosDes and *SuzySquirrel* today to tick off some caches. A quick find in a break in the rain. Minkos and Suzy already had this one so I made the find. Cache was sitting out in the open with the lid also open all full of water. Lucky the log book is still dry however most other swaps etc we cleaned up and threw due to water damage. Also maintenance in the area with a fence surrounding GZ. I will log as needs maintenance just to put it offline for a bit untill the work is done. Perhaps a better hide, I covered as best as could however cache is still highly obvious...

Thanks everyone who has found this cache... We are amazed that this cache has lasted as long as it has & it would seem that the works in the area have finally taken hold.

Sadly we no longer live in Qld & are in no position to relocate it. We hope that some one else can place a cache to show others this hidden spot Smile

Found with a temperature of 47 degrees Sad. I had just finished my weekend away at Noosa enjoying my work Christmas party and found myself stuck in traffic. Having a friend up here I decided to call in. Little did I know this cache was only 160 metres from his house. So I battled the heat and found a great spot for a container. Signed my name then scooted back to the air conditioned car. Thanks JasenJanine

Logging this ages after the fact, as I had forgotten I did this one. Out house hunting and while waiting for the partner to go to the chemist the kids and I ducked off to find this cache. Didn't take us too long. It was quite nice, and I had no idea this area was even here, so thanks for showing us and bringing us here.

11-Nov-14
Quite easily visible... I did my best to hide it a little better.

Visiting from UK. Have been to Noosa to stay with my brother who came to Oz about 40 years ago. Travelling back to Brisbane to fly home in a couple of days. Had to stop off and see the glass house mountains which we remember from 28 years ago when the main road through was probably what is now the Steve Irwin Way. Seeing the sights and picking up a few caches. Nice easy find in this lovely little park. Amazed it hasn't been muggled, covered it well. TFTC

[green]Find #3133[/green]... Cool

A beautiful day to be out & about around this area whilst House Sitting in Caloundra... Decided to take in Steve Erwin Way and surrounds today...

Nice area too... As I approached GZ, I noticed a female muggle on her phone nearby... She seemed more preoccupied yelling at her boyfriend (?) and throwing a ball to her dog (at the same time)... Big Grin As she had her back to me & was far enough away, I snuck into GZ without being detected...

Found this well hidden cache, stamped log & replaced... Smile

Thanks for the cache jasenjanine (another of yours today) and for bringing me here... Big Grin

I was out on a very quick caching run of the Beerwah area to suss out the surrounding mountains as there are quite a few caches hiding up on top of them that I am dying to get.

This one was in that area of the Beerwah mountains so I thought it would be rude to not stop in for a visit. It was a very quite day and not a Muggle was in sight, which made locating the cache quite easy. Once I had the cache in hand I had a chance to explore what was inside and also retrieve the TB: 'Reflector' - http://coord.info/TB3MXJR which is no longer a reflector but now an elephant...

Thanks for the cache 'jasenjanine'. The cache is in perfect order.

After a day of rock climbing on Gnungun IolantheK and I went up to Beerwah to grab the caches that she hadn't found there [^]
Arrived at GZ under the gaze of the local boy on their bikes and wandered around till they moved off. It didn't take long till I spotted an unnatural collection of sticks [^]
The cache is dry and in good condition [^]

24-May-14
After spending the day on Ngungun doing some rock climbing, T-Tech and I went up to Beerwah to grab the 4 caches around the town. We had to outwait a few boys on their bikes and scooter for this one, and while we were waiting I worked out where GZ was, then took a seat nearby. When they realised we weren't leaving they decided to move along, so T-Tech went in for the grab. TFTC, jasenjanine.

02-Feb-14
Found with a group raid.

Cheers for this one.

Met a small group including Membsec, Team LJCC, Dahumbug and Mountainman82 to tackle some of the Glasshouse region.

Quick fly by to grab this cache but the ants had other ideas. We waited a little while for the ants to leave, but they actually started running up our feet first!

We took the cache outside of GZ to sign the log and then returned it back to its hiding place.

TFTC

Both of us joined Angela less Dave, (Terry) Membsec, Dahumbug and Mountainman82 for the day.

Quick stop for this one but ANTS!!! Once cleared, cache was signed. It was during this particulr procedure dahumbug appeared to be heard saying "Can you sign for me please, Darl?"

He maintains he said "Dale" - this is how rumours start Smile

The plan had been set to meet @ 7am and attack the mountain ranges in the glass house area trying to get to my 300th, Teamed up with Dahumbug, LJCC, Angela - Dave, Membsec for a days adventure. Quick pass by find on this one! Ants seemed to like that spot too! Tftc!

