Not really one for summer. Still I brave GZ and had a good look but nada. Looking at the list of DNFs and who logged them I will log a NM log.
Not keen to replace this and would need to find the right bits for the container.
Thanks Charles.
Thanks Charles.
No luck despite coming in daylight and exploring the results of cubby building and associated activities.
Out again with m4yb. Can’t imagine even trying in the night like barnzy12, but a very thorough with 2 pairs of eyes to no joy.
It’s been a while since Jinta29 and I ventured out so the offer of a morning in Freo was not to be turned down.
We had a number of GC and GCA caches on the radar and this was one.
This has been sitting in the solved pile for ages and happy to cross it off today. Glad it has survived the nearby cubby building.
duncdonut73, Kyzabra found your cache A Paltry Dilemma, the cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Kyzabra and I hatched a plan to grab a few caches around the Freo area and this was one we stopped for!
G’day there duncdonut73, I was in this area today and found your cache A Paltry Dilemma GC2DJHK. I added my name to the log book at 5:54 am on 26 December 2017. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!
This brings our total find count to 9129

Out geocaching in the afternoon after the West Oz Geocaching event in Melville. I solved the puzzle just before leaving the house. My first try had some promise so I added more to the key and came up with more information then added the full key word to finally read all of the message. The physical location of the cache was done fairly quickly once the GPS ha settled on the right object. Well done duncdonut73 for a fine puzzle and many thanks for the cache
Came here after attending nearby event, six finds and two DNF's for the day.
Possible temporary homeless person's residence near GZ?
Hidden very well; TFTC!

Stepdad solved this puzzle a while back so me and my mum decided to come and make the find... After making the short walk to gz the gps had us in a spot that looked to be where teenagers had some fun and were nearly ready to give up when OOH YEH. decided to check one last place and low and behold made the find hahahaha TFTC
The geohubby solved this a while back so i decided to head up this way with the geodaughter Kristybelle to pick up the cache. The short walk to Gz is quite overgrown but we made our way through it and started to search. You can tell close to GZ is a hangout spot as there is rubbish everywhere. We couldnt find the cache to start with and was ready to give up when i spotted one place we hadnt looked and thank goodness the cache was there. TFTC duncdonut
I was in the area yesterday on a failed FTF hunt and while I was picking up some other caches I noticed this question mark on the map. It wasn't till I got home that I realised I had tried to solve it previously but drew a blank at the time.
Decided to have another go and soon stumbled onto what might be the start of the key phrase. A short time later I was very pleased to get the thumbs up from the checker.
Arrived at the area of GZ this afternoon and there looked to be a lot of places to search. I think I was quite lucky to glimpse part of the egg out of the corner of my eye as I walked past and soon had the cache in hand.
duncdonut73 I found your cache at 4:27pm, this was the 1st of 1 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2538. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Solved a little while ago. At GZ took a while to work in to 0m but once there was a quick find. Thanks for the puzzle and hide.
Was planning on grabbing a few puzzles around the Freo area that I'd solved some time ago. Spotted this one the other day and thought it didn't look too difficult.
Gave it a bash this morning and had the solution with my second guess at the key words ... nice.
Arrived at GZ around 11am. The hardest part was gaining access to GZ, walked almost all the way around before finding a way in. A minute or two later and the cache was in hand.
Great puzzle and apt container. Well played sir.

I solved this puzzle over a year ago, with a not too much difficulty as I managed to find the key pretty quickly. Trying to find this cache was another matter. I arrived in the dark, well before dawn and for some reason I thought I was looking for a regular size. So there was much frustration while only searching places where a decent sized box could fit. I was about to give up when I decided to have another look at the description and that is when I picked up on my error. As it turned out my right hand was only 30cm from the cache and I made the connection very shortly after that. Great challenge. Cheers duncdonut73
I had a dilemma of the not so paltry size. Didn't seem to matter what I tried, I seemed to find more fail words than pass words. Eventually I put out an SOS for help and the problem was solved. Riding along Leach Highway has only 1 advantage...if you go down you're likely to never get up, which for most athletic types is a preferred option. Still, better to avoid going down in the first place and I was successful with that this morning. I could see the likely GZ as I crested the hill but had sheep filled sticky trucks boxing me on the kerb so I had to ride up the next hill past GZ and eventually do a U turn to roll back down to GZ. Not an ideal cache to retrieve with a bike...not my favourite GZ even once the bike was discarded. Pleased to find the cache safely tucked away so I could add my name to the log. Thanks for the cache duncdonut73.
Got it. The puzzle was fairly straight forward and I had a little help from the cache owner that I probably didn't need now. On my last visit I with previous device I was put about 20mtrs from GZ. No wonder I couldn't find it. New Device which is just a Windows phone put me right on it.
Nice little hide-hole for this one.

Cache found in the last place we looked, which was as usual not the first place we looked. Thanks for the cache guys.

Noticed last night that the cache was back up so made a slight detour on our way home south to make a quick find. Great hidey spot which should not attract muggle attention.
Mr & Mrs Felix and Everlasting in the geo cruiser with baggage and bikes all enroute to the Ferry terminal. Yep we are on the way to Rotto!
Well a slight detour was called for by Mrs Felix, after last night realising that the CO had done some maintenance. Everlasting was very concerned that we had lost our marbles as we were not heading in the right direction for the ferry!
BUT when she realised where we were taking her to, she was VERY excited!
And would you believe it she found the cache too!
Glad to finally knock this one on the head.

