In town with CaptainVimes for a work event (hers, not mine) and to find a few caches. I probably should have come up from below but I came down from above. I looked where I would hide it and there it was. Thanks for the cache The Gasman
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Sir Spectre [^]
Such an excellent cache with a great view Hasn't been found in a year, which makes this Soo much more excellent!Cache in great conditionTftc
Well this was a cache of opportunity after targeting a nearby newbie. Had Freddo with us as a safety option. Found the replacement cache. Like an oldie.

My GPS jumping around like crazy. Nearly gave up, then "just happened" to look in a certain direction and had the "I wonder" moment.
Now I'm sitting quietly by the dam removing prickles... Totally worth it for the smiley

Today the aim was to clear the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park of the few remaining traditionals that I had left to find. It took three and a half hours and two walks but I left the area with mission accomplished and my cardio exercise done.
This one was the last found on the first walk. Hadn't done any research on any of the caches I hoped to find today and approached this cache as usual i.e. the wrong way. After carefully making my way down the steep slope eventually found the cache in about the fifth spot examined. Decided not to leave the original cache and it's contents here as it seemed just so much geo-rubbish and the smaller container was doing the job.
Only after getting home and starting logging did I realize that the cache was nearly 20years old and on examining the rubbish saw that it contained the original log book, unfortunately too deteriorated to consider returning to cache, a white roll of electrical tape that was possibly part of original swag, still useable, and an electronic clock probably placed in the cache in 2005, not useable.
Being a left of center student in the early seventies was certain I'd run across the expression First Against the Wall when the Revolution Comes, usually combined with the word Motherf**ker, long before I saw it in Mr Adams HGTTG series. Even let Mr Google add to my art knowledge in trying to find it's origins.
This is the type of cache that in my mind caching is all about.
Thanks to The Gasman for putting out this cache for me to find, a pity about the Needs Maintenance logs which will probably mean that this oldie will be archived in the not too distant future.
*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*

This cache is definitely the hardest I've done. There's no clear path to the cache, and it's on a 45 deg sideways inclide hill. There's some outer box that's really broken, with a big ziploc of decomposing stuff. Not sure what purpose it serves but the next cacher with a trash bag should clear it out. There's an inner sistema box that is sufficient for the cache. Left two trackables and took one trackable
I've had this one on my radar for quite some time and today was the day to come and make the find! After contemplating taking the shorter route from above, I decided that, as I was on my own, the bottom-up approach would be more sensible. Very cool area to explore. As mentioned previously, the original cache comonents could do with some TLC, but the new logbook and small container are fine. TFTC The Gasman!
Found It!
Took the hard way into this one and then the easy way out. Nice views and always good to find such an old cache to! The container has seen better days though.

