I have decided to archive this one. It does not get a lot of visitors and some people (including the CO!) have become disorientated when descending the hill. In two cases the finders barely made it back to their vehicles before dark. In view of that I have decided to archive rather than ask for another cacher to take it over.

02-Jan-16
I noticed that this cache has been temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com.

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we cannot do so forever.

Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

If there is a valid long term problem then a note on the cache will be required every 28 days to keep the listing inactive or it will be archived as an abandoned cache without further notice.

What a climb up this hill! But worth it Smile

Holy moly what a place! Cant imagine the hours put into this bike extreme riding track. We nearly didnt want do this one as a car was in parking area smoking and we had bikes connected to the back and didnt want them stolen. We did it anyway as quick as we could. Nice large cache.

CO cache handles are breaking from sun damage. 1 already broken.
Unfortunately need container is needed.
Glad no kids have found this. May also need a note stating what the game is about Smile.
Thanks for brining me here. Will be telling my bike mates about this place!

Found @4:10:00 PM.

I would never ride a bike down these hills and jumps. You have got to be crazy.
An easy find. this was one of many today as part of our Unique D/T attempt.

Thanks to bristracker for the cache

11-Jun-14
I was targeting certain caches on my way home today. Larger size containers and this fitted the bill.

WOW!!!! What an awesome bike track. Some serious work been done here by the local riders. I think it took me almost an hour to find this cache as I wandered round checking out the huge doubles, hip jumps, drops, wall rides and berms. Absolutely fantastic. Sadly way beyond both me and my bike. One of the double jumps is at least 10m!!!!

A nice quick find once I actually bothered to look for the cache Smile

Favourie point for the track Very Happy

25-Feb-14
This is one I have looked at many times but never got to it.Today I figured I had time, bit of puffing and panting on the way up,but I'VE climbed steeper. There is some pretty radical motor bike jumps.Enjoyed this one, think I'll give it my favorite point for the day.TFTC.

Out and about today after a Saturday shift at work. Big Grin
This cache was on my hit list today. Big Grin
Parked the car and followed the 'track' up the hill almost straight to the cache. Big Grin
A quick find as it was uncovered...It is now well covered over. Smile
Thanks for the cache.

Great cache nice walk to get there dropped off TB Smile

27-Jan-14
Well this is a very interesting piece of bushland. The construction of the bike tracks in impressive...no doubt you could have some fun out here with the right machinery! It is a bit of hike to this cache...but I love the exercise and the adventure to boot! Great cache, thanks for bringing me here bristracker! Smile

06-Jan-14
My last morning in Qld before heading back home to Perth, so an early morning start was in order to discover some more caches around Nerang. This was number 6. I was completely unprepared for the descent down the track to the cache. With my tennis shoes on, every step felt like the one that cause to slip down the hill. The shoes held on, but only just. I actually enjoyed the trip back up more as it gave me a good workout of my calves. Tftc

19-Sep-13
On my final day of my Queensland caching trip I was able to grab a final 39 caches for the day. Had a great day with a few hard finds and a few walks. Thanks to all the CO's for their placements, and I apologise for the generic logs but I'm so far behind in my logging. Thanks heaps. What an awesome walk.

15-Sep-13
Found with Poynts95 and Sportacuss. Out and about on the Gold Coast for this run. Caching primarily West of the Motorway, we had the chance to pick up some solved puzzles and a couple of dozen other caches. A good day, with lunch in a plesant park. Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches and appologies for the late logs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was a fantastic walk. I have to say, dispite the warnings, would have done this at night if I had to. Have done far worse at night, terrain wise. Anyway, we all had fun, and found the cache no problem. TFTC, a fav from me.

I parked at the end of the road, jumped the fence and headed up to GZ. On the way I passed some crazy big mountain bike jumps but little did I know they where nothing compared to whats further up the hill. A short uphill climb and soon found a likely fallen tree with a hidden cache close by. Added my name to the log book and dropped in Crocodile Tears TB. Its good to see a larger container for a change thanks bristracker for a great cache and location.
I took off up hill to Nottinghamers The Outlook. Such a great walk and you get to see alot more mountain bike trails and jumps. Those guys are crazy, they put so much work into it.

