Went in after the thrill of trying to find a cache after it has been DNFd for almost a year but to no avail. Nice stream at the end though. Definately needs to be checked out though been a bit too long without a find.
Dnf. Searched for a while in lots of various places but this cache has us stumped. Found a toy car and painted rock though.
Awesome little spot, nice easy find. I would say tho have some insect repellent on as I was getting covered in mosquitoes haha
Nice little stroll in this park and down to the stream at the end. Cache found on the way in. All good here
Our first geocache, easy to find, son loved it. Bring a pencil/pen.
went to the end of reserve, so beautiful!
Cheers

Checked all the tall ones we could find, no joy! Only tried for 30min until the little one got sick of looking
Took us a wee while, but found. Good hide, live locally and had never been here before.
The box has water at the bottom of it and the stuff is soaked but nicely hidden, very smart place to hide it.
A beautiful pocket of Nikau. It was quite dark in the fading light of the afternoon but we didn't take too long to find this. Tftc
Headed South with Merlot and Pazza today for a caching trip on the shortest day of the year. It was starting to get dark as we went for a stroll in this lovely area of bush, which we had previously not visited. Once we found the right tree, we soon had the cache in hand.
My gps struggled under the canopy but despite this it didn't take too long to stumble upon the cache. A cool stream at the end of this track.

While staying with some friends in Pukekohe I figured I'd go on a small excursion to clean up my map. This cache was a bit of a treat as I enjoyed the wander through here. The whole area needs a spruce up as it appeared well neglected but the cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to a good hint and a straight forward placement. Cheers sp8sm8, TFTC
Thanks for showing us this place. Visited "only" to find a cache. All good at GZ. TFTC
thanks for the nice wee hide found with abcdf4 today while droping some zephyr parts to a fix it place.
It was a nice day.Mr ABCDF4 had to take something to Pukekohe. So Hop in for the ride Hopeto do some Cacheing
A very beautiful walk that I'm sure many people are unaware of! Thank you so much for bringing us here
NNice and peaceful reserve though the mozzies were looking for dinner. Took a lot longer than i should have done but found in the end.
Hi sp8sm8...
This place was the highlight of all my 20 finds on my little road trip today!
( Ranui to Taupiri )
It is truly beautiful and peaceful...especially down by the river!
Who could imagine such a haven could exist hidden away near all these busy roads!
Took photos on track and up the river, but they didn't do it justice...
Thanks for bringing me here !
Def a favourite point from me !

Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder or be angry if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!
----------
Today I made a Little trip by myself in my new Homezone area. Unfortunately I forgot the most important Thing, a pencil [xx(] . Thats why I add a Picture from the logbook to every log entry.
Wow, feels like a real Dschungel here! Tropic and many mosquitos ... Lucky, that I could find the Cache quickly!
Thanks for hiding this Cache!

Wow I love just around the corner and drive past here every day never knew it existed thank you for giving me a new chill spot.TFTC.
FINALLY got this crossed off the list of want to's. Been on the list for a few years.
Came Burt Road via caches, and now heading back home, direct up 22. Quick easy find with Godfreyh. Biting muggles were out in force. Felt at least 5. TFTC TNLNSL

Nice and easy find, thanks for showing the scenic reserve.
We didn't see any traffic cops around, might have been due to the time of the day, about 11 a.m.

Joining HKCB, 11hpg11 and iammrwalker on a geocaching mission to Pukekohe on a school night.
We had trouble finding the entrance to this cache, what was CO playing at!? Hard to see things when you're trying to find this cache at 10pm..

I decided to organise a mini night mission to Pukekohe before things got busier at work and found some other keen Geocachers in HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r to join me after putting the feelers out for any interested parties at a local event. We left about 7:30 once I got the kids into bed and left for home just after midnight. We had hoped to find more than we managed so we will have to come again and grab those we missed. A big thank you to all those CO’s for hiding and maintaining the caches we found.
It took a little hunting to find the entrance to the park in the dark but once we found it we had no trouble with the hide. TFTC.