02-Feb-14
Easy find I wouldn't do this during the week with the works going on

02-Feb-14
Lots of ants on this one!

03-Jan-14
Considering the amount of works happening in this park i was quite surprised to see the cache intact although relatively in the middle of everything. Covered up well in its hide and must have disturbed an ants nest in the process, they were everywhere. Not nasty ones though. Tftc

27-Dec-13
We headed towards GZ and hoped the cache was still there as it had been a few months since the last logged find and there seemed to be a lot of garden works going on with most of the area fenced off. Sal and Number One Son (Golden Dire Wolf) ducked in and found the cache quickly while Anth kept watch for muggles. Thanks for the cache jasenjanine Smile

On a nice little roadtrip today from Brisbane to attend the 31 Days of Geocaching - The Last Day event at Ewan Maddock Park, with Ms Maddy and Whird.

Before heading for this one there was a nice little stop at a nearby cafe for coffee and drinks and food. Finding a park a little closer to the cache we took the short walk in and made the find without to much ado.

I am out and about with Swellerfungus, Pprime and the rest of the MEG 7 crew spending the day doing a selection of caches in the Glass House Mountains.

It's 7.30am, everyone has arrived at the bakery, introductions made and it is time to head off for #1. We've all parked in the carpark so we set off on a short stroll to GZ. Pprime had the honours of locating the cache, at 7.39am, a nice easy spot to find. I love the tree's branches all coming out from the base and spreading to look like a basket.

Thanks jasenjanine for the hide. We've got a few more of yours on our list today.

24-Aug-13
Found with the MEG #7 group on yet another gorgeous day. I am so excited about this day, looking forward to the adventures we are going to have but am also prepared to pike if it gets too hard.

A quick stroll across the road from the Bakery which was our morning meeting place.

Many keen eyes made this an easy find. Log book passed around and placed back in its hidey hole.

We all wondered back to bakery and teamed up in cars to head out for a full day.

Thanks for the hide jasenjanine

MEG#7: What is MEG? Amongst a few 2013 GEOGoals I've set myself, one I have dubbed Mission Empty Glass (MEG for short). This involves tackling all caches across an area I've defined loosely as 'The Glasshouse Mountains'. Every multi, every micro, every mystery, every mountain and everything in between. This, the seventh group outing, was focussed around the centre of the area and celebrates passing the halfway mark. For the traditional pre-start coffee the MEG contingent met up in Beerwah and the day got underway - Joining me today was the beautiful La Kedi in my car, Lady Sim and Swellerfungus, plus two part-muggle friends, Ruzzelz, Captain Terror, Whint, Bristracker, Crew153, Bulldozer71, Sweet'n'Sour, and NeverlostAU.

First up, a short walk across the road to grab this'n and a quick easy find was made to get our caching "eyes" on.

Thanks for placing this cache, jasenjanine. Found in good condition.

MEG#7 today with another fine group of cachers! It was great to catch up once again with some familiar faces and meet some new ones. I also had the pleasure of two muggle friends who just like climbing mountains!
This was the first cab off the rank today, and a quick find with so many eyes searching. Someone noted it was a JnJ cache....not one like I have ever seen! I sure the will be tougher ones...I can't wait.

Another MEG event with a bunch of cachers in the glasshouse area. Nice easy walk from the carpark after enjoying a bit breakfast from the nearby shops. With so many eyes it was a easy find and gentle way to start the day. TFTC

Arriving a few minutes after the rest of the 'mob' the rest of them were already over at GZ so I dashed over but the cache had already been replaced & here I was without my GPS as I had left it in the car... the others had a giggle and told me they would sit back and laugh at me while I looked... but bad luck for them I found it straight away... my cachie-sense must have been right on the money Razz

first cache for the day... off for a great day with the rest of the crew for MEG#7 Smile

Our home town of 14 years before moving to the coast, we still come back for doctors and hairdresser appointments; old habits die hard I guess. So between appointments my caching bug bit and I snuck over to the park where I've taken my kids to play as babies, watched fireworks at Xmas and panicked the kids dad when the flying fox split my daughters face open. Thought the cache might be missing, having not been found in a while but quickly found it in direct sight. Signed the log, covered it up as much as possible and bid Beerwah goodbye. TFTC and memories.

Out with Elise in Beerwah. We decided to stop off and grab this one. It was pretty wet and muddy, I got soggy shoes whilst Elise kept nice and dry in the car. As she is on rest from an operation, she is the nav-chicky and I am the retriever.

29-May-13
Out on a wet day with misssusan, we were in beerwah, so we thought we'd grab this one. As I'm recovering from an operation I can't really walk, I helped navigate and watch from the car, Susan made the retrieval, over to the car to sign.