26-May-13
Enjoyed the short walk up the hill. Surprised to be the first finder this year. Pleased to report that the cache is all dry and in good condition. Rescued a TB that has been languishing here since Boxing Day.
The cycle track was busy this afternoon so I took the 4wd track and descended on the cache from above. The kids have done some amazing work on their track and were getting up to some top speeds. What fun I could have if I was 40 years younger.
Thanks for the exercise and enjoyable walk and TFTC.

26-Dec-12
What a track! I would have loved to see it in use, standing well out of the way of course.
TB listed was not in cache. I dropped one in anyway. TFTC.

12-Dec-12
Nice mountain bike track not sure however if I would tackle that one myself but on with finding the cache and getting that log book signed TFTC

12-Dec-12
We arrived here not knowing what to expect... wow, some rough terrain.... and then we discovered the mountain bike trails.... oh wow wow wow!! those guys are crazy.

Found GZ easy enough.

Great spot, thanks BT.

Dropped in a TB

27-Oct-12
Out for an afternoon caching working towards our 700th cache.

We have done all the caches around our area so I had to travel to get a good group together.

My 5th Bristracker today but I'm fast running out of time so I will be coming back another day to finish off this area.

After a few park and grabs I suppose I shouldn't complain about a bush walk which I love as well, normally.

Today was quite hot so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been.

I decided to take the direct route to GZ which even though shorter was a mistake. On my descent I choose the zig zag path.

Thanks Bristracker TFTC SL TNLN

What a great spot! We headed in here today with Captain Terror, and didn't notice the terrain rating at first. We soon realised what we were in for, and the walk up was a lot of fun, and well worth the terrain rating Big Grin A great spot in here, and although it is very steep, we still managed to have some fun along the tracks Big Grin

11-Aug-12
When Gaz'n'Kab and I got to the parking area for this one, we noticed the track direct up the small hill, and so Gazn and myself decided that'd be a good start to this walk. As we walked along from there we were in amazement at this hectic downhill course. Again we found ourselves debating if one's life would be worth the thrill of undertaking such an activity. Would be a hoot just to see it done I think. It was a fair jaunt to GZ along said track which is undergoing repairs. The GPS counted down the last few metres and I spotted the cache out in the open. We signed the log and rehid a lot better, now it lies in a rocky tomb. So back along the track and a bit more wondering how far up the hill it comes from. I'll also add we had to explain the relevance of the park name to the cache name to the slow Kab Razz TFTC Bristracker Smile

26-Jul-12
One hell of a walk took the long way round!! Lol but once found the walk back sucked! All up hill!

26-Jul-12
A fun one to find. Great views. Great hike.

25-Jul-12
Awesome surroundings, looks like a lot of work went into developing the area. Really great walk since we walked straight down from a nearby cache. Thanks for this great cache Smile (THB)

26-May-12
Boy would I love to watch the action when this track is in use. Must be a rich source of business for the local medical facilities. Just getting to GZ was tricky enough. Cache was very exposed, so after looking though the swaps, I signed the log and took a bit of time to recover the box. To a cacher, it's still obvious, but hopefully a chance find is more remote now.

20-Apr-12
OMG, boy did we regret starting this once we got half way there. The cache itself was very exposed - though no one has visited since January.. TFTC - found with kadin92. Very large container too..

19-Jan-12
Prepared with water and having waypointed our parking, we set off to GZ. We took our time and carefully made our way up, and were rewarded with a cache and some great views too! Thanks bristracker for the cache.

19-Dec-11
Fantastic. Hide. Geoboy (dare devil) bought bike - he even said no way! Look at the wooden jumps - how insane! Geomum was VERY relieved! TFTC

07-Sep-11
Bristrackers comments re accessability is good info. We noticed that the area is now part of a downhill bike riding course but we were fortunate not to encounter any riders today. Our GPS was giving eroneous readings , due to imminent battery failure, but we managed to locate the cache before it failed completely. TFTC

WOW realy enjoyed the wander into this one, T 2 x Trackable L guide dog keyring and monkey TFTC

After a bit of a hike along some bike trails with amazing structures cache was soon to hand...

