No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.

4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

I cycled up here today to check out this area. I ignored the big "private property" notice and hoped for the best. When I finally got to the end of the unsealed road there were at least half a dozen cars there, with people sunbathing, swimming, fishing etc, so I don't think that the area is policed.

Anyway I cycled over to near the sandpump, stashed my bike nearby, then checked out GZ. There is a LOT of debris here, and no sign of a cache, so with all the DNFs I suppose that it is AWOL.
It looks like it's time for this one to be archived.
Beautiful spot though Smile

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.

I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

Dug deep underneath both black and white pipes with no success.

Searched thoroughly based on hint, but DNF like everyone else. We think the tide may have gotten to it as there was a lot of washed up debris, which we did try rummaging through

Sadly didnt find.

T-Tech and I have been staying at Cabarita Beach for a few days for our son's wedding, and it has been very busy with visitors coming and going, but finally today we can go geocaching! We took a run south to Ocean Shores, then sped up the freeway north to Chinderah and Fingal Head, then out via the old road to Duranbah. A fun outing, which gave us 18 finds and 2 DNFs.

We didn't even attempt this one as there is a very forbidding sign on the road (see my photo) and the fact that there's a whole pile of DNFs [(] The CO needs to look into this one.

its myst be been muggled. there's evidence someone has been camping there - clothes, blanket, pillow, shoes. Rubbish junk, and messy, cache no where in site

A thorough look here with Ruzzelz and no sign of a cache. Lots of debris so maybe it set sail on the high seas

27-Apr-16
We looked high, we looked low...not even the dog could sniff this one out. A lot of rubbish everywhere but this did not worry the Mooch who had a run on the beach. I'll keep an eye on these logs and if someone else finds it will try again as we're thinking it's gone. Thank you for taking us to an interesting spot and we'll take the dog more often as he could run free here.

17-Dec-15
My daughter pinkypie05, my son mazza151 and myself had attempted this cache the previous day but were unable to find it. We had also been unable to find the cemetery cache up the road. The CO of the cemetery cache had contacted me, and thought that maybe her cache was missing. We had planned to come back today on our way home to try to have another look at the cemetery cache as I thought maybe it was just us being cache blind! Anyway, we ended up meeting at her cache. I told her how we couldn't find this cache. She said that she knew the CO of this cache and suggested that she give me a container to replace it. She rang the CO but was only able to leave a message. However, with her permission she gave me a container, log book, etc to replace it if we still couldn't find it. So up the road we drove. We left muggle husband/Dad in the car. We walked to GZ, only to scream and nearly have a heart attack when a big snake slithered right in front of us. With our hearts still pounding, we continued on to GZ. We searched everywhere, even where it was previously hidden, picking up anything that looked like the newer more natural looking cache. So we put the new container where the hint suggested, covering it with a thin layer of sand, in the hope that muggles don't find it. The new container is a brown painted small systema container. TFTC and I hope this was ok to do!

While holidaying at Pottsville, my daughter pinkypie05, my son mazza151 and myself decided to do a few caches. Searched for a while but I feel this one may be missing. I will keep an eye on it for when we return next year.

15-Dec-15
Sadly a DNF for us today
Even widened our search
Still came away without a cache

20-Sep-15
Unfortunately this was a DNF. We had a team of U.S. And had a good dig and scratch. But alas nothing.

07-Jul-15
We knew what to look for but we couldn't find it. Looks like some low lives have taken up residence. Be careful poking around.

31-Jan-15
By the time we had parked to go and get this one we could see black clouds to the west. We headed towards GZ and the more agile OrionJ headed towards GW while I read the previous logs to see if there were any hints. It did not take too long for him to have this one in hand. We added our names to the log and hurried back to the car. It looked like we might have limited time to get the last couple of caches before the bad weather might overtake us. TFTC

31-Jan-15
Fourth stop for the day and we made it right to the top of the headland. Uncertain on the best access, we found was hopefully would work nearby to a gate, but with a path running besides the fence, and set off.

Soon enough we got to a spot that looked good and matched the hint, however nothing was turning up. After handing off my camera bag to Mr LHE Duo, I took another approach to a different part of the pipe and soon after checking a little, I come up with something promising. Sure enough it contained a log, and next thing Mr LHE Duo, mentioned other people were coming, so got the signing done and got moving quick.

Time to get back to the car anyway as the clouds were coming over quite grey, which turned into a storm not long after we got back to the car.

Last one on this road.
Parked nearby and headed in.
Soon where we needed to be and the cache was in hand.
Quite a few fishermen around today and the fish were not biting.

