Only took me a couple of minutes, searching by hint rather than satnav, braving a few prickles, and a bit of uncovering. The closest to our stay last night. Thanks skindo!
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were on a big Easter weekend excursion visiting Vikings and anything else in between.Easter Friday: As this archived listing was nearby, we gave it some attention. We examined the new signage and garden before the hint made sense. That area was a bit wild and needed a bit of slashing and excavating. Of course, the cache was still there and in very good condition. We collected the pathtag before returning the cache as found. Thanks Skindo. TFTC.
found after getting my slasher out and removing a bit of under growth plus a bit of dirt.cache is still in good condition.took path tag.TFTC.
I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Another one I dont know how we missed last time we were here. No problems today. TFTC
having a great holiday in New Zealand and enjoying doing a few caches on the way around in our campervan.
On the way to Picton I also found this cache.
I strolled over to ground zero and searched for a short time and found the container.
The coords are right on the mark. The cache is in good condition and the log paper is nice and dry. I took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log paper.
I carefully replaced the cache at the same place.
*thanks to skindo for your cache*

Stopped in Onga Onga for a bit of lunch and a coffee on our way back to the Kapiti coast. Nice and easy find. TFTC
We left Kapiti with its cold, windy often wet summer behind to find some better weather in sunny Hawkes Bay. Looking for a few caches of course, and sometimes finding them in areas we have not been before. This was one was picked up on our journey. A quick find whilst on a pleasant drive through lovely scenery. I swapped the pathtag from casa del hince for one of my pathtags. Tftc.
Quick find. I too wondered what was in that other thing..

On a short holiday, de-stressing and roadtripping up to Gisborne via a heap of caches.
Took all of 3 seconds to find, good hide though. TFTC

School holidays, must be time for a road trip to Gisborne. And of course a cache or two.
Quick find with nothing stinging to worry about.

Trying hard to reach a tally of 250 for July to claim a cache in Wairarapa we were running out of days. So, being the last day of the month, and despite the dismal weather forecast, we got up at 6am and were here by 8.30am to start. It was a very long day travelling around the wider Waipukurau, then down to Weber via Porangahau and back to Dannevirke to have fish and chips with my sister at 7.40pm. The last 11 cache attempts were done in the dark which was a first for us, and oh so hard! Got home around 10.45pm to our little dog who thought he had been abandoned forever. A great run and yes we achieved the numbers! It showed up our age as we were totally shattered and both struggled to find enthusiasm for work on Monday. Too many finds for individual logs so thanks to everyone who placed the caches found on the route.
Drove straight past, but after we turned around and went back it was a quick find. Wondered if it was in the box?
This is a nice place! I really enjoyed the old buildings you can see there and also the two nice Caches around. No one else was there and so I didn't had any Problems.
Thanks a lot for the Cache.

We had a lovely 3 nights at Napier. All good things must come to an end. So we're heading back to Wellington to catch the morning ferry tomorrow.
After morning tea we made a short detour and found this cache. Time motor on. Thanks for the cache.

Found while out geocaching with treasure hunting Tim. A funky smell going on here today so we made it a quick find and sign before boosting it outta here! Tftc
Parked up, and saw the likely hint object, I hadent got down to it yet, when Hyjynx said she found it.
No issues here, cache and log in good nick.
Never been here before, so time to explore a bit.
Cheers skindo

Last day driving home, we stopped off at a number of caches to clean up some of the area. Couldn't find it in 2 minutes and was starting to rain so gave up..
Had always driven up or down state highway 2 and had always seen the signs pointing towards Ongaonga (or should that be Onga Onga). Had the opportunity to come down state highway 50 today and wasn't going to miss out on having an explore around the town. Quick find of cache on the outskirts of town then into town to have a look around. Thanks for the cache.
On our way to the Hawkes Bay for the long weekend and this cache was next on our list. Initially missed the cache but a quick read of the logs meant that the second look at the hinted location was much more successful. Thanks skindo.
No problems for me here. Using the hint, I went straight to where I thought the cache would be and found said cache.
After walking through the long, but dry, grass, we quickly realized the coordinates were a bit out and headed for the obvious hint object. After a brief attempt to look underneath, we found the cache in a more suitable location. Our coordinates were S39 54.650 E176 24.853. TFTC
The different spellings almost fooled us and we almost drove past the petrol station we so desperately needed. Grabbed this one once the guage was set to F and not E Whew!

