Cache has needed maintenance for months now from numerous requests and has now been muggled. CO has not been online since 2010.
Now I'm home from my night cache, I see the cache has been muggled. That explains why I couldn't find it. Bummer
Found the cache however, it was empty and the lid is gone. Safe to say this cache is no longer.
Little brother had footy game so lots of muggles but still found it secretly without been spotted.TFTC!!!
We also left some swaps for other geocachers.

Easy find. No 10 for the night. The log is very wet. You can still sign it using the pencil in the cache. TFTC
Nice easy find. No one around today. Cache was a bit wet inside. Logbook is wet and unusable. I dried everything out as best I could and put some silica packets inside as well. Sadly I didn't have a spare logbook. Thanks for the interesting history about the trams. Apart from the rules of being polite and driving at a set speed, I wonder what the other 68 rules that the tram drivers had to obey were!!
I gather the difficulty rating is due to muggles?
A quick find without being seen.
The cache is waterlogged and could do with being dried out.
Took nothing and left $100

Well, here I am in Cheltenham once again. While the car's finally being repaired, I'll see what I can find on the mountain bike.
Huh... I thought this was going to be a curly one, but with nobody around this part of the reserve (unlike Saturday's teeming masses), it was easy to make the grab. Cheers.

No problem finding this cache on a hot 40° day, some interesting reading inside. Thanks year nine who must be year ten by now.
Found it after a bit of searching. It is hidden very well but not too difficult.
May need a new pen though.

Went for an evening walk with friends we were staying with. This cache was our destination and their first cache - well done Jeremyruby on finding this one.....TFTC

Located fairly quickly in the only spot around that could possibly conceal a cache of this size. Not quick enough to keep the geokids amused and they charged across the oval to the playground.
Thanks thedds for the cache.

Parked near GZ and made the find quickly. The difficulty rating here is way too high as it just requires a little shoe lace faking and you will be fine.
Thanks for the cache, thedds.

The first one of the day, because it was the nearest. The caretaker is well informed, he gave the box in my Hands, with a very big smiling in his face. THX for the quick support!
Thanks for the difficult hide!

Grabbed a few caches in the Black Rock area in between work appointments - gotta love it when you can combine work and caching! On a weekday there were a couple of dogwalking muggles around so I was able to look without feeling too self-conscious. The clue led me astray at first, and then I found a football in the undergrowth. Eventually I found the container and signed the log on a nearby bench in the sunshine.
I reckon it's on a peninsula rather than an island...

Finally managed to collect this cache after 7 failed attempts due to high muggle activity in the area. This is one VERY busy park. Football training most nights, night tennis and busy all weekend.
Only one little swappable in the cache - took matchbox car, left coin token. Signed the log.
thanks for the cache Thedds

Having to come to Melb on another matter, I decided to take advantage of the day off to grab a few caches in the SE suburbs. Had a good look all around the area, but no luck today.
Thanks anyway thedds

Found with sirj-oz after he easily found it. Hooray! Lovely night to b caching =)

Find #344
Seventh of nine for the night
Again the PT and I had a short night to ourselves to go and find a cache or two. The usual car is in the shop getting an overnight service, so tonight we had a loan car. What a shame it was a nice little convertible! And on such an excellent night too! Oh well, guess we'll have to drive with the top down.
A well presented cache and thankfully a relatively easy find tonight after our previous failure at another project cache.
Thanks for the fun and the hide

Found this one while I was in the area today. Had to wait for the groundsman and a couple of muggles to go away first though. Thank you
Tftc. Log book full. Did not realise the extent of the tram network. What a great asset it would be now.
Found at 7:30 AM GAFF5 in the company of maccamob. This was our rendezvous point for the mornings caching and already there were muggles walking their woofers around the oval. We had to search a bit for the cache which was deceptively well camouflaged.
Thanks thedds
Thanks thedds
Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass, at 0725. Met pprass here for a day's caching. Made a couple of passes around GZ before looking at it a different way and spotting the container. Our thanks to thedds.
My eldest son was onto this one like a shot. I was reading the clue and expecting a long haul when he spotted the cache and smiled like only a 10 year old could TFTC SL
Unfortunately I was muggled out by dog walkers. Came all the way from N QLD to this one oh well...
Found on a cold, wet evening caching with Burge. This was our second attempt at this cache after our earlier attempt was thwarted by a footy match. The coordinates were perfect and we were on the cache in no time. Thanks for the really interesting information about the trams - I wish they were still running today!
cool, this is not a 4 star diffulty, more 1.5.

