Although we live not far away had no idea this little patch of bushland was even there. The neices and nephew had a great time.......real city folk, they felt like this was just like bushwalking.......hmmmm maybe I need to get them out of town a little more. This was the first cahe they'd done that had a stash and they loved it. TFTC
Shouldn't be said that it's still working/available if someone's taken it away. We spent a while looking for the cache only to find out after going back through previous logs that it's not even there. Either take it down from the geocaching website or put it back!!! [:(!]
cache has been muggled and owners have not logged on since oct 2010.
so doesnt look like it will be replaced.
needs to be taken off so no more people try and find a non existent cache.

Out for a morning caching run with Deputy Dog and SherpaNT.

Got my first injury getting to this one... A really obvious trail that will get you straight there... If you see it that is OTHERWISE there's some nice spikey bushes that will guide you there haha
Was waterlogged and book was wet straight through...
Took nothing but left a cute moo cow key ring

When we got here we saw the lid on the ground and bits were thrown all over the place. TFTC
Sorry the baxter boys but as soon as I'd gotten to ground zero I found the lid of the sistema container lying on a rock. I also found the contents, (logbook, travel bug, swaps) on the ground. We put the contents into the container and hid it best we could, so I would highly recommend maintenence on the cache. TFTC
Cheers

This cache was the main reason we were caching in this area today because I was after the Catch Me If You Can TB for a mystery cache in Sydney. Unfortunately, someone has found the cache and has left it on the ground with its contents scattered about. The log book was in very poor condition, although I managed to sign it, and I suspect some of the contents are now lost. We picked up everything we could find and replaced the cache in its spot (there was an impression of the cache container where we rehid it) Unfortunately the TB I was after is missing, although the clue sheet it was attached to was still there, so I'll contact the owner. Thanks for placing the cache here. Hope you can fix it up soon.
This was a lovely spot with a nice outlook. Unfortunately, looks like school holidays has taken its toll on another cache. Suspect that a kid has found it and strewn everything except the TB which was missing. The team packed it up as best we could and rehid it, but it needs maintenance. Thanks for bringing us here. Glad we found it before some other muggles did! TFTC
As usual I came in the hard way, in this case from a forgotten path between two houses, and stepped into some water in the creek..
A quick find once at GZ, thanks for another hidden piece of suburbia to explore.

Did not have my Tom Tom with me this time so a bit of street bashing was needed to get close to GZ. Found the track and then without breaking my neck had the Cache also.Sat down to open the Cache and heard Muggle voices.Have a hearing problem and it is hard to tell what direction a voice is coming from.Try to open the Cache again- Muggle voices.Try to open- Muggle Voices.Try to open-Muggle Voices.Blow it I can't do this all day. That's not Funny . TFTC Gotcha16
TFTC! Loggin alot today, so sorry theres no spcific message about the cache, but I really do enjoy every cache I find
I'm ashamed to say I took the hint literally from my closest GZ and nothing made sense where the hint was concerned, I checked all the obvious places but turned up nothing. I had to make a P.A.F for this one and as the call was made I could see the error of my ways....alls good found the cache in the end, TNLN Thanks for the cache
Halted by Hail...Dagnabbit..
P.S. Would be interesting to know where the old bridge was!
I changed this to a note rather than DNF because I didn't really get to look too hard before the hail started, but I will be back!!

Wow caching in the dark is fun... Walked around the wrong way at first to no avail then found a nicer way in! TFTC!
Abel A used to go the the high school up the road from the GZ and didnt know this area existed, so he was quite suprised at how the well kept clearing could be so easy to miss. GZ was nice and picturesque for a creekside cache. Found it easily. TFTC. great first cache, have to get moving on ours!!
Found this one after work. No GPS but I had a good look in this area not two weeks before this one poped up as I was thinking of moving one of my caches around here actually nothing is more fun than an old skool hunt no gps just instinct lol tftc great hide tn ln

We were in the area today and had intentions of doing this cache - we have a list we work down - when I realised I hadn't downloaded the file for this one on my GPS. Most annoying. We weren't ignoring you!

When I read the cache description I thought "Oh, yeah, I remember that bridge". And stopping to think back my earliest recollection of the old bridge was somewhere around my early teens, that was a while ago. Thanks Baxter Boys for rekindling that memory and what a good spot it would have been to play Billy Goat Gruff.
What you walk across now is one part of the flood mitigation works done along this creek many years ago. Which in my opinion has done more damage than good. Where the cache is placed is at the bottom of the dam wall (for want of a better term), if you walk up to the track that runs across the top of the dam you can see several large gum trees. Years ago this valley was dominated by these gums. Also, many years ago people use to bushwalk from down near the railway station up this creek and then onto locations like Freers Crossing on the Georges River. Don't think you would bother with this creek now days. Sorry, I tend to prattle on a bit when I get reflective.
Out for a spin on my mtb around the tracks in Kentlyn and decided this was only a few extra k's and the cache description was playing in my head so I decided to head over and find it. Rode in from the Colong Crs side and a muggle couple were standing with a metre of where I thought the cache was (I didn't have my GPSr so had to make a guess where it was from memory). Kept going and headed up to the track on top of the dam to wait them out. Glad I did this as I spotted what looked like Red-Capped Robins darting around the place putting on a show. The couple moved on and I headed back. Had to be cautious as cleated riding shoes aren't the best things for walking around damp areas (did I mention the spitting rain). Found the cache in no time and signed the log as the rain started to spit more frequently.
Rode home past the Scout hall, past the old house of a mate from school and the good looking girl who lived across the road from him. Got home just as the real rain started, what good timing.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, another reason why geocaching is so good.

FTF at 19:10 Just about to turn off the computer as we had to catch up with friends at the Tennis Club when I saw this FTF come up and being only a kilometer away from the club – how could I not have a crack at it on the way. And sure enough a quick hunt around and BINGO there it was with an empty log book. Exchanged swaps and left TB thanks The_Baxter_Boys, keep them coming! .