Out on a Geocaching road trip with my wife and dog, and having a run in our new convertible.
Quick find here, a few of the local moogles were taking interest in what I was doing so close to their paddock.

Found this on our way to Napier. The cache was found through the fence on the farmers land. We had to get a long stick and to some careful prodding and flicking to get the cache back and place it where we thought it would belong. Thanks Skindo.
#4957. Saw the cache, but it was just out of reach. Eventually managed to stretch enough to get a touch by the finger, and retrieved. Replaced in a slightly more reachable spot. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Quick find with the Seagnoid, on our way to Gisborne for the NI National Daffodil Show. Thanks for the cache.
I have failry strict requirements to logging a find. I have to see the cache, and know where it came from. When I logged this find, I broke that rule, and it has been nagging me for ages. What happened is that it was dark and horrible, at the end of a long trip to the Hawkes Bay. Etherlord shot out, located the cache and we completed the formalities. But I never saw where it was hidden.
Later I came this way again with the Vron, and after a big hunt all over, still failed to find it.
This time I went back with Etherlord, on a fill in the blanks tour back from the Clive CITO event. He missed it and I found it. Yay!!! My conscience is now clear. Happy to keep my find!

Nice quick turnoff on our way to Napier. Took us up to the village which we really enjoyed. TFTC
Heading home after spending the weekend in Hawkes Bay but this time went SH50 to log some caches along the way. Quickly found, signed log, then replaced. TFTC
Quick drive by soon had the cache in hand. Used to live in Many Peaks - or Manypeaks ... in WA, same story, tiny town with different spellings everywhere... TFTC!

Last cache for 2012. After stopping in to look at the historic buildings trotted over to pick up this cache. And then back in the General Store for a double scoop icecream to cool off. TFTC.
Found at last - I'd made this one much hard than it should have been. I can confirm however the bees are gone, but the honeycomb is just inside the 'box'. TFTC - Onga Onga is my preference.
10.15: On the way from Dannevirke to mangatutu Hot Springs. Nothing found here. Trace of earlier visit were clearly visible, but they gave us no clue. Coordinates appeared to be some metres off, but maybe we were wrong.
Nevertheless: Thank you for showing this place!

Found on our caching trip through Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay. Many Thanks to the CO's for taking us to so many interesting places which we would never had visited without searching for your cache. TFTC Drawp
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Like may before us we got a fright from the bee hive and were about to call in quits when Gaz spotted the cache After adding our names to the log we headed back to the car and continued on our way to Wellington.

Or is it Onga squared? This box is a bit of modern history, I suppose.
Cheers for the cache.

A quick find on the way south today. Needed the hint, the GPSr was leading me to other more common skindo hiding places. Signed log, TFTC!
Found the bees nest. Quite a decent one but in hibernation. Failed to find the cache...with Seagnoid.
After a small search i found it.
It is bees in the box but i kicked it a few times and only 2 came out, they might die out
this winter many thanks

Turns out is was not a super awesome 45 cache day road trip to Hawkes Bay. It was a incredibly amazing super awesome outstanding overload 46 cache day road trip to Hawkes Bay. No bees at dusk, apart from the one Rattl installed.
Seagnoid, Lillianavess and Etherlord.

found by torch light on the return leg of Etherlord, Seagnoid and Lillianavess' 52-cache geo-road trip to Napier, find 43/46.
After reading the warnings in the logs, I decided to attempt this one anyway.
I'm please to say that the only bee I encountered at 10pm belonged to rattll

After the last comment, we were wary of the bees. There were plenty around. Managed to sign log OK though. Left a pet rock - a bee (ha ha). TFTC
