Took a detour up here...what a spot. Wasn't even looking for this cache. Stopped to enjoy the view... thought..I bet there is a cache here..and there was 83mtrs from where I had stopped. Cache is a bit rusty insite...new container not required but wouldn't be a bad idea and pencil. Could sign log.

Nice one! TFTC.

I've been meaning to do this one for a while, but its always getting late and I dont have the time. Today, I was a here a bit earlier, so went for the drive up to this great spot. Nice to see some water in the dam, and the grass trees are nice. Cache found quickly and all OK.

Thanks,

9:40 am -- Thanks for the hunt and Thanks for bringing us here to this location wbfoto.

**Cache Condition:** Average.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:** None seen in this cache today.

**The Cache**
The cache was in fairly good condition although was soaking inside and partially rusty, so it probably needs replacing at some stage. As I didn't have a big enough replacement with me so I have left this one as is but undertaken maintenance such as some cleaning up and added a mint tin in a plastic bag. That should do until another time. Awesome view.

**The Day**
OCW *Mr ToC*, *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet* for a quick weekend caching and cache maintenance, and WOW, what a weekend it was - Absolutely AMAZING !!! We had a fantasic time. A bit sunburnt [:o)] Sad on the drivers side arm, tired, exercised Smile and very happy from a journying through some amazing countryside. We found a bunny among bricks beside a cache Surprised, sheep running loose outside fencelines, fortunely No snakes Big Grin. A hot day but a nice breeze is blowing.

51 = 45 Smile 2 Sad 4 [8)] not attempted.

Todays solo geo mission was boorawa, hovells creek, reids flat and up to whyangalla dam. A handful of caches, a few dnfs, plenty of roadkill and a near run in with a monster goanna. What a great day and enjoyed such scenic drives around too.

Amazing views here wow!

10-Sep-17
We arrived at GZ to find a muggle fussing about and enjoying the view (who can blame her.. the view is pretty impressive). So onto some other caches, grabbing this with a nff on the way back through. In the end our 7th find of the day on our unloved cache tour. Beautiful day out with minniek!

Last time we came through there was an excavator sitting right at GZ. We didn't want to play with it so kept going. No one around today and we enjoyed the cache and the wonderful views. Thanks.

Was a bit worried by the number of possible hiding places, but in the end we picked the right one. We were happy to find the space was not occupied by a large machine (as it was a couple of years ago), but it was beautifully quiet and the views amazing. TFTC

Interesting grass trees near GZ.
We were getting a little wet as the rain was becoming more persistent.
Found after a brief search, then back to the dry car.

Thanks.

19-Feb-11
It was getting darker and the rain was getting heavier. One good thing was we had phone coverage, so it was time to catch up with our better halves. Cache was found and log was signed.

Grass trees might seem a little out of place, but it looks like a small parcel of remnant bushland behind them.

Cheers.

28-Dec-10
very nice view of Wyangla dam up here on the hill, good to see the dam full again. I thought that the blackboys near GZ were unusual but there were heaps more ove the fence, perhaps that is what the whole area was like before grazing took over. Thanks for the cache wbfoto, have never been down this road and am enjoying it

What a view!!! Co-ord's were spot on and then we stood an enjoyed the view for a while before moving back up the road for some more caching.

I thought this was a strange place to find a few grass trees but anything is possible. Decided that this is a wounderfull way to spend a day outing via going on a 36 hr road trip. Some fantastic views and stunning scenery. Thanks for a reason not just to drive this road but also stop and have a look around.

Continued along the Wild Track for another quick find at GZ - and yes there are great views from up here - thanks wbfoto !! Only seems fair number 3000 was on your cache as most of the 30 for today were yours !!

Took GC - TFTC !!

Cheers....

Out caching on an ACT public holiday with three other cachers. I suppose there would be a good view if there was some water in this end of the dam. Thanks.

What a view indeed. As I drove up to the parking area all I could think was WOW!! Followed the GPS to GZ, looked down, and there was the cache, well hidden of course. Quickly logged, replaced and back to the car as daylight was starting to run out. I didn't fancy driving this road at night in a 2WD. TFTC and the FTF.