Out and about tonight, heading to Pukekohe to clean out a few caches with Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and HKCB. We only had a few hours to spare and so we left Hamilton at 7.30 and finished up just after midnight before it was time for home for a few hours sleep so we could all be bright eyed and bushy tailed for work the next day. (silly idea!) Perhaps next time we just keep going and don't sleep!
Took longer to find the entrance to the park than it did to find the cache. Going to blame the darkness! Also my drink just sprayed all over me so I was more focused in trying to dry off. A quick find at GZ, while everyone else was looking on the otherside.

Teamed up with Iammrwalker, 11HPG11 and Kyb3r for a night raid on Pukekohe. I've been wanting to find a few caches up here for a while but never had the time or other missions got in the way. Had heard talks of this night raid at an event recently and quickly put my hand up to tag along. It turned out to be a very successful mission, even with the handful of DNF's we had. A big thanks to the CO's who's caches we found. Signed the logs as HOAC to save room.
Made a bit of a mare of this one as we took a few minutes before we spotted the enterance of this park and nearly walked up someones driveway. Didn't take long to spot this one, looks like a neat bit of bush from the small park we saw. Thanks for the hide.

Had two junior cachers with me + a muggle friends, the juniors wanted to find a regular-sized cache as they were hoping for trades. Looked for a while wihin about a 20m radius at all items that matched the hint, but no joy.
Will have to watch this one.

This reserve was an unexpected surprise. Beautiful mixed podocarp/broadleaf remnant with lots of birdlife. Quickly located the cache then continued on to the stream. TFTC!
I rolled into Paerata early this morning from the east
Which was a good thing as there was a Police car blocking the south bound lane of the highway,
and a Policeman detouring all traffic along Tuhimata Road.
Which explained why there was such a surprising amount of traffic going the other way on a twisty backroad
The copper didn't try and stop me heading south,
so I headed for the local shop and parked.
Just across the road I found the delightful Paerata Scenic Reserve.
What a surprise !!
It took a while for the eyesight to adjust to the sudden darkness.
And when it did I was treated to a the sights of a mossy, ferny forest glade
If there are any 'faeries' in NZ then they might live here
I did find a cache living here
TFTC.
I discovered the reason for the roadblock a short drive south at the intersection with Heights Road.
Police were conducting yet another Accident Investigation

only god knows why, but i started a stretch t see if i could get a least one a day till christmas. Needed to be strategic about it so chose to go in the opposite direction from my usual route to work.
Used GPS under canopy which lead me to GZ and low and behold, first place i looked was the cache. It did help that it was a little exposed. I opened the prize to sign the log and damn.....left my pen in the car. So back i trudged to retrieve pen and sign the log. Cache covered with some more natural camoe, but not to much to make it impossible to find.
Never knew this reserve existed despite having driven past it many times.
All intact

Found in the end but took ages. feel there needs to be a better hint as everyone ends up searching all through the bush and not really cool to be trampling all through the small bushes/trees. Last day of our 4 day road trip from Hawkes Bay to Auckland and back to collect as many caches as we can. Log signed as b&p.Tftc
I found this area to be very scenic and quite relaxing, with no one about, shade and birds, all very nice.
The cache was found pretty quickly and replaced with better coverage.
I didn't see any cops on arrival or departure.
Thanks for the cache sp8sm8
I have logged this cache as part of 12-12-12: A Challenge? http://coord.info/GC42CNY

This was my second visit to this cache...still no joy...will come back again another day.
On the way south to pick up some hay so taking the opportunity to visit a random collection of caches as we have not been here since starting this past time. We did walk to the end and it is picturesque - what a clear stream! The cache container was in full view though so after logging we covered it up really well (we hope - don't believe previous loggers could have left it so exposed so maybe the weather had a hand?). Container quite wet inside. We'd never have visited this spot had it not been for the cache so thank you sp8sm8!
Had been chasing a series of caches which had bought me down to Pukekohe.
On the way back home I stopped and took a wander through this park to claim this cache.
A quick easy find and log signed.

Lots of tall stuff here, in a lovely piece of bush. It's great to find these otherwise hidden gems. I have scooted past here many times.

