I came down to dunedin for the mega and i was lucky enough to have a fellow geocacher who had a sister in Dunedin which meant we had a place to stay which was marvellous and over the 6-7 days i visited so many caches that some have become a blur while others i remember well . We were lucky we had only a handful of DNF although i had not taken in to account the terrain of Dunedin and its many hills , gullies , streams and walk ways around these so that meant many of the caches i had planned to visit were not visited while others were. Unfortunately not all the albatross series - although solved - were some of the unvisited caches so they are there for another visit . when ever that maybe ! It was certainly helpful to have a local in our vehicle who knew where to go ! Thank you for this cache .
Our third cache as we traveled along Coast Road. We had dropped off Young Sis at the end of Coast Road for her to run the length in preparation for the Queenstown half. I love this cute hide. Thank you Mckeithy
That took longer than it should have and found thanks to a hint from fellow cacher. In Dunedin for Mega. Out with gdkja for an earlystart to the weekend. TFTC
I meandered from Warrington to Hampden today, picking up a number of caches along the way. And lots of pleasant scenery en route! I was heading away from Karitane when I stopped for this one. An easy find, and clearly kids have found it easily too, based on the number of pages taken up with their scrawls! #7389. TFTC.
The geocache has been checked by a friendly local. It is under the seat.Apparently it has recently been signed by local children. The local likes watching people finding it.
Searched today, with Mr KC, found nothing... Can see that this cache was replaced (again) earlier this year, "under the seat". It was originally at the base of the cabbage tree. There's been recent grass cutting, the area is almost bare and the cache has gone. Since the CO hasn't been active for a long time, suggest it's time to archive this listing.
Found with cstorm and its_smitchell, great view from the seat! Also had help from a lovely dog
Stretch break on the mini roadtrip.
Found with C_storm, Ihavelocomotives and the doggo

Great little seat with a big view, lovely overnight stay and a coffee at the shop thanks
Day 3 of the South Island adventure for Carø and I. Today we drove from Moeraki around to Invercaggil along the Caitlins. Amazing views along the whole stretch. We found several caches along the way. Great to find this one after it not having too much love recent. Thanks for placing this one
Heading South now in our three week journey, we stopped for some great caches along the way, including this one. So many beautiful sights to see and places to be. We stayed at Moeraki last night and today make our way to Invercargill. What a beautiful day, and location. We stopped by here and were pleased to find the cache after it has been unloved for a while. Thanks for the cache, McKeithy!
Found the case under the seat but cache not there. Confirmed by kind lady across the road
Found where it should be but isnt there and couldnt see it where it could have ended up.
Had a good look around, think I found the likely hiding place but couldn't find it
Curious name, easily explained once you are there. We had just found the container when I read the logs- somebody needs to delete the entry two below this one and explain to them about not giving the game away! Found with Debsnz.
We found it on the right side of the seat in a little compartment in a clear container with a orange lid
This would be a great view on a clear still day. The wind was getting up a bit but no problem, I just wasn't going to linger. Thanks for bringing us here
Went away for a camping trip / tiki tour of the lower South Island with our 6 week old boy, and 4yo daughter.
Was planning on mainly doing the Kiwi Guardians adventures for the 4yo, but obviously there were a few caches about too, so found those where they were around!
TFTC!!

Out with Eve07 on a daytrip to enjoy the nice weather and grab some caches we've been eyeing up for a while.
Thank you for the cache, was in good condition, well wedged so it won't get blown or muggled.

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

The hint wasn’t much help. The container is bigger than a film canister. TFTC
Wow. What fabulous views. Today's plan is to womble over to Dunedin. Jude_E and I stayed in Waimate last night. Thanks McKeithy for creating this hide. It was find 8632 for me.

On a 7 day caching trip with Nosynel. Third day on the road focusing on caches in North Otago and Dunedin. We took the road to Karitane and found this one on the way. Thanks for the hide!

Last time I was through here I couldn't look for this as there were workmen everywhere. No such problem today - nice hide too although it took quite a bit of nimble finger work to extract the cache. TFTC # 15,534
On the road to Oamaru on a wet and windy day we stopped here to admire the wild grey view and nipped out of the car to find the cache. No probs here. SL. TFTC.
This took a wee bit of hunting, don't know why as it was pretty staightforward!! thanks.
Found on a wee break over Waitangi weekend. It is a bit cool for this time of year!!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Adorable seat, very full plum tree too! Theres a funny note at the bottom of this cache hehe
Thanks!
Thanks!
There's not a lot of room for two cachers in the hunt so I stood back some while starting a conversation with the friendly neighbour. He confirmed we were doing the right thing and the reason it took some time was that the container was a bit tight in its hiding place. All good here then off for our last find in this delightful village. A fav. Thank you McKeithy
We had an unexpected extra night in Dunedin so that also meant some extra geocaching. Logs may have been signed H&H, HZ + HM, or with our full names depending on log size.
We did have help from the friendly chap across the road but extracting the container took some time, it has been pushed in too far. Some gentle manipulation with my smaller fingers finally had us signing the log.
Thank you McKeithy.

