We, (jsson, peter-tvm, Sivun and myself) went for a walk on Philip island today. We logged as IJPS.
At start it was fine weather but it turned into rain showers when we had to walk back to the car. In total a great 15km walk.
Cache was found on the ground but in mint condition.
Thanks for placing a cache for me to enjoy and find.

Caching walk #1 today (from Rhyll to Conservation Hill) for lochb, G&J of GJMMelb and I, this one GJMMelb had previously found and so it was a bonus cache for lochb, who found it pretty much immediately, and I. TFTC
Our plan was to do the Rhyll Historic Walk trail and then continue on to the Conservation trail after stopping for this one, which was a nice quick find. Our plans went awry when we realised that no geo-dogs were allowed on the trail from here on in. So this one became our last one along here for the day.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Had a girls weekend away and after a final brunch together it was my time to do some much awaited caching in the area before heading home.
I must admit that i avoided walking to this one and instead took the east drive given the horrendous weather that had just closed in. A nice quick find! TFTC

A quick find here while I tried to decide whether to keep going or turn back now.
I decided to keep going but only found one more after this.
Thanks for the cache

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

Touring the Island with weather this perfect makes caching so enjoyable. With Kat wanting to check on a few more of the local dwellings, what else could I do but agree as it usually ends up with another cache to log. These themed caches are great however I haven't quite got my head around this series yet so I'll need to research it more tonight as I think I have missed some of the requirements for the final. Day 7 of our caravan trip going South from Queensland. Been to Culcairn, NSW, where I was born.
Now arrived in Cowes, Phillip Island. Watching penguins, seals and caching.

Well it is a lovely day and a great day for a walk along the Rhyll Inlet trail and as such we headed out to cache the trail luckly with a team of 3 one who looks after the GeoVehicle whilst the rest of the team search the surround for cache the two searches went for a walk today and started at one end of the trail and was picked up at the other and collected 9 finds along the way.

Thought I was going to have to come back for this one as there was a camper van in the car park under the tree. However they moved on as soon as I parked and the cache was quickly in hand. Is starting to look a bit like roadkill! TFTC
Had a rare free Saturday with the family overseas so I planned a day of caching on Phillip Island. The forecast 40 degree heat didn't deter me though I tried to plan caches without too much walking and of course I avoided the nearby area closed due to fire danger. Another in this series that I managed to nab today and nicely themed too. I was able to get the right up close to this one and I quickly made the find. My 24th find of 30 for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series Gonefishen07.
Continuing on our adventure after attending the Alexandra Mega Event, we found ourselves spending a few days on Phillip Island. While we tried to take advantage of the many great places to see on the island, we were pre-occupied with trying to complete the qualifying requirements for a particular challenge cache we had signed in Ballarat prior to the Surf Coast Mega Event last year. It really does pay to check the finer details of a challenge cache before you decide to look for it We had thought you needed to have found 100 caches in Victoria, but it was only when we came to log it that we realised the 100 caches in Victoria had to have been placed by the same cache owner
Anyway, initially we thought we would complete the challenge by doing the Mt Disappointment caches, but then friends who knew we were heading to Phillip Island told us we would easily qualify for the challenge there, and they would be much more interesting caches Well they were quite interesting, and some of them were downright sneaky
In the end, we had an enjoyable couple of days exploring Phillip Island and finding a variety of cache hides, with some great walks along some of the beaches and other places
Thank you Gonefishen07 for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

Small wait while we waited for some muggles to move then it was a quick nab signed and replaced tftc
Found it! Well I managed to catch up with the Walkabouters, who were resting under the shelter, eating lunch. Fancy that, another cache to find less than 10 meters away! After lunch we wandered up the hill and looked out over the Inlet before heading back to Oswin Roberts Reserve! TFTC SL

Took a while to find eventhough we were in the right spot.
Got a bit of a fright when I did find it at first, but soon realised it wasn't real.
TFTC Gonefishen07 we loved this walking track.

Out on a maintenance run with Gonefishen07 and was able to sign this one not long after it had been replaced.

17:42, 22 February 2017. Time to quit. I spent way too long not finding this one. Resorted to the hint, nothing matching the hint within eight metres of where my iPhone and gypsy agreed GZ should be. Poked around all the likely spots within about 20 metres with no success. If it's still here my caching mojo is off again.
Lovely views almost make up for the DNF.

An after work caching visit, saw us on the Island with the view of getting some caches we had to pass up on our visit last week. We found this cache as a nice quiet drive by and noticed how quiet it is here on the Island during the week.

School holiday time once again which means Team Clarmensma is formed (myself+GemmaSistema+neisha07+boo09+Adam+Luke) and one lucky destination gets to host us.
This time it was Phillip Island and decided to make a 3 day road-trip of it.
The weather treated us fairly well and we enjoyed the many beautiful views and landscapes that we were taken to before caching our way home on day 3. TFTC!

In Philip Island for a few days of caching with becca85 and our geokids - Adam, Luke, neisha07 and boo09. Today was our final morning and we wanted just a few more caches this morning before heading home. Quick find here thanks to kids sticking fingers in places I'd rather not! Ha ha! Many thanks
A very pleasant spot to pause for a cache find. Not scary to us country folk, but it was really hard to extract the log sheet. SL at 5.05pm. Rolled the sheet a little tighter, to make it easier to remove and placed back carefully. #4029 Took photo. TFTC Gonefishen07

Found this one. Last one to find into the series. Now just on the the final. Great series GF07.
This one is defiantly gone spent some time looking on both signs to no avail. Thanks anyway for the beautiful views.
Out with my cousin and telling her about geocaching I was hoping to find a cache to show her. Wish it could of been this one. I looked under the sign, felt under the sign, palm up and palm down, at the front of the sign at the back of the sign. Oh well.
Summer hols with the kids. Out for a scenic walk along a track we've enjoyed before. Oh look, I seem to have paused the family at a spot with a cache!
Cheers Gonefishen07, thanks for the fun.

After staying one week with 75 women on motorcycles on Phillip Island, I found the time for a little, lonely ride over the island. Following the coast I found this lovely place and c:geo told me that a cache is laying here.
I searched a little while before I get it (without squeaking ).
Perfect end of my week on this beautiful island!
Thanks for hiding and greetings from Germany.

Not quick expecting that, and it was quite far so it took a few attempts at the same spot. Thanks to geoboy having brave hands
We had to wait for a couple of muggles to move on before we could have a proper go at this one. I had made a bit of a search by hand but I wasn't too keen to do more in case of nasty surprises. Muggle free now, I grabbed an accessory from the Geotruck and had a thorough go it searching. Even then we were about to give up before finding the elusive little bugger. Very well hidden, well done. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Out for a drive today and decided to knock a few off in Rhyll. Nice spot here with a great view. Youngest Geo kid found this one.
Um, so, I'm logging his a "little bit late". Other than posting field notes when I've found caches (maybe 30 odd over 2 years), thinking that I'll log properly later on, my activity caching has been fairly limited.
Massive apologies to the cache owner, and the cache community in general. Yes, I've been a bad ...
Life gets in the way sometimes, and with my change of job in late 2014 and two growing geoniors with many sporting commitments, caching sort of dropped off the agenda. Not entirely, but almost.
So, according to my cache notes...

Poked around with a stick, but with muggles watching from nearby house didn't want to do it too long. One of my favourite birdwatching spots, good location to do both passions.
Yikes! I put my hand in and pulled something out. Great spot on a cool but sunny afternoon. Gets a FAV for the creative cache. TFTC