Accompanied with FelixII on the way to Rottnest Island.. True agree with FelixII's comment anyway I was so happy when I find the container and signed the log (FTF)?? lol... Thanks duncdonut73 for puzzle and hunt
Was in the area so dropped by to have a look. Didn't think it was an area for the cache to be easily muggled but so it was. Perhaps it was taken to add to Darwin's collection. Cache replaced, although now the egg is unfertilised (still not edible though) - the previous one had a little chicken in it waiting to hatch. The species seems to have evolved as the egg is also no longer black.
We had completed the puzle some time ago - just needed a visit to Perth to complete with a smiley. However it was not to be today and even after phoning a previous finder who confirmed our search area - we came up with zilch. Think its time the CO paid a visit.
Out with MCFonz still on our puzzle run. We thought we had done the hard stuff and only had to find the cache now!
Alas with 3 of us searching all we found were prickle bushes. For 2 hours Mrs Felix was still digging prickles out for MCFonz and Mr Felix.
Very sad to log a DNF on this one.

Make it and geochecker said Congratulations and went there - search and ouch watch out the shrub is prickly... so DNF for me. Thanks dunc...
Solved this a while ago with some guidance from the CO. Dropped by today to grab it on the way back to the city from a puzzle cache further south. SL TFTC Dunc.
My recent layup enabled me to do a few puzzles that I hadn't solved and this was one of them. Was visiting nearby and came down to find the cache.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache.
Yay, finally found it!
I last had a go at this one on October 31 last year so it is nice to log this as a find some nine momnths later! This time I took rudi63 with me to help the search and after a while I managed to find the cache in its hidey hole. So obvious when you come at it from THAT direction! I liked the puzzle and I really like the cache container. Especially the little character inside the container, very nice touch indeed
Thanks for a great puzzle and cache duncdonut73
Cheers

With Wileyclan, headed north today to attend the event and grab some caches in an area that we do not often visit. Rain and storms today did not dampen our enthusiasm, but lack of local knowledge did mean that some of the navigating left a little to be desired
Darwin had many theories, but I beleive the egg came first, and today we even found the little chicken
Thanks duncdonut

I solved this one a long time ago, and was happy to be able to make the find today. In fading light with a torch that needs new batteries I searched a couple of places before making a very easy find in the right spot!
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache dunc!

Overnight changes were made to the website so I've made some changes to the cache description so your eyes can hopefully cope with my choice of background image.
I've also thrown in some very subtle hints, as well as one in the hint area.

Despite solving the puzzle soon after it was launched I haven't had a chance to head out and find it. Well today was the day and I was rewarded with a successful find. A nice cache container. TFTH.
Solved this puzzle a couple of weeks ago, but wanted to make it my 50th find in honour of my brother who introduced me to this exciting sport. Even though he is family, I was determined to solve it without any help, and in any case, even if I had asked him for a clue, I probably would have come away with more questions than answers.
Anyway, after finding my 49th cache yesterday evening, I headed out to the GZ this morning, and my GPS took me to the exact spot. Except that I got distracted by a decoy nest a few metres away and spent several minutes examining it. When I decided to trust my GPS, I spotted a likely hiding spot, and soon had the cache in hand. I was expecting to find a golden egg, but instead found a golden chicken!
Well done Dunc and TFTC.

Came for a visit to check on the cache. This place isn't nearly as interesting at this time of year as it was in the midst of winter. Anyway, at least we got to see those huge "osprey nests" all in flower...
Well this is my only DNF of the day. I arrived at GZ and searched around for a while. After getting poked, scraped and bitten by ants I resorted to ringing a friend. They were unavailable so I looked some more with some more pain involved!!! In the end I had to get going. Thanks for the tip on the puzzle when I asked for some help duncdonut73, if only I can find the signing bit now!!!
Cheers

Hurray. A straight forward cipher I could solve. Well except the first part wasn't that straight forward. And then there was that other tricky bit. Still, very eggciting to get a smiley. Our search party began with 3 but after a bobtail did a pretty good impersonation of a snake the search party reduced to 1. And I was easily distracted by the abundance of wildflowers. But eventually found the cache eggsactly where it should have been. Thanks Duncdonut73 for this puzzle and hunt.
We had to have some guidance to get us on the right track and then the pieces of the puzzle fell together. Beautifully put together from start to finish. TFTH
What a great little spot and a cute hide to boot. Apparently they were spraying something I was to avoid recently so I went the long way around from where I was parked. TFTC
My last cache on this mini excursion in this area - Saved the best till last! Puzzled over this for quite some time before checking with duncdonut73 for a clue - then the fog lifted and the answer was quickly to hand. So was very pleased to find the resting place for the cache today very nicely tucked away in its nest. Thanks for the dilemma of the puzzle and the hunt duncdonut73.
Q. What came first - the chicken or the egg? A. Neither - the Easter Bunny!

Wow that one was a corker...dont think I would have solved it without a nudge from MTKEus...fortunately I took eagle eyed col117 as he found the cache(awesome container) after a bit of a search...thanks duncdonut73 for a clever and well crafted puzzle
Logging a visit from an amusing geocoin - one of the most [:o)] decent coins [8] I've seen!
Congratulations to MTKEus for your first FTF in Australia on my very first cache hide!!

Yeah, my first FTF in Australia. I can't believe it, as Chwiliwr is very hard to beat.
But this puzzle is also very difficult and from my point of view at least D4, or better D4.5.
To come from the listing to a special expression and to a related cipher and find the keys for that cipher would have been not possible without Duncan's help. Thanks for that.
At gz it was quite difficult to find the little container, but when I remembered that T is only 1.5 it took just a few looks to find it.
Thanks for the nice puzzle and the mail-chat with you.
Cheers from Germany. This is so eggular .
