Second time up with the infention of finding... first time phone died. This time... well snow was not ideal for searching. Hands were cold and we wil have to log a DNF. Sign is missing but post remains (kind of). Searching with the geokids.

Mr Morris slogged up the hill today to check on Bill and he has indeed gone missing - another ammo can goes into the never never. Unfortunately he forgot to take the spare container we had prepared and he is sooking about having to go up there again so we're gonna let this one go. Someone else can have the spot.

Thanks for all finds

Spent quite some time at GZ hunting for the cache. The hint didn't help. No luck today. But the walk up here was worth it for the amazing sunset!

23-Mar-19
Walked up here from Kalymna Falls Camping Ground! A strenuous walk at times.

23-Mar-19
Tftc - great spot and easy find

10-Mar-19
After a long day of walking, what better thing to do than to have a nice walk up to Mt William! We walked past the cache first and visited the summit before returning back to the GZ. It was a nice quick find in the clouds so the overall views were zero. Lovely spot (we guessed) and returned the cache. thanks,

Today we decided to drive and walk up Mount William. We enjoyed the lovely view up there. Stayed there just to sit and wonder. Great place to be. The four caches on the way up were found easily. Thanks for hiding!

This was the last day of our Grampians geocaching travels with 2beez. What a way to finish it!!!!!!!!
We said to 2beez "we have to go here, the views are fantastic." LeeLee had heard about the possibility of snow, then the visit became a must, so a 0700 alarm was set, it was locked in!

0730 we were ready to go. As we hopped in the car with a little bit of rain coming down, 2beez Ed says "isn't this fun?"

Thanks to the early start we were up on the mount before the rush. It started snowing as we left the car park. We knew the walk we were in for, as we have been here before. The change on the way up was awesome! The snow started to get thicker, the ice under foot and the constant snow falling was exciting.

We reached the top and found the view was not as advertised Wink, due to the fact we were in the clouds and snow, but that didn't matter, loved every step. Picked up the cache on the way back down. Great to see a nice size cache. Left a handful of swaps.

TFTC The Morris. We had a great experience getting this one today. A big FP from us. A truly great experience in the snow.

we have a maintenance plan - should be fixed in the next couple of weeks

01-Jul-18
--------

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###

----------

I've noticed this cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.

The guidelines indicated that regular visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.

**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by 22nd July,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?

You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:

- Repair and/or Replace your cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.

- If you don't plan on fixing it up then please [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (by 22nd July). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, it is likely that I will need to Archive it on the basis that it has been abandoned. Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the instructions posted above.

Nice easy find after a steady uphill walk to the top. The views are lovely. Log book needs replacing, is completely water logged, to the point where a pen won't write on it. TFTC

06-Jun-18
Easy find, loved the walk. Have placed a 'needs maintenance' as log is soaked. As such couldn't write in the log but here's the photo proof of me trying. TFTC

Log book very wet. But easy find after the haul up the hill. Tftc

Little evening walk up here the last couple just came down as we headed up so we enjoyed a lonely summit
The box itself has a wet logbook and the location seems to be used as toilet...

Well worth the effort. Log is saturated. Tftc it helps to make the climb even more fun

Nice little find in the snow! Kids loved it. Log book too wet to write on.

Struth big hill lol

07-Aug-17
Thx for cache. First time I have been snowed on. Wow.

06-Aug-17
Found with ixy2Sue, it was her 900th and we got frozen fingers making a "900" out of snow. But the phone was frozen too so it forgot to save the photos. Oh well, at least we have the memories of snow on Mt William and dodging the lumps of hard ice blowing off the towers.

06-Aug-17
I decided that I needed a memorable cache for my 900th find, so up Mt William we went. It was very fun to see the snow and the road that had become a river. Had to brave the snow to find the cache. Made a 900 out of snow on a rock and took three photos of me proudly pointing to the 900, but my phone's battery died, and unbeknownst to me, the pictures hadn't actually saved. It was later that evening that I discovered this, so no way were we going to slog up to Mt William again in the night for a photo shop repeat.

I will have to rely on my memory for my 900th find!!!

Up here with geogrrl and muggle wife so I called in to check on the cache on another snowy day like when I first found it. Got spotted and a call is that a geocache as I was signing my visit in the log book and shared the joy and geocaching stories on the way down with a cacher from the opposite side of Australia

The senior members of thecoxcrew had already been up Mt William once (one had actually done it twice!) This gave us a reason to head up there again, this time with the juniors in tow. Funny, we don't ever remember it being that steep!!! The views at the top are still worth it though. TNLNSL. TFTC The Morris.

06-Apr-17
Easy walk cause it's a road, but hard cause it's a steep uphill. Only 30 min to climb though. Easy find for my father's birthday! TFTC

Find # 4103
Found with Tyred n Cranky

A family day in the Grampians with a couple of small walks [xx(] (2 days later and my legs are still killing)
The original plan was to do MacKenzie Falls first then Mt William, but like most plans they change, and this one for the better. At the car park for Mt William the cloud cover came over and gave us a nice, shaded, walk/struggle up the hill.
Mr and Mrs Tyred n Cranky made the walk quicker than me and Mr Tyred n Cranky even came back down 300 odd meters for moral support. And boy did I need it. At GZ it was a breather while signing the cache. But no trip up here would be complete if you don't make it to the TOP, so up i went.

