reporay I found your cache GUM TREES CATTLE CAMP on 13/7/2023, 10:25 am. This is my find 5894 and find # 2 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
We are in the area for the Magic Maker Event on Kenilworth Bluff and used the day before to get out here.
We love country drives and enjoyed the area.

Many signs asking not to leave road on this property so I decided that it’s a beautiful spot but no search for smiley. That is no judgement on cache placement or choice of those who find the cache. I did, however, take a photo of the stunning gum trees and am grateful for cache placement as it is what helped me chose this route for day 5 of my bicycle tour.
This weekend myself and my girls were staying in the area with Mr & Mrs Burdons5 and their family to celebrate Mr Burdons5 50th Birthday. Today Mrs B5 and myself were out collecting a few smilies and exploring the countryside. We pulled up close to gz here and followed the geotrail to the search area. A bit of poking around and the container finally showed itself. We added our names to the log and headed back to the geomobile toward the next one. Tftc reporay
After having a look at Borumba dam and voting to keep going further on the search for our perfect picnic spot, we detoured down Bella Creek Rd to find some caches. We were a little disconcerted by all the private property, trespassers off the road prosecuted signs but assumed the CO has the land owners permission for the caches... we just couldn't have our picnic here though.
Nice drive through the countryside with lots of onlooking cows, and soon found the camp with a whole herd of cattle milling around. We parked just off the road trying not to disturb them and headed up the little slope. Mercifully it was a quick find as it was stinking hot at about 36 degrees.
Looks like the tree is now a log...

Out with Dora the Explorer! collecting a few caches she wanted to target. We were passing by this one, so stopped off to make a quick find. With our names added to the log and the cache returned to its spot, we continued on our way. TFTC
Quick and easy find with Selva Girls. Beautiful area, decided to take out the new Mahindra for a drive heading towards my targeted caches, Cleo and Post and Rails.
A lovely day to be out caching brought us to this one and the replacement cache. Good grades road so far. TFTC
After an early morning paddle I went for a drive in the countryside to grab a few caches that popped up since my last visit to the area in 2009.
The road to this one had been graded so it was an easy drive to the camp and after parking nearby I headed off and soon had the cache in hand. Sadly the pen was back in the geomobile so I got a bit more excercise before signing the log.
Once the log was signed the cache was returned as found.

I took along some trackable to visit.

Out and about today with my amazing GeoWife KaleidoscopeCass in the Imbil area. Decided to go for a looky here and a looky there.. unfortunately as last geocacher in the area mentioned. Tree was burnt and cache has been destroyed. I had a couple of small containers on board and seeing as this is such an old cache and the owner no longer caches. Replaced with a small preform container with weatherproof paper under one of the 2 rocks.
What a beautiful moment when my geohubby WallabyTim drove around the corner and we saw this peaceful spot with such majestic trees. Very special place that I hope other people now venture to, to retrieve the replacement cache. A handy hint - long pants might be helpful, the grass was above knee high today.
Said tree has been burnt recently and has fallen over, two rocks are present but no geocache I would say it's been destroyed
Decided to head up the valley today and get some more smileys. Located quickly

Out with a small group of friends to increase the D/T rating.
Although the grass was high we decided to stop for a spot of lunch here.
I am sure the locals that drove past thought we were mad.

Mrs Just a Trifle was out for a day of caching with barbbowman, FastEd59 and Raynersinoz trying to increase our difficulty / terrain average to 1.9 It is slow going, but we know we will eventually get there Fortunately it was an overcast day so this helped to keep us a little cooler while walking through this interesting bit of bush land, making for a very enjoyable day out.
This was a quick and easy find and with our names in the log book, we decided to stop for lunch and to celebrate Mrs Jimmy Project's birthday.
Thank you reporay for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Sunrday. Slow Puncture met at Kilcoy early this morning with some other intrepids from the Northside Puzzle Group to nab some higher terrain and difficulty caches.
After finding Wide Open Spaces, we continued along this lovely country road and soon found ourselves paralleling a nice creek. Soon we got the the bend in the road opposite this cache. After the cache was located, we all stopped for a nice lunch and Barb produced cake to celebrate Ruth's birthday.
This really is a nice spot.
This was the 5th of 11 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***reporay***, for showing us this place.

Sometimes Ratdog has a few problems with her navigation today was one of them, we ended up at the dam and she had no idea how that happened. now to see where we went wrong.
found our mistake and now we were on the right track. nice country round here.
Seems that we were following some bike riders never saw them though.
arrived near GZ and saw a goanna darting across the road. At least he was heading away from the cache . I then saw a new container was needed here. Do we have sometime. YES we changed the container to a black painted soaker container with a blue lid. should be find here . Log signed and swaps replaced and dryer. time to head.