The terrain for this one wasn't nearly as slippery as I expected as the ground below was damp enough for my feet to make an imprint. Coming down was a bit trickier but the whole experience was slip free. The cache itself is absolutely destroyed though and whatever has been placed in with it has spread rust everywhere. I added my name to the back of a very crusty log book. This one needs a complete new container. Despite that however, an awesome location for a cache and beautiful views of the reservoir.
This evening with looming COVID-19 lockdown impacts growing closer every day, I was still determined to head out for some hiking and fitness whilst we still had the freedoms. Hence, I planned on some walks and running in Hawthorndene and Blackwood, with a final run in Craigburn Farm. A variety of geocaches were found, and some reserves visited that I had never been to before. Later in the evening once I was trail running in Craigburn Farm, I did see a number of kangaroos about, including a few mountain bikers night riding.
I had tried visiting this cache previously, but coming from the other side of the dam. I hadn't realised that there was no access across, and so at the time, many months ago, I left it. I was in the vicinity, and thought this evening would be a great chance to jog down to grab this find. It was a great oldie 12/2001 hidden cache, so somewhat on my target list to find.
I parked on the edge of the park, and jogged along the firetracks down Craigburn Road and the subsequent fire track. It just started to lose light as I was above the cache, and started descending along the steep hill. My GPS kept wanting me not too far away from GZ, and there were quite a few outcrops of interesting rocks/geology that I searched, but unfortunately I wasn't having any luck. It didn't help that some of the rock was pretty crumbly, and so hard to rely on as I was traversing the slope. Eventually I kept going down, and then made the consequent find. The cache location wasn't actually as hard as it needed to be, and for those future visitors, I would highly recommend approaching from the bottom, rather than from the top! The cache container had broken up, but the contents and logbook was still fine (so a subsequent visitor may wish to bring a new container for this one). I dropped a TB through, and thought I grabbed a TB in exchange, but it just turned out to be a wooden 2018 geocoin. Thanks The Gasman for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This morning g I had 2 hours to kill before work so decided to go for a nice walk around the local area where I am currently staying. What a stunning day!
I had been eyeing off this cache for about the last year and today seemed like the best day to make the find, as I had found 2 caches close in the park o continued along the fire road and down to the damp, up I went in search and found myself in the wrong spot, back down and across the steep bank I soon was at Gz and the cache was easily found.
The original is very broken but the replace the inside is in good condition.
Great to find this oldie,

This one should come with a warning, but since it doesn't, I will post it...Extremely hazardous unless you come from the trail below.
Would say this one gave me the most fear of being in danger out of all other caches that I have done. As you can see from the elevation lines on the map, it's extremely steep and the overgrown and dry grass is extremely slippery.
Found by the Aussie branch of Dobie's Pride/GronwoldFamily.

Pretty steep climb. Would not recommend in dark it wet. Cache itself has been decimated by the elements. Needs maintenance.

Cache #2185.
This Saturday, the whole family went to Sturt Gorge Recreation Park for hiking and geocaching.
This was the third cache we tried today. After two DNF on two caches, finally we got a smiley face.
The terrain is quite challenging. It was so steep, and the overgrown vegetation was wet, which make it very slippery. I had to unload the baby on my back, and let her play with her mum near the lake. I climbed to the GZ, and found some possible places. Cache was in one of them. The cache container was broken, and need repair. The logbook was wet. It was covered by a rock.
Thanks for the cache, The Gasman. Nice place.

This was another **oldie** we had chosen.
After a very pleasant walk we arrived within a few metres above GZ, then we carefully made our way down the hill and before long found the old and new containers.
After signing the log we scrambled back up the hill and headed back to the car looking forward to the next on our list.

Having recently compleated the goal of finding 300+ caches in a month, it was now time to start working on finding caches that are more of a quality, rather than quantity type of cache. I don't know why it has taken me so long to attempt this cache. Previously, when chasing numbers, the long walk put me off. Today however, it was time to finally make the plesant walk to gz in search of a cache. Like previous finders, I can confirm that aproaching this cache from below is definetly the preffered choice, there are so helpfull geotrails and obvious ways in and out, and even some accurate satlock. Soon after leaving the track, the cache was in hand and I sat down to sign the log and enjoy the view. With the log signed and cache replace I waas on my way out. Though heading back down the slope was slightelly harder than heading up it to the cache. A great place for a cache however, and one I am glad to have finally found.

