Unfortunately I couldn't find this one. I would have replaced it but it could well still be there under the leaves.
Thanks for the caches Bitsprayer. Cruising around the area today with Hal2929 picking up new and not so new caches. Visiting places previously unheard of.
Had quite a wander around this place and was amazed.

I'm glad I had my boots on. An interesting spot. I planned a ski trip with hubby and friends. Then I had a couple of biopsies dine on my arm. So no skiing for me so I decided to cache instead. Thank you Bitsprayer for this cache.

I am back in Waimate with my snail shell and it is time to sign off the rest of the caches that were published at the end of last year. It was nice to travel over all sorts of roads and by owning a Holden I was able to go through all those Fords.
Cheers for the cache.

Prepare for sheep and burrs, this one is an adventure to find! Lovely cache in a place I didn't know existed
#18246. Good to see an old school building that is still in good shape. I thought my feet might get soaked in the long, wet grass in the garden area, but I managed to find my way to GZ was out too much moisture ingress. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day one of a 4 day trip down south to Oamaru, a consolation holiday for us, as in a COVID-19 free world, we would currently be in Seattle .
My GPSr was playing up, so just had to follow SW to the garden. He found the cache too. An interesting piece of history, thanks.

What a nice place. It's great for old buildings like this to be remembered tftc
With Kiwitien. Could only see the Memorial Garden from the gate as it was closed/tied together with chain and rope. Decided to leave the peacefully grazing sheep undisturbed in the school grounds.
I love doing these caches that take you away from the hustle and bustle to a serene spot to look at history TFTC

... another interesting place to visit. Again thank you Bitsprayer for all the caches you have placed for our entertainment!
Thoroughly enjoying today's caching trip. We are so lucky to have so many great spots preserved for all to enjoy. But of a weed bash to get to cache at present
Visited this old church that is showing its age. Followed the instructions and found myself confronted by a cabbage tree plantation. Maybe I should check them out.
Great gardens for these old school grounds, well done to the community for doing this.

Nice cache hiding. Took a toy bird and left a pet rock. If you take the rock and need to know how to look after him then contact us on https://www.facebook.com/AdoptARock and we can email you the instructions
Early morning. Parked up and climbed fence as it was not going to open. Had sheep guarding land and the neighbor was up early across the road too. Felt strange going onto the land even though its public right?
Quick find after jumping the fence tftc nice old school, still in good condition
nice bit of history & garden. wonder what the old school gets used for now. tftc.
Interesting place. Heafudd M did a bit of weeding while we walked through garden. TFTC
Wasn't keen to get too close to the stinging nettle at gz so sent mum in to make the retrieval and back to replace cache. Found with debsnz
The school wasn't open for long. Watch for stinging nettle near gz. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
TFTC. What a neat garden to wander around in. Great effort by the locals for planting here.
flobberworm! and purdidepurdie out for a few days caching play.

Would be good if all these buildings could be used. Just wondered why this school was only in action for such a short period of time. TFTC
Another delightful spot, one does wonder why the school closed - was there a rural down-turn all those decades ago? TFTC.
3557. We enjoyed going to this spot. The school was certainly closes early on - not in the latest round of closures! There was interesting information on the board about the early settlers. We narrowly moved being squashed between a grader and farm machinery as they passed each other on the road. As we were leaving a peacock appeared out of the bushes and was there in front of us for some time.
We took the truck TB with us.
Thanks

Nice quick dash in and out. Interesting spot indeed. Not sure if this one the one where I dropped off the TB - if not apologies
Interesting site and a fitting memorial garden to the early settlers to this location. TFTC
