Tonight we had time to check up on this only to discover it had indeed gone missing. We thought about it and as Mr80 no longer spends time working in the city making maintenance of this one more difficult we decided it was time to retire this cache. With 1231 finds, 283 favourites and a large number of overseas visitors to this cache we have enjoyed reading everyone's adventure.
We'll add our name to the list of DNFs. As it hasn't been found since July, is it time for a CO check?
I’m sure I was looking in the right area. Had a tool with me, but couldn’t retrieve anything. Hasn’t been found since July. Either I was poking in the wrong place or the paper log has been damaged???
Looking at my watch, I thought I had time for one more before I had to leave to catch a plane. Difficulty 3. How hard can it be? - there IS a hint... So... with muggle traffic aplenty, I stood aside for a visual search. I then investigated the few anomalies that I had noticed. OK, so back to the visuals, widen the search and try again. Unfortunately (or fortunately - I now have an excuse ) I ran out of time and will have to come back to this one.
Ah...I think I've found it...if this guy on the phone will move...ohhh not it. ( I was so sure!)
Heybwhats....Aha...this is it!
...Oh no it's not....
Darn...I'm suddenly late for the lunch I had been early for.
Another time.

Found 17:43 23/7/19 while working in Melbourne for a couple of days. Very nice camo, and and interesting building. Thank you 80degrees for the cache and bringing me to this location.
Day 18 of our adventure across Australia. Traveling from Kalamazoo,Michigan, USA. We were suppose to fly to Melbourne yesterday but high wings canceled our flight. Spending another night in the Sydney CBD, I woke up early to grande a cache before flying out today. I ended up with two smiles and one DNF. We made it to Melbourne and after dinner I grabbed 3 target caches before calling it a night. A lot cooler here in Melbourne. I won’t be in shorts and t-shirt down here. Hopefully the rain upon landing is all we see here today. TFTC PS. This was one of my target caches on this trip. Luckily we ate dinner just across the river. My smart phone was a little jumpy and this one had me walking in circles for a minute or two. I finally put my hand on it and sure enough that was it. Clever hide. Earns a coveted Fav Pt from me.
Came in from the 'burbs to put a smiley face on this cache.
Traffic and construction works gave us an unexpected adventure.
The cache was found and fingers worked fine for cache removal.

Here from the USA with ACLcordinator, dirkster007 and lincolnsaunt. 3 more weeks to go and a whole lot more fun ahead. This was another nicely done find for today. Favorite from me.SL - LADD for the group. Tftc
Found while exploring Australia for 3 weeks from the USA with my husband ACLCoordinator, Dirkster007 and Detour429. We signed the log LADD to save time and space. Thanks to everyone who placed the caches we found along our route while we visited your beautiful country!
Now I see why all the favorite points. One of the best kind of hides out in the open you will ever find. We struggled on the front or back as we had a lot of bounce with the GPS but we came back to the front in the end.
We are on a holiday enjoying our time away caching and sightseeing. We start the journey off with a few day stop in Hawaii. From there we will visit NewZealand from Wellington to Dunedin. From there we move on to Australia taking in a Mega along the way from Melbourne to Sidney ending in Brisbane before heading home via a layover in South Korea. We plan to pick up a few year 2000 caches and as many others as time will allow.
THANKS goes to 80degrees for placing this gr[8] cache! We appreciate all those who hide caches for without you there would be nothing to find. We are not gr8cachers we like finding GR8Caches! This was our 22774 find. Keep on caching!

After the Event I hosted at QV Centre ended at 2pm, 4 of us i.e. cherryslices88, DavidNessie, Cliff5009 and yours truely went geocaching together.
For urban caches, it is so much easier to blend into the tourist mode and share our thoughts on the hide. For this one, Cliff has been great help. Cache was extracted and signed.

The day was getting on but the enthusiasm was still high. Our team of four, Maria, Bernard, Cliff and me just merged into the passing crowd as we recovered the prize. This cleverly hidden cache would normally not be given a second glance. But not to our team effort. A clever hide just the same. SL. TNLN.
Thanks 80degrees for the placement.