As I was passing and knowing that the CO is no longer active, I'd give this a health check.
Container is no longer water tight and the log was too wet to save.
Replaced the logbook and slipped it into a plastic bag.
Didn't have a new/spare container, so adjusted the hide to hold the container vertical, this should reduce the amount of water that can enter through the cracked lid.
Could the next finder please bring a replacement container, a small sistema will do.
Happy caching

What a beautiful stand of trees. Really worthwhile just for that. Had to negotiate the road works to get on the road. Container is looking a bit sad though and needs relax enemy. TFTC
Found with Goldielover today on a nice drive. We had stayed the night at the local camping area and after a nice walk this morning we thought a drive to this one would be in order. The cache though was full to the top with water. We turned it upside down and left the lid loose. Will give it a chance to dry out a little we hope. The log though is past saving though. Nice area for the cache.

#1947. A Cattle Camp - We thought this spot was great for morning smoko camp on our second day of caching in the area.
Nice easy find But a pity the finder b4 me hadn't clipped the lid properly on the container - it was full of water so I dried it out, luckily the zip bag kept the log dry & signed log 9:30am.

1250hrs. After leaving the markets in Imbil and heading back to camp the weather started to clear so we thought we would we would attempt a drive and see what the road was like. Such beautiful country up in here and the road was pretty good. Pulled up at GZ and after a short climb we found the cache in good condition. TFTCSL

The day after a geocaching event I saddled up with Nyssaflutterby and membsec and decided to head west out for a few caches. This was first of the day and holy smokes was this a nice drive to this point. The floods and even more recent rains have left their mark with water over the road in a few small spots but its these roads out well off the beaten track that I love. We soon found ourselves coming around the last corner and pulled up to head for the cache. On the way up the hill Nyssa and I found a tiny spider and spent ages stuffing around trying to take his photo while membsec made the find. We all then headed to GZ for the log signing. TFTC, a wonderful area reporay
Camping nearby for the Forest Challenge Event over the week-end.
mr_fy, ac16220a, a muggle (at the moment ) and myself went for drive this morning to find a couple more caches in the area.
An interesting and scenic drive along this road.
Thanks for the cache.

This cache was part of our post- Forest Challenge caching today. Nyssaflutterby, Captain Terror and ourselves completed an epic day of caching with some great views, brilliant 4WD driving and great company - a most enjoyable day.
Great spot, magic country.

Found it! Well membsec found it while I stuffed around with Captain Terror trying to take photos of a spider. I did race up the hill just to sign the cache however. Lovely area for a Sunday drive with a few caches thrown in.

Good to see this one was placed up the hill - otherwise I fear it would have long gone with floods in the area. I trapsed up the hill and soon found it in a likely area. I see some lasses from Brisbane Girls Grammar recently found it as well! The cache was in great condition.
A very nice area out here - I don't think I have been here before. TFTC reporary

Found with a small posse from the Forest Challenge 6. This was the last of four that we did on this road, before turning back to Challenge Central and Peach Trees. Thanks for bringing me here.
Last cache on the drive - someone yelled found it just as we were starting the climb up the hill, but it was just a joke, and we continued up the hill where the cache was quickly found.

Having come from the Forest Challenge 6 Geocaching Event at Jimna today, we found the cache on the hill on our right, but all was good. Co-ordinates led us up the correct hill and the cache was found as described. Grass was pretty long today but most of us followed one another and felt safe enough. Thanks for placing the cache out here reporay. This is such a pretty drive we were glad to find some caches out this way. TNLNSL.
Yes indeed a lovely drive today in beautiful weather. I stood and just looked around at the colour and trees and hills. Not having grown up in the country, I am only now finding out how varied - and vast - are the bush areas in Australia. It is great that people place caches in these places because it gives us a reason to drive out somewhere we would never see otherwise. Thanks for maintaining the cache for us to visit.
A successful find. Although there was a lot of water in the cache, the log was dry.
Drained the water and signed the log.
I do hope the CO doesn't mind, I raised the cache's height and moved one of the rocks to allow better drainage of the hide. This should prevent water entering the container in future.

Nice one. Area on right hand side has been burnt but cache ok. Quick find by Dashstarz. TFTC
Found ok on our drive through the hills on this perfect winters day. The container had some water in it, so we dried it out as much as time would permit before replacement. Thanks reporay
These gums sure are striking. Found cache listening to the sounds of pidgeons and whip birds.
