I think all the information boards in the area must have had an update because like the nearby multi, the answers to the questions were not apparent on the board.
I initially made an error in the coords. A correction seemed more plausible but I did not find the cache. The T2.5 suggests I was in the wrong place on the second go too.
Found a small item which fitted the description of Phronimos' donation of cache cover, but no cache under it. I agree with his comments concerning a checksum, especially when for me getting here involves a long journey on public transport and I recently had similar difficulties at another multi which proved to be missing.
In this case after double checking I am reasonably confident that I solved it correctly.

On second thoughts not so sure I was in the correct place as the terrain I was looking at was lower than 2.5 and some of the comments in previous logs don't see to tie up with it.
Another beautiful almost-Spring day to explore Kāpiti by caching! Found this one quickly. TFTC
Enjoyed a walk in this neck of the woods this morning and picked up two caches along the way. This was one of them. With the required answers in hand we trundled back the way we had come and made a quick find of the hide. #3439. TFTC.
A quick solve & find while in the area. Are those devices for counting ducks paddling under them?! TFTC bkj97!
Woohoo Got it! I would've got it yesterday but wasn't expecting it to be buried.
Thank you to the CO for checking. He cheekily asked if I had a bit of concrete could I recover the cache as per the hint. I said "I don't carry spare bits of concrete around in my caravan!" But wouldn't you know it I found a chunk at a previous cache today, so carried it back to my car and have accordingly used it for the purpose asked of me.
With this geocache find I have completed my Hidden date grid. That is a huge relief. TFTC Have a FP.

Nice to see it has been found and re concreted. . Sandy areas have a habit of getting more than leaf litter overlaying containers.
Wow! How hard is it to complete my **Finds by hidden date** grid?
The very last date I need is 21 August, any year. Couldn't get to it in Marlborough/Picton. Three here in Kapiti and **three DNFs**
Not a good day
This cache could benefit from a checksum IMHO. When one can't find a cache, I tend to blame my own derivation of the coordinates or poor looking, rather than *it might actually not be there*. A checksum halves the possibility of error. Small thing to ask.

I knew I would be out and about around Kapiti this evening, so I decided to target some caches that I had previously failed to find in the hope of having more success this time around.
When I was last here 3 months ago, I managed to work out the co-ords to this nicely laid out Multi quite easily, although I could not find the cache itself. Some correspondence between the CO and myself resulted my being advised that I was certainly in the correct final location but that the cache had been partially buried. Today I was able to make a quick find, although I have to advise that the piece of concrete is no longer there.
All is fine with the container and contents. I felt a little conspicuous opening the cache where I found it but I was lucky enough to have the whole area to myself in order to be able to sign the log and then replace everything as found in my own good time.
Thanks for the cache.

I came up the coast today to boost my numbers for September.
The second of the two multis that I failed to get a couple of years ago. As I noted that the clues had changes I set about resolving. One of the clues is open to interpretation if you overthink it (ending up in a location too far away from any path), but just work with what you can see. I headed over to GZ and found the cache pretty quickly. All good here. TFTC

After a day in the office I needed an evening walk. After grabbing the new Estuary ramble cache I sorted out some coords for this multi and soon had cache in hand. Thanks for the well worked multi and thanks for the cache.
Had to move the biggest spider I’ve ever seen in NZ to get it, for our first ever cache. Exciting!
#6563. I was up on the Kapiti coast this weekend as I had some visitors over from Norway and they were keen to see the wonderful birdlife on Kapiti Island and learn more about the conservation successes on the island. So we did an overnight trip (1 kiwi seen) but opted to come off on one of the earlier boat trips as we had done what we needed to do on Saturday. So had a few extra hours on hand and decided to use them by doing a few multi caches. Lovely fine, sunny and hot day up here on the retirement coast. Parked near the scientific reserve and gathered information from the signboard. Slowly gathered the necessary information and plugged in the coordinates. Then it was off to the GZ. The hint was very helpful as muggles were around so needed to be stealthy. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks bkj97 for another informative multi.
Gz compromised so relocated nearby. Clues will need reworking. Will attend to this asap.
Puzzle was easy but didn't find cache, lots of potential hiding spots here but no luck for me today, no sign of hint item
No luck for me either, lots of litter in the area, hope the cache isn't under all of it.
Fairly sure I was at the right location but only found the old bottles mentioned in early 2015. Nice spot.
Found on my third attempt looking for it. My phone GPS jumped a bit all over the place. Cache in good condition! TFTC
Had to keep stopping to admire the view as there were a lot of muggles jogging. But a nice view! Good hide - I almost gave up when I found it
These two multis have been bugging me for a while, so finally set off to find them. Solved this one first, easy puzzle, then headed in the right direction to the cache site. A quick search found me the cache-mostly because the previous finder did not hide properly and cache was visible from path. Took nothing, left nothing and hid well back in it's place. A lovely day for caching! TFTC.
Counting and working out the co-ordinates were very easy, so we got a plausible gz. After searching a little bit we could log the cache.
Thanks for hiding!
Thanks for hiding!
Nice find on a windy day walking the beach. Cache all dry and in good condition. TFTC
Cache # 2,360 - I solved the coordinates for this a week ago and picked it up today while in the area. Another nice multi. Took a little while at the GZ as there was a hint object that turned out not to be. Swapped trackables. TFTC!
Collecting a few more Kapiti caches with tmann421 today.
Enjoyed visiting this area. Easy solve and final located quickly. TFTC bkj97