this was todays target cache as it was the last need for BONES'S D/T grid in the t3.5 row ( now 11 left ). Didn't even realise it was a 2001 cache till I started logging it, that's just a bonus. Started out at the blue dot " Tribute to Movember " and walked across from there, not the shortest path but as I like walking through this gorge that was fine. Turns out coming from the top was a very bad idea after all the recent rains, very slippery, I don't recommend it. On the return I decided to follow the contour lines instead of trying to walk up or down them and had a lot easier walk.
Seeing this was an old cache we headed over. The walk was a little further than we expected but that was ok as the map we had did not show the locked gate on the road. The steepness soon picked up and we took the more direct route leaving the path. We soon arrived at GZ and made a quick find of the new blank log book in the new container inside the old one. Some nice views of the Dam wall. We completed the signing duties and took the more direct route go. TFTC
A visit to Adelaide and a cache up with Ozibags. This was on my radar to complete some hidden months on my calender. A slip and slide down and a few grazes, but it was worth it in the end! A new container in place inside the old one by Ozibags. TFTC The Gasman
Found while out and about with a geocaching friend visiting from Queensland. We approached from the top. Not recommended! Placed a new container inside the old container. TFTC The Gasman.
Found on a rainy Sunday morning stroll in the Sturt Gorge. We approached this one from below (after reading previous logs) and Im glad I did as it was quite easy to get to. The approach from above did NOT look safe. Signed log which was bone dry (after 6 days of 35-43 degree heat). The container is cracked, but was covered in stones to keep any rain out, and really should be replaced as its now 14 years old. Signed log
Found it just about to give up come in from the bottom as i got caught out as it started to rain slide for about 20 metres down the hill of the rocks and ended up face to face with it please be careful my slide wasnt fun and now ill limp out of here love this game
Found by Adam and Brent. Came from above. Nearly died! Very slippery but very fun!
Approached this from above! NOT Recommended. Found damaged container half full of water, log book completely soaked. A good challenge. TFTC.
Lovely spot, wasn't too hard to get to, just a bit slippery. That wall is huge, surely the water never gets that high, surely. Cache was full to the brim with water, so will need a new container, drained it as best I could

I passed a couple with a GPSr around their neck as they were heading back up the track while I was on my way down to find this one... turns out it must have been J_&_J!!
As they mentioned, the climb to GZ certainly was wet and slippery, and my toes did end up a bit wet. Found the cache packed back up how "Mr J" must have left it - it has definitely seen better days.
Took some photos from this vantage point, and slipped and slid back down to the bottom. TFTC.

We set out today specifically to find this cache, and as it was a nice cool day, conditions were perfect for a stroll through this reserve. We passed lots of other walkers and cyclists enjoying such a fine morning, and quite a few dogs as well, getting a bit of exercise in.
We slowly wound our way down to the bottom, but at one stage I noticed the cache was only about 60 metres from us. I left the trail to see what the terrain was like, and found that there was no way we'd be descending that way! The next surprise was seeing the depth markers so far up the hill, indicating 30 metres deep!
Eventually got to the bottom, and noticed I had a short scramble upwards. Mrs J waited at the bottom and took some pics, while I made the wet, slippery ascent to GZ. The GPS still said 10m to go when I spotted the blue lid. Unfortunately the cache has been trashed a bit, with the contents strewn about. The log book is absolutely saturated, and unusable. The only dry thing I found to stamp was the instructions for the alarm clock. I gathered up all the bits and pieces, placing them back in the box and placing a couple of stones on the lid.
We're pleased to finally have put the effort into finding this great cache.
Thanks Gasman.

Well we can understand why this one has not been found in quite a while. A fair hike to the GZ but the whole Craigburn Farm area has been developed into a recreational park with a network of nice multi-purpose trails and planting of thousands of trees. Will become a very nice area for walking/mountain biking so might come back to plant another cache here. We walked to the end of the trail from where it was a steep climb up to the GZ in soil very soft from recent rains. GPS was all over the place but clue eventually helped me track down the cache which was readily visible once I found the spot. Nice hike back although the younger Coro cacher was starting to grumble about the distance.
Decided not to drop Maisie TB as she could be here a long while.