Good spot! TFTC. Done with friends old and new from over seas and locally. Woo hoo!! Come in a group to be less conspicuous.
Tried it twice, but could not find it. My phone also has problems to find the right location. Perhaps next time better
On holidays from Canberra roaming my old hometown...this one had muggles everywhere but I bolted onto this one as I had seen a previous hide up home similar...tftc tnln...cheers
First thing I put my hand on, wandered about for a little and then came back. Very nice for an Urban hide.
Awesome find. Had to stand back and peruse the situation. And had to look ultra casual. Tftc
And here we are. It is 2022, and after moving my life half the world away to Australia, discovering that Geocaching there without my friends was not as fun, generally trying to survive Australian fauna and flora and finding a job, only doing Geocaching on occasion during 2019, and then the pandemic hitting in 2020 and putting almost a complete halt to all traveling and finding, plus finally coming back to Europe to try and redo my life here this year… I have decided to sit down and log online all of the records I had gathered offline during these years. Some are lost forever (don’t trust your phone for years on end with offline logs), but hopefully I will manage to recover enough logs to paint a few broad strokes of what these years were, and the places they took me to.
Apologies in advance to all owners for this (in some cases, very) delayed logging. I can only say that sometimes we are not in the best place, and it takes time to find oneself. Thanks in advance for the hides, the places you took me to, and the stories you shared in the way.

After not being able to travel due to lack of work, and then due to too much work, we finally manage to take a few days to do a quick road trip around Kozciusco, and then down to Melbourne and back.
It was only a few days, but the weather was nice, and we could do some caches. We continue our tour for the day in Melbourne. Exploring the city and the surroundings in a busy, busy day.

Found this beauty at last. Had to bring geohubby as I was here for an hour last time and ready to pull hardware off a wall. He said " there it is" in about a minute. TFTC
Found @9:45 while waiting for friends to arrive at the nearby station. I surprised myself how quickly I found this but the gps gods have been kind this morning. Love learning something new about Melbourne - you could see the tunnels into the vaults at the back of the nearby hairdressers, very very cool! TFTC!
Although we were out early, it seemed .... where we wanted to go , so did the muggle .... right at the spot. So we stopped and a board close by as a quietly said to my husband. I already know where it is, we just need to fella to move on. With that he did and we were able to make the find quickly. Not because it’s “easy” we were just able to pinpoint it quickly. As l was signing it, my muggle husband said .... gee that’s a great one given the location and for that, we hand over another fav point Well done and thank you .
Awesome find! Just so happened to be the first spot I tried and Mrs Pimp My Balloons was amazed that I even thought to check here! First time she has seen one of these in action! Quick find after installing balloons at one of the local nightclubs. Super clever cammo! Had to give this one a favorite.

With so many favourite points, I had to target this one, especially during the 'Carnivalle'.
I had looked for this some years ago, but struggled and was 'muggled' away. Today, armed with some inside knowledge, I was confident of the find. Thankfully, it was early, so only a few people about, but it easier on a bike sometimes, as you can just look like you are resting. From Google Maps, I started at the wrong place, but followed my phone to where I was within a few metres. Looked at one thing and dismissed it before returning...and soon had this brilliant cache in hand.
Thanks for this challenging and very clever hide, 80degrees. Another favourite from me.

I am not sure why I have never looked for this cache before, maybe because it used to be a not very nice part of the city, particularly at night, but with a 24 hour gym and lots of stores it's soooo much better. [^] With only a few days to go to obtain the Cache Carnival souvenirs I thought that I had better get a move on and find some caches with lots of favourite points and this cache more than fitted the bill with its 200+ faves. When I noticed who the CO was I knew it would be a clever hide.
Tonight I had played table tennis at MSAC and being hyped up after my team's close win I decided to look for this cache on my way home. I parked across the road in Queen St and wandered over to GZ. There were still lots of muggles passing GZ despite being very late at night. My GPSr couldn't get a grip on GZ but luckily I had looked at Google maps so I had a slight idea where the cache was located. I walked slowly past a few of the stores and soon noticed something out-of-place, especially as it was a similar style of hide I had seen the CO use on some other of their hides. I retrieved the cache between groups of muggles and signed the log at 11:05 pm. TNLN. I then returned the cache to its hiding spot when the coast was clear.
Thanks 80degrees for the very clever cache in such a busy spot. An ingenious and bold hide in the heart of the city so this cache gets a fave from me too.

