As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to un-archive it.

I noticed this cache has a string of DNFs prior to a [blue]Needs Maintenance[/blue] log which was posted in DEC 2013. As the cache owner has not maintained this cache in a timely manner in accordance to the guidelines, I am temporarily disabling this cache.

While I feel Geocaching.com can hold this location for a cache owner and block other caches from being placed nearby, it cannot be held forever. ie Use it or lose it.

Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the [blue]archive listing[/blue] link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If you plan on repairing or replacing this cache, please log a reviewer note on the cache page (not email) within the next 30 days to avoid the cache being archived due to non-communication.

Thank you for your cooperation.

No this has definitely gone and must have been gone for some time. Although I did not set this cache up, I will place a a new container and log as soon as I can find a suitable container, if that is OK with the original owner http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_sad.gif

Did we detect a touch of desperation? This is one cache that isn't going anywhere it shouldn't...it wont blow away, get washed away, or be pocketed as a souvenir. Smart thinking.

Nice day for a bike ride around the coastal cycleway. Even the tide was cooperating. Plenty of action at the nearby dump station but no one seemed to want to know what we were up to. Thanks for the effort that went into this clever hide.

Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs Smile

New cache in place, new description also done as cache has changed in the hope it doesn't get removed by the tide next time there is a big one.

Nice One!!!!!!! Now a cache from one end to the other and in between. Went fully prepared for a good mud mission slog; however, low tide left area high and dry and a disappointed Grandson. Was able toss a few flat rocks that created a neat "explosion". Much fun. Quick and easy find. Well done! Thanks

FTF Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin A quick Google of the tide times, head torches and gumboots on and we were off. Our first FTF since Valentines Day. Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
As we were returning to the car a cyclist came roaring around the corner to the cries of "too late".
Nice to meet you Dafran. The 1 hour chat was just as fun as the FTF. Swapping caching stories seems to take quite a while Big Grin
Thanks Southward4 for the cache.
Great first cache.