Not for the faint hearted! But a beautiful walk to reach GZ. TFTC. Took YoYo, left TOY snake . SL.
Beautiful day for a walk and out to get this one. Came across parks and wildlife fixing fencesand another group of workmen as well, managed to evade them and sneak off down the hill to find the cache. Wouldn't it be so much easier if you could come aross the dam for this one. Ah well got it now.
Got my moneys worth from this cache. Lovely morning for a walk so came in from Craigburn Drive. 3km round trip and I reckon it was the equivelant of another 5km getting to GZ. With all the rain of late the soil was very soft making it hard to get a footing. Eventually got there. TFTC The Gasman
Lovely walk with my geohound on a gorgeous crisp autumn morning. Looked ast this one a few months back from the other side of the gorge and decided to leave it then.
Definitely a bit of a scramble was worried about coming back down. Geohound thought she was a mountain goat and went prancing off up the cliff

This cache has been on the radar for ages, but given it's location has been off limits. I was in the area today setting courses for an orienteering event next Sunday and made a short detour to score a smilie here. I found the easy way out, it should have been the way I came in. I was thinking about taking the long way in but the red mist came down when the GPSr said the cache was less than 60m away.
Took the DNF GC.

Our adventure cache of the day !
After doing 'Dam Stupid' and not knowing the area really well [B)], we decided to come straight over to this cache (well, it was only a couple of hundred metres away).
It didn't take long to make our way across the rest of the valley and above the cache area, ending up zig-zagging our way down to the right elevation, them moving across until we found the cache.
Took Happy Ladybird TB. Left Indiana Jones TB. SL.
Sat and had our morning lunch at GZ while watching the bird life.
We suspect that if the water rose high enough to flow over the spillway, this cache would be underwater [xx(] - does anyone else agree?
Thanks Gasman - greatly enjoyed [^][^] (even the trek back).
Definitely the oldest cache we found today .

Running on borrowed time had a quick jog in to this one. Spent 30 minutes but came up short. Next time.
After sitting on the couch for the afternoon watching Jamie Wincup blitz the rest of the field in the V8s, a bit of exercise was now called for. So with this cache still on my to do list it was of into the bush to find it. A easy walk into the area of the cache with the final bit where the cache was hidden being ether straight up or straight down ( depending which way you approached it from ) but with a bit of scrambling and a lot of dirt in me shoes the cache was in hand.
Thanks for the cache and the exercise Gasman!

We found our 1st Gasman cache at 10:45am as the 7th of 23 on our Southern Adelaide Ramble with Cold Freeze and Bazzars. I had been hoping for a nice harder terrain cache and this one was great, especially from the place we walked it from. We had completed the Sturt River Dam cache on the other side of the water and we wandered down for a look as the dam. With the cache only 220m away, we decided to scramble down the dam and climb back up the other side. It had a few fun and tricky spots. Bazzars needed to catch his breath, so I got a head start and walked over the hill to a vanatage point only about 50m above the cache. A scramble down again and I needed the clue on this steep embankment to locate any possible hiding places. It took a few goes and continual downing before I finally picked the right one. The others had finally caught up but had overshot the cache so had to come back. We trailed back again and we completed the downward trek below the dam again. After enjoying the serene coolness, I started up but when I reached the top, I realised that the others were not close behind. I got a vantage point from the dam wall and saw that Bazzars was really having trouble with the climb back up. He got himself into a bit of fitness and dehydration trouble so whilst Cold Freeze made sure he was ok, I went back to the car for water. He took a while to get going again but all was good. As far as the walk to the cache goes, this was definitely my cache of the day but Bazzars will tell a different story. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.
Accompanied with Everlasting. Wow ! I did not realise that Blackwood has a weir. Beautiful place. We had a hard time climbing up but we had great fun.
the cache is still in good condition. Thanks The Gasmanfor the cache.

Found after a second approach from the north side of the valley this time.

WHAT?????? Only a 3.5 difficulty star?????
Consider the following - Wet, soursobs wet and slippery, lots of frosty grass, and that slope - an easy difficulty of 4.5. WHAT a climb, and that was the 10metres from the track.
I walked in on the track from Blackwood, ALL THE WAY to within 10m of the cache, then engaged 4 paw climbing to get to cache, overshot it first, then had to come back down.
WHAT A CACHE - Excellent location, now I can say I've finally been to Sturt Weir after 50 years.
Q. - What happens to the cache when the weir is full??? It has been in the past that I can recall in the dim distant past after a few very wet events.
Excellent cache, Thanks for the challenge.

