We, (jsson, peter-tvm, Sivun and myself) went for a walk on Philip island today. We logged as IJPS.
At start it was fine weather but it turned into rain showers when we had to walk back to the car. In total a great 15km walk.
Cache was found in mint condition.
Thanks for placing a cache for me to enjoy and find.

**Find #3202**
**Traditional Cache Find #2203**
I headed down to Philip Island with SteMicMitSar for out longest caching run for quite some time. Steve stopped here so that I could find this cache. It was a quick find for which I was thankful because I was by now quite tired and looking forward to getting home and a hot shower.

After waiting for an age for the traffic to disappear (reminder to self, don’t go caching during the school pickup hour!) and stopping to check the pouch of actual roadkill for young (a note to drivers to slow down and check for wildlife as the island is a living Nature Park thank you!!), found the “not road kill” and had a good laugh at the container! TFTC!
Touring the Island with weather this perfect makes caching so enjoyable. Our last find for the day before we head to the night market in Cowes. Allowing for the traffic to thin before we made the find, the themed cache was a pleasant surprise. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKams
After ariving at wonthagi our initial site for staying it was decided that we find another location and we then traveled to Phillip Island and found a site that was both cost effective and of ample size to place our cool box on for the next little while. We then went for a little drive to do a little caching and found 7 caches for today.
Thanks hell+back for placing this and Gonefishen07 for looking after this interesting cache. Great container.
Grand Cache count = 827 total consisting of 773 Traditionals, 24 Multi, 14 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual, 6 Event, 2 Werigo and 2 Letterbox.

Been a while since we have been down on the island, but last time I do remember getting some of this series. With the kids just wanting to go for a swim I made a solo attempt at this cache, found the container and held it up to show them. Laughs all round. Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.
Had a rare free Saturday with the family overseas so I planned a day of caching on Phillip Island. The forecast 40 degree heat didn't deter me though I tried to plan caches without too much walking and of course I avoided the nearby area closed due to fire danger. At this stage I was just looking for caches along here close to the road and this one fitted the bill. I quickly spotted this one but neglected to pick up any clues for the series final. My 22nd find of 30 for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07.
Continuing on our adventure after attending the Alexandra Mega Event, we found ourselves spending a few days on Phillip Island. While we tried to take advantage of the many great places to see on the island, we were pre-occupied with trying to complete the qualifying requirements for a particular challenge cache we had signed in Ballarat prior to the Surf Coast Mega Event last year. It really does pay to check the finer details of a challenge cache before you decide to look for it We had thought you needed to have found 100 caches in Victoria, but it was only when we came to log it that we realised the 100 caches in Victoria had to have been placed by the same cache owner
Anyway, initially we thought we would complete the challenge by doing the Mt Disappointment caches, but then friends who knew we were heading to Phillip Island told us we would easily qualify for the challenge there, and they would be much more interesting caches Well they were quite interesting, and some of them were downright sneaky
In the end, we had an enjoyable couple of days exploring Phillip Island and finding a variety of cache hides, with some great walks along some of the beaches and other places
Thank you Gonefishen07 for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

Today I got up at 4:30 in the morning in order to grab a 13 caches in order to make the even running today to be my 800th find. So with coffee in hand I drove around picking up a couple of Geocahing.com and Geocaching Australia caches. Anyways This was one of the many caches I found today on my adventure from home to Phillip Island....... Thanks for the cache and the adventure.

Here on the island for World Superbikes and after checking in at the track and my accommodation found myself with some time to go hunting.
I've found some of this series before' including #5 today, and find them quite interesting to hunt and find. This was another cute find.
The cache is in good condition.

After having seen a snake in San Remo earlier in the day I was a little apprehensive about approaching this one based on the cache's description. The brave family made a magnanimous decision to stay in the car while I crossed the road and headed toward Ground Zero. The supportive wife was sending me text messages with snake emojis and other encouraging motifs while I tried to keep my cool. All was going well until as I made my way into the undergrowth a startled bird made a very unnecessary raucous. Heart pounding and cold beads of sweat forming, I uncovered to GZ and had to laugh. Thanks for the cache!
An after work caching visit, saw us on the Island with the view of getting some caches we had to pass up on our visit last week. We found this cache as a nice quiet drive by and noticed how quiet it is here on the Island during the week.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for this cache placement.