GPS a bit jumpy-thought this might be a mission but managed to choose the right one straight away-tftc(Log was wet -didn't have a replacement sorry)
The start of a new Geo License Challenge... Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I are on the trail of a variety of cache types, sizes, and difficulty and terrain ratings. Staying dry is also going to be a challenge... It looks likd the rain is going to be a feature for most of the day...
A nice little roadside bush walk... The iPhone gps swung all over the place and kept us busy searching for several minutes. It pointed adamantly to one side of the path, but after much swinging this way and that, the needle suddenly jumped to the other side... What a nuisance! There are lots of big 'hints' here. We got the right one in the end. TFTC.

No traffic police spotted on our way to this one.
We are so pleased we did this, what a magic place! Coverage was useless, so we just went on the hint and after becoming acquainted with most of the older residents of the park, we met the right one.
A fav from us for showing us this wonderful spot.

We debated stopping to look for this one as it was getting close to the time we were due to meet a friend for lunch in Papakura, but I'm so glad we did. What a lovely bush reserve full of beautiful trees, which made it a bit hard for the gps to settle so we just checked all the possibilities and it didn't take too long before we found it and headed on way to a lovely lunch. TFTC
Didn't know this was here even though driven past lots of times. Found with Em Cee Kiwi on way to get minicachers from camp. Wrote C5 & MCK to save space
Good job I was with Crusing 5 as my unit put me on one side of the path while hers put her on the other andhers turned out to be more accurate.
Did create some debate over whose was bigger but the cache was signed and then safely tucked up in its bed...
Thanks for bringing us to this lovey little reserve...
and we were lucky, there were no cops today

Found on the way home from Pukekohe. Needed the clue as the GPS wasn't getting a good signal. TFTC
This has been on my list to do a long time, today jumped off bus to make the find, GPS had me going round on wrong side of path, time was approaching to be out for next bus, and mozzies were wanting a feast ! so decided to use c;geo on phone, it took me straight to other side of path, and there it was Lol !, log damp, SLTNLN, TFTC.
Out and about in the area today. Nice spot here. GPs led us on a merry dance for sometime until it settled enough to find GZ. SL. TFTC.
Drive past here often for meetings out in Puke. but usually no parking spaces...taken up by trucks, but tonight there was no one around so decided to take a look at this one. I knew the trees would play havoc with the GPS, so tried old school mapping practises which worked a treat.
Nice little area at the end of the track.

Found quickly by Master 6. He even navigated to it too. Good job. Cache wet but the logbook is dry in its two bags. Ta
Who would have known about this patch of bush just by driving by. Cache in good order. Grabbed TB.
12.15pm. This turned into a longer hunt than it should have been but I blame erratic gps signal. All I could do was widen my search radius progressively and eventually as time was running out I located the prize. Nice reserve with good mature trees. Enjoyed it all and think it rates for a favourite. Left a TB and a signature pathtag.

Loved this little reserve. Nicely kept after, but no one to see it.
After finding the cache, we headed down the track to find a nice little surprise at the end.

Found it on the opposite site of the track, could not sign in the notebook as there was no pencil.
Nice little walk, never knew it was there before and we drive past it at least twice a week.

New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 2. The bush was wet after today's on and off again rain, but it was a nice walk and the GPS put me pretty close to it despite the water and trees about. Thanks.

GPS having difficulty with the trees, but after a while was able to fix on a likely hiding place, after searching in opposite direction! Worth the walk to the end, full of suprises.
First for the day...found on a quick stop on the way to Puke. Picked up very cool little trackable to keep it traveling. TFTC
A nice bush walk through the palms to secure an easy to find cache.
The start of a day that saw us focus on Pukekohe.

another of those: "Who knew this was here?" moment - well obviously sp8sm8 did and now the PageNZ do too. t4tc
As the most southerly cache in my current PQ this cache keeps popping up on my GPSr as I head out down south. Decided to grab it today, even if it required a bit of a detour. Super quick find. Lovely spot. Cheers for the cache placement!
Thanks for bringing me to this lovely spot I never knew was here! GPS coped ok but a bit of trial an error was required at the end. TFTC.
Such a lovely afternoon, so decided to stop for this one today. Wouldn't have noted the reserve otherwise Nice hide, TFTC