Spent a good part of my childhood in this gorge and was quite happy to go back. Thanks for bringing all the good memories back.
We second the comments about sticking to the path! We risked life and limb scrambling and sliding on the hillside. There were certainly a lot more rocks at the bottom of the hill when we left than there were when we arrived [B)]. Who said you need snow to go skiing?!

My second visit for this cache. First time with my son, who lost his shoe half way in, only for us to find out we were on the wrong side of the wall. This time it was just me. Came in from the Blackwood side. My advice would be, TRUST THE TRACK UNTIL YOU ARE WITHIN 10M OF THE CACHE! This would save a lot of grief. A great spot that should be visited more often.

Like Aldrin after Armstrong, I followed in Zytheran's footsteps. Still visible after several days in the wet green hillside. This was one I had put off for a long time, but needed to get it done. Came in the long way from behind the oval. Half the walk is on bitumen, the other is in cow country. On the way back, I sat on the stile for a few minutes that crosses a fence, and watched through the bushes as a dog approached. As it rounded the last bush, a mere 10 metres away, it turned out to be a fox. It stood staring at me for a few seconds, decided I wasn't a threat and, with a slight diversion, continued on it's way. Neat. TNLN SL

Got off to a bad start by being on the wrong side of the river and unable to cross with only 200m to go. 90 minutes later we had driven around and walked in the long way, avoiding the cows, one of which decided to chase us a bit.
Came in the easy way and out the easy way although it was still slippery. Wibbles tracks were still visible 2 weeks after they were here! TNLN
Bloody cold walk in and out at 8C.

Found on a cold and windy morning - thankfully before the rain! Still got a wet bum coming back out from the cache though. TNLNSL.
A pleasant walk in from the east through a herd of cattle and the weather was perfect. Took the hard route in and easy out. Took trumpet left dinosaur. From one of the logs some people may not know why the dam is there. It is a flood retention dam that holds back the water in times of flood then gradually releases it. Until some years ago the dam would empty completely but the outlet was raised and now it always has some water in it. TFTC.
Ahh, local knowledge. Terrain difficulty is highly overrated if you stick to the path; maybe a 2 at best
I lived in this area and spent a lot of time hereabouts in my childhood.
More water in the dam than I remember.
Took nothing, left loot.

Having just read TeamTurtle's log, I have absolutely nothing else to add. Word perfect. To the letter. I think I followed Turtle's footsteps all the way there. If only I'd known from the start, it could have been just soooooooooooooooo much easier. Oh to be wise in retrospect. Took turtle, left "sign here" stickers. Cheers!
Yes. Definitely follow the track, not the arrow from the fourth opening. Easy find. Weather not behaving itself though…..TN, left bottle opener. Thanx to Mr Gasman.
Clear skies, Astro
An easy find, once you actually get to gz!! Getting there... well I decided to park the car at gate 4 and go for a walk. I did this by not following the track, went bush, wasn't going too badly considering how much bush bashing was happening, until I ran into the track again. Decided to follow for awhile, then decided this was too easy. Went back to the 'most direct route' method. All I can say is, even though the path goes much further (I know this now as I followed it to go back to car) it is a lot quicker!
Ok back onto a bigger track now and I decide to go with the 'interesting descent method' with about 90m to go, instead once again of following the winding track. Well I literally fell on top of the cache hidey! Picked up the gps and my notes, only to find I had lost sat. lock! Looked in the 1st obvious place I saw, and voila, there it is!
Left a patch, took nothing.
Now for the climb out! Actually was easier climbing out and up than going down that fast!! But only went bush as far as the main track, it then led me back to gate 4.
Moral of the story: Read the logs, and unless you are very adventurous, take the track and enjoy the walk!
Thanks Gasman... I think
PS: Especially not good on a wet day....

