Alas, a DNF for us.
DNF with Mtrax on our final day in Melbourne. We came down from Canberra to attend the Melbourne mega Event! And of course, find a few extra caches while we were down here! It was a nice drive, with plenty of caches found along the way. The only issue was - I had loaded 6000 caches into my GPS (just to cover me for the trip ) using a ggz file, but it seems the GPS wasn't happy about that! Luckily Mtrax had a smaller ggz file, so I copied that one, and all was good. We found 162 caches all up over the long weekend, can't complain about that.

We looked and looked but did not find.
Plenty of time to look as it is the last day of the school term and the final bang has not rung yet.

I was on the way to help at the Moonlit Sanctuary with their new wombat enclosure and I had a bit of time up my sleeve to find a cache on the way.
I have been eyeing this cache off for almost a year now, but the times I go past have always been high 'muggle times', so I never stopped to search for it.
Today was different - it was a nice cold morning, so anyone not at work or at school would be busy keeping warm.
After a quick search I found something a little bit different and found the cache.
As mentioned by previous finders - nice camo!
I signed the log and put it back safely where I had found it.

I was on the way to the Moonlit Sanctuary with the Monkey King when we stopped for this cache.
After turning the car around to park for a quick getaway, I joined the Monkey King in searching for the cache.
We soon found it, signed the log and made it to the Sanctuary in plenty of time to be given a treat - we were able to take the Dingos out for a walk!

We weren't sure what to expect with the new container, but found it in good time. I like the cammo, lets hope it lasts.

Many thanks for restoring Padley's Place. To think I spent ages looking for this one before and today we simply walked up to it, waited for the road to be clear and grabbed the log and signed. TFTC
I have checked on this and it has definately gone. New updated container will be placed soon with new and improved anti-muggle device(I hope it works).
Container is under construction as I type this, waiting for it to dry so it can be hidden.

I 'Didn't Find' it at GZ.
Will wait until confirmation before visiting this one again.

Thanks Julz76, can't wait to find it, the updated version. I feel sorry if it got lost or burnt.
Think robbo is right, it's gone for good. Whoever burnt it clearly doesn't like geo caching .
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I fear that this one might have gone. Despite a pretty good look at GZ I could not find the cache. This could be because of a couple of reasons: I missed it or the cache may have been a victim of the recent fire in the tree at GZ. I will place a watch on this one so I know when to return. Hopefully it is just me.
We spent quite a while searching for this one with no luck. We are wondering if it's still there considering it's been so long since the last find. We will give it a go again next time we are in the area if someone else finds if before then.
Out for a day caching with the geomum. Nice find. Log book a little damp but still usable
Stopped here to let the kids have a play, checked the geocaching app and sure enough there's a cache to find clever
Camo well done.
Camo well done.
Out with Geo daughter today in the pouring rain for an attempt at cleaning up a few semi-local caches not yet found.
Outer covering is coming off so note to CO to maybe repair before it gets muggled.

I just found the nearby JLC cache and this one was so close I just had to come find it. It is not very often you also find the cache owner/hider at GZ, so that was quite a surprise (not to mention getting busted in the act!!) thanks for the cache, also nice camo!

Very easy to get to the spot, but took a little bit of time to find the cache. Very clever disguise . Well done on this one. The park was deserted at the stage we arrived. A good one to find if you are travelling through Pearcedale.
Thanks

Took a little while to find! Cleverly camouflaged, thank you for the hunt and the find!
My 5yo great niece who had found it before wanted to show me where this cache was hidden, but it was not in quite the same spot so she was a little baffled. Fortunately I spotted it straight away and could then let her rediscover this well camoed cache thanks Julz76
Thankfully the park was empty today. A nice easy find, even with the cool camo. TFTC
Nice bit of cammo here, and Sully1 and I was amazed it holds on so well despite all the handling us cachers give things.
Thanks Julz76 for bringing us here

Bogonghazy and I were pretty lucky here today, maybe being Boxing Day, everyone was after the shopping Bargains, as the playgrounds were all empty. Bonus for us. Hence the cache was soon in hand and logged. Thanks to Julz76 for the cache.
Our first cache for the day as we headed off down the peninsular for a day of caching.

Leaving Phillip Island behind and accompanied by very wet and windy weather, we headed towards Frankston in preparation for a special family birthday celebration.
Cold wet days suit us for caches such as this one and today was no exception. P-P made the discovery and our name was added to the log. Fire shed over the road and disks next to playground reminded us of a very smart running team in the Rural Fire Brigade championships.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Julz76.

Day 13 of 31 day challenge and personal challenge of 48 in 24 hours, hubby Greysubmarine, JustAnnie1 and I headed out for a huge day caching in an attempt to break a lot of personal records.
Parked the geokorando and we wandered over to GZ for a look. There were a couple of muggles playing in the park however I managed to spot this find from a fair distance and like a ninja, I swiped it from its spot then we sat down and signed it at the table. Again, like a ninja, the cache was back in the spot before anyone knew what had happened.
Great little hide Julz76

So day 13 of the 31 day challenge, Mrs G and JustAnnie1 and my self headed out for a couple of hours of caching with the ultimate goal of completing the Jack Speak Series. We decided that we would grab as many caches on the way to do this series as we could. What a beautiful day Melbourne put on today lovely sunshine and a nice warm winters 18 degrees day. The wind was starting to pick up but over all it was a great day for caching.
Arrived near the GZ and parked the GeoKorando in the side street. Mrs G, JustAnnie1 and myself walked to the GZ where it was a quick read of the description and a short time later Mrs G like a Ninja swiped the cache and the unsuspecting muggle on hand had no idea what was going on. The log was signed cache returned, Great hide, thanks for the cache cheers.

