I was all set to do a multi in the city, only to find that the final location isnt accessible 24/7. Dang! So Ive tried this one instead. Id taken a photo of the necessary sign many moons ago, but my organisational skills are poor, so it was starting from scratch here. I thought my calculated final looked a bit dodgy, but as I approached it looked a bit more promising. Still took me a while to make the find, much relief when I did. Thanks for this multi Squizzie.

Out for stroll, and having a great day! Enjoyed finding out more about Ken, and the stroll around the oval. Also enjoyed the hide, which was good, and I really had to trust my GPS.

On way home from calling into the city to pick up a VID (very important document) I swung by this one on my way home. Bit of time spent looking for it. But got there in the end. TFTC SL

After sitting in the oval working on the co ords, we took the short walk to the GZ. As soon as we came close, I said to Mr Unssy, oh yes, thats a Squizzie cache. Spot on Co ords, easy find . Thanks Squizzie for the entertainment and exercise. We have never been to Prospect oval for a sporting event. Thanks Squizzie This is our 100th day of physical caches collected. We now can log the cache we found in Belair

Peas was up early this morning, wondering what Jolly0 was doing for her birthday. So a quick message to ask if she wanted to do lunch with some caching on the way there and on the way home, and she was in.

I dragged Jolly0 to this location as Carrots and I had previously tackled it, but didn't seem to have the final coordinates right. A quick solve by Jolly0 and she came up with the same final GZ as we did. But look at the satellite pic, it doesn't look right. OK let's go have a look, says Jolly0. Well, I'm never trusting Google satellite maps ever again. It seems I had the right coordinates this whole time, just needed to go and see where they led me. Geo lesson 445, tick. TFTC Squizzie (you sneaky bugger)

25-Jul-23
If there is one lesson we learnt today it was to trust your caching skills.

Peas wanted to revisit this cache as Peas&CarrotsForever had come up with some numbers but didn’t believe they were correct. So I crunched some numbers and they were the same. So we decided to have a closer look where this took us and of course, it took us to the cache!
Another smiley on my map.

Keep smiling

Sadly I had no luck here… I’ll be back!

19-Jun-23
Found the sign - it is getting pretty weathered so might not be legible in a while. It started raining while I was working out the coordinates so I waited in the car. After it stopped raining I started my search. It took a little while but eventually located the cache which was a bit spider-webby. Thankyou for the cache!

I have never visited this oval before. Growing up I was a Norwood fan.

Quick calculations and a short walk brought me to GZ.
Mid search I was startled by a young girl coming around the corner on her bike and proceeded to ride into the fence. Perhaps I startled her which caused her to lose control. She picked herself up, dusted her self off and carried on her merry way.

Cache found without problems and is in good condition.

Thanks for the cache Squizzie.

I came to do this multi in 2018 but after working out the co ords I couldn’t find the cache. I came here again last year to GZ but still nothing back today on my way home from and event and sure enough the cache was easily found and is all good.

Found. Tftc. Enjoyed finding this cache. Not in our usual area

10-Jun-20
OMGosh remember coming here years ago, collecting information. Pretty sure I took a pic of the wrong sign, hence never solving the multi. Back today to check out the AirRaid Shelter nearby for an Adventure and once again took a photo of the wrong sign to sort out later. Tried the first bit and it didn't make sense, so re read the listing. Silly silly girl!!! Anyway, solved and the final was sort of where my car was parked, so signed and bolted off to pick up the monkey from school as she proposed a breakfast date..... Cheers and thanks Squizzie

15-Nov-19
Thanks Squizzie for this cache. I cannot believe I have left this one sit here in plain view all this time. I had a need for my daily square and no time to grab it. I delayed an appointment and took 26 min early minutes and bee lined for this one. I parked right by wp in the oval, then realized the medical park would have been ideal. I gathered the numbers and was suspect at the Simplicity. I didn’t think some ones back yard would be gz. I double checked the numbers. Had to be it. No time to grab another so jogged to gz. Oops a fence. How to get through. Saw the hide layout and knew I could find it, so navigated my way there and with a reverse camera found the cache easily. Ran for my car and back to the city to collect her worship without much grief. Phew, daily done. Onya Squizzie, good history on Ken

The usual Wednesday Wandering plan was hatched and abandoned in short order. Along the way we bagged some silver and bronze podium positions. All up an enjoyable day out with plenty of finds without traveling too far.