Came up here for a further inspection of the tweed and a walk along the break wall.
This cache was nearby so we couldn't resist. Woah this could have easily been a DNF, very tricky and clever.

TFTC! Great little find and easy once you get to sandpumping jetty. To get around the unrestricted access as described in below log note (and also in case its shut) drive right up to end (careful in rain can get bogged with 2WD car) there's a gorgeous secret little beach *bring your snorkels*. Park at this beach and follow south rockwall around to beach then access jetty and cache from the beach (public access). Forgot pen as we were in last minute geo hunt but photo shows our evidence of find. Surfers will enjoy but be careful, very strong rips and unpatrolled beach.

28-Sep-14
Very clever find and lovely location

28-Sep-14
The family and I headed south today and decided to visit Fingal as it's been way too long. The kids had fallen asleep on the way down so I thought this one would be perfect. However as the bitumen ran out we noticed a sign on the left that says "no unauthorised access". It seemed pretty official so we turned around.
Thanx anyway Krugers

27-Sep-14
Found with Toozey. Saw the sign and like most people completely ignored it. Nice beach at the end of the road and a cache. So had to be done!
Cool little hide that could have been very difficult but ended p being very easy as it was the first thing I looked at. Thanks for bringing us here. Big Grin

26-Sep-14
It was one of those brilliant spring days, so we decided to potter around Fingal without a specific destination in mind, just seeing where the car takes us. Well the car took us to the northern most point of Letitia Spit. We walked down along the sea wall and decided to head down to the pumping jetty. The other half of the team has recently become interested in bridge engineering, so while he was checking out the structure, I started the search.

For some reason I had a completely different expectation of what the container would be, so after checking out ground zero and not finding it I sat back to read through the previous couple of logs. One word jumped out, back to the search. Oh, there you are... Very clever, and completely unexpected. Of course now I am home and looking at the cache page on computer, I should have been more aware. Oh well!

Thanks for the cache.

Great hide, Nice area... but now I gotta wash the car... again... tftc...

31-Jul-14
Well I was half way from the carpark to the beach, reading the log when i got to the last lines....don't forget to byo pen. right, check the pockets, how could i possiblly have gotten out of the car without a pen. So it was a longer bit of exercise than anticipated but thats ok its beautiful down here this afternoon. There was quite a few fishermen heading down to the waters edge past the cache but no one seemed to see me hovering under the jetty. Great piles of driftwood under here as well as some less attractive pilchard bait, wonder why the seagulls haven't found these yet, they smell enough to attract them.
anyway love the cache container, easy find once I paid attention.

Did wonder where we were going driving up the track but arrived near coords and parked the geocar. Walked across the sand dunes to GZ and poked around in the sand for a while before finding cache - good natural container, a new idea to me. Found on the 22nd July but couldn't log until now. TFTC Smile

17-Jul-14
Great cache hopefully found at the correct spot as gps coord showed a different spot. TFTC

17-Jul-14
Great fun finding the caching with my brother, sister and dog. I loved the container.

Yay second find already hooked!!! So scenic and amazing thanks for the cache

09-Jul-14
Just as we were packing up to head south after house sitting in Fingal for the past 2 weeks, I saw this one pop back up. This time we decided to drive the 4 kms rather than walk like we did last time. The beach was deserted and it was a quick find. First to sign new log. TFTC The Krugers - nice handiwork !

08-Jul-14
Cache has been replaced with a more natural looking container, hopefully this will last longer

07-Jul-14
Will replace this cache as soon as possible

24-Jun-14
Heading North for a couple of months (Winter Migration), en route to Caloundra... Cool

I too will claim this as a find after stamping the blue clip... After making the trek along the sand, I headed back feeling a bit flat as I didn't have a replacement log... If this is not satisfactory, please let me know...Smile

Thanks for the cache and for bringing me here... Big Grin Dipped TB's...

Found the blue Sistema clip washed down a little further down the jetty. I also found a strange little raft and a black cup. I put the Sistema clip in the black cup. No log book. Happy Geocaching!

25-May-14
Yep. I too found the previous debris after I read the logs at GZ. I stamped the blue sistema clip assuming it was the cache - so without a log book, the cache is good for me. Fascinating spot so thanks for the GZ.

Thanks to The Krugers and clear skies from TeamAstro.

I would agree that this most likely has been muggled as what remains matches the photo in this log http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=379be296-ed3c-4b6b-88c2-2388e2c81f2d&IID=7e3b968e-9667-4ff1-ba6e-1ba35120eac9

On a trip down to the area to meet up with family, we took the opportunity to do a little caching on the side. Thoroughly enjoyed the area and saw some spectacular views during our visit.
Drove to the closest spot possible and started our little stroll. Wasn't long before we hit GZ and the cache was found in no time. Did wonder a little though because it wasn't covered and it didn't have a magnet either which surprised us. How does it just stay there??
Anyway the cache was found in good condition and in a very pretty and interesting spot.

