Took a new geocaching friend out for a bit of an adventure yesterday. Would've been much nicer on a cooler day but still such a nice area and a nice walk that I haven't attempted before. TFTC Nice easy find, we weren't sure we were in the right place, we thought maybe there was a track nearby as opposed to walking down the road, but it was nice to be out in the open again, lots of lizards! (Hopefully not too many snakes lurking nearby) Thanks!
Leaving #6 we were back on the road and uphill we wearily went. Then a bit of scrub bashing and we had #5 in hand at15:25 with the all important clue. Finally with the easting settled the mystery cache GZ was resolved and off we trudged. Thanks TOBs
It was about this time that we thought the cars might be a better option [8)] but nevertheless, we trudged up the hill to grab the final clue, which we did upon finding the cache at 15:25.
TNLNSL noted clue. Thanks the old blokes.

Unfortunately it was time to leave Wedderburn and head back home but not before picking up some more quality caches in the company of TR! in and around Kooyoora State Park. We drove to the ones we could then enjoyed the hike to the others on this beautiful sunny day, collecting the information for the final.
**Thanks to the old blokes for placing a series in such a great location.**

After grabbing coffee in town this morning, it was time to hit the trail and grab some caches on the way home.
This was the first of the day, following TheTritonz today, we decided a nearby series was where we were headed before making the trip home.
Thanks for bringing us to this location.

Thank you the old blokes for this cache.

Found with itsahoughthing. I'd somehow forgotten to log the few caches in this series so please excuse the generic logs. Thanks for the cache.
My family (becca85, neisha07 & boo09) met up with family friends the ReganSeekers family to check out some caches around Melville Caves. We had a great time exploring! TFTC
Backlogging... School Holidays are upon us and no work for Mum & Dad today we (neisha07, chan02 & becca85) teamed up with ReganSeekers for a Picnic & Geocaching daytrip to the caves.

I thought I give this series a shot on the way back from the Wedderburn Event , it's placed by the old blokes so there will be some twist to it . Thanks .
Found at 7.30pm. Decided for a little walk in the dark to find the last caches in this series.
A lovely quiet evening.

Had an enjoyable afternoon trek through the bush completing this series. Thanks for setting them up!
Ok !! I think you succeeded
I was definitely out of me armchair now
Where did the trail go though ?
I left the campgrounds and could not find the trail [:o]
I wandered along the road instead, which conveniently led me close to GZ
And so another one of the OBT was conquered and logbook signed [^]
Hey I'm enjoying this !!
Not bad for an olde fella

The last one, not done in any particular order and probably covered more ground than necessary, but had fun. Now to the final SL TFTC
This was the second of the series for Sully1 and I here today, and a quick search was all that was needed for this one. Getting more clues for the final. Thanks again TOB for another in this series. Loving the walks in the rain.
Found with Bogonghazy today in the cold and drizzling rain. We didn't come across too many muggles up around here today. Unless you're a crazy cacher, most people would be home in front of a fire. Thanks to the old blokes for this series, the walk and the cache.
Found on a family caching trip with the family to Melville Caves. We had a great time caching in the area over 2 days. This was the last find of the day. Our thanks to the old blokes.
While camping here it was nice to go and get some caches. This was a nice quick find with Fergzter and the last one for the day. TFTC.
With a lovely morning and the end of holidays rapidly approaching, myself, the Charm Quark and the Cache Monkey decided to do the Old Blokes Track.
Hahahaha, I just read Geobutterfly79's log and note that this is where the Cache Monkey also began her whining too. Are you sure the Old Blokes haven't hidden something in the bush that messes with the minds of little ones?
Anyway, a wallaby nearby soon placated the Cache Monkey as she asked me "Where is it going?". She didn't believe me when I said that it was going caching, going shopping or going to the pokies. She settled for 'looking for some water to drink'.
An easy enough grab with a now well behaved GPS.

The last of the old blokes track caches for me, as I need to get on the road to South Australia.
I had a fantastic time in the Malville Caves area. TFTC

