Great Find!! Really high chance you can walk past with out even noticing the cache lovely view.
Tried from one end then went to the other lol. Found it with broken hook, bugs inside and the log half way down the street great find and view, sorry to tell you it needs maintenance tho
Had a cool afternoon with our fav caching buddies Tigerosaurous. Grabbed the bikes and headed off for a short ride round this part of the estuary. Should've read the log on this one and approached from the top. The two 4yr olds lead the way to GZ with their aged mothers and younger sister lagging behind. A quick find although sorry, my 4yr old may have damaged the casing in his over exuberant pulling it from it's spot, Tigerosaurous had the equipment for a quick fix. The 4yr olds also lead the charge back down the hill. We emptied our shoes at the bottom! TFTC
This was one of nearly eighty Geocaches I found in the company of HKCB and 11hpg11, we signed the log HI1, an anachronism made up of the first initials of our Geocaching handles to save on log space. This was our second trip to the Bay of Plenty. A few weeks ago we conquered The Mount and Papamoa and were back today on another infamous mad mission. We left Hamilton at 4:30 am and I was back at home in time to read my two boys a story and tuck them into bed at 7:30pm. We had a fun day exploring the area and got to see lots of parts of the area we hadn’t experienced before. A big thanks to all the cache owners who took the time and effort to place so many high quality and well maintained hides. Thanks also to HKCB for organising the day and driving. I think it was fitting to undertake these trips during the ‘Geocaching Road trip’ Groundspeak promotion, as it typified all those things that make a good road trip, most importantly good company. There were plenty of laughs and some memorable shenanigans.
The container was much bigger than expected and found quickly.

Out and about trying to clear off another chunk of Tauranga geocaches. Again accompanied by HKCB and Iammrwalker, this seems to becoming a habit. Early start, head to Tauranga, cache the whole day, say we will be home early, end up being home later and then grovelling out of the dog box. This time we set off from Hamilton at 4.30am to try and get more caching done before we had to turn around. We seem to be enjoying this so much we are planning a return visit again soon. Signed our logs as "HI1" as an acronym of our respective caching names. A great, laugh filled day that was thoroughly enjoyed.
Lovely spot with some nice views too. Quick find here while scouting out the best access to some other caches. Not down this way! But we got a smiley so it's all worth it

Another all day mission with 11HPG11 and iammrwalk, this time focusing on the other side of Tauranga. I had just finished logging the all the caches we had found in Papamoa when I looked at the map and thought why not have a crack at the other side as well!
A early start as we were on the road at 4.30am as we needed to be back not to late otherwise we'd be in the dog box when we got back home. Another fantastic day out with lots of the usual laughter and this time the weather was much better behaved. In total over 80 finds, with only a couple of DNF's and we got back in time to stay out of the dog boxes, just!
We signed the log books with Hi1, an acronym of our caching handles. A big thanks to all the CO's for all the placements, and for taking us to places we hadn't been before.
This one was certainly hanging out here. No troubles finding the cache and a good view of the harbour.

Lovely area and grand view found on our way between the CITO and Lunch.
Thank you for the cache

I had an awesome caching day at otumoetai with thescoobydoos - without any kids for a change! This was a nice quick find. I'm impressed by the caches in this area. Thanks!
TFTC. This was a quick find today. I evicted a few local residents from this cache...several cockroaches and an earwig!
A beautiful day today. Have never been on this side of the water and looking forward to a day of caching adventure. Cache all good here. Cheers.
Kids found it. They came back with a bug. We're new to this do will send bug on his way
Kids got muddy ! Great find, had them hunting. Got the bug, thinking where to leave it.
#322 - After taking the dog to the vet, Deciding on doing some caching together lol! been meaning to get this one for ages, really lovely spot. TFTC
This one was hanging out with some earwig friends I was last in my group to spot it, was hidden very well! Good for kids this
We thought this was somewhere else when arriving at what we thought might be GZ, but soon saw the error of our ways.
Nice hide.

Biking around this inlet with some members of Team Sabre2th using their local knowledge to locate the best route to pick up this trail of caches... this one had us stalled for a bit, but soon worked out where we had to be...

After our State Sand to Surf ocean swim event at The Mount yesterday, it was time to head back home to Auckland - but of course we had to grab a few caches on our way back.
This one didn't take us too long to locate - upon opening we disrupted a family of earwigs which creeped us out a wee bit. Sweet few of The Mount from here through! Thanks for the cache Zork

Heading home after helping out with the State Ocean Swim at the Mount. We decided to tiki tour and find a few caches on the way.
Nice view from up here, looking down at the little wharf that I remember fishing from when I was a kid.