Found 1.05pm
Yes we to came down the slope, not good after 3-4 days of rain. Had a nice tumble (eventually stoped), it definately looks steeper from the bottom than it does from the top.
Any way after a tidy up & getting down to searching, +1 eventually found it, much to her excitement (I think she is now hooked). A flakey sat. lock didn't help but we got there.
Thanks Gasman.

Unfortunatly, we didn't read the logs before attempting this cache and were trying to come from the top! not advisable when it has been wet, as it made things a bit slippery and scary! eventually we worked around to the road, then came up from the bottom! once the approach was right, finding the cache was easy! took nothing, left travel bug. Then headed off back to the car, uphill most of the way! Thanks for the challenging find!
Wow ... I'm still alive! After thoroughly searching the area (a.k.a. steep and slippery cliff face) 15m uphill from the large gum tree for 45 minutes, my GPSr then decided that the cache wasn't there any more. Checked out where it now said it was, and SUCCESS! Boy, was I glad to find this one ...
Came at it from above (not the recommended option) but left from below. A beautiful spot, and I never knew that this Dam was here ... I'll have to bring the other half of TeamMinx here for a look.
Oh, and I had two attempts at this one today, too ... the first approach directin was VERY wrong!
No swaps, but as I was filling out the log at approx 11:30am, I heard music playing ... it turns at that the alarm was going off on the Fold-up clock that was left in there! How's that for good timing!
Thanks Gasman, I'm glad we can finally cross this one off of our list.

Think I found the relatively easy way into this cache. 3km of track with nothing really steep! Nice hidding spot and a good view as well. Took the wallet & left a digital clock. Cheers.
I remember coming here as a child on the bikes from down below. This is a failure of a project? Someone may be able to explain.
Found easily enough after walking over from Magpie Gully.

This was the nearest cache to home that I had yet to do so set off with just the dog along for the 4k hike. Luckily I found it fairly quickly because it made me realise that my youth is long gone while scrabbling around on these steep and slippery slopes.
Took batteries in case no one else comes here for a while, and a blue frog. Left a new wallet.
Thanks for the experience Gasman, the view is pretty neat.

Didn’t read the map closely and realise how much of an obstacle the dam is (Damn ) and came in from the wrong side initially. Spent the day grabbing other caches in the district and worked my way around to the right side. A pleasant 4km walk in and out around 1700h. Agree that the approach from above is not the way to go. While making my way up to the cache, gravity was exhibiting its characteristic effect and had me slipping and sliding all over the place. Finally got there and swapped a blue frog for a Jacobs Creek air horn. It made an excellent racket right across the valley to the dam wall . Thanks a lot for bringing me here Gasman. Cheers.
Fourth for today, this has felt like one of the longest days of caching in a while. Found with my mate Jake and bro Tysonium, alas Miss Volley was a work today and missed the fun. This cache was much easier than I thought it would be, as Tysonim mentioned I pretty much walked straight up to the cache. Took HS Taz TB, left hooter and whistle. Thanks Gasman, a nice walk in the park.
Found it with Karl from Team Volley and his mate Jake, this was my third attempt at this cache, and it was Karl who was able to walk straight up to the cache. Not fair really. Took H S TAZ TB and left a hooter, and a whistle of some Jacob's Creek quality. I was a bit hesitant jumping over the gate that said NOTICE: NO ENTRY, unless authorized, i figured that i was authorized so we jumped the gate. i figure it was a sign of public safety then anything else.
YAY FOR US

I learnt the hard way that the wrong way to attack this cache is by coming from above, fortunately I won't have to do it again. It is a beautiful location though, hope the photo has done it justice.
Came here for one reason only.
Took TB Code Key for Unlock The Mystery YEAH my 1st one also took 2005 Diary. L TB H.S. Taz & 6 Dolphin Coasters.