I MUST learn to keep my mouth shut. Driving up Main North Rd to another cache I mentioned I hadn't been successful in my earlier searches for this cache. This prompted an immediate left turn and resulted in a find BFE style.

THanks for the cache Squizzie.

It's good to finally have this off our solved but unfound pile after having it there for several years Smile We solved the location of GZ some time ago but at that time we were unsuccessful at locating the cache. Since then, we have been back to this location through the years but never really got the chance to actually search again. Until today Smile The little dog did hear us eventually and started yapping but by that time were replacing the container Smile TNLNSL TFTC

09-Sep-18
Out & about on a lovely, spring day with CPwanderer & Gizmo's Gang.
It wasn't the best time to find this one as a local game was in progress.
We also had football goes coming & going out of the area.
It took two goes to find this one as we were in the right area, but not on gz.
Don't think the nearby dog was too happy with us, thanks for the cache Squizzie

09-Sep-18
Worked our way to the final GZ and then spent far to long searching. The yapping dog over the fence and the constant stream of muggles made this an uncomfortable search!!

09-Sep-18
Found with CPwanderer and clare007 after what seemed an eternity of searching with muggles and a barking dog keeping us on our toes.

Was passing by and had a bit of spare time so thought I would stop and have a go at finding this one. [^]
Parked the car in a side street and walked to the given coordinates. Found the sign and started working out my new coordinates when the rain started. Surprised Luckily there was a bit of shelter that I moved under while I plotted the final and waited for the rain to stop which took forever and got heavier which then had me worried that I may not be able to get back to the car without getting soaked. Surprised
Then just as quickly as it started it stopped so I decided to walk to the final and hope it didn't start raining again. [?]
Arrived at GZ and made the find reasonably quickly then headed back to the car after a whole circuit of the oval. Big Grin
Thanks for the cache Squizzie. Smile

Am trying to get a few more multis done to try to get the SFE multi cache. This one has been burning a hole in my gps so decided to head out this lunch time. Geohusband and I enjoyed reading all about Ken last night, what an amazing kick he was, impressive stats. Found the required info at the gates and then continued my walk around the oval and found the nicely concealed cache at GZ quickly. TFTC Squizzie.

Footy isnt really watched in our family but it didnt deter us going for this cache. Tftc on this cold morning.

23-May-18
Was dropping my vehicle off this morning for a service, and this multi-cache was nearby, so I thought I would grab the coordinates off this, and then return in the afternoon on my bike when picking up the car. Coordinates were easy to grab, although the sign is certainly looking quite worst for wear. Still readable, but certainly an antique!

Later in the day, visited the coordinates and spent 15 min looking. Thought I had better get my hands in to try to start feeling for something, and lol and behold, felt a cache. Managed to retrieve, sign, and replace, thanks in explaining the kicking machine hero here!

So I am in Adelaide for work... So of course who needs to rest in the evening.... Thankfully brisal5 and anymules were on hand to keep me company and help me locate some impressive caches.
The boys have been very busy working out lots of puzzles, I am really here to just keep them company and spot anything they miss.
Thanks

Day 2 of mogni in town for one of her many work roles. Staying at Mawson Lakes right close to Bob Land. [^] At long last I would be able to get to some of the BFE puzzles that had regularly been appearing and being solved at Puzzled Puzzler Meetings. And of course any others that happened to appear on the GPS. [8d] I had already spent most of the day with Mrs. Aussie M&M whilst her car looked at. Razz Now having picked up mogni a call from Anymules resulted in him joining us as well. Surprised
Isn't it funny how the slightest sound in the dark of night seems to echo like a cannon booming. Red Face Although in stealth mode under the cover of darkness our search for this cache seemed like we were a group of kids running down an alleyway running sticks over the corrugated iron fencing. [B)] But amazingly we didn't seem to disturb anybody and I eventually put my hand into a particular hidey hole and felt something very familiar. Smile We stamped the log and skedaddled as fast as we could. Thanks Squizzie. Big Grin

22-Nov-16
After a bit of a search, Brisal5 put his mits in the right spot and we finally had this little beauty. Resisted the urge to give it a Ken Farmer kick. TFTC. 22/11/16, 8:50 pm Find #3361.

Finally success Big Grin. The final co-ords have been burning a hole in the GPS for a long time and every time I visited the GZ that mint tin kept eluding me Sad So I kept an eye on the logs and was determined to find it today. I am sure that checked that hidey hole before Surprised. Thanks Squizzie.

