There has been a lot of tree work near GZ and I can't find the cache container where it was placed. Have had problems with the waypoint tags going missing too, so I think it's time for this to be archived. The location is crying out for a cache along this theme though, so maybe I'll place another one here before too long... Smile

Hello. Could we get this one checked please. Would like to have this one sorted. Many thanks.

Another adventure with Gap (of Fap and Gap). We set off from home with a half-baked plan to blitz some caches in Waihi, but quickly realised there was pie to be had in Hamilton... It's Pi Day today...

Sadly, we are suffering from 'not finding cache' frustration... The puzzle was tricky and we got some help to sort it. We walked into ground zone and matched the hint to what we saw. The coordinates seemed to indicate a specific area, but there was no cache. Could this be checked please? It hasn't had a find in a while. Thanks.

Having done all the hard work last week I called in today with the whole family to make the find. We enjoyed a really nice walk to GZ and located the cache quickly. This is a great multi stage puzzle. The cache description looks intimidating but the instructions are clear, the waypoints are easy to find Wink and the information you need clearly yet cleverly concealed. A very well constructed caching adventure.

I had planned to do the first couple of stages of this puzzle and save the cache find itself for the whole family at another time. I came a little unstuck and must have been acting suspiciously because I was spotted by the cache owner who fortunately was able to help me out. It was great meeting you and thanks for the help. Hopefully I can return in the not so distant future with the family in tow to make the find.

Decided to come back and finish this one - Found last waypoint and then checked on car GPS for last street name - googled and found connection - thought I knew but just couldn't remember name - Did the sums and then off to final - took the shortcut which may not be accessible much longer - got to cache and headed back - got to car and oh no! - Where are the keys? Back down the hill but no luck - walking back to car wondering what I was going to do and then spied them on the mown grass - I commented to a father and son just biking past - 'Boy that was lucky' Found out the duo was the family of Katy - TFTC

Thanks for your help but somehow we got the co-ordintes wrong but found it anyway 6 paces from where we were going to put 1 behind the Totara. It's always nice to meet fellow cachers.

Nice to meet you, MillsAndLills! Sorry to have scuppered your plans for a new cache placement. Hope you can find somewhere else nearby for one - would be good to have more in this neck of the woods Smile

Loved this cache - so cleverly put together. Found WPs during the week but my maths looked like it was going to send me to farm land, and it was getting dark, so headed back home and looked at numbers again. Returned today and found cache - nice and snug in it's hiding place with dry log book.

This part of town has changed so much! Saw a sign for sections for sale from $179K. When we bought a section near to here in 1999 it was $60K and the house cost $172K.

Coordinates changed from:
S 37° 43.637 E 175° 14.180

Coordinates changed to:
S 37° 43.628 E 175° 14.175

Distance from original: 59.7 feet or 18.2 meters.

New item has been hidden at WP1; co-ordinates and hint updated accordingly.

I have been advised that the item at Waypoint 1 has gone missing. I need to get a new one made. Temporarily disabling this until I get a chance to get a replacement and put it in situ

Really well-themed multi & a nice walk around an area I'd not visited before. Bit worried that I was off-line & had to trust my maths (!) for the final but all good - phew! Thanks for putting this together.

Had to read the logs below to work out F. then it all fill into place.
thanks for the cache.

Solved ages ago, so was pleased that there was no changes. Took the shorter route to GZ across a vacant section. Thanks

Neat puzzle, the light bulb turned on when I got to WP3 Smile Not really my thing, but was a neat puzzle!

Grr. Got a new 'item' to place at WP2... and then when I went to place it, I discovered the original item. Exactly where it's supposed to be. Cache is back up and running again - or more accurately, it was never really out of action at all! Happy caching everyone!

22-Dec-11
Looks as if the item at WP2 has gone missing (I know Council have recently done a bit of work in the area). Will try to check it out this afternoon, but if it's gone I'll have to get a replacement sorted out, which might have to wait until next week at the earliest.

We were in Hamilton for the weekend to attend the 'Why Not An Event Cache'. This looked a fun little puzzle to do and knowing a little about the subjects within the puzzle did assist. Didn't take us too long to get to GZ and a quick find. Well thought out. TFTC.

Not being great watchers of TV, the names meant nothing to us. Luckily the geo checker showed that our first estimate of a value for F was correct, after which the final was not difficult to find.
+ a marble, - nothing.

We've been meaning to do this puzzle cache for ages, but always seem to run out of time on our day-trips to the Waikato. Made it today, though we did suffer some domestic frustration when we arrived at wp1 and couldn't find the small item. Eventually we thought to look at the hint, and spotted the item soon after. Plain sailing after that and the theme of the cache quickly became apparent - nicely done, thanks. A favourite.

Really well put together puzzle, had some issues getting the final co-ords, until I re-read the instructions. Second puzzle cache today and both times had made silly mistakes....Maybe puzzles shouldn't be done on Mondays lol.

TFTC.

Thanks for the puzzle and the cache. Didn't know this area was here, so was a nice walk in to make the find.

Nice little grab, always pleased to get the puzzels marked off, TFTC

Loved this puzzle! More up jillopy's street than return2nai but enjoyed in the pouring rain! WP1 didn't want to be snaffled out of it's hiding place but we persuaded it in the end! WP3 just about had us on a wild goose chase - lesson to read the fine print!! Nicely themed multi, well done! TFTC.

Item at WP2 has been rehidden and hint changed accordingly

Must of just missed you, WP2 was still in its original place when we went through this morning. Thanks for the fun walk, a new area for us. Love the theme, a personal fav.

Really enjoyed this multi. I had not been to this subdivision before. Not too frustrating. Easy find of the final. Thanks very much KatyAndScott

Found all the wps easy enough. Needed a we bit of assistance with the final.
GZ was found easily thanks. novel concept.
However the TB tag fell off what it was attached to and is somewhere on the gound at GZ if next finder could look. I had a look but ran out of time as I had to go to work
Dropped off another TB

5243 Luckily we didn’t suffer from any domestic frustrations with our calculationsBig Grin, unfortunately the WP1 street sign has suffered some domestic violence and is MIASad able to work out the required street name from the GPS. A nicely themed puzzle that we thoroughly enjoyed completing.[^]

Luckliy we had already google mapped WP1 as somebody must have wanted the street sign, the pole was there but sign had been ripped off.
The rest was pretty much straight forward

Most enjoyable well thought out multi/puzzle. Had a little trouble retrieving WP1 as my fingers were too big but managed to fashion a tool from bits and pieces in the car to fish it out. The rest went very smoothly.
Many thanks

In town tonight so went for the "Night Option" Big Grin and was quite pleased we did.
At WP1 all was quiet and after a bit of a search we found the elusive clue.. well hidden (thanks)
WP2 was no problem all quiet and a quick discover as well.. Now it all falls into place Big Grin
Off to the final and a nice walk to GZ on a cool evening to discover the cache.
Thanks for the puzzle..was most well laid out and even had a bit of a laugh along the way.
Dropped in TB.. [orange] TFTP [/orange] and [red] TFTC [/red] Great Fun!

Finally got out to get the cache TFTC

14-Sep-10
yahoo a green tick but no wheels to get there

FTF in the rain, loads of fun, WP1 the hardest to find. Some initial frustration due to spelling error, but resolved, and found.

Almost could have driven to GZ but decided that the walk would be a better idea.

Fantastic cache Smile
