A pretty little tower; there seem to be many of this type of castle in the western part of the country. The immediately disappointing thing, however, other than the fact that we couldn't go inside, was the scaffolding all up one side of the castle. But we appreciate that these old ruins need to be maintained from time to time, even if it's not very photogenic! The second awkward thing was the portable workers' shed plonked RIGHT in front of GZ. And one of said workers turned up in his car as we were parked there about to begin our search for the cache. And he went into the shed. Fortunately for us, there were no windows in the shed, but still, we crept up very quietly to GZ and it were able to extract the cache very discreetly while the workers talked inside. Phew. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Australia and the Netherlands!

The kids love the castle. It's a pitty that it's closed at the moment. But we'll be back next year.

It was nice to discover a cache that was readily accessible by car as we journeyed close to the Greenway. Of course when we arrived there were a party of three cyclists parked at the castle having their luch and we'd no time to wait around. I took some pictures of the views from in front of GZ while M grabbed and signed the prize behind me. Our muggle friends were oblivious. I'll attach a picture on this misty day which was only take so as to cover up the deed TFTC

Fourth day of our trip in Ireland. Today we've traveled to Achill Island ... We pass through the north to go and by the south to return. The landscapes are beautiful, even if the weather is typically Irish

Etibachtfan parked the car on the side of the street and told us, that he knew woh the cache is. he was right, we signed the logbook, had a short look at the tower nearby the cache and continued our journey.

Our group spent the morning photographing on Achill Island and the afternoon taking in the sights around Westpoint. we made the stop here so javthrowr and I made our way to the cache for the 7th of 8 caches today. Thanks for placing this at an interesting place! TFTC!