Beautiful day to go on a caching walk. Why is it that a cache is always easy to grab but when you want to put it back the muggles all appear. I managed to sneak it back though. I enjoyed the history lesson on the cards. thanks for the cache.
I just managed to find a blank page in the middle of the logbook. Needs a replacement pretty soon.
A very quick find on the way home from work this afternoon. Quite surprised about the high 4* Difficulty rating - more like a 1.5.
Enjoyed the reading material inside. Would be good to see this published on the cache page. I like a cache with a bit of a history lesson.

Wow, the history here was really interesting.. I felt I didn't have time to sit down and take it in under the potential watchful eye of muggle neighbours.. I've just done some research and found 4 Tram Museums in Victoria. I'll orgainise a few famtes for a visit in the not too distant future.. one of the photos in the cache of a tram storage area looks very familiar, is it in Sydney??
Thanks for the cache, and find #1478 Dipped Go Go Mobile TB and Night Caching coin..

Another busy day in and around melbourne searching for geocaches. Soon had this cache located. SL Thanks for the fun!
I agree that this is not a 4 star D rating. Even more I wonder that this did not get muggled so far. Very obvious.
But an awesome history. TFTC

There was a footy game in progress with heaps of muggles to-ing and fro-ing which worked in my favour as I was just one more person in the myriad and they were all to busy with each other to even look at me. Thanks to thedds for the hide.

Sixth on our Beaumaris caching run.
There were a lot of people at the football club when we were there.
Once at the right place we had it very quickly.
Thanks dds for the cache.

On a caching run on this beautiful sunny and warm winters day in the Aspendale Gardens, Mordialloc and Beaumaris Area.
Parked my car in the car park and went for a walk around, there were heaps of muggles walking dogs as well as simply kicking the footy around. Nobody seemed to be paying attention to me, so I started the search and was able to make the find super quick. Cache seems a bit exposed, but i guess its lasted this long.... Like the previous finder (Trainrunning), not sure why the difficulty is rated 4, seems more like a 1.5, unless of course you wait for a cricket or footy match to be playing.
Anyway, thanks to thedds for the cache, TNLN.

After completing a few caches in the afternoon in Glen Waverley, I headed south for the evening to pick up a number of caches in the Black Rock area of Melbourne. The night was cool, but as I was racing around looking for caches things got a little heated. This was a cache on my radar for the evening.
It was a cache I’d previously left alone because it was not in a location I usually frequent. The cache was found rather quickly (not sure its rated 4 stars) and the log signed. Then back to the car for another find nearby.
Thanks to theedds for the cache.

I had looked for this several months back but too many cricketers were milling around. Today the full team was present and Meg & Roy came too. The scene was much quieter although a painter assured us that the container was "in there" and the cache was quickly found at 10:25a. The geocoin was taken out to move on. TFTC
Muggle free area today apart from the odd dog walker so the cache was a quick find.
Out - Bear.
In - Toy Car.

#469 15th of 23 found today in Sth-East Melb. Found the cache after a short search. The high difficulty factor didn't apply today as no muggles around GZ - but the neighbour over the road was obviously watching me as he came over and asked me what it was all about - he had actually found it himself a few months earlier (probably after noticing cachers searching). He was interested but I don't think he'll be a future cacher. Took TB Hammered. Thanks thedds.
Found on a night caching run through the area. On my own tonight. Nice quick park and grab under torchlight. Great to see schools getting involved in the sport. TFTC.
I guess the difficulty rating is when the game is on. Today there were only a few muggles walking their dogs on the other side of the oval. The cache was in hand very quickly.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
We found this cache at 4:15pm as the 14th of 17 on our Up the Bay tour. Just like last visit, a car park full of cars but with no-one around GZ, we snuck in very, very quickly to log this one. One prior DNF off the list today. Thanks from D & H B-A.
