Bit of a bush bash required and the kids old clothes and shoes are a bit creepy, but found this POT of gold!
Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 10 - Cleve to Port Lincoln via Port Neill and Tumby Bay. My short days continue and I spent a bit of time around Cleve before I got under way. Plenty of roadside caches along the highways. I ventured into Pot Neill, Tumby Bay and Port Louth to check out the villages. As ever I would have loved to have stopped for lunch or dinner in each one, but I stuck to the plan and made it to the caravan park in Port Lincoln. Once I was set up I went and did a few more caches on the edge of town. A couple more Counties today. I'll spend another day here tomorrow before heading North West to th Nullabor over a few days after that.As I drove from Cleve I stopped at many but not all of the roadside caches. They all went smoothly except one. Oh well, can't get them all .. Or so they tell me.Thanks for the cache wheres_wolly_sharon46620.25 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 6000 Finds Achievement A#215**Albida**

Day 19 of our greynomad trip up north and today we are finally heading north. Started raining in the early hours, and even considered another night at Coffin Bay, but decided to see how far we would comfortably get.
Todays targets are LGA's on the eastern side of the peninsula, and this was the first.
A quick stop - TFTC SL TB's visited.

My 9th day of my trip heading to and around the Eyre Peninsular. I stayed at Coulta for the last night which was a rainy night then made my way to Port Lincoln then up to Cleve for tonight's camp site. This cache would be find number 31 of 34 for the day and find Number 225 in total for this trip away.
On my way to Cleve but worth a stop for a few more finds.

Country, Coffee, Cats, Champagne, Chocolate, and Caching...
Careful caching as always with Jack helping, wherever we go.
It's a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and objects falling from trees
...... but a cache a day still keeps the boredom away
--------
Most of our caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp )
----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside
It's awesome of all those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!

The end. For now...

Day One: Port Lincoln to Cleve.
The East Coast has barely even started drying out but conditions here are perfect.
Roads aren’t busy either.
Thanks to all the COs for making the Eyre Peninsula a great caching destination.
Well lots of possibilities here, but the hide comes with a pretty big hint, so I wasn’t stopped here for long.

On the road with goinplaces2 and heading toward Tumby Bay. Having a nice slow day with just a few caches. Found what we wanted, signed the logs, all were replaced. Job done! TFTC.

During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I spent the day around Port Lincoln. We spent the morning seeing the town and marina, and then headed south travelling past Port Lincoln National Park to check out Whalers Way. It was still a little cold and nippy with the wind about, but otherwise a sunny day.
This was our first geocache find of the day as we headed from Tumby to Port Lincoln for breakfast. We detoured up this short track, and made the cache find reasonably quickly. Interesting camouflage cover. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wheres wolly for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

From Tumby Bay to Port Lincoln. This was today's stage and as always we searched and found some geocaches. Many thanks to all owners, which made this trip a little more varied even in not so nice weather.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a very well presented cache scene. The cache itself was located quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks wheres wolly for a very enjoyable cache - it earns a favourite from us.
Found at 3:27 PM GAFF1.
We are now going to Louth! So we stopped here to check this cache out and when we approached GZ we thought - OMG - there are many many possible locations - but then suddenly we spotted a good "indicator" that made the find a quick one

On my two day trip to Port Lincoln with e.gregory1, we stopped everyone and again to collect some target caches along the way. Majority of the trip was based around collecting puzzles Unfortunately we hit a kangaroo not too far past port wakefield but car is a bit dented.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 it has been a while since in SA but enjoying this visit greatly.
After a great sleep last night at Carrow Wells, Port Neill which was so friendly with a great deal at the store for Fathers Day and awesome tourist signage around. Today it was moving day to Port Lincoln, but we decided to stopover in Tumby Bay first and have a good explore. What a pretty town, which had a great vibe to it. The sun came out for a good portion of the day too.

#1184 Tenth of forty seven finds on Day 11 of my South Australian geocaching road trip. Nice easy find after a short search. TFTC.
Good to find a cache on the highway with plenty of room to pull off the road in our motorhome. "Facilities" not required at this time thank you.
CPwanderer, GoodLook and I headed off for a weekend in Port Lincoln via an overnight stop in Whyalla
Our weekend was unexpectedly extended by a day due to illness and so my tally at the end of the 'weekend' was 168 cache finds
Sadly this was marred by a massive 28 DNFs
Port Lincoln, despite being virgin caching territory for all 3 of us, did not provide us with the pleasure that we had anticipated
So many of the caches were bison tubes and those that we did find, quite often were in places where a larger cache could have been hidden The other issue was the lack of maintenance on many caches
There are people trying their best to maintain the 'wheres wolly' cache hides however their resources are stretched thinly..... so if you are heading over, please pack heaps of cache maintenance containers, bags and log books and help out where you can. [^]
That being said, the trip was still a blast and some great caches were found and great views were seen!
This cache container was broken and so the container was replaced.
The cache hide made me smile

Easy find as the sun was setting!!
This was one of the caches found on a three day odyssey on the Eyre Peninsula! Myself, GoodLook and locuscache had never cached south of the Cowell/Cleve area so we had high hopes of some great caching. We worked our way down through Port Neil and Tumby Bay and grabbed those along the highway plus a few a little further afield.
Our time in and around Port Lincoln was frustrating. Lots very small micros, lots of very rusty tins and more dnfs than ive ever had in a day before this. We were very fortunate that local cacher , Roming Wendy joined as. Her expert knowledge of the town certainly helped. A medical issue had us stay a third day. This worked out very well as we could do some relaxed caching on our way home.
A special thanks to Roming wendy for her help and to those who hid caches in the area … particularly the Geo-Ambos, Wheres Wolly and Viper321. Special thanks also to my “mildly obsessive” caching buddies on this trip …………………………… amazing fun!!

Yep, this location makes a good pit stop
Found whilst on a road trip with CPwanderer and Locus Cache, with the aim of the weekend to cache in and around Port Lincoln - fresh territory for us all. We certainly had a great time, however with a DNF rate of about 40% [:(!], it was tough going! We did however thoroughly enjoy the beautiful locations and scenery.
After joking all day on the Sunday we should spend another night in Pt Lincoln, circumstances presented that meant we needed to extend our time away! We took it slowly on the way home which enabled us to once again visit some terrific places
Thanks for the cache

Hi there .
We found your cache **"The Pit Stop"** at 1:27:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 13801.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the local area today. We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Today we thought that it would be nice to visit Port Lincoln to get the car serviced and then log some caches on our way back to camp.
We ended up finding 5 & DNFing 0 caches today.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container is cracked possibly due to UV degradation.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