A while since this has last been visited, so I thought it would be a good place to leave one of Langy's keys for Unlock The Mystery. It's a fair hike down from the carpark where our 4WD club meetings are held every month, and I know I ended up taking the long way in (as I found a much more direct way back). GPS initially wanted me a bit down the hill so I ignored it and headed for a likely spot about 20m away to find the cache. By then the GPS had a rethink and thought I was only 3.6m out. Oh well.
Took a plastic insect, left a 2005 diary, some Intencity vouchers and TB The Code Key. Thanks Gasman.

This was on tricky cache, particulalry with the GPS on battery saver mode! After nearly giving up, we went back for one more look and luckily spotted it around 1900 hrs. Hint: Do NOT do this one in the dark
Left: New Zealand $2 coin
Took: Bike Helmet Cover

We were a little nervous about this one after reading a few of the log entries. But luck was on our side, we didn’t need to swim, or perform any other wall climbing acts. In fact, after expecting the worst, this one fell into place nicely. Thanks Gasman. No swaps today.

Found by Team Piggy.
Equipped with Superior 4TD (4 Trotter Drive) Piggy came directly across grabbing the Magpie gully cache on the way thru.(about a 4-5 Kilometre round trip).
Came down from the top of the hill above the cache, very very Steep, almost had to switch on the Piggy Grass Magnets! You think it's steep coming from below, try the top way !
Took Nothing & Left Nothing.

Grr, spent 30min in the rain and mud trying to find it. second chance to find it, and not found. Will have to try again soon, in the dry. Not found by Tyson, Rachael, Lexie and Michael.
Cheers anyway, i am cold.

Was going to give it a go last night.... got to the southern end of the wall to discover the the cache was another 200m away on the other side of the very flooded sturt creek, if you've never seen the wall hold back water, have a look, i used to walk down the very bottom of the creek, will attempt this cache some other time.
Finially made the walk into this cache. This time we went straight to the site. Not sure what will happen to the box when we get the 36m flood on July.
Found at about 3:45
Well, we must have done it the hard way. Down and up the West side of the wall. Lots of scrambling, with two children, and I had to carry the dog.
Left wasp finger puppet, took some marbles.
Decided to take a shorter route back. We all took our gear off and swam naked back on the Eastern side. I did a few trips carrying clothes, shoes, GPS etc above my head.
Christopher thinks this was the best cache ever, and gave the day a five out of five.

Struggled with this one from the wrong side of the wall. Very hard work even getting within 100m of the site.
I came in from the Backwood side - much longer but much easier. Great location Gasman. Took a Coopers beer and left some batteries.
Found by Bruce. We tried to find the back route but couldn't so did THE TREK. Liz watched on anxiously while Bruce clambered around. Took a while but he eventually came up with the goods. Took the car and left a soft helmet cover. While Liz was waiting some people came by who had walked from Blackwood and found themselves on the wrong side of the dam. Gave them some help and then suddenly some recognition from one of the parties. The lady was someone Liz had lived with in Darwin, spent Cyclone Tracey with and corresponded with over the years but had not seen for many as they lived in Alice Springs. They waited for Bruce's return and we drove them back to Blackwood, had lunch etc. What a wonderful chance meeting - Liz was happy she had stayed against the wall for this revelation.
Found by Team GeoCoopers. After one heck of a trek, and over an hour of searching we finally found it. Took Puffer Fish, left Beer Mug and Penguin. Meet up with Phelix in the Bush, and worked as a Team. Liz, Bruce and a few friends also showed up to attempt this cache but left to look for an easier way in, but we didn't see them return.
Found by Phelix. After meeting up with Team GeoCoopers in the thick of it, would'nt have found without correct Long/ Lat. Don't want too many of the moutain goat trecks. Great workout.
Thanks Team GeoCoopers