Gunnie69 & I had commented early (@ Go the Maroons!!) about the commitment of the BMX bikers - well they have nothing on those who have built these tracks..Surprised

Major structural edifices, as well as heaped earth based jumps form part of what can only be described as an EXTREME motocross track built here - some of it will have required earth moving equipment to complete.. - a place looking for (& probably counting down to) a serious incident/accident..

As Gunnie69 mentioned there is a certain amount of insanity involved here....
But then again I guess this is better than indulging in the more usual vandalism activities one sees around Smile

Dropped off Celtic Clover 2011 Geocoin...

Thanks bristracker for the cache

24-Jul-11
Well, what an area this one has been tucked away in. Kaisho53 and i were commenting on the mental stability of the individuals who make use of the man made structures along the path. Sure as hell I wouldn’t be availing myself of these sorts of adrenalin rushess... Surprised

We walked up and up and up till we only had one option – YEP – to go up again. A likely hiding spot was found and the cache revealed. A good opportunity for a rest. This was not our first hill climb today... [xx(]

After business was done, we headed back to only to see a muggle lining up on one of the ramps. Hmm, I don’t wanna be around when he stacks so, best get a wriggle on...

As we got to the bottom, I could hear high revving motorbikes on the road ahead. Naturally, we waited outside the car so when they came over the hill, they saw us awaiting their arrival. They were not sure what to do but shut their bikes down about 5m away and sat staring at each other... One mutters, “the signs don’t say anything about no motorbikes”... But, they were not budging until we moved off. As I said, “mental instability”...

The cache name intrigued me. Wonder where it came from unless it is aligned to my description about the individuals who linger around these parts... Wink

Cheers Bristracker.

Oops, forgot to mention I dropped a TB. Here it is... [^]

Well done to minigriff who tackled this one in his first week of geocaching.

hi bristracker done two of your caches good hiding spot very hot saw no down hill bikes. tftc

02-Jul-11
Found with TassieGirl, we enjoyed the short walk in here through gullies, over rocks and up and down hills.
Cache was located and all was ok with it.
Another little area we never knew about.

12-Jun-11
Great cache placement. The cache it self was very exposed and we gave it a bit more cover when replaced it. While returning to the car we were almost run down by a couple of BMX riders. Walking down the midle of the track is not recomended. We spoke to the riders later after their second run. They mentioned jumping over the geodog. Looks like their sport is almost as much fun as geocaching.
Thanks for the great cache bristracker

12-Jun-11
Stairman1, geodog and I trudged through the mud to get to this one. What an impressive bmx track. After crossing the track we found the cache container nice and dry. We signed the log and left a frog to hide. On the way down we were crossing the track again when we almost got run over by 2 bmx riders in the rain. Geodog just escaped death as the bmx rider zoomed right over his head Surprised. These boys are crazy but boy does it look fun Smile. TFTC

Second international find! Got to end of road then read the logs. Had a laugh as we are with a 5 and 6 year old. Decided to give it a whirl despite all the doom and gloom in the logs and wandered around mostly bushbashing and watching out for snakes. GPS lead me astray and ended up back tracking up the BMX track for a while but soon found. Took a lizard, a car and an Aussie flag for me! Left a bunch of NZ badges and plastic bugs. Yougest was by this time complaining about the heat and steepness of the climb but this soon evaporated when we spied about 8 kangaroo on the way back to the car! BONUS! TFTC! Glad I wasn't up hgere in the dark!

20-Feb-11
I have updated attributes after reading Fangsolki's log. I do not want to have a death on my hands LOL.
This is not meant as a night cache, you need suitable footwear, and it is a climb up a rough track.