When I heard that my husband's amateur radio club was having a setup at Melville Caves for the John Moyle Field Day contest, I took the opportunity to try and get a few of the caches available in the area.
My 8 & 7 year old girls have been little troopers as we trekked through the bush for about 3 hours this afternoon finding this series and others along the way and hadn't really complained that much. I'm just thankful that I had the hindsight to leave my 5 year old boy behind with Dad instead of tagging along too!! Great excuse to get out of the house and enjoy the amazing scenery of an area that we will definitely be coming back to explore at a later time.
Getting to this one was where everything finally hit meltdown stage. After we had logged #4 of the series, I decided to read my GPS the wrong way and we proceeded to walk an extra 800 or so metres in the opposite direction. I kept thinking to myself that it was a mighty long 400 metre trek so thought I should probably check my bearings and I'm assuming that I had had suffered some sort of bush fever to have completely taken off on a Sunday stroll to nowhere! Anyways, after a sit down to cool off all our tempers and a big drink of water, we then walked back to #4 and took the right track to lead us back onto the road and thats where the whining began and continued for the rest of the way until we had completed the entire series and then all the way back up the hill to the campground! It was a long last half hour or so, let me tell you!
Anyway, getting back to the cache at hand we did a quick step and a jump off into the bush and grabbed #5. As was the case with most of the caches we found today, my 7 year found this one. I should have taken notes but I always seem to forget though we did remember to jot down all the numbers as we went along for the final one in this series so I honestly can't remember what we took though we did leave our usual swag of a small butterfly bag with butterfly charm and colourful button.
Thanks for the series and caches!

Reached the road and were looking for the track continuing across the road, with no luck, so we headed back down the hill alongside the road. I am glad the series went anticlockwise because it wouldn't have been much fun walking up this steep hill. TFTC
A nice little diversion into the bush for this one. Cicadas rule; not much else moving.
Nice hide.
Found with Port63 while camping nearby for the weekend.
As we are new to Geocaching, we are really enjoying the thrill of finding such hides as yours. Thanks alot for the enjoyment.
Although it was hot today and we have walked quite a distance, the walk was certainly worthwhile. I am happy, as I have had a heal spur for almost 11 months and having walked this distance today, I can definately feel that it is healing.

Find #43
Found with FUF009 at 4.20pm
After todays efforts and walk, we could not leave the caves area without doing three of these seeing how they were close to the road and on the way down. As we ran out of time it will be another day's visit to the caves to finish off this series.
Took Toy Lipstick
Left Shark

I wasn't sure where the track ran to after number 4, so I did a bit of tree and rock hopping to shortcut to this cache.

After doing orienteering in the area, decided it was about time to find some more caches and this series looked like a good one.

Bush bashed to get this one - there is probably an easier pathway but why do it easy when we can do it hard? Lots of Spider webs but no Spiders - they were in other parts of the State Park sunning themselves I reckon, which meant we had the cache location to ourselves! Onto number six. With Dylan 7a and The Morphoist. TNLN.
Find #386 on 13/06/11 while out geocaching with Emma's JAM and enjoying a bit of Winter sunshine.

Just like yesterday, our Dakota seemed to lead us on a merry dance, or maybe we weren't believing it. Whatever, we did find #5 eventually and felt quite foolish, muttering things like "after all this time, you'ld think we could do better" and "how does anybody find 1,000, never mind 10,000". Our second for the morning, as we march up the hill! Decided to do this series in reverse . What a great way to punctuate a walk (some people would vote for golf) in such wonderful bushland.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt The Old Blokes.

Cruising along, still enjoying the peace and quiet. Trying to avoid breaking spiders webs as we approached. Cachehounds slowing down a bit by now, but still fun, - a great walk for them. Signed log and left a tiger.
Much happier on the road - no spiders or sharp sticks. If you stand back a little - other people will clear the spiders for you. If you're nice you tell them they are about to walk into a web. If you're not then..... its more entertaining.
It was a pity that the circuit had to hit the road at this point, fortunately, there was no traffic at this time.
We walked down until GZ was on our right then braved the spider webs. There must be heaps of food around, as there were stacks of spiders with amazing webs.
Saw many close up (a little closer than most of us would prefer!)
Thanks, Robmc.

10th find of the day, and 2740th total find at 15:27.
We're spending the weekend caching with The Morris and RobMc and thoroughly enjoyed the exercise of the circuit walk, and traipsing through huge spider webs.
Sorry the logs are so repetitive, we spent a lot of time chatting and admiring the scenery on the way around.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks the old blokes for the cache

Still going, getting warm. I'm a bit slow, wondering if they'll send out a search party for me soon!

Second of our old blokes caches today in the rain. Why are we here Stinga4? Great fun. TNLN. Thanks for the search.
Saw some Kangaroos here and found 2 of team corns stickers that they mustve dropped earlier in the day.
Good find Not much to say

I got a little bamboozled here with the (no)track but soon sorted it out. At GZ I relied on the coordinates being good again and they were.
No. 5 for the day with CooPzZ, Lokori and The Rabbids! On the home stretch - getting hungry!