On a caching adventure with some Westies (rustynz, rebel98 and gorby) to Otago and Southland, on a long weekend of caching fun
Now gorby had visited this cache a few months ago, and so he said we had to stop and find this one! well with a parking space just for us, I was soon retrieving the cache (which was wedged in really well) and signing the log. Great views from up here.
Thanks for the hide McKeithy, a fun find today

Found this going for a spontaneous trip up the north of Dunedin. Nice little place Karitane is. Easily found due to good clue and title. TFTC, greetings from Auckland
Took longer than it should have. On short trip out to Karitane with Mrs Wilby
We are heading home from Palmerston early but time for the Evil series. Now in Karitane. Had this one in the bag after a short search. Cheers. Great views but this set is very close to the cliff.
Its Anzac Day 25 April and we have an event at Palmerston. So its a day in Palmerston today with a walk up Puketau in the mix.
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Look at the plaque on the seat I can't decide if it was specifically put here to be a work of art. Or maybe comedy (which I guess is an art form). And then for some strange unknown reason started looking for a nano - eg a vial, in a crack in the vegetable. So of course Taybeedragon, who was looking in a way more sensible area, found it. Bit of a dodgy place to sit - the little cliff is right there.
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few virtuals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

I flew in to Dunedin yesterday for a special mission, collecting old caches and some others for a challenge cache I’m working on and some caches with high FP's for the Cache Carnival souvenirs.
Parked up across the road from the cache, and what a beautiful location! I could have easily stayed here for the day here at Karitane. So many things to explore, beautiful beaches to walk on, the sun is up now and getting quite warm. A pity I'm time constrained. Gotta be at the airport by 1:30pm to drop off my rental, need to fill it up with gas and fly out at 2;50pm.
It only took a few seconds to spot the cache... how can you ever DNF this one? Looks like it's been awhile since this has been found. Lots of cobwebs on the cache, a little hard to extract it from it's pozi. But all good here. Thanks very much for bringing me here McKeithy, a wonderful beach.

What a lovely spot. Found on a drive home after walking the beach across the inlet. Thank you McKeithy for a restful sit on a warm afternoon.
Grabbed an ice cream from the store and came for a wee walk to find this cache. The friendly muggle from over the road came over to say hello and check we'd found it ok. He pointed out a hole at the back of the cache hiding spot which makes it easier to retrieve which may be useful for future finders. Tftc, great spot and great view!
Found during our return road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin after an overnight stay at Warrington.
We met the friendly neighbour’s son and the friendly neighbour’s mum. No problem with the find on a damp and chilly morning TFTC.

Heading down to dunnas for the weekend to "cache up" with KJR making time to grab a few I would usually drive past ..quick find tftc
Quick find, thanks!! Getting the cache out of the hidey hole was a bit of a mission!
Major work going on sorting out the embankment. Glad the differ wasn't working today. Fantastic views on the coldest morning of winter so far.
We picked a corker day to visit the area, I lived in the region for many years and never visited. Finished signing log and a couple in a house across the road greeted us with a cheery wave.
Thanks for bringing me here, never been this way before, always go the short cut over the motorway. Cache was quickly found and extracted. Such a nice day, an elderly couple across the road were having lunch in the sun, gave them a friendly wave, i think they knew exactly what we were doing.
Found this one a while back but didn’t have a pen on me. Found today on a very hot summers day! TFTC!
Nice to be able to say that I have now found it after logging an earlier DNF where I spent way to long concentrating on the vege.
I was down in Otago for the long weekend to attend the Oamaru Geofest and today drove back down to Dunedin, finding a few caches as I went. I took the scenic route via Karitane and Seacliffe and stopped for this cache along the way. Made a quick find at GZ, although the cache was a bit tricky to remove. The friendly neighbour from across the road came to have a chat - he knew the geocache was there. TFTC!
I drove up from Dunedin to to Oamaru today on my way to attend the weekend's Geofest Event. I ventured off the main highway a number of times to explore the country byways. There was of course the odd cache to find along the way as well. All in all a very pleasant trip with some interesting places and great views along the way. Cheers and TFTC

Did you know the **WENZ** Event is being held in Wellington over Labour Weekend next year. Visit the web page at [GC78NMQ](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC78NMQ_wenz-event-2018-wellington) for more detai
I didn't spend all that much time looking for it. Next time I'll have a more through search as some of the logs indicate that it is well hidden.
TFTC - this took us longer than it should of. But eventually we did find it.
