A quick find here on a very windy day. Cache and log in good condition. Thanks, rhino3004.
Admired the church craftmanship first, then explored inside. It's lovely.A quick find once at GZLeft 3 treasures. Found some amazing mushrooms outside. Thanks for the cache!
Such an amazing building. And gotta love some old school Tupperware. Wandered round the structure twice to soak it in. Fav point from us to be brought here. TFTC rhino3004!
Beautiful church, and fortunate to find one that they leave unlocked. The piano inside is gorgeous.
Nice placement for the cache too.

I diversion from Braidwood to Majors Creek. I have not been here for over 25 years since i visited the waterfall. It has certainly grown a bit since then or perhaps I can not remember. TFTC.

What a magnificent and beautiful old church. Picked up with Joolay on a drive to Braidwood and Majors Creek. Contained had some water but newer log book was dry in its baggy

We love how CO's place caches in areas we would never normally visit. We saw this bunch out at Majors creek and were intrigued to visit this little village. This has to be one of the most quaint churches we have ever seen, makes you want to get married again. Took lots of photos. Cache was sitting out in the open. Replaced it in obvious hiding spot. Tftc
Tankengine and I got up early to find a cache nearby in particular then do a few extras that have been on the “need to pick up one day” list.
It was a great morning and I even got home in time for my other commitments.
This cache: I love old churches. The cache was easily seen as I approached GZ, but looked like it should be there. Great spot. Tftc rhino3004!!!

A attempt to find the start of a nearby walking track was foiled with rain and lack of directions, so caching took over. This was the first for a weekend in the area & I spotted it while getting out of the car. Whoops!
fitzy_1965 and I decided to head over to Braidwood for the afternoon to do a bit of caching.
After Braidwood, we headed down to Majors Creek. I've never been out this way before!
Fitzy had found this one previously but stopped as we passed so I could pick it up. Quick find at GZ today.

Found at 1605 (geo-hack saw it before getting out of the car). Amazing - someone else has been geocaching in this little town today and signed this log.
#6559 3rd for today
I had to return to Braidwood to scope out a new AL and once that was done, I still had plenty of time so I ducked down to Araluen and then Majors Creek. I had intended to grab these caches as part of the Earthcache weekend while I was in area, however, walking down to Marble Arch and back pretty much used most of the day, so here we are back today. It was a fantastic for a country drive and apart from having to follow a herd of cows being driven along Majors Creek rd for about 15 mins, it all went pretty much to plan. I had no idea the road down to Araluen was so scenic, or that it dropped down so far. Some amazing views along the way.
I had to head almost all the way back to Braidwood as the road joining Araluen to Majors Creek was closed. Still worth it. There was a wallaby in the church grounds today. Quick find.
Thanks rhino3004

An afternoon out to majors creek to view a property with a friend. As noted by previous visitors log is soaking and it wasn’t the day to dry it out.
Soggy Loggy but managed to sign and put back. Never been here before despite camping in Braidwood. Tftc
Lovely old church. Thanks for bringing us here. Couldn't sign the log due to the notepad being too wet. TFTC
Waterlogged. Needs new notebook and pen, and perhaps a more waterproof container.
Spent the day in and around Mongo National Park and then to Majors Creak. The drive was easy but seeing the extremely dry and dusty open fields and forests alike it is really terrifying to think what will happen it it doesn't rain soon. Certainly makes walking in the bush dangerous with large branches and trees falling without notice particularly if the wind is blowing.
Beautiful church and interesting history. Quick and easy find. Log book is soaked and needs replacement. TFTC rhino3004.

After orienteering off Wild cattle Flat Road, I headed eastwards to Majors Creek, Araluen, Mongo National Park, Braidwood and home. Lots of dirt roads, 16 caches and only 1 DNF.
Easily found. TFTC.

Having spent an enjoyable night at Araleun, which has the best pub meals I've discovered so far, Genghicat and I are continueing with our exploration.
To avoid the return beach traffic We decided to explore Majors Creek and found ourselfs at this beautiful little church. It's surrounded by the most incredible pine trees and is probably my favourite church so far.
Cache found quickly but could really do with a different log book as the old one has been wet and mouldy. There are a few pages ok still though. Tftc

Nice place, beautiful church. The log book was a bit wet so bring a pen because the one in it was ruined. TFTC TNLN
Nice easy find while cycling to the kids on way to coast. Geokids and I were camping at the oval and just could not pass up this cache. What a beautiful cache in an even lovelier town. Everyone is so friendly. It was. Hot cycle from braidwood so we enjoyed a couple of cold drinks, softies for the kids and a well needed beer for me from the pub while we chatted to some locals Tftc
Wow! Love the old buildings that these small towns possess. A real work of art but a bit of maintenance would help keep it that way. Loved it. Kutgw
Out for a driving adventure of some local by roads, op shops and caches today. Found quickly in a lovely location. Scouted around the rest of the site before heading on.
After a few caches this morning in Canberra and decided to just drive somewhere different and ended up in majors Creek at a lovely old church. Favourite point for this one. Took all 9 trackables en route to a new home since they have been here for some months now.