Found @ 12:28am, find # 2300
I have had a look for this one previously about 2 years earlier but had to leave before finding it due to muggles arriving at the playground, this time muggles were certainly not a problem and with a quick search around GZ the cache was found shortly after.
Thanks to Julz76 for this cache and all the caching fun.

Had to wait for some teen mugglers to dissipate so we did a recon with the geodog before making a swift cache entry once safe.
Not often I get to do a caching run down this way in the car. I normally avoid cache's of the playground variety, but it was muggle-free and GZ was not on the play equipment. Quick find, good coords. Thanks for the caching fun.
After a slight GPS mishap, we found the deftly camoed cache. Pretty cool location. Glad to see the fence there to prevent littlies running onto the busy road. TFTC.

Good Friday found us heading out towards Flinders to do a couple of hours fishing book ended with caching whilst traveling. This plan enabled us to clear out a couple of areas of recently published caches on the way down, as well as the opportunity to visit two renowned caches in Cape Schanck and Main Ridge. Cold War Paranoia and Enchanted Forest could not be more highly recommended to visit as they both made our trip so worth it!!
Parking the GeoRanger in the side street, we made our way into to this nice park and to GZ where Trent made the quick discovery. Campbell made use of the playground as only a 7 year old can do before we moved on towards Flinders.
Thanks for the cache.

after sitting at the table for a few minutes found the clever hide. tftc
After arriving at a Venturer meeting at my friends house i thought i might find a nearby cache once arriving a the gz i immediately thought that i Proverbs should stop looking for the cache because i saw a mean looking knife in the tree. about 1/2 an hour later i thought that i would go for round two with some back up, with light fading and losing vision i found it just in time only a short distance from the knife. But on the bright side i enjoy the hunt, and i introduce the idea of geocaching for my friends and soon we will enter a geocaching competition for scouts, hopefully we win. So TFTC - Flugu_Blah #51
Quick drive by on a day's caching with Zombiedogs. But being that he'd already found this cache, he continued on and we stopped to grab it.
I remember hanging out around here in misspent yoof, but I don't remember this fun looking little playground!
Anyway, in the end, it ended up being a nice simple find, with some excellent (though a touch worn) camo. TFTC!

Had been here before with grandchildren when the cache was disabled, but returned today to find the well camoed cache. Thanks Julz76
I loathe playground caches, even when empty as this one was today. Fortunately this was a quick find in a fairly obvious location and was spotted despite its camo. Love the camo, btw. SL TFTC
Managed to have the park to myself for this hunt. Nicely done bit of cammo there. My sister used to live in this street a long time ago. Sure looks different now. Thanks Julz76 for the cache.
Very cool camo. Lid is quite hard to open so the camo is started to come off the lid section. Very cool though. Luckily no one playing in the park so it was an easy search. TFTC.
This was a very well-disguised hide, which we appreciated. No-one around today, so it was a quick grab, then back into the airconditioned car. TFTC.
We had a bit of a hunt for this one, up, down, over, under. Finally the Moose found it after I was looking 'too hard!'. Thanks for the cache.
In the area with Pea bear today & soon spotted the very clever hide. Appreciate the camo. TFTC
On a caching mission with BorisB&Natasha. Natasha soon spotted it, very clever camo. TFTC
Nice little spot, but with cricket-listening muggle & child on swing I it was difficult to search covertly for the cache. More kids arrived so I went to find other nearby caches returning later to find the park even more heavily muggle infested. Came back the next day, a grey windy day kept the muggles away and I was able to spend some time looking for the very well camouflaged cache. Luckily the lid of the cache-container was ajar and I was able to spot it soon enough. After signing the log, I ensured the lid was completely closed, so the cache should be well hidden again.
I figured Padley must have been someone who enjoyed playing at the park - until I looked at the street sign when leaving.

This was, cache # 24 of 33 finds for the day on another big night out with my good mates Trailrunning and Blacklegend, we picked Danozz up in the city later on our run. We were glad the owner had replaced this one. My thanks to Julz76 for the cache.
I jumped the fence and was at the cache spot in no time, Trail managed to spot the camo and picked out the hide.
Tonight was another legendary night caching run with The Demolition Crew and The Rebel Alliance teaming up to grab some caches north, east and south of Melbourne. The run started in the early afternoon with the new northern and eastern caches being picked up before we headed towards the city in peak hour traffic to pick up Danozz in Richmond. He was keen to come and join in the fun.
At this point we moved through slow moving traffic to St Kilda and down to Found it 5 v2 (another hour wasted there!) before moving south through Cranbourne, Tyabb and on to Balnarring. The night was filled with a great many laughs as Blacklegend was in fine form.
The highlight of the night was the 5,000th find being racked up by Blacklegend on the Balnarring Headache Maker. Top effort Adam! As the witching hour approached we decided to forgo some of the planned caches and head straight back to Elwood to align the tides with our caching presence so that we could pick up a cache four hundred metres down a stormwater drain.
Many thanks to all the CO’s who have put the time into placing the caches we collected tonight, and a special mention to those CO’s who made the effort to replace some missing caches at my request a few weeks back.
The last time I was out this way the cache wasn't here, but luckily it has now been replaced and my name is now in the book. Thanks.

I've looked for this one twice now, and with no finds since April I suggest this one goes as it's been disabled for three months.
Container and log back in place. Please place back in same spot as other sections of the tree do not hold it in place as well
Thought I'd try to find this one while I was in the area, despite previous posts...dnf.
Out of action while a different method of hiding is investigated. Sick of it disappearing after every storm