Finished work early for the day and decided to swing past to see if I could find this cache. Having seen containers like this before, I was quickly able to grab and sign. TFTC
Arrived at GZ and had a look around. I thought with darkness i would be hunt a bit easier, but i think this is one of those caches that you better looking for in peak hour!
Reading previous logs didn't help much except that it was an ingenious hide. I slowly walked along running my fingers along things before something got my attention, and would you believe it was the cache!
Considering the hide and that it was nighttime, i was really surprised i found it!
Thanks 80degrees for a great cache!
Will give a favourite!

On our Melbourne Cache Saturday, "banana" @Nongon and I had a long trip through the city, and geocaches provided a nice means to turn this way or that way and reach corners we did not plan to got to. Really nice! Now, Banana Alley is not necessary an alley with a low chance of being passed by, but having a cache there increased our wish to go there.
We were already at the more or less right spot, when our GPS inidicated that it might be in the other side, which made us make a detour, as we came from there. Once we were standing closer to the river again, we saw that it was indeed wring this time, so agin we marched to the more busy area.
The location then struck my eye more or less immediately, also having been prepared by some older logs. The cache was gladly enough not "hard to get", and we managed to receive it without any additional tools. We could sign it on a bench nearby and we guess and hope that we were stealthy enough
Thank you very much for putting a cache on such a crowded place, which is still relatively easy to get!

After some difficulties of finding the right side to look for the cache, we could log this very special container, [@astoneee](http://coord.info/PR4ZE0A) spotted almost immediately when passing by. Perfect spot! TFTC!
TFTC. Went past this cache earlier without luck. Took my geo hubby and he spotted the anomaly quite easily after looking at the hint. Thanks for the clever creative cache.
Geocaching in Australia with Kirss. Very nice hiding. Found after some searching. TFTC. Greetings from Finland.
Sneaky little hide but soon spotted by sharp-eyed Cath. Thanks for placing and have a fav point for being so sneaky
I knew had spent many weekends at the Sugar Shack when it was located within the Banana Alleys. The venue was never designed for tall people with the piped curving walls, but it was soo enjoyable.
Second visit to this location looking for this cache and I was here during this morning's peak hour. While standing waiting for a quiet time, as if that was going to happen, I saw something that needed some investigation and discovered the cache. What a great hide. Certainly not going to be accidental discovered and certainly a favourite.
Thanks for the cache 80 Degrees

There you go. I wasn't expecting to be able to find this one in the middle of the morning peak hour, but big city anonymity makes anything possible. TFTC
Phew! we're a large family group and caching in the city for the first time is proving to be a challenge!
We wandered around GZ aimlessly for a bit when miss 9 spotted something out of place. I agreed for different reasons, and after a quick bit of fiddling we had the cache in hand and wandered off to log.
We really loved this cache, and a great first find for the day. Thanks a bunch!

I've just arrived yesterday evening from Bordeaux, in France. I'm with my husband for 4 days in Melbourne, for his job, then back to France. I absolument wanted to find some geocaches. It's done, I'm happy. The cache is the third one.
I searched for about 15 minutes, I had the good idea but I didn't look at the good place. TFTC

Took me 2 mins to spot it as I had one similar back at home (but not as crafted as this one).
Well done and deserves a FP

Found today after a short walk from Flinders st station. As I was scouting GZ and waiting for my GPS to settle, the cache happened to be the first this I put my hand on, thought I’d give it a try and to my surprise I had it located. A sneaky little hide nonetheless, to a passing muggle this would never be noticed. TFTC & Thanks for the history too!
Tried on our visit this time last year without any luck but thought we'd have another go and found it this time. Great hide and container. Tftc
Found together with tenavatli and Pummel08. It took us a while but then the hint suddenly made sense. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Swiss cachers.
This is the kind of cache I'd normally spend hours looking for. I must be getting more experienced! Tftc
A really nice find in the soft Melbourne night, I really like this kind of caches TFTC!
Yeah
This one was pretty cool
Didn't have my phone on me today so had to print out the map, logs and hint.
Brilliant cache and I got to be the first person to sign the new log for 2019.
If you're not a geocacher, you wouldn't think of spotting this one.
Loved it.

I was here having a good scour around the other day with no luck, so as a first stop today, it seemed a fitting place to start on my city sojourns with a possible German convert around midday.
We went in circles for a good fifteen odd minutes before the penny finally dropped.
Awesome urban hide. Log is totally full.