Found with my family - becca85, boo09 & chan02 as well as GemmaSistma & boys on a roadtrip for the school holidays. Sorry for the very tardy logging. TFTC
Found during our super fun roadtrip to Phillip Island with my Team Clarmensma family - becca85, GemmaSistema, neisha07, Adam & Lukey. We found lots of caches and saw lots of different animals- including a penguin in the wild! TFTC!
School holiday time once again which means Team Clarmensma is formed (myself+GemmaSistema+neisha07+boo09+Adam+Luke) and one lucky destination gets to host us.
This time it was Phillip Island and decided to make a 3 day road-trip of it.
The weather treated us fairly well and we enjoyed the many beautiful views and landscapes that we were taken to before caching our way home on day 3. TFTC!

In Philip Island for a few days of caching with becca85 and our geokids - Adam, Luke, neisha07 and boo09. Today was our final morning and we wanted just a few more caches this morning before heading home. An easy find here and onto the next! Thanks
Did not see any road kill nearby, but did find a cache and SL at 4.50pm. Lots of traffic. #4027 TFTC Gonefishen07
Off to park with Grandkids.....new playground for me ...but a cache on the way so bonus.

Day out caching to Phillip Island with friends. Awesome day. Great cache, brilliant series. TFTC
A quick find once we found GZ. It was a dreadful day for caching today but still managed to find a few. TFTC
A quick find while caching around Rhyll in the early evening. Loved the cache camo. The container itself is cracked but seems to be protected by its camo. TFTC Gonefishen07.
Good hide. My son laughed at the container and where the small container was kept. Thank you, Zach& Mum.
Beautiful day down here. Decided to check out Rhyll after the Kustom Nats. I am pretty sure a couple of cars thought I was coming after after a quick toilet in the bushes.
Love the container! I noticed the smaller container is split/splitting so could start to take in water - although seems to be doing the job for now. TFTC

Over for the Melbourne Mega and collecting a few caches while in the area.

Was out for an early morning walk with OrionJ. We saw this on the phone so decided to see if we could find it. It did not take long to find and add our names to the log. TFTC
Heading back to the hotel after a morning walk on the beach with LHE Duo and we were basically driving past this one so figured we may as well make the stop.
Followed in the trail a little and soon spotted a good spot for the hide, and sure enough a cache was soon in hand. Got the names in the log and soon we were on the way.

Hahaha!! Nice easy find on the chase to the sunset unique container at least, cool series too. Tftc
A quick and easy find for our fourth in this series. Sadly, (stupidly might be a better term) we didn't read the cache description fully until now, so we haven't been collecting the info needed to make the last find. Bugger!! I don't know if we will have time for a recheck before we head off. Maybe next time. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Everyone sat in the car while I grabbed this. Had a good laugh when I saw the container. Took a photo to show the rest of the team once back in the car. TFTC.
Unexpected container kids loved it TFTC loving this series the best we've come across so far
Down on Phillip Island today to visit some old friends for lunch and I just must grab a cache or two whilst I'm here.
Quick find on this one at least. Luckily we have had lunch.
Thanks for placing this cache Gonefishen07

Taking the dogs for an evening walk past this GZ, temptation was too great not to have a poke around. Another entertaining not Roadkill find - TFTC!
Another day on Phillip Island and a few caches to be found and this guy was the first for the day.
Well all went to plan and I grabbed something which is would not normally grab.
Great start to this caching day so thanks to Gonefishen07 for keeping this guy going.
WOW fancy having to look after 430 caches, I have about 120 and that takes a lot of my time.
I think I was the first to sign the new on a couple of these guys today.
I have enjoyed this Roadkill series.