We were heading to Byron Bay to attend a wedding and decided to go a bit earlier so that we could pick up some solved puzzles and any other caches nearby.

Had many decisions about the best way to get to this one as Lady membsec has injured her back so we eventually found the best entry and we had to hide as there was a maintenance car on top! Male membsec found it quickly!

Found on our bike ride from Fingal head. The gravel road was a little bumpy on the bikes and the sand was tough going. Tried riding on the sand just for a laugh, but that lasted all of 5-10m and wore me out.

Cache in good order and dry

Heading down Byron way today for two days of caching fun. Collecting some caches here and there along the way. This was my first stop for the day.

I saw an osprey on the rock wall as I was heading towards the cache. Very pretty. There was a car heading out along the jetty as I got to GZ, but I was well out of sight. A nice quick find to get me back on my way Smile

I noticed a little structure on my way back to the car too Smile

Been meaning to grab this one for a while and today whilst driving Southward over Barneys Point Bridge I thought "Okay lets do it". Didn't have to worry about the tide and an extremely interesting manm ade structure to contemplate (Does this thing still work?). Stagger here , look there and I soon had the matter in hand. I've been before but couldn't see this. The sand has moved quiet a bit and the cache is easily reached. I didn't like needing to go where two huge signs say "Keep out This means YOU"!

we followed some hoons to the car park they seemed to be having fun? but we parked behind them and found they were all young red "P" platers. that makes sense now.

we headed for the beach and started the walk to the sand pump. it was an great day to visit the beach and many were enjoying the calm bay and a few were braving the waves too.

we walked straight up to the cache and signed the log if only we could have found azure Kingfisher like that .

Lots of cars parked near the entry way. Not to worry we were sure that they would all be surfing, which was just the case, when we approached GZ. Found the cache once the GPS settled. The cache was a little further away then GZ. TFTC.

We were heading to this one and on a time limit so when we got to the "Private Property no entry" sign we had to turn around and abandon this one. we will attempt again another time when we are able to figure out a different access point?

I had just attended the International Geocaching Day event on the border and was invited to join Fangsoki, Pprime, Captain Terror and Censations on their mission to Mexico. Somehow the Captain and I lost the rest of the group, we headed for GZ knowing we'd find them again sooner or later. The stormy weather out to sea made for a good photo opportunity here today. Once at GZ it wasn't long until I had the cache in hand and the rest of the group had found us again.

Ah! What great information on this cache page. It is always nice to stand at a GZ and behold what you are really looking at! Out with Nyssaflutterby, Pprime and Censations for this one in two cars and we managed to arrive at two very different times, but met back up at GZ. Something to do with the rough and dusty road in, which, for the record, I enjoyed.

The closest approach turned out to be the easiest and I was happy I didn't have to get too sandy for it all. At GZ we did what needed to be done and soon found the cache in good condition. I couldn't help but notice a pinhead leak in the overhead pipe though. I'm sure 'she'll be right, mate'.

A very nice spot to visit and some great education to boot. TFTC The Krugers Smile

Another day out and about caching on the Gold Coast. Today was fantastic, as I was caching not only with Poynts95, but with Roostaman as well, one of my best caching buddies from down south. We had a great day, just going on a bit of a tour around, picking up caches along the way, grabbing a few mysteries, a lot of trads, an earth cache and an event. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.
------------------------------------------------------
We found a way to access this with quite a short walk, then James, being only 7yo and short, was able to retrieve it for us easily. Nice location. I read about the "Training Walls" in the cache description and initially thought it was a typo. I was going to make all kinds of jokes like, "Maybe the walls wont be here anymore because they have finished their training"..... However, I have since learnt about training walls.... So, I'll squeeze the jokes in anyway, and say, nice cache. TFTC.

I am in recently sunny NNSW for my August souvenir of the day. With Fangsoki and the Mighty Mondeo, The sweet Censations, NyssaFlutterby and also Captain Terror along for the walk we rocked on up to GZ and a quick find and log occurred shletered from the rather annoying wind.
Thanks for placing this cache, The Krugers. Found in good condition.

I was visiting the area to join the crowd for the International Geocaching Day Event and to collect a few caches while I was here.

I wanted to get this one as I had a bit of time to venture up this way.

After my initial attempt to park in the wrong spot, I then found the right access point.

A group of surfers in a government sponsored bus were checking out the beach as I approached but they didn't see me take the path to the cache.

Easily located it when I got there.
