Couldn't find it today. Didn't know this shelter was here so great to find it. But to many prickly bushes, needles and broken bottles to look far. TNLNSL
Too many broken bottles, prickly bushes, syringes.syringes. .love the history though .thanks anyway
.
.
We have loved surprising our fellow geocachers with this historic bomb shelter, but it is most upsetting to hear that the area is filled with broken bottles & syringes
Please if you are reading this, always carry a plastic bottle with you to remove any needles that you find out on the trails! It may just prevent the next hunter from injuring themselves
Be careful out there & happy hunting, J&J.

We are staying at the scout camp with a group of Highway Wanderers CMCA members and took the opportunity to find some caches this afternoon. A few distant muggles but nobody looking. TFTC
Another stop on the way home from Montville to Northern Rivers in NSW.
A petrol stop was made and Purple checked the geo app and guess what a cache was only 167 metres away so after all the 'refuelling/refreshing' things one does at a servo, we set off.
Two things are odd here to Purple and Darkness: trains (we have none) and a bomb shelter looking 'building' - so off we go to GZ but wow how busy was this place today - we played subterfuge games and eventually found the cache.
We enjoyed this cache for the knowledge it imparted. TFTC JJ.

After picking up some nearby caches while visiting the area, this one was too close too resist finding. Wandered across the Park and soon had container in hand. It's holding up well, thanks for bringing me here, no bombing today
On the way from a nearby letterbox we just couldn't drive past this one, the description begged for further investigation. A very cool piece of history, we're glad we stopped to see it. Cache was found in good condition and the log signed. Tftc jasenjanine
Out geocaching with my 5 year old and hubby. After coming across a bag of used needles we decided to skip this one. Just be cery careful where you stick your hands for this one.
Out for a day of caching with friends fng_affl and JungleCats56. A quick and easy find! TFTC!!
Interesting piece of history. Would never have expected a bomb shelter here. TFTC
Love the history luckily not needed at present. would be a little creepy in there. Took travel bug will get it moving soon. TFTC

Our fist cache since we arrived in Landsborough about an hour ago! Walked to the station to check it out as going to Brisbane tomorrow on the train. Great hide & all sorted for the morning! TFTC
Tourists on the Sunshine Coast. Dipping in and out of random caches. This being one.
Cache find was straightforward, all in order.
Log signed and cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

Took my daughter on a train for the first time today and while we were waiting for the return trip we popped over for this cache. Found easily. TFTC took KFC wipe and left green car.
Nice camo but the coordinates put me right on top of it. Surprisingly, no muggles around in the near vicinity. TFTC

Pretty quiet in the carpark today. Thanks for the stop.
Off to Noosa today, plenty of heavy rain [s]showers[/s] downpours.
Found on a trip to OZ for the Stanthorpe MEGA. It is all about the numbers this trip, Ms KR decided to stay in NZ!
Thanks for the hide.

First time I have ever seen a bomb shelter so the history was a exciting as the find. Sneaky little cache. Had a great time out caching today in this area. Cache returned to it's spot after log was signed TFTC

Headed out this way for lunch with mum, collecting some caches along the way. I had wanted to do this cache for a while and so today was the day. Upon arriving at the GZ, we scored a park right next to the structure. Being a sunday afternoon there weren't to many people out and about, and so before i exited the car i had a quick look and by chance spotted the hide. Awesome camouflage!!! with the hard part done, i just had to grab the cache. however with a muggle couple sitting at the table, i had to wait until there attention was else where to make the find. Signed the log and returned it, making sure it was a little better hidden. TFTC

This cache is one of the reasons I love caching. Sometimes the cache itself doesn't need to be over complicated, although this one definitely had us scratching our heads for a while. I love how a little bit of local history gets pointed out that we never would have known about otherwise. Tfth!
After another great caching day, on the Sunshine Coast, it was time to turn our heads south for home. Thought we'd clean up a few smilies on the way home to round the day off at an even 30. As it turned out, we notched up 2 more than expected for a total of 32. This was #29 for the day!
This is find #1327 for us.
An interesting little bit of history that, for me, would otherwise have gone unknown. Thanks for enlightening us today. A nice quick find without any muggle dramas.

