I now have a particular set of clothing I have deemed my "Rodz" Caching gear. Tried this one impromptu the other evening, but was in decent clothes and with the mud, rain and darkness falling skipped it once I guessed where it would be. Came better prepared today (read worse dressed) and sure enough I spotted it straight away today and sure enough I had made the correct choice of gear to wear. Only got the hint after I had seen the cache and had a good giggle. Once the grab was made commando style I was surprised to find nothing in it?! Im sure Rodz had just replaced it?! I instantly thought it must be a cruel decoy and there is another cache hidden in a much easier but less obvious spot nearby... but fortunately I had picked up Rodz mobile number off a Church Mirco yesterday "just in case" ... turns out that was well fortunate as a text confirmed I had found the cache (though have probably now given Rodz yet another evil idea... like he needs them ) and he must have been having a blonde moment when he replaced it the other day and forgot the log sheet. Not having any paper on me I popped off to "Wharncliffe Viaduct" around the corner and 'borrowed' a few blank pages of it's generous log book, labeled, signed, then replaced the cache on my way home.
Another mini-WTF adventure done. Cheers from Australia!
PS - There is a really good bit of rope washed up on the bank at GZ... clean, long and in good nick by the looks of it. Probably off a boat. No good for climbing but perhaps handy

WTF: FTF ? Not while you're in Scotland... was transferred from terminalsump to user rodz
Hmmm shoulda gone earlier and might have bumped into the man himself! Truth is I wasnt planning on a WTF today... I was meant to be heading to my sisters in Islington and would cache over there. But this evening my van had other ideas and wouldnt start... damn battery is dead. So instead, in the pouring rain, at 9pm I had to walk a few km's to grab the next closest WTF for the streak. Im pretty sure I know where this one is, but knowing a Rodz 2.5T means getting dirty I was not exactly dressed for the mud and slippery conditions and let this one be for another day. Up the trail then for an easier grab in the rain and failing light.
05.15am. i had parked in the same place by the church for another cache here where the blind led the one who could see, the path down was a bit slippy and a bit muddy, not seen much of that lately,so soon at gz for a very long search thinking Rodz would not put it where i have been looking,so i went the short distance back to the car for extra stuff, then read the logs on my i phone, that sounds grand if only you knew.all the time i was here even at this hour, four different muggles passed, lots of good mornings etc. then it was start a better search that soon revealed the location of this prize, so some calculating, rub my eyes and calculate again.then it was time for stuff to be used and what do you know i have a cache in my hand, yet another great cache on this series,so i was well pleased to be signing this good one.on the short way back to the car i met a dog muggle with two black scotties, now that must be a sign of a good well organised cache. thank you,sltn.patandjeff=bones1.

[9/28] - Out caching with Asfastasfcuk around London today. Whilst we did enjoy the caches (and it was great to meet Rodz) there was part of us that just wasn't in the right frame of mind for urban caching. Consequently it wasn't a big numbers day for us. TFTC

We knew the location of the cache, as we previously did the now-archived 'fire'-cache by terminalsump. This time, we approached the spot from a different direction. Bad choice. We found ourselves on a golf course, and although it is a late autumn, there were some enthusiasts practicing. They were definitely not amused observing our erratic movements across the green. But finally we made it to GZ. Of course, we did not expect it to be a straightforward find, but checked the obvious places first, just to be sure. We then figured out a potential hiding place, performed the required movements and retrieved the container.
A very pleasant cache, not too difficult as to be frustrating but challenging enough to bring the feeling of accomplishment.

Yay, my first FTF on one of my own caches!
The heavy rain meant that it probably wasn't worth rushing out for this even though I knew where it would be. I hadn't really planned to do it this morning either but a spot of supervision nearby tempted me to attempt it. It started raining so I was glad to get under shelter and stay dry ...well, most of me anyway. A quicker find that I expected. Nice one - thanks. That was the easy part of the day's outing. Next stop was an exploration of a potential nearby cache place for Terminalsump which involved a visit to the Han Well, which turned out to be on private property. After being rumbled I skulked off glad that the boys in blue weren't involved. Interesting place that gave its name to Hanwell and a shame that it isn't accessible to the public.