Today I called passed again to visit this cache, I have been unsuccessful in the past but at half time of the Norwood V North game there were not too many people around. Once again the pooch in the nearby property got wind of my snooping around, good little guard dog, but pain in the butt when you are trying to discreetly find a cache.

Any way sadly my team the leggies lost today but the upside was that I was successful in gaining this cache and clearing some nearby munzees as well. TFTC, glad to finally have this one of my 'to do' list.

09-Nov-15
Looked at the right angle, re-read the hint but still no cache. Cant even blame the dog as it was very quiet Sad.
Will have to try another day.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Been working on a few multis lately and this one popped up. Called in on the way home from work and gathered the information. Did the calculation and plotted the calculated GZ and it looked OK. Called in today to get the smiley. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ and started searching. Is it that or is it this. No. Look again. And suddenly the aha moment struck just as the dog started barking. Quickly found the cache and took it for a short walk to sign the log while the dog calmed down. Back to GZ and replaced the cache. Gratias pro cache.

Parked around the back for Mrs SASR to walk around the oval and ogle the young men in thier tight shorts, what a shame they were not practising at the time. TFTC

This has been a nemesis cache for me and today was the day to find it.
Although the guys in tight shorts were not practising it was still worth having a look at them warming up. LOL. This cache took a set a pair of snakes eyes to find this one. TFTC

Was keen to do this one as Brad was a fervent Rooster supporter as a kid. Ended up playing for the Redlegs due to residency rules but there's still a soft spot for North.
It took a little while to decide that my numbers were correct. Then this was compounded a poor choice of approach direction. Corrected and cache found. Dog barked. I suspect this happens every time!
Interestingly and sadly Brad last saw the man who the walk is named after on the day he passed away. Another Roosters great. Took a moment to reflect. TFTC

06-Sep-14
Found a lovely spring day. We thought we might have had a problem with yapping dogs but no such problem today (there were a couple of wimpers but the owner was out and about in the back yard so it was behaving itself). We had to halt our search at one stage when some cycling muggles came around the bend. We were waiting patiently for them to pass, but it turned out that they were not muggles at all but the lovely geocaching team of CucinaV. A joint search was then carried out before the little hidey hole was found. Even after putting it back, when we went to point out where the cache went we had trouble relocating the spot Smile.

Walking the dog is a good excuse to linger while I searched. The dog on the other side is a barking nuisance though. Muggle came along before I could replace the cache, so had to walk almost to the oval before I could turn back and return it to its snug home. TFTC.

After spectacularly failing to find the other Squizzy cache, Owl decided to try this one and got a complete work-out. She went across the oval to the sign, decided it wasn’t the sign she was looking for (perhaps there’s a reason she couldn’t find that other cache), went around the oval to get to the outside of the gates (the sign lies), discovered it really was the sign she was looking for, so all the way around again (did she mention the sign lies?) and down to the cache. At least this hide was straightforward!

08-Feb-14
Well, what an adventure! Sorted out the coords almost a year ago. Probably one of the first multis we ever tried. I remember that the wether was also very hot on that day! But the cache has alluded us ever since. And that dog! Drives me crazy! A snapped twig, or a slight scrape on the fence, sets him off every time and he just won't stop. I was convinced that this one had gone missing until a recent find gave me renewed hope. Another visit to GZ a few days ago and finally laid my fingers on the cache but the dog just wouldn't quit barking and so I gave up yet again. This morning was the day and fittingly it was another stinker. Pirate Luke made the extraction and, for once, the dog seemed to be elsewhere. Ken Farmer has been found! Hallelujah!! TFTC Squizzie! A saga to be remembered Smile

02-Feb-14
TFTC - Squizzie.

Solving the multi was relatively easy, but alas that is where the logging of the cache finished.

After many passing visits to the GZ area and coming up empty handed, finally the cache was in hand on a very extremely hot afternoon (45 degree day)

I have noticed that this cache has not been logged for quite some time (the cache is safe and sound in its hide)

I can not cross this cache off my list which has been hiding for quite a long while.

25-Jan-14
Argh after 6 months since my last visit, I thought I would try again on this one and once again came up with no cache - perhaps a visit by the owner to see if it is still there would be reassuring.

I keep upsetting the dog in the neighbouring house when I visit.

28-Jul-13
Barking dog & lots of footy supporters meant my search for this cache was fruitless no matter what angle I looked from. Will try again another day.