Sometimes the most obvious is the most hidden. Found at 2.48 pm on 18th Jan 2015. TFTC.
Found at 1120.
While refuelling at Mellum Munchies, I remembered there was a cache close by.
After gobbling my brunch, I headed across the road to the bomb shelter.
At GZ I thought I had found the cache, only to discover it was a home made smoking implement.....orange juice bottle with some garden hose stuck in it.
I looked deeper and quickly found the real cache.

Quick find as cache as in the open. Signed log, left JCF key ring then tucked in back out of view of muggles. Thanks for drawing our attention to the history of this structure.
Out and about this arvo with 4Sistas. TFTC.

I have to be that person that goes... ‘Was this wall always here...?’.
I don’t know how many times I have driven past this Station, picked-up someone from this Station and even gathered directly in front of this wall for the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane Cycle Challenge and never noticed it.
That’s what I love most about Geocaching, opening your eyes to what is around you.
Finding the cache itself was quite easy and straight forward and a quick find. I did the deed and also grabbed the TB:

Thanks for this cache ‘jasenjanine’ and for materialising this wall

Geokid Zac found the cache pretty easily. Dropped off his first TB. TFTC!
One of the kids found it before I even stepped out of the car.
Thanks for the historical info, I often go through here on the train and had no idea what it was.

After a morning at Under water world, I decided to fit in a couple of caches before lunch.
What a lovely part of the world it is up here.
Managed 4 caches today as well as lovely fish and chips with a beautiful ocean view.
On our way home there was a big enough gap of time between the bus and our train so we had time to grab this cache. I spotted a likely hide straightaway!

Great to be back and visit Landsborough after 30 odd years. Amazing to see the change especially here at the station. A lot has changed since I used to catch the school bus between here and Caloundra. Thanks for the memories!
Camped at Lansborough, and headed out to pick up a few caches for the afternoon.
Checked this one out a few days ago, with no luck.
So we asked a local previous finder to check it out for us, and he confirmed it was missing.
Today, we made up a new container with some camo, added a log book and a pencil.
Placed the cache in the position, as indicated to us.
We hope the CO is ok with this, please contact us if there is a problem.
Many thanks for placing this cache, jasenjanine, for us and others to find.

A beautiful day to be out & about around this area... Decided to take in Maleny and surrounds today...
This is a beautiful area to which I had never been before... Dropped in and grabbed this on the way there...
Some fantastic views, sights & roads throughout the area... Thanks for the history too... Another of those places I would never of know about if I didn't cache...
A bit of a search, made the grab, signed log & replaced...
Thanks for bringing me here jasenjanine and for the cache...

This cache ticked all the boxes for Owl. It had an interesting historical story, it was easy to find, it fitted one of the TBs she'd brought from Adelaide and it was opposite the bakery that her family had stopped at for morning tea. (When you are with a muggle family and a husband who refuses to stop for caches, you take every opportunity you can!)
A quick find at an interesting piece of history. Thanks for teaching us something and for the cache.
Another piece of interesting WWII trivia. Wonder what they planned to do if they were caught between stations? TFTC.
Out with a muggle hiking group (Bhd) walking from Mooloolah. Got a few keen newbies. TFTC
#350... Driving back from a day exploring the Blackall ranges, had to complete 1 more cache for the day! TFTC
Awesome! I love the history of this! TFTC

I even got a pic to show how happy i am ^-^ haha !

Easy find this one. I found it in its spot then took it to show the kids. While I was trying to return it to it's hiding place a muggle came and was putting things in the boot of their car. They had their back to me and I quickly returned it to the hiding space without being noticed. Great fun . This is the second attempt I have had at this one as there were too many muggers last time and I just had to keep on driving.
Found on the way to find some local attractions while we were in the area camping. This was a nice easy find. TFTC
Had to take a Paul frank sticker! Loved the history. "Easy find" took a while. Sam x 2
Quick find before catching the train. Was a pleasure introducing you to geocaching kaitosaurus! Carry on and spread the love. RAWR!
