Today the geocaching plan for Taurus Six and myself was to clear up some outstanding caches around the Collie area. There are several out that way that have been on our radar for quite a while and we have just not gotten around to getting them. We decided to head there via Australind where we note a new cache had been published recently and an old cache had been replaced. We headed out quite early , although the sun was up. We really enjoyed our walk out onto the Australind jetty before heading to Collie via Raymond Road. The caches we were focusing on in Collie were all in lovely bush setting, many need a short walk to get to which was the highlight of the day, they weather was winter perfect and the bush is so nice at this time of year. All in all a great day of geocaching was had, ten cache finds and about 6 kms of walking. This was our eighth cache find of the day. Along these fabulous forest tracks around Collie. We followed the powerline track to nearly all the way to gz, just had to walk into bush for the last few metres. Gps played up so we circled for a little while , very happy to have cache in hand. Thanks for the cache find ozidave .
Camped at Potters Gorge & exploring the area, this cache was our next stop... We never quite made it to this one last time we were in the area, so made sure that we found it on this visit It was raining as we got close & I jumped out of the car to hopefully make a quick find & as the metres counted down the stump appeared containing the prize TFTC ozidave [^]
Wow good track as lucky right track .
Short bash the bush only 16 mts
Signed the log as EV and thanks for the cache and hunt.

A quick and easy find. Hearing the power lines crackling above us was a bit unnerving Found with teamlaroche. TFTC
Quick find out the back of Colie. Enjoyed the 4x4 along the powerline track. Thanks for the hide
Quick find along a bumpy track.
Log book is wet but still managed to sign it with my Tank Pen.

Glad to make the find here after taking a less formed path a month ago and getting the car bogged. A more sensible approach today. Tftc
Down in Collie for the non-event of Family Steiner’s Seven Year Itch. We got down as early as possible after a FTF near the CBD and made the most of some glorious caching weather.
Started off near Wellington Dam grabbing a few of the caches there and venturing mainly on the outskirts of town before the pub lunch and a few caches north of the town and ultimately the big ride home.
Had a great day trying for some unloved, the highlight of which was 1000 days unloved on bibbi bridge.
Thanks familysteiner and the local Collie COs in particular Razzam for showing us some unique sights.

Thanks ozidave for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.
Out ‘n about with m4yb getting a few caches.
We forbid him from looking for this one so m4yb made this find. A lovely drive to the location with a very good safe drive.
Thanks for the hide and ozidave.

Out and about with M4YB and Megawatt60. A find for M4YB. Cache is VERY damp thankfully the powertank pen write on pretty much anything. TFTC
Caching in Collie with Two + Four and megawat60. After some good driving by Mr Two + Four on some gnarly tracks I was happy to find this cache, log a bit wet though. TFTC!
Tried to find this one a few years ago but had no luck. Pretty stoked this time around
Found it while camping in Collie for the weekend.
Followed the track along the power line from the sealed road. Found the cache easily, then decided to continue towards the river. The track became really rough soon, so turned around and headed towards the next hide.

Happy afternoon caching with the wife, geokids and geopooch.
This one was fun to get to after finding Roberts Rock and following the road around the private property (like doing 2 sides of the triangle...). Be aware that you will need a 4wd as the road is very steep and has very large humps that will belly out most vehicles.
The powerline track itself is relatively easy, most soft roader or AWD vehicles should able to get here.
Found the cache no problems. TFFC ozidave

Perfect cache for me whilst following the transmission powerline. Had a bit of a chuckle that someone left a tutti frutti condom in the cache, luckily the expiry date on it is 2019 so anyone wanting to do a swap, Youve got time.
*Tip- if you want to be super adventurous and 4x4 down the hill to the river, be prepared to somewhat struggle to drive back up. Especially if its been raining!

I avoided most of the bumpy drive along the powerline track by following Concession Road, a bit to the west of the powerline crossing
That took me to a short drive up a hill to reach GZ, next to a big bit of steel
This area has become a bit overgrown over the years !!
'Bout time it had a haircut
In among the new growth I soon found me a stump which looked like it should hide a cache
TFTC !!
And the GPS worked perfectly under the high voltage lines
Though it did start to glow after a few minutes and me hair was standing on end !! [:o)]

Lucky geohubby has a land cruiser, love the fwd'ing out here! The replacement cache is still pristine! TFTC
thought the power lines may upset the gps it was spot on replaced the cashe with a 250m sistema and a new log book left a kellyawsome bottle top tftc
Needs new cache container and log book. Nothing worth salvaging from cache as it is now.
So many caches out there, waiting to be found. ~Tango~ was up from Albany again and was happy to do spend another day caching, so off we set, heading southwards. We were fast running out of daylight by the time we came out to this one, but we weren't going to leave it behind. This one is in a very sad state - cache is disintegrating, and log book is just back and front page, nothing in between. Needs urgent attention.
The cache was in a very sad state. Signed the only scrap of paper not yet rotted away. Tried following the power lines up the road but beat a strategic retreat after the road condition deteriorated to a pretty nasty condition
Found the cache but it's cactus. Container is splintered, bag is degrading and log contains only cardboard outer covers- no paper left. Didn't have a container to hand.
Didn't read previous log. Book is no good.
Been a while since this was last found

I didn't read the previous log before I got to this one - the container is still cracked (perhaps from an over enthusiastic rock placement). Water has got in. The log is soaked / destroyed. But it's still a tree stump.
As we were going past this spot to do another cache further down the road, we drove up to collect the trackables to move them on.
Cache container is cracked, we placedit in a plastic bag but it will need attention before winter.

Would the next finder of this cache please check and see if our TB the Pirates Pupfish is still in it and let us know thru geocaching.coms site. Thanks, The Pirates of the Yukon
We had tried to do this cache last year but couldn't find the correct access - probably didn't read the listing directions either! Anyway today we were on our way to do other caches in the Collie area and had no trouble today getting to gz.
Had a great time 4wd in along some tracks to get to this one....Easy drive out. Saw some wildlife too. Awesome!!
TFTH 3rd to find! TNLN

FTF! Wet and wind lunchtime, nice bush drive along a farm track and then up the hill following the electrical lines. A bit unnerving going to the cache, hearing the lines buzzing above me.
Hint: Use the track at S33 23.521' E116 06.890', easiest way to get to the cache.
