Wow no finds in ages. The cache is still Alive and well.
I heard about this cache from the CO Yurt after i congratulated him on the FTF on my very first find in Dame Mary Gilmore GC4MTRX.
The co informed me that this cache was still there though archived and that with his blessing i could head out and find it.
Well i was in need of a cache and after AFL 9's on monday night and made the find quite fast as the cache was half exposed. Moved a few spiders webs and was able to make my find and log the cache.
Gotta say thats its pretty cool the cache is still there and hasnt been taken though there is a pare of bonds jocks just near GZ as well as a few condom wrapers. Watch where you step. Would love to see this cache active again.
Thanks for the heads up on this one yurt and thanks for keeping it there.

After finding the new cache nearby I checked to see if this really had returned. Lo and behold it was there - I retrieved the TB which isn't listed here - and checked the log which is getting pretty full. I don't know if it's less than 161m from the new cache but I might look at unarchiving this one. If so I'll replace the log. The area is a lot cleaner than last time I checked although there's still some possibly unsavoury traffic to the toilet block nearby.
Stay tuned.
Stay tuned.
Believe it or not i was actually looking at putting a cache in this area but seeing as though it has one of yours here ill respect the space and move on to another location hope this cache is once again active.
I was driving by for a comfort stop and having found this previously, checked it out.
Its still there and only 2m away from the original hide , same container which is in good nick.
Located in a similar hidey hole just moved.
Keep it going Yurt. Adds a reason to stop and I think in a safer place than before.

Sadly this one didn't see in another Christmas. Inspected GZ today and the cache is definitely gone along with the TB. The area is a disgusting mess - it looks like tramps have moved it - there were chickens living in the bushes with water trays and food. No point putting a cache back here.
Thanks to all who made the find over the last couple of years.
The other end of the park may be better suited to a cache if someone wants to place one.

I have logged a find on this cache before but was revisiting it to drop off a game piece TB.
The cache isn't there!

Found it but...
Completely waterlogged, illegible paper and no trackables to be seen:(

Was in the area and on the way back home when i decided to grab this one. After getting close to the gz i was surprised as three chickens came out of the scrub and started scratching around. Very free range hens. Left to coins to continue the journey. Tftc
I came to Westleigh this morning to do the new Wherigo cache in the area. I decided to skip most of Pennant Hills Road by heading towards Richmond to get home. I happened to notice this cache was within easy distance of the road as I passed, and there was an easy place to stop. So I grabbed this cache on the way past. Thanks
This was a good break for us. On our way home (ACT) from our long week end in Nelson Bay. Kids loved playing in the park. And two of us took the opportunity to use the amenities. After that we grabbed the found, we hidden and great cammo. Funny how when we parked there was a cop car there as well
Driving past on the way to Castle Hill and decided for a quick stop. A quick and easy find, took the GC.
Thanks for the cache Yurt!
best wishes,
Wal

Quick drive by indeed. Came to grab another clue for evil nemesis. Took Hawkeye TB
Nice quick find and the first one with my new GPS that I got for mothers day thanks
Came here with the kids on a Friday morning, thought it might be quiet. The area is a bit seedy with a couple of old men hanging around the nearby toilets, but the cache is far enough away and out of sight that it's only a minor distraction.

Always driven past, never stopped before. Very nice spot so close to a major road. Nice container, good hide. SL TFTC
Great cache hidden really well, took us a while to find it .
Took the travel bug, left a carabina.

Great find on our way from Melbourne back to the central coast! Have dropped a travel bug here today.
Our lunch break on our way to the Hunter Valley. A family of magpies wanted to join us for lunch & even their best warbles couldn't convince us to share. Rolled my ankle on the way back to the car - looks like Terrain 1 only for me now. TNLN SL TFTC
Unfortunatey the TB 'Invisible Pink Unicorn' was indeed invisible as it was not in the cache this evening.
Dropped by this cache on the way home to Newcastle after visiting family nearby for Easter. The hunt was made tricky by a couple of suspicious looking muggles in the vicinity of GZ but fortunately the hide was nicley tucked away out of their line of sight. The cache was a little exposed so recovered better. TFTC.
Found quickly enough but as I placed it back I turned around and there was a muggle looking strait at me! Hope they don't tamper with it.
Quick easy find after a visit to Koala Park up the road. Thanks. Great for the geokids. SL.
Found with black bunny and just a cacher on the way up to sydney.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Sudden decision to take a drive to Sydney - something to do with frogs, I gather - I don't know, I just go along for the ride and the caches.
Anyway, we found a few caches, and a few frogs, and had a good time.
We decided to head for this one because of the name of it, and we were not disappointed - either with the cache or the facilities.
Thanks, Yurt!

