Not the most attractive walkway at present but new plantings will certainly help. TFTC. http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_cool.gif
Staying with family in Richmond whilst on Holiday (Mr G grew up here).
Came out to Brightwater for an evenings run with Mrs G. A neat wee spot and hide. Cheers.

had another look today and it is exactly in the first place I searched last time - definately all crisp and new and all go now, TFTC
Looks like this cache may be M.I.A. We'll temporarily disable it until we can check/replace it. Sorry!
Started off on the wrong side of the river, so went all the way back and approached from the correct side, and then saw that the river is so low I could have just rock hopped a few metres to the cache!! A great sneaky hide, TFTC!!
Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
Started out walking down the track on the wrong side of the river but that gave some muggles chance to leave. Kitty! did the honours whilst I turned the car around. Tftc!
#13 of 22 on a ride from Richmond, to Rabbit Island, to Brightwater and back.
Cache was in first place looked. Nice hide. TFTC

A quick park and grab on a very nice day. I was almost tempted to test the water. TFTC teamteapot

This cache had us stumped, as we were passing by again we thought we would have another look. Cache found 'Exactly' where we looked last time but funnily enough it was actually there this time. Had us wondering if some muggles had located it? Anyway, we located it and now must keep moving along (always good to convert a previous DNF to a Found!) TFTC

Nice easy find with my young son. We then jumped across the rocks and headed towards Waterside Walkway 1 (probably could have taken car !!).. Nice day tho so all good. Tftc.
Cache find number 491 on today's mission to make my 500th cache find. Well supported by my better half we can do this! Nice hide. TFTC
Another sneaky quick find on Boxing Day. Went to the wrong side of the river to start with, and then found the cache exposed. Signed the log and placed it where I think it probably lives. Tftc.

Admired the weir over the river. Found cache with La Vista during a day out in the countryside. TFTC
This turned out to be a drive by park & grab, a lovely sunny day to enjoy this outing.
Found after a short walk along the riverbank. Log slightly damp but still usable. TFTC.
After the event in Nelson we were amped. We dedicated a small area that included new caches. A nice diversion from the beaten track. Another bit of the neighbourhood that can do with more exploring. Thanks for bringing us here.
Biking home after lunch at the Sprig and Fern, decided to try this walkway instead of the cycle-way. Cache found easily - ride was a bit bumpy but good to explore another bit of the area .
A nice cache for young C to find. And the kids enjoyed playing on rocks throwing stones. Another favourite Brightwater spot of ours. An absolutely beautiful day, perfect in every way. ps paper a bit wet.
Out with the kids in Brightwater doing a few caches in this superb sunny warm weather. TFTC
I am back in the south island again geocaching , I am doing a road trip with this Nana and Auntie and having Good time Thank for the Caches
Riverworks STILL going on. The wheels of progress grind slowly out here.... We hope to replace this one as soon as the work is done.
Sorry, due to the ongoing riverworks in this area, this cache is temporarily out of action. We will try to re-list it when we can work out exactly where the council are going to leave everything...
Thanks for going to plan B, Bartlettboys. Very professionally done! It is not difficult to see why the original log got wet. TFTC.
Nice clever hide. Took a few minutes to work this one out but got there in the end. Thanks for the cache
Our smallest member came with us today but he was feeling rather hot in the car so this was a good spot for him to get out.Nice hide in a lovely area tftc
On a BWOC again with -gonefishing and boxhill in Nelson to clean up a few of the nice and challenging caches. Arrived at GZ and just as we were getting out of the car, as usual a muggle turned up and parked about 20 metres away, just our luck, luckily for us our smart driver managed to park the car in the way to block his view. Was searching in the wrong spot when -gonefishing- came up trumps, great hiding spot very clever, thanks for bringing us to this interesting location, TFTC TNLNSL (2737)
Found by gonefishing as I was turning the Geowagon around. clever hiding spot. SL TFTC
This seems to be a very popular spot with dog walkers and joggers. However, we managed a quick find between muggles.

There is nothing wrong with the log it is far better than some I have been to in the last couple of days. TFTC #1867
VERY VERY soggy log book. We had a spare one on board but not the right size. Cheers
There has been a LOT of water here recently! Will head out today to replace the logbook, so this one should be all go again.
A quick find, eyed up shortcut back to car but chances of a swim were too great.

Drove very close, left the car running expecting it to be quick, walked up to the spot, read the description, noted the size. Now where would I hide a micro that wouldn't get washed away? Found it in the first place I looked. The log book was wet from yesterdays flood, but not too wet to write in. I suggest it gets dried out asap. TFTC
Spent a few minutes looking for a small - then checked the cache detasils and found it immediately. TFTC
Drove right beside it about a ten minute hunt then found it great little cache. Thanks
The first of the day, a spot I've played in as a kid - changed a bit now with the weir and gate. Nice little hide, TNLN Thanks
Quite a few muggles on dirt bikes and by the river here, but Moneydork managed to do the deed. Cheers Gav [6979]
A great place for the dog to play in the river and then a walk afterwards to get her dry again. Co-ords spot on and a nice easy find once we checked the published cache size. The cache needs a little TLC to ensure it stays in place though. TFTC.
Good hide, done on the way back from conducting a wedding for a Tepot Valley Couple.
This was one of those instinctive finds. We wandered up to the spot, and I had it in hand in a moment of seconds.. Km was saying "2m....1m, "got it!" poor thing, sometimes maning the technology can be a hinderance.
We found it on 02 October 2010 at 15:03:00 as part of an afternoons caching in the area. Was pleased we didn't come a couple of days ago, river levels still very high, but only over the banks in one spot.

Had me fooled at first but then I started thinking like a geocacher. Good little hide. TFTC.
River pretty high at the moment. I was a bit worried for the cache as I approached GZ but all was well. TFTC, Biggles.
Well done Jr Teapot! Hadn't read the cache page so spent a while longer looking for it than I could have. That, and the constant passers by made this a tricky cache!! Well done - hope you get to put some more out. TFTC.
driving past, so quick grab......oh ....must be a micro. quick find. Plenty of water over the weir. good one
Nice little hide and co-ord were spot on. the only thing that slowed us here was waiting for a muggle to finnish giving her dogs a swim
Stretch0 enjoyed taking photos of the small falls while we waited for 2 wet and happy dogs to finish their play and allow their human pet to take them home cache quickly in hand thanks for the cache signed log
Needed some exercise after a day of capitalist activities so one of several caches on the bike out Waimea way.
Nice One!!!!!!!! Have always enjoyed this walkway. Was fooled at first and then a bit of common sense took over for an easy find. Clever! Much fun. Thanks
co-ords spot one