Relatively easy find, Multi's are definately my favourite type of cache! Found with Hamish.D
Indeed the snails had been dining out (or is that in?) Thanks to tipsytui for the heads up. New log in place inside a pill container in the larger container. Will photograph the snails menu when it dries out.
Found while caching with Mr. T. A bit tricky to find this one, a bit of searching in the undergrowth was required. However, what a lovely sunny winter's day! We took advantage of a nearby bench to sit in the sun and enjoy the view. Tftc.
Log is very damp and partially eaten by snails! Could do with drying out or replacing.
We went for a brisk walk in a cold southerly to find this. Questions quickly answered but took a bit of searching at the GZ to locate the well hidden cache. Unfortunately the lid had not been fastened and cache container had become home to a dozen snails who have been dining on the log book. Evicted the snails and cleaned out heaps of snail poo. Took maxb TB to move along. Tftc!
Enjoyed walking in the area and the views are magnificent. Container nice and dry and well hidden so dropped off 'maxb' tb. Tftc
Can't believe how many geocaches we have passed and not realized. Thanks for the hunt, had the bf on his hands and knees doing the dirty work. He enjoyed the teck deck in the cache too
Good size cache! Thank you . There was an elderly muggle there with his dog so I explained to him what I was doing and he is going to mention geocaching to his daughter. Picked up Tiki Tour travel bug. TFTC!
Find #1590. Out on another cycle-caching sortie on a reasonably nice day with the odd shower and cool winds from the south. The questions were easy and as always with this type of multi, you learn something along the way. Worked out the final and cycled back the way I'd come but then had to wait out a fellow cyclist who decided to take a rest on the adjacent seat. Oh well, it was time for lunch. Cache well hidden and with resident cockroaches in the clips. SL TFTC
Neat little multi. Found with Mel0n while up here for the weekend avoiding power cuts at our place.
Out early in the morning before work appointments got in the way of caching and soon had this one in hand, plenty of dog walkers around at this time and a very nice spot has been created here

Quick find after a slight false start with the wrong information board! Luckily we read the note regarding which side of the track the board was on and knowing the area. TFTC
This was our last cache in the area before visiting family who live nearby.
Hadn't been here before, a pleasant walk and interesting info. Enjoyed the final area as well.
Thanks for bringing me here.

#4563. Soon had the coords. Cache was well hidden; I managed to cut myself on some cutty grass while searching for it. TFTC.
A nicely compiled multi. Netty and I enjoyed reading the information to arrive at the required answers and then the nice walk. It took me two looks in the right spot at GZ before I found what I was seeking.
Another interesting information board in this interesting area, and a quick easy find. TFTC
Another multi we were pleased to finally delete from the GPS. Never seem to have time for multi's, but knocked off a few today.
Lovely area too!
Left a pet rock - an orca. TFTC

enjoyed this series of caches in the area we're caravaning in. The first we managed to find successfully. In and Out TBs
The coordinates information was soon gathered followed by a quick find at the final. Thanks for the interesting information and a nice location for a stroll.

What a great area, really enjoying exploring the paths. Good to have a multi that causes this to happen too! Interesting info boards. TFTC
Here for an orienteering event nearby. Yet another pleasant reserve in Waikanae visited and the cache found without any problems. Took ingot TB. Thanks bkj97, your booklet from the "Assemblage de College Paraparaumu" event is still proving to be very useful.
Checked out today and all is in order but hint amended as the cache has moved to the north side of the stump.
Got to GZ but was reading the wrong Paper work after same time work out i had the wrong paper work find the rigth set of paper work and had cache in hand signing log book TFTC # 0809

#605. Another interesting set of questions. I like your style bkj97 - get the cacher to take the time to read the info before giving up the cache. A quick find at GZ, SL, TFTC. +tb
Solved earlier today, but due to muggle activity, returned this evening for the find. Took TB.
TFTC SL.

Visited the Waikanae Estuary Scientific Reserve, enjoyed reading the info boards and answering the questions to get the final co-ords. Nice easy find of the final. Thanks.

Another good fun multi-cache. Very pleasant area and nice place for the cache. SL TFTC
Thought I had the wrong co-ords first, but found cache no troubles.
Cheers,
