Just seen a Facebook post from KCDC saying that the playground is being upgraded, a lot of old equipment has been removed and the area is fenced off while they make way for the new gear.
Day out on the Kapiti coast working out some multi caches . Thanks for the challenge
Nine rungs, or eleven? Picked the wrong one and found myself looking at someone's front door. An easy find at the other!

Staying in Raumati South for a couple of days for work. This evening out for a stroll to grab some solved puzzles and multis. Wandered over and made the grab. Able to claim 1.95km towards DGSc Distance challenge also. Thanks for the multi.
Find #3 on my biggest caching day so far. I haven't visited this park since I was a kid - quite a bit more developed now. TFTC
Up the coast to get some caches. Worked out the final coords and quickly found the goodies. All in order. TFTC
Great new location, an easy find!
Had several attempts in the past before realising it was a DNF.

Great to finally get a smiley face for this one after several attempts. Park very popular on this nice sunny day. Cache all good. TFTC
The CO kindly let me log a find on the cache back in July when it was evident that the cache was missing. Today back at the park to watch the Capital 11 v's the Phoenix, I thought I should honour the July "find" and actually go and sign the replacement log.
No problem this afternoon, thought I had spotted the cache on approach which was confirmed with a very quick find. Brand new pristine log so have now finally signed the log.
Many thanks bkj97 for replacing and another lovely day up on the coast [^] watching some footy and visiting family.

Logged with the CO's approval. The youngest was playing football on the field so had a wander around the play ground whilst they were warming up to ascertain the answers. Then it was off to the calculated coordinates. Found a likely looking spot but the hint didn't match up . Some serious trimming has all but decimated the cache hide - assuming my calculations from the play ground were correct.
Email sent to the CO advising the cache may need investigation and some remedial action.
By the way, my son's team went down against the local team, but a better result our way than the last time the two teams met.

Enjoyed working this one out on a sunny day with LCBuilder, didn't have any problems with the questions and the final location looked good on the map. We got there and the coordinates pointed us straight to a likely location but the tree looks like it has had some major trimming done and is now missing entire branches..
Had a couple of days staying in Paraparaumu and manged to get quite a lot of caching time. Fair bucketing down for a good portion of both days - hence some very very short logs in an attempt to keep the logs as dry as possible! Thanks for the caches, neat area to cache in.
Soccer trials on, and to keep other child entertained, we solved the puzzle and found the cache. Nice park and fun puzzle to solve, thanks.

Soccer trials on this morning for one of the KapitiKid's so the rest of us decided to tackle the multi. KK2 got to do math practice and the calcs were good as we soon had the final plotted and the cache in hand. Thanks for the nice little multi.
Found with Selesi and Friend Barb. Fortunately no-one at the playground, although cricket being played on nearby field. Took a few minutes to discover all info. Arriving at GZ, Barb with the one to lay her mitts on the cache. TFTC
Started this one about 18months ago while my other half was at interclub tabletennis in nearby hall but couldn't find a couple of co ords. Back today with UlmusLynx and Barbara to finish off. Barbara came up trumps. TFTC
We had fun this one, kids enjoyed the playground while we collected the data to take us to the final.
We decided to drive a little closer and park over toward where we were heading.
We then deceided to walk to the final, after hunting high and low with no luck we headed back to the car.
Carter then said wouldn't it be funny if it was right here and headed over to a nearby tree, and had cache in hand within seconds.

Nice little multi. No-one around today using this great children's playground. A pleasant walk to GZ with team geocacher Mr. T and an easy find. Stealth required due to nearby houses. Tftc.
Nice to finally get this one ticked off today as it is the only cache for us (excluding a few of this CO's trickier puzzles) that don't involve a significant drive to get to. Our daily cache streak lives on! Day 76!

Triple checked the clues then set off to an other entrance. Found tree with some stones at waist height but couldn't locate the cache.
Found the tree that matched co-ordinates and decription, though foliage seemed to of been removed, along with the cache.
Got the info during a stroll for a paper and milk run, and found the final later in the morning. TFTM
An area we haven't visited before. Did our best not to look dodgy hanging around the kids playground, collected the needed data and retired to the cache mobile to do the numbers.
At GZ the clue was deployed as we found ourselves to be some distance from the target. Pretty sure that we did the numbers correctly. Maybe a checksum would be a helpful addition (ooops, excuse the pun!).
After a bit of looking here and there we did make the find on the cache.
All in order here. Log was signed, cache then safely re-hidden. All without muggle interference, although near neighbour does enjoy a good view of GZ, that's for sure.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Checked this one in passing this morning and cache was exactly where it has always been.
Find #1624. Back for another cycle-caching bash at the geocaches in Paraparaumu, focusing on unsolved mysteries and multis. A sunny but cool southerly day on the coast. I had trouble with calculating this one on a previous visit but was so close after finding Six Bridges, I decided to take a logical guess on the final and came up with the treasure. The plastic bag inside was fairly sopping, but surprisingly the log book was dry (ish) so commandeered the plastic bag from my lunch box and changed it over, disposing of the old bag in the handy rubbish bin. SL TFTC
A quick easy find today, after the cache was missing last time we looked for it. We were clearly being observed by an occupant of the nearby house. TFTC
Cache #919 - right next door to someplace I will be every week from now on, so thought I should tackle this while the weather was nice. Entertained by the scottish pipes from the nearby band rehearsing while I roamed the playground. Took a while to find the last piece of the puzzle, and then came up with one clue that had two possible answers, depending on how it was counted. Had to wait until dark to go out for the final. First possible location was obviously not correct, so went to second. Bingo! Nice hide, took a while to extricate, both from spot and the logbook from cache. Signed and returned as found. TFTC!
Tried this one a couple of weeks ago but misinterpreted one of the clues which put us a few hundred meters out. Revisited today and realised our mistake - cache was easily found. Thanks very much.
The questions seemed straightforward, and the coordinates led us to a likely hiding spot, consistent with the hint, but disappointingly, given that the cache was in “our” park, we were unable to find it.
Lovely park. Found final easily but had to be careful as the civilian that lives next door was respraying his roof. TFTC
That time of the season again. Soccer registration brought me here today, which gave me the opportunity to finally knock this one off. Left #2 son to solve the clues, while I signed #1 son up for the coming soccer season. A nice walk to find the cache in perfect dry condition. TFTC.
Enjoyed answering the questions and calculating the final co-ords. Walked to GZ and soon had the log signed. Thanks for the fun multi.

