Had another look for this cache today with no luck. After talking to one of the reviewers last night - a needs archived was suggested. There has been no response to previous needs maintenance requests.
After finding my first cache, thought I would give this a go. No luck but not done hunting, may need to look closer if the logs it has been moved is true.
Found possible evidence of caching lying on the ground - Gunnie69 sticker. Since we have attempted three times to find it, I give up for it
Checked this one again last night as there had been a recent find and maybe I could find it as well. I checked all trees (not just bottle brush trees), all obvious places in the playground and still didn't find anything. I spent about half an hour searching but no luck. The council have been doing ground maintenance around the trees and I wonder if the cache has been found as part of these works.
This one definitely needs an owner check and maintenance on it. I probably will not return to this cache as I have now looked for it about 3 times and don't find this area particularly inspiring.

The bananas were tempted to this location by one recent find. Turned the place upside down. Expect the generous amount of mulch has covered the hide
Found myself a pretty new 'I love geocaching badge' - definitely worth the itchy bites I received collecting this cache!
Jack, Ollie and katelyn unfortunately found the remains of this cache. Destroyed by muggles.
Found tag no 0633852 and have taken it to leave at our next find.

No joy for me tonight. In the company of Lochb who secured this one a couple of years ago, I searched for a while before resigning myself to adding it to my list of DNFs.
Looked for this one today but didn't find it. I may be back though I don't really like playground caches.
Easy find in my lunch hour. As described, the park is very quiet which was good because I normally ignore playground caches. Thanks for the smiley.
Luckily the park was empty on this nice afternoon so we made a swift retrieval signed and were back on our way

My first find for November and another date marked off on my GeoCalendar. Stopped at a cache near to this one but it was a bit busy so I aborted and set off for this cache. As the description suggested I found GZ empty and soon had the cache in hand.
Signed the log and replaced where found.
Thanks lathamk

This certainly is a well hidden park, we nearly drove right past it without noticing! Found relatively quickly out in the open by my muggle friend whom was being introduced to geocaching. Returned the cache to the nearest and most likely intended hiding spot. TFTC lathamk!
Had been to the pictures at The Sun and thought I'd grab a quick find afterwards. Had to wind my way through the streets (as I'm not a local) and finally found this small little park.
A quick find and sign in the dark, but I had trouble replacing it where it had come from. Not quite sure how it was held in place (magnetic?) and thus may need a visit to check that it is being held out of sight as intended.
TNLN, TFTC lathamk
Cheers

Last time I attempted to find this cache, in the dark, I was interrupted by a torch being shone in my face by a local resident. Despite my attempts to explain geocaching, his refusal to stop trying to blind me, and demands to see ID resulted in 500 lumens of demonstration of the first point, and a polite explanation of public versus private property, plus the pointlessness of making demands without authority, and inviting him to call somebody with clout if he wished. Knowing this was all a waste of time, I then bid this individual good evening and walked back to the car to drive home.
Today, in the drizzly conditions, there were no such unpleasantries, as the place was deserted. So I made one of those frustratingly easy finds you sometimes get on a return visit. Glad to get a smiley and move on. Cheers.

Thanks for the cache lathamk. GZ was deserted so I was able to make a quick find. Wouldn't like to try this during school holidays.
Yay
I found it, good old dad and his finding skills!
How did he get them????
Thank for the awesome cache

# 1904. The third cache of the day around the area. The playground itself was quiet but as we got back to the car there were workmen at the end of the street. Hope they didn't think it too strange that we appeared out of the playground. Luckily my partner in crime had found it previously as although I did as the hint suggested and almost had my head in the tan bark I could not find it. My PiC came to the rescue. TFTC
My cousin, sister and I couldn't find it and we looked for at least a hour or half a hour. ??
Hopefully one day we'll go and try to find it again.

Took to visits to grab this one. We drove past the first time and were pretty sure we knew where GZ was but there was a muggle and mini muggle right at GZ. So we drove off and went in search of Roger nearby then came back and luckily, GZ was clear. Made the quick grab and moved onto some other nearby caches.
It took us two goes to collect this one as on our first drive by, there was a big and a little muggle playing on the playground. So we went off and found another then returned and all was clear!
Out on a caching day with Highrod!
Sure is a hidden park. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Tilley enjoyed getting out here too!

A dog barked at me the whole time an I hit my head on the way in. Better than not finding it though! Picked up TB. TFTC!
Find # 344 logged at GZ at 4:01pm after stocking up from my favorite homebrew shop around the front. T4TC!
Such a cute little park! I hope it gets used. Geowife was onto this is in seconds, letting instinct guide her. We have lived in Yarraville and bought bike roof racks from around the corner and yet never knew this was here. Thanks for bringing here! Cheers!
a cute little park. blink and you'll miss it.
very odd in an industrial area.

