Visiting from Adelaide to see family for the festive season, and today its time to tackle more caches in the Mt Taylor area including the Adventure Lab, some puzzles solved in 2021 that I havent had a chance to get to and some challenging multis. Found this cache and signed the log, with a helpful hint. Many thanks for the placement and the ongoing maintenance
On my way to find a golden oldie cache, i saw this cache with the CO's name starting with Z....l needed a z for a Z challenge cache im working on, so l stopped. I found this cache and in the process my hoop earrings had caught on a twig and catapulted....Doh.....Sigh...well I worked out it was gold plated because my magnet would not attach to the other one l was still wearing...I dropped to the ground concious not to bury it and started searching...how ironic to be searching for a personal item rather than a cache lol....l did eventually find it..and was able to go back to my task at hand of signing the log.
Oh this cache took me some time. luckily i had my eyes on the right GZ form the beginning, but the options were plentiful.
So i followed the hint: looked for rocks and then i looked up! oh that helped me a lot
thanks for the cache, it was very foggy up there today

Bit of a climb up the hill but great views. Found after a nice morning of orienteering nearby. TFTC
Well, this cache was very nicely hidden. Clever camouflage, blends well into its environment, despite being in plain sight once you notice it.
But the hardest part of this cache was getting back up the hill!
TFTC!

Now on my descent a cache not too far from the track. Quickly located and logged. TFTC.
Found at 0930 while killing time waiting for a safety recall service on the car to be done. Normally I'd hang around Woden Shopping Center but given the current Covid situation I decided that staying in the open air would be the smarter option so a stroll up the hill seemed like a plan.
Wearing a mask on the uphill climb was a little uncomfortable but warranted given the surprising number of people on the trail, and GZ coincided nicely with a required breather. I hunted around for a while before spotting the cache - guess I'm a bit rusty.
Signed the log then continued up the trail - only got 3 more hours to go...
Thanks for the cache ZZ7.

nice little chance to stop along the way up and enjoy the views.
Clean little hide that had me looking for a few moments.
Cool to see a fresh new log.
Thanks for the recent repairs and cache.

This one was hidden so well that I found it on one side, got excited, decided to go around to the other side and had to find again. Maybe I need new glasses? The log is wet through and needs replacing. Popped a small slice of paper in but couldn't fit much. Tftc
Tricky hide but managed to find the cache log is damp but not destroyed, future ppl just dont be rough with this one
Caching with J+J.AU today on a very wet day, still managed to tackle a nice amount of caches. It has been a while since I got this soaking wet to the bone!

Change of plans today, climbing Mt Taylor with Wilbert. Yes it’s raining, but all covered up .
Spending the day here and picking up caches along the way.
We’re getting really wet now

A straightforward find through today's snow flurries (!) while walking around Mt Taylor. Nice new and dry log. Thanks ZZ7!
TFTC log sheet full and in need of repair and replacement. Found this one in the dark at the end of a long afternoon caching.
E E E E EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE [Found!] at 11:40am
The start of clearing Mount Taylor happened today. Using the advantage of a public holiday. We spent around 4 hours walking up and down the mountain. Until we had to stop.
First one. After a steep uphill and meeting the fluffiest dog in the whole. We went for this one. It took was to long as I was looking in the wrong tree and the right tree, wrong side. I eventually spotted it and signed. However getting the logbook in was a complete pain and took far too long. But TFTC ZZ7!

Finally summer is back, so it seemed like a good idea to climb a mountain, and earn some caches. So we grabbed the hound, jumped in the car, and headed over to Mt Taylor. It's been a while since I've been here, and I'd forgotten about how steep it can be in places - but today I was surely reminded.
This cache was a gentle reminder, with only a steep rocky slope to navigate - as I neared the gz I was feeling a bit of trepidation that the hint would be 'under a rock'!!
Still, the cache was located in only the second location searched, so a quick win for number one today. A pause to watch out over Woden and enjoy the view - then it was onward towards the top.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache ZZ7.

A fun day climbing up and down and around Mt. Taylor with Joolay, MinnieK, GLISS!, Fitzy_1965, and Tank engine (who came along for the walk, to check his caches).
TFTC - I had found this one previously, but I enjoyed coming for a visit

Today was the day to tackle Mt Taylor. I had done a few on the other side but now for the main lot. In the company of MinnieK, GLISS, Fitzy_1965 (who already has most of them), Aykayam and Tankengine (who joined for the walk and to check on his caches) we set out up the hill. The sun was shining, there was a lovely breeze and great company.
OMG that hill going down. So very hectic. I had to carefully walk down as I thought I was going to slip. We were going to go further but then realised we had to walk back up to go a different way. OMG the hill up was worse. Its practically vertical. Anyway cache was not too difficult to find soon found, signed and returned. TFTC

Out and about today with Joolay, GLISS! and AyKayEm to tackle Mt Taylor.....accompanied by fitzy_1965 & Tankengine.
Well this was easy enough to find but the getting there and back where both a killer. Logging at 9.25pm and still aching.
Added a new sheet of paper as the existing log was full.

Enjoying a sunny and unusually warm Canberran winter's day trekking around Mt Taylor.
Thanks for this cache which was a pleasant mini-detour while descending this side of the mountain. Took a few goes to get the right location, but spotted the little blighter from a bit of a distance in the end and signed while taking in the views.

Found on April 29 2018 and Feb 17 2019. Forgot to log original find . Found a second time withMaris4 on a Sunday morning walk. Thanks
Mt Taylor was the target of our groups todays walk. This cache was close enough to grab.
Spotted quickly

The tree has grown around the cable tie, and has snapped it in turn, but it is still holding the cache up because the right hand side of the cable tie is actually inside the tree! Might need some maintenance soon though before the cache falls out.
Took me a minute or two to spot the tiny little thing, thankfully it isn't in a forest!
Thanks ZZ7

It was hard to find because we thought it would be bigger but we found it in the end.
Waramanga dog walk. Quick find on the way back down the hill. Third find on Mount Taylor for the day. Thanks.
It was a glorious spring day today, so seized the opportunity to go for a stroll after work and headed up Mt. Taylor. Of course a few caches were sought along the way!
This was the first find of the day, with some lovely views from gz.
Cache easily found.

Took a few minutes of searching but we found it in the end. Thanks for the cache.
Came up here on a Meetup walk... decided to make a quick detour for this one (and another one later
Half of a very new caching team, Noelil, was with me but I think her and the other half of the team are going to come back later to make the find again because she didn't sign the log ...
TFTC - nice little detour on a nice walk up the hill