Melbourne Day 1: CBD and South Yarra - Prahran.
Flew in to Melbourne from Auckland for one last hurrah on this caching holiday, and got in nice and early this morning. Took a walk around the city while waiting for check in at the hotel and got a few caches along the way. Once I could check in, I took a short break and headed out again in the evening to get a few more. All good and nice in the city today, and picked up a nice number of caches too. Thanks for all the caches!

This year, for the second time of my life, I travelled on holiday to Australia. The last tour has been in 1995, but this time something was a little different. For the first time I didn’t travel in a group, this was my first tour, were I was totally alone. I had booked the flights to Brisbane and from Adelaide and for the three weeks in between I rented a very small campervan, in which I could sleep and was able to do a little cooking. For me, this was enough.
In three weeks I was able to drive more than 5000 kilometres and could find around 90 caches, including all of the Australian caches from 2000. To finish the Jasmer Challenge was the other thing I wanted to do. There was only one month open and this was October 2000. With two different caches from this month in the country I could finish the challenge and in the end I visited them both. The best thing is: I didn’t need a cache of the USA to complete my Jasmer.
----------
First the hint showed me a totally different direction. I sat there for a while trying to figure out the hiding place. In the end I was able to locate the Cache. Signed it and put it back in place.

After caching for most of the day in Geelong solo I swung by the city to meet up with AlphaDeltaIndigo for a couple of city based caches. We had spoken about this particular cache some months prior and thought we'd find it together at some point.
That day was my birthday, today! Seeing as how I'd wandered around here once prior extensively searching and indeed finding the cache but not recognising it for what it was this was a very quick find with me placing my hands on it immediately.
Thankfully the area was pretty much muggle free so we just did the duties and replaced without having to move off. I think this cache is deserving of a favourite point for the camo and boldness of the hide.

Find number 4505. Day 9 of my Melbourne trip. Just finishing off a few city caches before heading home tomorrow. This one had me going for a while before I got it right. Thank you for the placement.
Erin1405 and I did a round trip from Alice Springs down South along the coast and ended up in Sydney. We had a marvellous time on this amazing continent viewing a lot of new and beautiful impressions. Of course we searched and found some caches, just like this one. Thanks a lot and many greetings from Germany.
I found this cache together with B.F.Pierce during our wonderful vacation in Australia. We drove four weeks with a camper van through this amazing country from Alice Springs to Sydney. We enjoyed the great people, wildlife and countryside so much. Thank you for the great cache! Best regards from Germany!
After an early morning event, we travelled into the city by tram to find a few caches here.
Being in a group you sometimes just go with the flow and follow everyone else and not necessarily read the description for the caches.
Its only while logging this one that I now understand what the row of shops and business here are housed in. Very interesting location and some of these businesses are not very big due to the size of the individual spaces.
Cache was quickly found, nicely hidden in plain sight. SL then returned as found.
A favourite point from me.

Melbourne Day last day spending time in the city.
Very sneeky hide , worth a FP
As I was travelling into the city on the tram I noticed Snickers Allen & patrol 17 on the tram also. We decided that we would join up & wander the banks of the Yarra finding caches that were close by.
Found numerous caches types & an assortment of sizes in some great locations.
Thanks for placing this cache 80degrees

Thanks for placing this cache 80degrees
**This was 1 of 23 caches that was found by me on the 5th of 16 caching days here in Australia. Which also was the 42nd of 75 days that my travels thru southeast Asia and Oceania would last.**
Here we found an legal parking across the street. So all 4 of us could engage in the search . Which was necessary as it took like 10-15 minutes of walking around before the container was found. But me.
*Together with Ingabo, jsson and Sivun I would spend 16 days in Australia. Our journey started in Melbourne and ended in Sydney. After that I continued to New Zealand while the others headed back towards Melbourne.*
*All in all I did manage to find 263 caches, 9 types, 3 new months and many more statistical fillers.*

We, (jsson, peter-tvm, Sivun and myself) went mainly for caches with more favourite points in Melbourne today. We logged as IJPS or with our individual nicks.
Peter-tvm was the lucky finder here.
Thanks for placing a cache for me to enjoy and find.
