Nice easy find. White plastic container is a little fragile and would have limited life expectancy. Log is damp but still serviceable. Thanks for bringing us to this remote historical place. Tftc
Full time Nomads since March 2014, in WA to visit family.
Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash. Today we headed out of Kal to Kanowna and Bulong to find a few caches but alas we were low on fuel, so we could not attempt all the caches we wanted to. Lots of history out here!

Found during three weeks away with e.gregory1 on a trip along WA's Great Central Road and a caching circuit of the WA Goldfields. We travelled North on the Stuart Highway and out to Kings Canyon to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. From there we headed in a south-westerly direction along the Great Central Road with a number of detours along the way, including Surveyor Generals Corner and Empress Spring. Then it was down to Laverton and Leonora before turning South to Menzies and Kalgoorlie. A few days were spent on a circuit back up to Lake Carey and around to Queen Victoria Spring before returning to Kalgoorlie, then out to Coolgardie, Kambalda and Norseman, and heading for home along the Eyre Highway. The WA Goldfields is a fascinating region of incredible scenery and history that we experienced over a number of days while touring the area. Thanks for the cache Team Willows!
Found on another enjoyable trip with FeatherWaite over 3-weeks through South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. This time the plan was to head up to Kings Canyon, across to the WA border via Uluru and Kata-Tjuta, then down the Great Central Road, with a few side-trips along the way before eventually getting to the Goldfields and then home via Queen Victoria Springs and the Eyre Highway.
We had some mixed weather to start, with a few overnight showers initially, but mostly warm and sunny days. The nights were often cold though!
After refuelling and restocking in Kalgoorlie, we decided to do a quick circuit out to Lake Carey, then down to Queen Victoria Spring and then back to Kalgoorlie via the Trans Line Access Road in time for the event later in the week. It was ambitious, but we had the required permit to transit through the Cundeelee Reserve and managed to cover the 800 kilometres within the 3 days we’d allowed, finding all the caches along the way, including two first to finds.
Another quick find here.
Thanks Team Willows for the cache.

Made it to Kalgoorlie last night and a plan of attack was hatched to claim a smiliey at all the of caches here and nearby towns with Geotrakka, Team RedRoo and Beaker. Very happy to say that this was one of them.
Some logs signed as N2O.

Amazing place! Cache has been wet at some point but log book currently dry. Tftc amazing!
Cache is in a small round plastic container and has the early signs of UV damage as it is letting some moisture due to a crack. I have now placed with the crack facing down so it should keep dry.
Spent the day in Kal and headed towards Bulong to camp up for the night.
Another set of harrowing stories and loss at the turn of the19th century.
Team Willows, I found Bulong's Forgotten today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

With HTB2017. Tha graveyard covers a large area for only 95 burials. Wonder why the town had 2 burial sites.
Found this interesting link, listing who died and the "cause".

Travelling the back roads of Kalgoorlie with richlink, using geocaches as our guide. Lots of red tracks, corrugations and flies. We love wandering around these small ghost towns.
Thanks, Team Willows.
Thanks, Team Willows.
Cache is in a sad state and we had nothing with us to replace it! Lonely resting place! TFTC
pug002 found it 3/11/20 , think I put 3/10/20 on the log, new month takes a few days to adjust. So sad to read of the hardships of these people. TFTC Team Willows They are not forgotten they are resting with their Lord. All needs replacing, we did not have anymore containers with us
Found it but it needs maintenance. The lid of the container is missing and rain has destroyed some of the contents. Did manage to sign and noticed someone was here a week ago. No internet at this time to see if they tagged for maintenance but will check when back in range.
The Flintstones found it
Lets never forget the early pioneers who came through in the early days. Lovely quiet spot. Cache needs a bit of talc. TFTC

Nice little spot. Cache needs maintenance as container is broken & contents are wet. Unfortunately didn’t have a spare container on me at the time.
I took a run out to Bulong today to pick up the last of the GC's in the area. I found this one at 11:20 this morning. I was interested in the two separate setions of the cemetery, it looks like you have to keep the Micks and the Proddies separated, even in death. They're not all forgotten, obviously, (1st photo), some one has taken the trouble to upgrade a gravesite, perhaps a descendant? The container was laying right out in the open (2nd photo) and the container is very badly degraded. Definitely needs some TLC. Covered up and jammed it back in its outer cover. TNLNSL TFT Team Willows.
The container had degraded badly, is broken up and won't see out another winter. A new container required for this cache.
Found with Bacon Dolphin who smells unfresh. Took Indian, left die, bear and birds.
Found while on a short stop over in Kalgoorlie. Another quick find even though I may have approached from the wrong direction. Still I found it. The lid is badly cracked and can not be fitted backed on to the container, the content including the log are OK for now and the outer cover should afford it some protection. TFTC.
We headed back to Kalgoorlie for Christmas, and I wanted to make sure I grabbed a few caches, so we headed for Bulong.
A sombre reminder of how desolate this country must have been for those living and working out in the heat.

