aren't you suppose to write something on the log sheet before you can say you have found a cache?? i do not think you can log a find if you have found something where maybe it had been??

Was excited to pick up this cache today in a very warm and sunny, picturesque spot - however, looks like it's definitely been muggled. Will send CO pic of what I found to confirm my suspicions. Sadly, no container to be found, so cannot complete this mission. Sounds as if you've had a few muggle issues at this location. Thanks for the effort anyway, masmpk. Enjoyed being lead here. Cheers!

No muggles around this afternoon but the cache was found under the watchful eyes of a flock of cockatoos. The container was a little exposed, but maybe that's just because we were looking for it. TFTC

I have been a long time fan of kayaks Smile
Over the years I have clocked up well over 10,000 kms in them Razz

When I lived in Albury, my favourite paddle was from the canoe club downstream to the junction of the Murray and Wodonga Creek, then paddle against the current up Wodonga Creek to rejoin the Murray a few kilometres upstream of where I started Big Grin
A fantastic circular paddle !!

The cache find this morning was a nice easy one thanks to the rain keeping muggles away Big Grin

We were staying nearby overnight on our way to points south. Wandered over to this pleasant riverside park prior to dinner. Quite a warm evening and there were a lot of people about but fortunately no one within eyeline of the cache which we quickly retrieved & replaced. Nice park and the river seemed to have a good flow. There were a number of people floating down on various rubber contraptions and the odd canoe.

My new mantra should be - always read the description, always read the description...you get the idea! Once we read the description properly the find was pretty easy. Good to visit the canoe club as I have been a member of a few in Melbourne and raced against some of these folks in my time. Thanks!

02-Jan-13
We had to go back to the description for this one. Once we found the right corner we found the cache!

[red]Summertime in Oz Trip[/red]

The grass area was full of people and families, on this hot summer day, seeking the water for a swim, or just the park for a great day out of air conditioning. The brittle grass crispered when walking over it, sweat and dust on our skin. An often sought rest on our trips along the Hume, for a drift swim in fresh water. The Arkaroo grew up at the Amper river in bavaria, which is of similar current and strength, and also the water quality is good, in contrast to the outback muddy rivers. It's coming from the alps! So we went up as far as the park reaches, and drifted underneath the trees. A quick sprint to the other side or against the current. Getting out, maybe another sprint across and back, a challenge with the current. Bit of diving and fun, TFTCM!

A very warm night behind us and the prospect of a 40 degree day ahead. The aircon worked so we slept well. I woke up early and thought this it's the best chance to give the dog some exercise so we headed to the park down the road. Saw some pretty cool playgrounds so will have to get yes kids down here before it gets too hot. This is a beautiful place especially before the sun rises. Such a mighty river. I would be tempted to get a canoe if the club was open. Might have to come back later. As for the cache I looked at the hint and them found in the second place I searched. Thanks for bringing me here- a favorite. TFTC

Found 5:14pm , find # 1743
Today we had a sight seeing day around Albury, combined with caching. Well, rather we had a caching day which lead us to see lots of the local sights.
This cache was number find # 14 of 15 for the day.
The cache was nicely hidden and found in good condition however the log is full and needs replacing.
This is probably one of those places we would not have seen without a cache placement here.
Thanks masmpk,

Great little cache, though log is full! TFTC!!!

(Found with ywurry and gonefishen07)

This was the last for the day with gonefishen07 before we parted ways. This is a very pretty and well patronised area. The ammenities are very well maintained. After doing our good deed for the day (refer gonefishen07's log), ywurry quickly had the cache in hand.

TFTC!

P.S. Sorry for the late log.

28-Oct-12
Found while in the area with Anderka Ywurry and geochild. Last ditch attempt to do some caches before we have to go home after attending the event the day before. Unfortunately this is our last cache as it is time to head home. We left this cache on a high and feeling pretty happy with ourselves. Started looking for this cache Anderka had to go to loo and Ywurry and geochild are checking out the water , while looking for the cache I see a little boy about 4-5 yrs old pushing his bike crying for his mum. I went to ask him where she was and he said he didn't know. After a bit of a discussion with him I said come on we will go see if we can find her. Thinking OMG where do we start. Yelled to Ywurry and geochild told them what was going on and can you tell Anderka I am heading this way to see if we can find this little boys mum. It was very hard to get a straight story about what his mum looked like as he was pretty upset. The others finally caught up and we kept heading back the way the little boy had come hoping we would find his mum. Anyway to cut a long story short after about 15 mins we manged to find his mum whom was panic stricken until she seen her son. I can only imagine the grief she was feeling not knowing where her son was and wondering how they had manged to get separated. She and her walking partner where extremely grateful for what we had done. It was a great feeling to see the joy in there eyes when they are re united. The little boy grabbed hold of his mum and he wasn't about to let his mum go.
After parting with them we headed back to the cache discussing how lucky that it was we had found her. Now to the cache Ywurry made the find here in the end. Singed and replaced.
The log is full and needs replacing. TFTC

Great spot and a beautiful morning with many muggles enjoying the spring.. Having returned an adventurous yet distressed child to his panicked mother (probably the worst 15mins of her life), we found this clever little cache!