After taking in the views and a few snaps, it was then the enjoyable stroll back to the car.

Find No. 1633. Found with FUF009 at 2.50pm.

A trip to the Grampians to have a look around. Plans for the day were to do McKenzie Falls and Mount William. After lunch and seeing how we were out that way it was Mount William first. Parked the car and up we walked. Up and up and up and up. Finally we got to the top. The views were fantastic and even better - there was a cache to be got. Last time we were over here we could not go to the top as we had Penny with us and dogs are not allowed beyond the carpark.

A quick easy find and so glad it wasn't a nano.

A great walk after the recent rains. There was water flowing everywhere! Across the road, out of cracks in the cliff walls and down the gutters. The day was fine and only a little windy so we had excellent views when we reached the top.

Cheers The Morris, thanks for the fun.

18-Aug-16
Forgot to get the cache after walking 200 meters down. At 6 pm there are no muggles around. 65kph winds up here at the moment. Now to walk down 1.8 k. Cheers from Barra

In the Grampians camping with hubby, the geokids and friends for the long weekend. I had planned this hike before leaving Ballarat and this morning our friends weren't keen on a hike, neither were our kids! So hubby and I left them back at camp and headed for here. It was cold, foggy, wet and rainy but I said "let's give it a go". I'm so pleased the kids didn't come as we would never have made it to the top but slow and surely I huffed and puffed my way up with a very patient hubby. What a massive sense of achievement. I was so proud! An easy find too! Unfortunately the fog didn't clear much so the views though lovely were a bit hindered. We then wandered back down where it hailed on the way! Lol. Adding lots of pics and a fav point too! Many thanks Smile

A stunning hike up sheep hills track to my William summit on a stunning Autumn day. I decided to check if any geocaches available once back in reception,to find the easily accessible cache. Well hidden and in good condition. Thanks for this sweet gem.

Amazing views from up here loved the walk. Best cache of the weekend. Cache was very well concealed. Now to trek back down and hope the knees don't complain too much. TFTC

06-Apr-16
Whew! What a walk up! Managed to get a time between the clouds covering the mountain for a great view.
Signed the damp log and returned. Cache was more behind than in front of the rock. Jumbled the Rubics Cube then made it into a checkered pattern. Cheers!

02-Apr-16
I'm glad Bill's view was revived and that he takes on the sub-alpine winds here without a murmur. Nice find Smile

Walked up to Mount William to watch the sunset, grabbed this cache on the way up. After completing Boronia Peak, McKenzie Falls and the Pinnacle today our legs were groaning a little going up the hill bit at least it was a road, no steps!! Thanks to the cacher who left the Paw Paw, my most used item!! Left a mini rubicks cube and another bouncy ball in its place Smile Thanks for the find

14-Mar-16
Steep walk up, pity about the cloud cover. Swapped a bouncy ball for some paw paw. Lol

30-Dec-15
The actual finding of the cache was easy, the hike was not. Very hot day, and for the initial steep part of the hike there was no wind and too many flies. It did get better near the top with a nice breeze which made up for the lack of shade.
Still, great views at the top. A bit hazy with the heat, but using the PeakFinder app on my phone checked how far I could see from up there - pretty sure I could see Mt Warrnambool on the horizon to the south - over 110km away.

06-Dec-15
great walk! finding this was fun now got to go get some ice cold beers

02-Nov-15
The walk from the gate seemed longer than I remembered from last time we were here, but we slogged our way up the hill with LinearZZ and Riddell, occasionally stopping when a break in the cloud/fog gave us a brief view to remind us of the spectacular countryside.
TNLN
thanks The Morris

As we left Robyn's View, the long uphill slog was ahead of us with legs still recovering from the steeper climb up to the Goroka Lookout the day before. But this was relentless and though appreciating the flowering shrubs to either side, it took the team 45 minutes to reach the cache at 11:05. At least we were not distracted by views obscured by the rolling mist. TFTC

Down visiting the inlaws again and of course this means a day out for me in the Grampians! Morning started off a bit frosty and windy but despite clouds all day weather was fine for the morning and early arvo.

Started iff this hike at 830am. Frosty but no snow to be seen - or view! All cloud and mist. Brrr it was a cold morning. Fantastic spot for a cache, thanks for bringing me here!

Geohubby and I are staying in Halls Gap for a few weeks and doing some hiking and finding some caches while enjoying the beautiful natural environment.

On the brightest and sunniest day we have experienced since arriving in Halls Gap we decided that a walk to the top of Mt William would be a good idea.

The views from the car on the way to the car park and the views while walking to the top were absolutely stunning today. There was ice covering the puddles on the side of the road and a little snow lying around at the very top.

We signed the log and replaced the cache....all in good condition.

Many thanks for another excellent hide at a great location The Morris [^][^][^]