Team Willows, I found your cache Bulong's Forgotten on 24/12/16.

TFTC! Found during a 6-Day trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie, Esperance and back to Perth via many back roads and country towns. We found a huge number of caches, clocking up nearly 3000km for the entire trip.
The highlights of the trip have been picking up a bunch of old caches in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding towns, placed by some of Western Australia's first geocachers.
We ventured as far north as Leonora in search of our prizes even visiting a large number of ghost towns along the golden outback trail, some of the most amazing places I've seen in my life, see the pics if you want to know more.
During our trips out from Kal we think we visited nearly every gravesite or headstone in the region with the number of caches in and around cemeteries!
We completed a large amount of cache maintenance around the Kal area, with a large number of the older caches suffering with cracked lids, smashed containers, wet logs and alike. We planned to help about a dozen caches with new containers and ran out after the first couple of days. So if you're in the area please help out as best you can.
We also picked up a number of caches in Esperance placed by some of the newest cachers in the state, who seem to have so much passion and energy.
We ventured out to Cape Le Grande and picked up a few of the caches there, not quite being game enough to grab the views of hellfire cache but we grabbed all of the others we paid for our walking that night!
We even had time to place a couple of caches in my Country Cache series so please look out for them on your travels. Thanks to the locals who have kindly agreed to maintain them.
Thanks to all of the Cache owners for placing the caches that we found, hopefully you can place a few more for our next trip
Thanks
Not forgotten today, we were there finding the geocache! Had fun, nice walk around and a quick find in the obvious spot. The container lid is cracked and unfortunately I used my last 1L sistema container yesterday, so can the next finder please bring a new container.

Went on a trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie down to Esperance and then back to Perth. Spent 6 days finding, hiding and even maintaining caches along the way.
The majority of caches were found easily and in good condition even some archived ones.
Took a few travel bugs and placed along the way.

Very interesting spot. I have lived in kal for 12 years and have never been out here.
Another fascinating cemetry, was suprised how big it was. Cache all good. TFTC
Had a day touring and geocaching around the Kalgoorlie area with Happyjacks55 and found this cache. TFTC
As morbid as it sounds. I love cemeteries. I read all the names. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
We where amazed at the size of this cemetery. We find it interesting walking around these pioneer cemetery reading the tombs stones and trying to get some insight into the lives of these pioneers. TFTC
Thanks for the cache. We spent some time out exploring the area around Bulong. This cemetery was interesting we weren't expecting such a large cemetery. So many small graves of little babies, so sad.
Loved this cemetery, though a little freaked by a bone lying on one of the graves... TFTC
We tok the long way to get to this one but the camper made it through. We headed south from Hilda Jarvis and followed the tracks here. We took the nice well graded on our return trip. The cache was a quick find.

An abandoned township and two cemeteries. This looks to have been quite a big one. However by reading the gravestones it is not hard to see why a couple of cemeteries may have been required. Several died very young...to get to 45 seemed to be a big accomplishment. The only person we saw who lived a little longer was the local doctor and he died at 56 or 58 years old.
As mentioned in previous logs the cache container was perished beyond repair. We replaced it with another sistema albeit one that was slightly smaller. We managed to squeeze the contents into the new one though.
Thanks again Team Willows for bringing us to this area [^]

This cemetery looked like it only had a few graves in it judging by the scattered headstones. It wasn’t until we looked closer that we realised that there are literally dozens of unmarked ones [:o]. I wonder if there’s any record of who’s who in here?
The cache was a simple find and we simply signed the log without making any swaps. Thanks for showing us this place. Cheers .

Sad that many of the graves are unmark. Have to feel for the blokes digging the graves in the hard clay. Surprisingly spread out cemetary. TFTC. TNLN
What's beautiful place! The title of this one definitely fits. Thanks for taking us to an amazing place!
We do like checking out old pioneer cemeterys. So much history and a glimpse into the lives of our ancestors.
Perhaps a bit morbid, but I enjoy wandering around the Pioneer Cemeteries looking at the old headstones and wondering what life was like back then. Thanks for bringing us out for another look. TNLN TFTC
this was great cache been to bulong a few times didn,t know this place was here thank you left hair clip and sunnies