A quick grab with Just a cacher and Candy Cane 101 on a run up to Sydney to catch up with blossom* and Strike a Light. A quick break in the drive to admire the park.
Thanks for the cache Yurt
Thanks for the cache Yurt
Went to grab this one but there was a couple of particularly creepy/suspect looking gentelmen who appeared to be watching me so I abandoned the hunt. Will have to come back some other time.
Found fairly quickly but had to wait for a muggle to leave before searching. Thanks
Last find for 2011
Been past this little park hundreds of time over the past 20+ years

Nice quick find, although we were a bit nervous as the cache was guarded by a harmless bunny that could leap about ???. TFTC.
Nice easy find, Introduced some of venturer scouts to caching. They found it before me !
One last one for our trip up to Dural. The cache didn't cause any problems but be aware the toilet appears to be a meeting place. TFTC
A bit of a wet day today with light rain. Still managed to get some good caches located. Soon had this one found. SL TFTC

Great little find. I had to go as well, so it all worked out. Thanks for the cache! TNLN
Found by the 6 year old geokid, who was also super keen to get rid of some rubbish around GZ. Whilst we are full suppporters of 'cache in trash out' we draw the line at removing discarded mattresses! Much to the geokids disappointment thanks for the cache, a great hide.
I recently found the wonders of uploading caches onto one's TomTom - so when you drive near them.. you know!
So this one came up on my radar as I was heading north. It took a little bit of "double-take" looking - but I eventually came up with the beast. It was in good condition. TFTC "Some Random Guy"

Had to wait for a coach-load of elderly muggles to finish their toilet-break-drive-by. When they were gone it was a quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache.
Okay, Chook, Christine Vista and I had set out to do twenty caches today and so far we had 17 under our belt. We parked just outside the entrance to the park and the three of us made our way to GZ with torches in hand as it was now totally dark. We all realized what the hint meant and each began searching several of the same things and Chook was the lucky one who came up trumps. Number 18 safe in hand and only two more to go.
Reperio at 1900. Why does this keep happening to me! Pulled over and parked and made my way towards GZ. As I was nearing the cache, I had the uneasy feeling that someone was following me...and they were. Since I didn't have my headlight on, I turned around, switched it on, and looked straight at the man who was just a few meters behind. It must have caught him completely off guard, as he just froze and looked like a stunned rabbit in the beam of the headlight. He then proceeded to try and hide behind a tree that was no wider than a cricket bat, and after I took a few steps towards him, he pretty much panicked and walked away in the opposite direction.
Having been confronted before by this type of behavior...and worse , it seems that this spot is a meeting place of sorts for...well...different sorts of people. My advice is...if you're going to be here after dark...grow eyes in the back of your head, or wear steel undies!
Gratias.

Our search eventually resulted in a find, just in the nick of time, as a bus of people stopped by to use the toilets nearby.

Second find by Madison on a sunny afternoon in winter at sunset lots of bell birds to announce our arrival.
Wasn't sure what to expect with the name of this cache but it was a short walk and quick find once at GZ. Trouble came when trying to turn right back onto that busy road! TFTC!
Be careful of the guy who sits in the park that I thought may have been a Geocacher that turned out to be a guy who goes into the mens bathroom after you and offers 'services'
Quick easy find after 2 bus loads of children on excursion left.

We were on our way elsewhere but really needed this emergency stop. Although there was a large group of elderly picnickers nearby, we then searched successfully and without being watched. TNLN, thanks for this hide in a very useful spot.
