Took a new geocaching friend out for a bit of an adventure yesterday. Would've been much nicer on a cooler day but still such a nice area and a nice walk that I haven't attempted before. TFTC Easiest find of the bunch, nice to have a rest in the shade for a minute. We were a bit confused as to which track we should take from here, but we decided to cut through the bush and come back and properly finish the bushwalking track another time, was a bit too hot to be pleasant. Thanks!!
Nice quick easy find, once eyes looked slightly higher. TFTC.
Unfortunately somehow walked past Number 3, did not have a torch anyway. Will have come back to complete the series.
log is completely full for this one and number 2.

Unfortunately, I was walking the wrong tracks today to complete the series. But had fun finding this one. Thanks.
This was the last one for us on this first loop on today's bushwalk - the others in the series would have to wait until later. A quick find at 11:35 and we were off to enjoy the walking.
TNLNSL noted clue and our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks the old blokes.

Next found was #4 at 11:35. Then ensued a discussion as to whether a cross country bash would get us to #5 as it seemed to be as close as it could be on this track. But we were here for views so we determined to complete the southern loop. Thanks TOBs
Unfortunately it was time to leave Wedderburn and head back home but not before picking up some more quality caches in the company of TR! in and around Kooyoora State Park. We drove to the ones we could then enjoyed the hike to the others on this beautiful sunny day, collecting the information for the final.
**Thanks to the old blokes for placing a series in such a great location.**

After grabbing coffee in town this morning, it was time to hit the trail and grab some caches on the way home.
This was the first of the day, following TheTritonz today, we decided a nearby series was where we were headed before making the trip home.
Thanks for bringing us to this location.

Found with itsahoughthing. I'd somehow forgotten to log the few caches in this series so please excuse the generic logs. Thanks for the cache.
Weather and tired kids means we won't be able to finish all these today but having fun[(:]
My family (becca85, neisha07 & boo09) met up with family friends the ReganSeekers family to check out some caches around Melville Caves. We had a great time exploring! TFTC
Backlogging... School Holidays are upon us and no work for Mum & Dad today we (neisha07, chan02 & becca85) teamed up with ReganSeekers for a Picnic & Geocaching daytrip to the caves.

Found this one while completing The Old Blokes Track but I see I hadn't log it yet . Sorry for the late log . Thanks .
Found at 3.15pm, we had to wait whilst a group went past to find this one, only a short walk back to our camp.
We will finish off this great series over the rest of the weekend - time for a cuppa

Thanks

Had an enjoyable afternoon trek through the bush completing this series. Thanks for setting them up!
Oh dear !! I think I might be over-qualified for this cache series [:o]
Sure I'm olde, by teenage standards, but I haven't used a walking frame for years.
The pushbike is a 'riding frame', but doesn't count here as I did not ride the trail
So how could I lower my abilities to fit in with the Old Bloke's Track standards ?
No walking frame, no trekking poles !! [:o]
Not even a limp !!
My left knee gave me a twinge at a spot half way to this cache .... so there was hope
I know !!
I'll grab the next sturdy branch I see and use that as a walking stick, just like all the Swiss mountaineers did
Oh hang on, they were really fit buggers weren't they
I give up, I will just enjoy the series of caches and worry about my lack of un-fitness back at camp tonight over a couple of dozen beers
TFTC.

Pulling up the rear the kids cound the cache, made their swaps and were ready to continue on as we chugged up the hill.
A evening walk after setting up camp and before dark brought me to this cache. I intend doing the series but darkness will beat me tonight. SL TFTC
Sully1 and I did these in a little different order than what it was supposed to be done, but we did the lot anyway.
This was the first of the walks in the rain to find one of these popular containers, thanks again TOB

Found with Bogonghazy today in the cold and drizzling rain. We didn't come across too many muggles up around here today. Unless you're a crazy cacher, most people would be home in front of a fire. Thanks to the old blokes for this series, the walk and the cache.
Found on a family caching trip with the family to Melville Caves. We had a great time caching in the area over 2 days. This was a nice easy find on the trail. Thanks to The Old Blokes.
While camping here it was nice to go and get some caches. This was a nice quick find with Fergzter. TFTC.
With a lovely morning and the end of holidays rapidly approaching, myself, the Charm Quark and the Cache Monkey decided to do the Old Blokes Track.
The coordinates were spot on with this cache and the GPSr decided to play ball, unlike its antics at #3.
We decided to have a look at McLeod lookout beyong this cache but after a 200m or so walk pulled out. The 3yo boss was getting tired (must have been all that playing on the rocks earlier) and plus the wind had put a fair bit of timber across the track. So we will come back another day for this one.
Anyhow, a quick grab, TFTC

Another one in the series found while out hiking with friends. Thanks Old Blokes for these caches
Thanks the old blokes
we did enjoy them just forgot to record all of the numbers and stored the rest in the GPS and then couldn't remember how to retrieve.
must be old age!!
oh well an excuse to return one day although a bit of a drive from Adelaide.