Really nice church. I was a bit wary retrieving this one in case there was a snake nearby but all was good.
I have never seen so many travel bugs in one cache.

Found it. What a beautiful location. Only thing that I missed was a hint because it took me a while to find. Though it could maybe be inside.
Let lots of travel bugs so please take them on a travel!

We were here before and lost interest because the the rain. A lovely day today and it was soon spotted. Thanks rhino3004.
A lovely old building - well worth the visit even without a cache. Thanks rhino3004
A quick find as in plain sight so assume you're a parishioner. Expect to see you at church on Sunday. Lovely church which will become part of my Waymarking collection. 2 caches, 7 waymarks. Thanks.
7/3 What a lovely old church and luckily it was very quiet around these parts so muggle factor was zero . Mr Stormcatcher made the find with mnjontour. Cache contents looking okay . TFTC
What a fantastic little church in a well maintained town. This was the first time we had actually stopped here - we were very impressed. Thanks for bringing us here rhino3004
What a pity we didn't come a couple of hours earlier - wasn't expecting they would have a service here this morning. A beautiful church and a good find that shades in another blank on the calendar. Lid wasn't on properly so made sure I replaced it nice and tight. Thanks for the cache rhino3004. TNLN SL
Another one done. 4 total geocaches and 4th for the day. Container had lots of moisture in it.
This is a great little church and we enjoyed being here, but given the air of dampness inside we were surprised that there was no church roof restoration fund.
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Lovely old church and a wonderful camping spot across the road.
Thanks for the fun %OwnerName!

We were visiting Braidwood to see the gardens open this weekend, and it was a nice extension of the trip to dash down here for this cache. What a very picturesque church. Thanks rhino3004.

After living away from home for 6 months, I have managed to find all my caching associated paperwork / notes & photo's so I can (finally) log all my finds...
What a beautiful area to have a drive around... House Sitting near Moruya...
My sincerest thanks to all the cache owners for their hides & all the effort gone into them & I'm sorry for the generic log... I have seen many beautiful area's that I would not of seen or experience if not for your hides...
Thanks for bringing me here and for the cache...

Raining today. Lovely old church. Signed the new logbook, drained the small bucket. Thanks for providing an excuse to pay a visit to Majors Creek.
Thanks bbayjohn for replacing the log book, I do not have easy access to this cache.
3296. No church goers here today and a quick find. I was distracted by the detergent bottle and the glad wrap though.

Visited this picturesque little church while camping at Majors Creek. It just happened to be the one Sunday each month when the travelling pastor was holding service so we didn't disturb them but it is well worth the visit, thanks, Rhino.

Had nothing to do on a hot afternoon, so we went for a quick drive

Surprisingly quiet for a Sunday morning. Lovely old church and almost no-one around, apart from the RFS across the road who were busy shuffling trucks.

A lovely detour on the way to the coast! Really nice little town, and a lovely church! Nice quick find. Thanks Rhino!
A nice drive. This church as special meaning to me, as some of my ancestors are buried here. Thanks rhino3004.
Beautiful spot. Interesting building. Glad we made the detour on the Sunday drive. Log is slightly damp but still useable. TNLN TFTC
Pretty Churched, loved coming here. There was some sort of big do at the oval accross the road.

A nice little church and cache well worth the beautiful drive out here. I was hoping that a Sunday was not a bad time to try this but it must have been the 'off' Sunday for Services. Thanks rhino3004 !!

What a great example of the old churches that were constructed around the countryside. They were so well built and this is no exception and still beautiful and in great nick. Easy cache find after taking lots of time to study the building. We think it has a good name also, and we have one of the same name at home however it is only of timber construction and not so grand. L: keyring thanks rhino3004
Nice quick one with a first-timer Poison mushrooms under the trees, though, be warned!
GPS had me going to the wrong spot.. A look at the satellite view put me in the right spot...
TFTC nice little town.

Our second church yard find for the day.
Majors Creek has a lot of family heritage for us.
My Grandfather was born here. His family owned blocks around here extending back to his Great Grand Father.
I have an old parish map that shows the town layout in the 1920's and tried to follow it about but there have been a few road enclosures and realignments making it difficult to recognise.
I enjoyed the hunt because I knew that the cache was in the general area but the batteries went flat in the Dakota and the HTC said we were 20km away from the cache (too big an area to search). So I used some logic and without too many fails reaches made the find.