19-Feb-11
Geez bristracker, if you wanted to do away with me - you could just use a gun or something. No need to go to the trouble of putting a cache on a steep mountain or anything Razz

I made my way up to GZ slowly. Man, that is some rocky terrain! I am really glad to see the terrain rating on this one is pretty spot on. I finally wheezed myself to GZ and collapsed. Found the cache safe and sound in its home. It is in excellent condition. Grabbed the TB. A nice view indeed up here. The trip back down was less painful - but precarious. TFTC bristracker Smile

07-Feb-11
Found with Bedmaker today. We enjoyed the little walk through this area that I never knew was here.
Many thanks for bringing us here bristracker!

24-Jan-11
What can I say about the bike track with all the jumps and steep descents. Just looking at them as I struggled up the hills made me quite Kirribilleous! Big Grin
No swaps today, but left a RAV4 Travel Bug - you'd need a 4wd to get up to the cache!
Thanks bristracker for showing me this new little playground. I shan't be bringing the bicycle back, though.Smile

01-Jan-11
Ended up walking a lot further up than we needed, should have kept a better eye on the gps. Loved the walk. Thanks Bristracker!!

07-Nov-10
Wow! them are some mean jumps.

Work is still in progress as there was a shovel and saw lying on the ground on one of the new banked turns.

Luckily the owners were not around as I scrambled around the track. I had taken the most difficult route in and had some serious bush climbing to do to get to the cache.

After signing the log and leaving nothing (as I didn't have my pack with me) I discovered a nearby track which led back down but then took the wrong turn at the bottom and had a bit of a wander around before I located the car (should have marked it on the GPS). Passed a couple of youngsters on the track near the car but I think they were too young to be the architects of the ramps.

Thanks, bristracker, for an interesting experience.

03-Sep-10
Wow!! Cool BMX track... looks like a world of pain if you don't hit the jumps properly. (I did it on foot)

It's been two weeks since we voted and we still have no definite future PM. I know that one of the prospective candidates would give the track a go on his bike.

TFTC Bristracker. Took Marge and left a lizard.

While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

30-Aug-10
Wow! Gotta come back here when there's some bikes on action! Recon they need a bucket at the top where you can leave your brain before the descent!!! Having said that, many years ago I probably would have been first in line. Sadly broken bones, worn out joints and a tad more common sense would prevail these days. Enjoyed the scramble up to GZ and yet another area I didn't know existed. BIG cache, BIG container...! TFTC Bristracker!

23-Aug-10
little bit of a walk..beware of motorbikes!! TFTC Smile

23-Aug-10
Some people do really stupid stuff on bikes, just look around here, on the way to the cache.......TFTC bristracker

23-Aug-10
Well glad someone else had as much trouble as I did in finding my way back down the hill. I wanted to make this a cache worthy of Herbz and really did not expect Aussie Liahona to attempt it but should have known better. I had enough trouble in the dusk and do NOT recommend this for a night cache. Well done Aussie Liahona.

22-Aug-10
Big Grin FTF Big Grin At 9:15pm. This was a nightmare in the dark. We went as straight up as we could to make the journey as quick as possible. That meant we were tramping through grass, over stones, fallen trees, through clumps of trees. We got poked, tripped, stumbled, scratched, slipped, and scrambled. It was surely the hard way to go. All this with very painful but-tocks (as Forrest Gump would say) after falling off the high end of a zip line yesterday when I thought I was younger, stronger, and lighter than I really am. Geohubby said it was probably good for me because it would get the blood circulating to help heal. Sitting and standing is extremely painful, but walk I could manage, so up we went. It was probably 150m to the cache but I'm sure we walked more like 300m in the end as we worked out where we were going in the dark. Found the cache very well hidden (we consider we were lucky to find it) and were amazed at how well stocked this large themed cache container was. GREAT JOB with the cache Bristracker. We consider this one that is well placed in a great location. Made a trade and now all we had to do was find the car. We decided to go down the 'track' and ended up in quite the wrong place. So going back to the car was even longer after we got lost and then refound ourselves in the dark. Woo! Phew! Made it back to the car!!
Took: Prime Minister's grooming pack - thank you very much. A very nice FTF gift.
Left: I love (heart) geocaching pin. (Sorry - I wanted to put in trackables)