Out for our almost weekly night run in the city and surrounds. A cold night warmed w good friends BelleAkelea and Atraversiamo as we headed towards Yarraville this time.
After scouring this secluded park (9pm-ish it was definitely not being used) we all three turned up nada!

I agree it was a hidden park - it was on the other side of a concrete wall. Because no mugles were around I could get down low and dirty.
Signed the log and moved on.

If I'd noticed earlier that Riddell had not been able to locate this one, I wouldn't have bothered stopping to search.
That being said, it's a cool little park, and seems to get some use.

Searched high and low but no luck. Kids enjoyed the playground so we might try again one day.
I found this one 24/10/2011 but forgot to log him.....could not believe there was a park here....sorry lathamk & thanks for the cache.
Found this after some looking around

Found this one out in the open laying on the tan bark underneath the play equipment. Rehidden in a logical spot I think that ties in with the clue and co-ords. Nice little park in an unusual location. tftc. Good one.
What a great little park. Will make a good stop next time with kids on bikes.
The pencil needs a sharpen next time if you have one.

find 8 of 20 for the day. wow, i never knew this park existed! what a strange place for a random park!
Found this one with the help of kel279 as it had moved and been covered by some wood chips. Another find to add to the holiday trip tftc
Find # 3529 and 4th of the day @ 3:07 pm. I had the afternoon to myself so what better than get a few caches. I dont know why I didnt look here the first time, TNLN, Left my mark in the log, Thanx Lathamk....
4th find for the afternoon and again had no idea this park was here. A quick easy find with no muggles around. TFTC lathamk
One of a few I grabbed on my arrival in Melbourne. Came down on the train and rode my pushie around to Williamstown picking up a couple of caches on the way. Numbers were limited mainly due to the size of the pack I had on my back. Large!
To change the subject, this is very near to where my wife used to work at one stage while we were Melbouneites. Perhaps not the best memories because we had our car pinched from there. Anyway still a nice little park and a welcome rest too.
Thanks indeed lathamk

Found @ 2100 Hrs! In the area to add a few more 'smilies' to my total!! Turned into a pretty nice day with the sun shining, although the breeze kept things cool! Always enjoy getting down to this area as there are always plenty of photo op's!
Nice quick find with it being nice & quiet at this time of the night and soon had the log signed & was on my way again...

Found nicely after worrying the park may of been constructed with houses or offices as I got closer..then still found it nicely. Nice park and yes, hidden!
Found on a wet and windy afternoon caching in Melbourne's West. This certainly is a hidden park... a few unexpected businesses in this area too! TFTC.
Found this cache during a short geocaching session with nadya on Saturday midday. It's interesting how this little park sits there between the buildings.
Caught the train up to Southern Cross and then down to Port Melbourne to pick up a new geomobile and while in the area I had to grab a few caches and this was #4.
The hardest part of this guy is where to park in the middle of the day. Wandered down to this great little gem and soon had the prize in hand.
Thanks lathamk for placing this cache.

Dropped past for a quick find on the way home from an arvo shift at 2300. What a great little park, very neat and tidy. Found the cahce very quickly due to great co-ords. No kid muggles to worry me at this time of night.

It's too nice a day to be sitting at a desk so I ducked out over the bridge for a quick lunchtime cache run. Found quickly with no muggles around which is lucky because I had no geokids with me for cover. Thanks lathamk.
Met up with trailrunning and tagged along for his usual monday night caching run. Had a pretty good start with a find every 5 mins. Hidden park with playground.. seems like the perfect time at night. Playgrounds are usually a nightmare in the day.. Signed the log in the darkness and off we went. TFTC:)
It's a warm Monday night and a great night for caching. jsmyong55 and I met up at around 5:30 at Swinburne for run on the other side of the Westgate Bridge. We had a good run at the start with about 6 finds in half an hour, but slowed from there for various reasons. All in all a good few hours. Arriving at this site we walked over to the obvious spot and made a very quick find. A neighbouring muggle walked across the street as we signed the log, but was unaware that two grown me we crouching in a playground signing a log in the dark. Oh how I love playground caches ... not. Thanks lathamk.
It is really a weird place for a park.
But nice and easy cache, found it in the first place I looked.

Last day on a trip to Melbourne. Set myself a goal of finding 50 caches today, achieved that so was pretty happy. Visited some nice areas and found some good caches. Located this cache quickly - area deserted luckily. SL TFTC
We were muggled in this deserted little park! Quick explanation satisfied their curiosity and then they left. Thank you, nice cache lathamk, we unintentionally took some bark home with us
Nice little park for kids but decidedly not my preferred type of cache.
Schools are off limits for caches, and playground equipment should be too in my opinion, but luckily the park was unused today as the cache description indicated it probably would be, so I was able to look without scaring the hell out of any mothers who may have been in the vicinity.
Cache was found and logged, thanks.