When I heard that my husband's amateur radio club was having a setup at Melville Caves for the John Moyle Field Day contest, I took the opportunity to try and get a few of the caches available in the area.
My 8 & 7 year old girls have been little troopers as we trekked through the bush for about 3 hours this afternoon finding this series and others along the way and hadn't really complained that much. I'm just thankful that I had the hindsight to leave my 5 year old boy behind with Dad instead of tagging along too!! Great excuse to get out of the house and enjoy the amazing scenery of an area that we will definitely be coming back to explore at a later time.
This one was a quick find and as was the case with most of the caches we found today, my 7 year found this one and had no qualms about reaching in for this one. I should have taken notes but I always seem to forget though we did remember to jot down all the numbers as we went along for the final one in this series so I honestly can't remember what we took though we did leave our usual swag of a small butterfly bag with butterfly charm and colourful button.
Thanks for the series and caches!

Was happy to reach the halfway mark, enjoying the walk but it is a bit too hot. TFTC
Nice place for a hide.
Found while camping nearby with Port 63.
Bit of a hot day though

Find #42
Found with FUF009 at 4.12pm
After todays efforts and walk, we could not leave the caves area without doing three of these seeing how they were close to the road and on the way down. As we ran out of time it will be another day's visit to the caves to finish off this series.
Took Large plastic man
Left Australia shape keyring with koalas on it

I turned right after finding this cache, if you're in the area and trying to clear out every cache, go up to the lookout and grab the Triple R clues before visiting this cache.

After doing orienteering in the area, decided it was about time to find some more caches and this series looked like a good one.

Our non-caching friend 'The Metro Man' (I am sure we have 'converted' him to Geocaching) quickly found this - he's a natural at this Sport I reckon, we (Dylan 7a and The Morphoist) then signed the log and instead of heading toward number 5 went further along the track heading off to the right to be greeted with another fantastic view. After this pleasant 'distraction' it was back along the track for number five. Thank you to 'the old blokes' for the cache and its location. TNLN.
Find #385 on 13/06/11 while out geocaching and enjoying the sunshine with Emma's JAM.

Found it but there are heaps of spiders out here so watch out Jazza found it and we put something back in.
Arrived, set up camp and dashed out for our first find on the Old Blokes Track at 3.05 pm. Good, we thought. Really? Turned into a pair of newbies, blundering around unprepared, Wait 'till you see the other logs. Meantime, TNLNSL TFTC

At the top of the hill now and 50% of the answers in hand. At this stage we decided to adjorn to tackle a derringer cache. What a great way to punctuate a walk (some people would vote for golf) in such wonderful bushland.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt The Old Blokes.

Another figure added towards the final destination. Cachehounds havng a ball in the cool weather, and not another person to be seen! Signed log, left a little secretary doll. TFTC.
At this point we yelled out to Mr Morris who was home tending the fire supposedly 50m away. he didn't hear us so we kept going. Whinging is now more of a sullen silence.
Just a short trip down a track I need to do later, had this cache in hand.
Clues collected, book signed and we were off again.
(I think I saw Penny look wistfully at the 50m to campground sign )
Thanks, Robmc.

9th find of the day, and 2739th total find at 15:18.
We're spending the weekend caching with The Morris and RobMc and thoroughly enjoyed the exercise of the circuit walk, and traipsing through huge spider webs.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks the old blokes for the cache

Number 4 found. Glad by this point I didn't bring the rest of the family, the little ones would have been moaning...

This was the first of our old blokes caches today. Rain was pelting down and Stinga4 and I were doubting our sanity. TNLN. Thanks for the hide.

Number 4 for me. I did the series in order and was appreciating the good hides and consistently good coordinates.
Getting slippery on the track up here, and attacked by feral mozzies at GZ - lucky CooPzZ came prepared with the Aeroguard.
Making good progress. Great day for a walk in the bush. Lots of wild flowers (and mozzies).