1.45pm. Had to come back to get all the information but once it was in hand it was a quick drive to and find.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
The cache was quickly in hand today after our previous failed attempt when it was mia. Thanks for restoring it. TFTC
A very pleasant playground and recreation area. Big cricket game in progress today. Gathered the info and off to the final without any problem. TFTC
#2261. Felt a bit consispicuous getting the info. There were muggles feeding ducks at GZ when we first went past, but by the time we came back after doing another cache the coast was clear, and Troodles found pretty quickly. TFTC.
Some of the info was hard to track down and we were starting to feel very dodgy hanging around a children's playground without the requisite children. Relieved to get all the numbers and leave the area. Cache was pretty exposed, have left it a bit better covered.

Initially we couldn't find this cache not realising the extent of the park. After reviewing past logs and researching the co-ordinates we found it on the second try. We actually discovered the cache on the footpath near its registered location so after logging our find we put it back in its original place.
This one was fun - had the kids clambering all over the playground to find the clues and then off on the mission to find the clue. Picked up a couple of local kids to help us - they were all very excited to find it.
Team Lost and Loster had a go at this one during the Assemblage de College Paraparaumu event in November but was fooled by a typo in the original listing. I returned today and found the cache quickly. At least I know now that our answers were correct unlike with some other multis that we managed to muck up that day. TFTC.
Got the coords and decided to drive around the park.Picked the correct entrance and quickly found cache.Thanks.
Solved and found with Kiwi Mico. Had used the booklet handed out at caching event. Thought something wasn't quite right but when I saw where the GZ was going to be, (Reikiorangi) I referred to the ipod and saw the changes. . Cache soon found and log signed. TFTC.
After failing to complete previously, a little help from the owner soon had us heading in the right direction. TFTC
A nice little walk while the geo-juniors and the better half made use of the playground. TFTC!
retrieved today. playground empty on a sunny day. Cache was expposed so we have buried it.
A great park and one I had no idea about. Numbers worked out all OK and a quick find at the final by the junior member of the team.

Nice and easy find today - couldn't find during the event with the error in the listing. SL TFTC
This was a bit of humour! Several muggle-ites playing on the playground in question finally plucked up the courage to ask what I was doing - but I wouldn't let on! One of them figured out what I was holding and theorised I was trying to bomb the playground - kids these days!
Cheers,
Vaudevillain.

3TF Collected info, had a coffee stop and collected on the way to vote and get the vegies from the market. T4TCSL
Solved all the questions on site.. One took a while to find and one had two potential answers, but using logic we solved it and found the cache after a lovely walk with MyCro Man.. Thanks for the cache
#1716. With the revised coordinates, we flew back today from Tararua Forest Park for a quick find. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Thanks to agcnz for the log. Huhugrub had already alerted me that the original put him in Tararua Forest Park. Final 175 0W NOW 174 5W
Don't know where we could have gone wrong with this one. Seemed easy enough but final co-ordinates were too far away to be likely.
Found this evening after not being able to put the ball in the net earlier in the day. Got to where we thought it should be, -gonefishing- found it in a spot I had just looked in , pleased to share in an FTF here with yetrees and agcnz as well. TFTC
I had one more than three slidey down things for W but will check and delete this log if I was right. Apols if I was wrong.
FTF (21:20) This one had us flighting all over the place , but no luck on the first pass, decided to continue and do some more easier caches during daylight and wait for our nocturnal instincts to kick in, went back to published GZ and checked our answer in the dark after talking to the owner, it is amazing what you can see in the dark, decided on a couple of co-ordinates and off to the final, Found with agcnz, boxhill and -gonefishing- after the event day. Found quickly in the spot that we finally looked. Thank you for bringing us to this nice spot, TFTC TNLNSL (2414)
Worked out all the answers during the event cache with boxhill, -gonefishing- and Yeetrees but the final coordinates didn't make sense so we didn't waste any more time. However talking with cache owner bjk97 later, he told us the general area the cache should be in so we decided to have another try later in the day. When we approached the general area, we realised that the only thing likely to be in error was the longitude and that all the answers to the questions fitted just fine. In fact the puzzle solution should be S 40 5A.BCD E 174 5W.XYZ, and once this was entered we walked straight to the cache to gain another welcome FTF. This is still wrong in the published cache description, it is giving longitude as E 175 0W.XYZ. Signed log, TFTC and for the little extra challenge