Nice!! Tried for this a few days ago from the walkway below. Thought I'd try up here and found this sneaky earwig lair. Although I lived just down the road for years, never knew this little area and lookout was here. TFTC.
Very hard find, i was looking in the wrong direction, as i gave up kiwimikebop found the cache.
Had tried to get this one from the harbor walkway a few days ago, no luck! So today we tried again via the road up the top, much better! The cache and hiding place wasn't what I was expecting!
Found this with my seven year old came up here with our dinner and sat on the seat to eat our dinner while we were sitting we could see the cache hanging so I grabbed it and gave to my daughter to open she screamed as all the earwigs came out very funny for me she didn't think so I signed log and put back.

08/01/15 15:40 After a bike ride around the lagoon I 'listened' to my gps and The Princess and I went straight to the cache. Coord's spot on with my iPhone. Cheers, GC.
Walked in from Coach Dr along the Waikaraeo Walkway to this cache before turning around and heading back. On my GPS, i have a trail marked from the walkway up to Pillans Rd. Well that is not the case, just a steep reinforced bank. No other option but to climb the bank to the top and over the railing.
No problems heading up as i was up in a flash. Found the cache quickly and signed the log. Headed back down very carefully but ended up ripping my shorts on some wire on the way back down. All good, TFTC!

We spent an hour trying to climb the concrete hill, nearly broke some ankles and eventually found out that we had to drive up the road. You do not need to climbing anywhere. Open ed up the case to find that a group of earwigs had decided to nest there ,what A nice suprise.
TFTC ^^ Already lots of time passed till today, but i still remember the nice view on the mount
yay found it after a bit of searching gps and kids were more onto it than me today full of earwigs so shook them out and replaced cache back in its good hiding spot. thanks for the cache
Well we drove to this one for a quick find..... then SURPRISE!!! Earwig infestation! Crazy, the photo doesn't do it justice because half of them had gone by the time I had the camera ready. Gave it a quick clean, and was sure to 'seal' before replacing to spot as found. So happy it wasn't spiders is about all I can say. Great view though and hey, isn't that Bob Clarksons house?
Will come back with a pen to log it (d'oh), but easy enough find once climbed up. Tftc
Irish treasure finds the treasure on our second attempt. Big climb or follow the road.
Familiar cache saw exactly true same one on a tahuna cache hummm! I wonder tftc lovely view
Finally found this one, once we were in the right place. Thank you for the cache Zork V, very nice view
Found this alone first. Walked the pathway and was pretty confused of where the compass pointed, but realized, walked around and found it after short time; then realized I had no pen...
Came back today to sign it and look for some more. TFTC

Very nice hide. Went for a walk around the Daisy Hardwick walkway to complete some of the caches on this side of Tauranga. So we went the harder way to get to the cache ,up the bank. TFTC
Walked go a bit but didn't find this cache. Was quite disappointed. Gonna buy a new GPS. (Phone isn't working) will be back!!
Took a side trip up the bank on the way around the loop to get this one. TFTC

'31 Days of Geocaching' Day 24: An easy find early on a brilliant morning, the sun was on the Mount and held the promise of another great day. An interesting container has been used here. Thanks for the cache.
Found on the way home from work. Okay, it wasnt really on my way home, so a little detour was required. Found this interesting cache just hanging around. Pity the view is blocked by the overgrowth, as it would be a nice place to sit and watch the sunrise. Thanks for bringing me here. <:))))>
cool easy find. tftc. was going to do the track last weekend lucky we didnt. this cache was on the roadside not trackside
Fortunately we read some of the previous logs, so we were able to approach this from the right direction. TFTC
On a caching mission from Rotorua, to clear the mass of green boxes around Tauranga.
Like Kiwipeats, we thought we had to walk the whole walk, then back, but discovered a better way.
A good hide. Thanks Zork V.

was thinking we would do this from the walkway but once there, realised there had to be an easier way!
And there was. Quickly in hand. Nice job.

Was going to give this a miss as we'd been put off previously when walking around the inlet, but approaching from the other direction proved nice & easy. Early evening and no-one about. Recovered cache, signed log and retrieved GC. didn't have so much of a view due to the time of day and vegetation growth.

A quick find in the rain, while we were down in Tauranga for the weekend. Thanks for the cache! (btw - the bugs have returned to the cache!)

Scambled up the bank from the walkway, after that easy find and walked back to the car by road
